Until he followed Sanzang out of Guazhou and walked in the vast desert, the young monk was still talking about the Seven Bodhisattvas his brother told him.
While walking, I couldn't help but ask: "Brother Tripitaka, what are the Seven Bodhisattvas?"
Before the master at the foot of the snow-capped mountains could teach him any more about Buddhism, he hurriedly followed Sanzang on his journey to the west.
In this way, whenever you encounter troubles, you can either ask Li Xiuyuan or Sanzang for advice.
This is the practice of young monks.
Sanzang took a sip of water, thought for a while and replied: "In advance of talking about the Seven Bodhisattvas, we should first talk about the five powers. The five powers are generated by the firmness of the five roots, namely: the power of faith, the power of energy, the power of mindfulness, the power of concentration, and the power of wisdom."
The seven bodhi factors are also called the seven factors of enlightenment.
Among the thirty-seven Taoist products, he is the only one named Awakening. It is precisely because I did not realize the five faculties and powers when I first cultivated the four foundations of mindfulness, but I have already realized it when I practiced the Eightfold Path later, and I only cultivated the seven divisions of awakening in the middle.
Enlightenment comes from confusion, awareness comes from not being aware, so it is the only name of awakening.
The young monk seemed to understand, but also seemed not to understand. He just kept Sanzang's words in his heart silently.
I thought that after arriving in Tianzhu and learning more Buddhism from Tripitaka, I would go back and think about these principles.
The two traveled for a day and a night.
Finally, they met a caravan, and Li Xiuyuan, who transformed into Broken Leaf City Ebony, was already following the caravan.
Since ancient times, traveling monks have also traveled with caravans, even Tripitaka.
The young monk didn't say much when he saw his brother. It wasn't until Li Xiuyuan, who transformed into ebony, invited Sanzang to go with him that the young monk leaned over.
Followed behind his brother.
What the caravan was afraid of was meeting bandits in the desert, but what the young monk was afraid of was meeting wild wolves, and bandits were not in his eyes.
On this day when there were no bandits or wolves, although there was wind and sand, it was also the happiest day for the little monk.
Li Xiuyuan gave the gauze scarf he bought at the market to the young monk, and the young monk gave it to Sanzang.
In this way, it blocks the sand and the scorching sun.
When night came, the caravan gathered in a circle and lit a fire, firstly to barbecue and secondly to drive away the wolves.
Li Xiuyuan took out two pots of water, one pot for the three young monks and one pot for Tripitaka.
It's a long way to go, and I don't know when the water supply will be replenished. As early as in Guazhou, Li Xiuyuan had prepared a lot of kettles.
He didn't want to experience the experience of being in the South China Sea again in this desert.
In Sanzang's eyes, Li Xiuyuan was an ebony, so he asked, "Where will the donor go on this trip?"
Li Xiuyuan looked at Monk Sanzang and replied, "Zuiye City is a very far away place. Monk, do you want to pass by there?"
Sanzang smiled faintly: "I don't know either. I just learned about this town from the map, but I have never been there."
The young monk came over and said, "It just so happens that we are on the same road and can walk together."
Sanzang did not reply, because he was a monk and could not force fate in the world.
Li Xiuyuan took out the cakes he bought in Guazhou and distributed them to the two of them, and said casually: "Monk, if you lose strength one day and fall on the roadside, will you regret leaving Chang'an?"
Sanzang shook his head and replied firmly: "Sanzang was born to die, and he only had the Buddha's kingdom in his heart."
Li Xiuyuan took a bite of the cake, thought for a while and said, "On the way to the Buddhist Kingdom, there are bones everywhere."
The little monk shrank his neck in fright, but did not dare to say anything.
At this time, he just wanted to eat enough and quickly get into his sleeping bag to dream. With his brother here, it is estimated that the wolves will never dare to come again.
Sanzang showed compassion, thinking about what the governor said.
There is no water for three hundred miles, and there is no human habitation for eight hundred miles. There is a land of death in front of you, but can you really walk there with Wuliang?
At this moment, Li Xiuyuan continued: "Even if you walk out of the Desert of Death, you have only just walked a small part of a journey of thousands of miles."
The road ahead is long, just like practicing Buddhism in the abyss and unable to see the end of time.
Li Xiuyuan believed that when he was just starting out, he should pour a basin of cold water on Sanzang so that he could understand the hardships ahead.
The night is getting darker, and the merchants by the fire have been trekking all day. After eating and drinking, they all got into their sleeping bags.
Like the little monk, he was dreaming.
Sanzang sighed softly, looking at the ray of light falling from the sky, the expression on his face became more and more determined.
He replied quietly: "When Sanzang left Chang'an, he was already on the way to death."
Li Xiuyuan was shocked when he heard this, and he couldn't say a single shocking word anymore.
He was already suffering a lot, and he didn't want Sanzang and the young monk to suffer more than him.
Sanzang drank water, ate cakes, chanted sutras for a while, and then went to rest, leaving Li Xiuyuan alone guarding a fire and thinking about his thoughts.
In the night, Li Xiuyuan sat quietly by the fire, as motionless as a stone.
Behind him, Sanzang's Zen staff was stuck in the yellow sand, nothing special about it.
He was thinking and waiting.
He didn't believe that there were so many innocent souls in this desert that it would be so peaceful at night. The young monk, Sanzang, and the caravan were already asleep.
If there is trouble, it should appear at this time.
Less than a quarter of an hour later, a cold breath appeared in the whining wind, which made my whole body feel cold even on this hot summer night.
"This is the human world, not the land of Jiuyou." Li Xiuyuan said coldly.
Before he finished speaking, a gust of cold wind picked up the yellow sand and swept towards Li Xiuyuan beside the fire. In the blink of an eye, it was already three feet away.
The evil spirit appeared, and for a while the dark wind continued, and countless black shadows flew out from the wind, trapping Li Xiuyuan in an instant.
There is a strong intention to devour it in the next moment.
Li Xiuyuan's expression remained unchanged, and he did not even take out a piece of talisman. He just quietly stared at the ghosts invisible in the night wind.
"Hehe..." Countless hands suddenly stretched out in the darkness, trying to drag away the young monk and Sanzang beside Li Xiuyuan.
Li Xiuyuan remained unmoved and just watched these octopus-like hands quietly as they quickly approached Sanzang and the little monk on the ground.
"Buzz!" A voice sounded.
A ray of Buddha's light appeared, covering the businessman, Tripitaka, and the young monk beside the fire.
The Buddha's light comes from the diamond Zen staff inserted in the yellow sand.
The Buddha's light is solemn and the Zen staff is powerful. In the night, people feel a sense of worship.
The magic weapon from Buddhism protects the group of people in their sleep. These innocent souls wandering in the desert do not dare to invade easily.
Li Xiuyuan watched everything that happened in front of him quietly, without sadness or joy. He was waiting for these guys to go crazy.
Once these guys go crazy, they will attack regardless.
"Huhu..." A gust of wind blew up.
But it was the wronged soul in the wind that gave up Sanzang and the young monk on the ground, and launched an attack on Li Xiuyuan who fell to the ground.
Li Xiuyuan waved his hand and punched out...
"Boom!" There was a sound, and a terrible aftermath erupted in the night. The innocent soul couldn't bear it for a moment, and with a whimper, it scattered in all directions.
Then it turned into more arms, arms that looked like bones, and grabbed Li Xiuyuan. A gloomy and cold breath made people feel creepy.
"Crack!" There was a sound, but it was Li Xiuyuan who took out the iron sword at some point.
He waved his sword and chopped the arm reaching for him into pieces. Before it fell, it turned into a burst of black mist and dispersed into the night.
"Woo, hand over these guys and I'll spare your life..."
In the dark night in the wind, a cold female voice sounded, and even Li Xiuyuan could not see the face of this woman clearly.
Li Xiuyuan remained unmoved and scolded him coldly: "How dare you show up even if you are a monster."
"Then go to hell!"
The figure swayed in the dark night, and countless slender white arms stretched out, even more terrifying than the eight-armed Arhat he had encountered before.
Li Xiuyuan snorted coldly and slashed out with his sword.
At this moment, Li Xiuyuan seemed to fly into the dark night like a big bird, confronting these countless innocent souls.
He decided to stay away from Sanzang and the young monk and eliminate these guys in the wasteland.
Since Sanzang and others were protected by the Zen staff, he could free these guys with peace of mind, so as not to stay in the wasteland and cause harm to future generations.
The power of the sword shook the dark night, and a sword energy split the black fog until it was more than ten feet away.
There were countless innocent souls surrounding him, and Li Xiuyuan had no choice but to slash them out with his sword.
But Li Xiuyuan was shocked by the power of these wronged souls. Every gust of wind was like a sharp sword, with astonishing power.
Even though Li Xiuyuan possesses the Buddhist nirvana body and has a physical body that is unparalleled in the world, he still fights hard.
Just when Li Xiuyuan was having a very difficult time, in the dark night in the distance, a pair of dark eyes slowly opened.
With a "whoosh" sound, a black sword flew out from the depths of the night, turning into a black lightning and slashing towards Li Xiuyuan, who was about to slash with the sword.
The next moment, "Crack!" The iron sword in Li Xiuyuan's hand broke into two pieces. He was so angry that he waved the broken sword into a bolt of lightning and slashed it into the dark night.
Then there was another sound of "Shua!" and a sword energy was cut out, annihilating the ghost energy that flew over.
This time, he took out his Purple Bamboo Sword. The two runes on the sword had been activated. When the sword was drawn out, he wanted to subjugate demons and kill ghosts.
The people in the depths of the night ignored the woman with countless arms and surrounded Li Xiuyuan while still whining.
Li Xiuyuan shouted coldly: "Since he has died, he should have entered reincarnation as early as possible instead of staying here to harm the passing caravans."
"Can you control us?"
The woman in the black mist shouted coldly: "Go away obediently, you can still leave alive, otherwise you will end up like them, and they will all die."
Li Xiuyuan closed his eyes and activated his Nirvana fire, which condensed with the flames on the bamboo sword. Gradually, an invisible sword energy rushed out of the bamboo sword in his hand.
It grew longer and longer, and the bamboo sword turned from less than three feet to a giant sword of five feet.
He read in his mouth: "Thousands of deaths and thousands of lives, the sense of karma is like this. After hundreds of millions of kalpas, there is no time to find a way out..."
The bamboo sword in his hand turned into a diamond sword used to subdue demons in the Buddhist temple at this moment, and it was slowly slashed out from in front of Li Xiuyuan like a slow stream of water.
The heavy black mist spreading from the night erodes away.
At this moment, he did not use the three thousand Buddha's light to turn into a golden sword, but replaced it with the sword intention that he had comprehended on the snowy mountains and on the three thousand stone steps of the Dahuang Mountain.
I want to turn the fire of Buddhist Nirvana into an endless river and attack you, melting this vast black mist, then engulfing it, and finally purifying it.
"woo woo woo woo!"
How could the woman in the dark night and those terrifying eyes give up?
So bursts of black mist soared into the sky at this moment, turning into terrifying black snakes, dragons, and sharp swords.
They rushed towards Li Xiuyuan. They wanted to devour the young man holding the sword first, and then deal with the sleeping people.
It's just that they underestimated Li Xiuyuan and turned into a black snake and dragon as the black mist rose.
Li Xiuyuan's bamboo sword slashed out a sword energy that was like water, and instantly turned into a huge wave surging into the sky, like a torrent rushing from the mountains in the dark night.
Like light, electricity, and water, it will drown the monsters and ghosts in the dark night.
This is one yin and one yang, one hard and one soft. The water-like sword force combines with the invisible blazing flames to kill the innocent souls in the dark night.
"woo woo woo woo!"
The woman in the dark night used her last trick, and saw a gleaming flame rushing toward Li Xiuyuan's chest.
