It is said that Sanzang was taken away by a group of officers and soldiers, and was escorted all the way to the city lord's palace, and came to Li Daliang, the governor of Liangzhou City.
Looking at Sanzang who was neither sad nor happy in front of him, Li Daliang frowned and asked: "You are a monk, why are you joining in the fun on the street?"
Sanzang clasped his hands together and replied: "Monks are compassionate. Whenever you encounter someone who died in vain, you should recite sutras and be saved."
Li Daliang sighed, looked at the master aside, then looked at Sanzang and asked, "Where did the monk come from?"
Sanzang replied: "The poor monk Sanzang came from Chang'an and wants to go to Tianzhu to obtain Buddhist scriptures."
Li Daliang was shocked when he heard this, and continued to ask: "Learning scriptures and spreading Dharma is a good thing, but the Holy General wants to use troops on the border. If you want to pass through Liangzhou, do you have a customs clearance document?"
Sanzang sighed softly when he heard this and replied quietly: "There is no clearance document."
Li Daliang became angry when he heard this, frowned and asked: "How did you get out of Chang'an without any documents?"
Sanzang replied again: "The sage has a decree to allow the victims to eat as much as possible. I am leaving the imperial city with them."
Li Daliang was shocked when he heard this and scolded: "You are violating the charter. If the emperor knows that he will punish you for a serious crime, even I will not be able to escape the blame."
"Let's stop here. I will no longer hold you accountable. There are many monasteries in Liangzhou, so you can stay here and continue to promote Dharma."
Li Daliang pointed to the master next to him and said: "The master is very familiar with the temples in Liangzhou City. Let him take you there when you are done."
Sanzang became anxious when he heard this: "The poor monk has been practicing hard for more than ten years, but he has never been able to see the true scriptures. I would like to ask you to make it easier for me."
Li Daliang shook his head and replied firmly: "Either go back to Chang'an, or stay in Liangzhou to promote Dharma. Don't think otherwise."
Thinking that something was wrong, he continued: "I will order you to go to the state capitals in the west. If you are found, you will be captured and sent back immediately."
The master presented the portrait of Tripitaka he had just painted.
Li Daliang took a look, pointed at the portrait in his hand and said, "Look, a portrait like this will also be sent to the west along with the official document. Don't take any chances."
When Sanzang saw it, he was so stunned that he couldn't speak.
The master stood up, looked at Sanzang and said, "I am an old acquaintance with Master Huiwei, the abbot of Dayun Temple in the city. You can follow me to meet him, and even find a place to stay first."
Li Daliang waved his hand and said: "Go ahead and remember not to think about smuggling across the border again."
Seeing no other option, Sanzang had no choice but to follow his master and leave.
Li Daliang looked at the two people leaving, shook his head and said: "Seeing that a war is about to break out at the border, you are so bold. It's incredible."
When the master brought Sanzang to Dayun Temple, Li Xiuyuan had already left.
Before leaving Liangzhou City, he didn't want to meet Sanzang.
After the master introduced Sanzang's identity, he said goodbye and left, and warned: "Monk, remember the words of the governor, don't even think about sneaking in."
Old monk Huiwei looked at Sanzang and asked, "Why did the donor come?"
Seeing that Sanzang was afraid that he would not be able to leave Liangzhou now, he had no choice but to live in peace for now and stay in Dayun Temple.
Then he clasped his hands and said, "There are people in the world who can cross the other shore, and there are people who have not drowned in the sea of suffering... I vow to go to Tianzhu to seek the true scriptures, and in the future I can help people in the world who want to escape the sea of suffering and cross to the other side."
Hearing this, the old monk clasped his hands together and said softly: "Life and death are over, the holy life has been established, and the work has been done... Even if Sanzang has made such a great wish, the road ahead is as unique as a mountain of knives and a sea of fire."
The old monk also knew the rules of the Tang Dynasty, not to mention that Sanzang was personally sent by the master of the city lord's palace.
Even he couldn't think of a better way for a while.
He waved his hand and said with a wry smile: "If you want to cross over to the other side, you should first settle down in the temple and preach to the stupid disciples in the temple. Wait until the limelight passes, and then think of a solution."
Sanzang lowered his head and thought for a moment before replying: "Master has mercy."
The old monk smiled and said: "I have arranged a Zen room for you, how about asking the young monk Wuliang in the temple to accompany you?" Sanqi replied: "But it is convenient to have a place to stay."
The old monk no longer struggled with him, poured a cup of hot tea for Sanzang, and sighed: "Don't blame Mr. Li from Liangzhou Prefecture. The border is not peaceful at the moment. I'm afraid there will be a war."
If there is a storm at the border, it means that the people will not have peace, and the people will not have peace, and it will also affect the Taoism of the monks practicing in the temple.
Even the old monk, as the abbot, had a moment of powerlessness.
Sanzang shook his head and replied: "There are beacons at the border, but the innocent people will suffer in the end."
Just as he was talking, the young monk who had settled down in his residence called out from outside the Buddhist hall: "Master, is the lecturer's monk here?"
From this moment on, the young monk is the young monk Jin Wuliang in Dayun Temple.
…
When Tripitaka began to practice in Dayun Temple and preach to the monks.
Li Xiuyuan, who couldn't rest, spent a few quiet days in the inn, then left the city and headed for Dahuang Mountain.
After reading the story of Liangzhou City and learning that there was a large barren mountain outside the city, he became interested and wanted to go and find out.
If one world supports one person, it should also give birth to the elixir that belongs to that world.
From Da Qin to Da Zhou and then to Da Tang.
He hasn't picked any elixir in the mountains yet. Even when he returned with Xiao Hei last time and went all the way down from the top of the snow-capped mountains, he didn't encounter the elixir he wanted.
At that time, both brothers wanted to return to the foot of the mountain quickly to see if there were any old friends in No. 47.
A few wisps of clouds slowly drifted across the sky, gradually blocking the sunlight. Climbing on such a day makes it easier for people to feel insignificant.
The desert is windy and sandy, and it is rare to find a large mountain. Li Xiuyuan's eyes immediately lit up.
No matter how high the mountain is, if there are immortals, they will be spiritual.
But Li Xiuyuan didn't come here to find immortals. He knew that there were no immortals in this world.
There is fog in the mountains, hanging on the mountainside, looking like clouds in the sky from a distance.
Li Xiuyuan walked up without any hesitation, although these mountain roads did not have the stone steps he imagined.
Along the way, except for the occasional two hunters, there were no homes in the mountains. This was an incredible thing in the Central Plains.
He waved his hand and murmured to himself: "I say Sanzang, it's great for you to be in Dayun Temple."
There are old monks and young monks Jin Wuliang in Dayun Temple. Tripitaka should be fine.
Where the winding path leads to the secluded area, as far as the eye can see, there are some unknown wild flowers blowing in the wind on both sides of the mountain road.
There are thick grasses beside the road, and some people are even taller. There are more and more grasses along the way. It seems that few people came to Dahuang Mountain in the past.
Along the way up, Li Xiuyuan could not find the majestic feeling of the Tianshan Mountains, nor the beauty of the Imperial City Snow Mountain. Looking back, he could faintly see Liangzhou City hidden in the long yellow sand.
As you go up, the mountain road becomes narrower, and the previous gravel path has turned into uneven dirt. From time to time, one or two birdsong can be heard in the distance, and it is very quiet going around.
Li Xiuyuan simply gave up on the mountain road in front of him and headed towards the deserted mountain stream.
In his opinion, only in moist places in mountain streams would there be a chance to find one or two elixirs.
Although his expectations were not high, he still hoped to gain something.
Otherwise, it is not impossible to go down the mountain and cook a pot of elixir to temper the body for Sanzang and the young monk.
He even had some hopes that he could find a sacred painting on a stone wall like Murong Lingyu in the secret realm of the mountains in Tianluo City.
Or, like Xiao Hei, go into a magical painting and pick some magical medicine from other worlds.
However, as he walked, Li Xiuyuan had an illusion.
Feel like you're in the wrong place? Or did you walk into a painting unknowingly?
When I climbed the mountain, I just mentioned that this place is full of loess and there are no stone steps.
Now an endless stone staircase appeared in front of him. When he looked up, he felt that the mountains in front of him were so high that they reached into the sky.
There is an old man sitting on the stone steps at the foot of the mountain. The old man is wearing a Taoist robe. The old Taoist's eyes are staring blankly at the top of the stone steps, obviously thinking about whether to go up the steps or not?
While looking at it, he touched his thigh and sighed leisurely, obviously feeling overwhelmed.
Li Xiuyuan stepped forward and raised his hands and asked: "Senior, may I ask where this is? Why are you here?"
The old Taoist responded casually: "Didn't my foot get injured? My home is on the top of the mountain... Oops."
While he was talking, the old Taoist pulled his thigh and saw a trace of blood on the ground. It seemed that he had just accidentally fallen down the stone steps.
Li Xiuyuan took a step forward and asked, "Junior, I have the golden medicine, can you allow me to bandage it for you?"
The old Taoist priest frowned and replied: "I have already bandaged it, but even applying the medicine will probably take me a few days."
"I dare to ask senior, what is on this mountain?"
Li Xiuyuan looked up. He had never seen such stone steps before. Even the stone steps of Xuantian Temple back then were not so steep.
With a helpless smile, Li Xiuyuan had a way with the old man.
Looking at the blood stains on the ground, I thought to myself, why don't we just turn around and go down the mountain?
Then he said: "Senior, it just so happens that I want to visit the mountains, so let me carry you."
After listening to this, the old man's expression became serious.
After pondering for a moment, he said: "There are three thousand stone steps in this long mountain road. Even if I used to spend half a day with nothing, I would like to do it, sir. Can you do it?"
Li Xiuyuan sighed: "I want to try."
The old Taoist nodded and said with a wry smile: "I am very poor. Even if you carry me up, I won't have any treasures to give you. You have to think clearly."
Li Xiuyuan smiled lightly: "How about you give me a spiritual medicine?"
Upon hearing this, the old Taoist slapped the stone steps and cursed: "That's what you originally had in mind. There is medicine on the mountain. You can find it yourself."
After thinking about it, he replied: "Do you think I, with my old arms and legs, can go to that dangerous place to collect medicine?"
"You have to give me some benefits. I'm not a god."
How could Li Xiuyuan tolerate him? He immediately said seriously: "Senior, bridge to bridge, follow the way back, you have to give me an explanation."
The old Taoist laughed and said, "When you go to the mountain and there is still scenery, how about I show you a way?"
Li Xiuyuan's heart moved and he smiled faintly: "Senior, you are asking me to gamble with Cai. What I don't like the most is gambling on luck."
The old man was speechless. He patted the stone steps under him and replied, "Just one plant."
Li Xiuyuan smiled and said: "Deal."
The old Taoist sighed and replied leisurely: "Don't regret it, otherwise you will get nothing."
Li Xiuyuan shook his head, thinking that even if there were three thousand stone steps, he wouldn't be able to defeat him.
However, the moment I stepped onto the stone steps with my old ways on my back, I realized that my thoughts were too naive.
Back in No. 47 in the Imperial City, he smiled at Xiao Hei and smiled like a mountain. Now he felt the same as Xiao Hei back then. He had the illusion of lifting and landing like a mountain.
At that moment, I couldn't help but complain: "Senior, you are just kidding me. There is something weird about these stone steps."
The old Taoist also sighed and replied helplessly: "There is already gravity here...not to mention that you are carrying me on your back to climb the mountain. I'm afraid this gravity will be doubled on you..."
Li Xiuyuan was shocked when he heard this and thought, good guy, are you trying to test me?
Not to mention whether it was Dahuangshan who wanted to torture himself, or whether the old Taoist in front of him wanted to torture himself, and he didn't know that the Nirvana body he cultivated needed such tempering.
Thinking of this, Li Xiuyuan couldn't help but ask: "Master, where has the old monk gone, and where is the Yelu Pearl?"
After thinking about it, only his unreliable master would do such a thing, so he couldn't help but ask.
The old Taoist was stunned when he heard this and replied: "Who is your master?"
