General Zuo, who was in the snow and wind, abandoned hundreds of forbidden troops and took the rest of the group to rush towards the royal city.
After this battle, even if I beat him to death in this life, I would never come back to the grotto.
He had never seen Li Xiuyuan kill people with a sword before, but when he watched his men fall on the snow like straw in autumn.
Only then did I understand why the vanguard general and his army of thousands disappeared into the mountains of the grotto.
How can man defeat heaven with this inhuman strength?
Just after Youshi, when Li Xiuyuan finished cooking the hot pot, the fat monk finally took Xiaohu back to the kitchen in the grotto.
The fat monk saw Li Xiuyuan getting worried and asked, "Brother, what do I use these swords for?"
Li Xiuyuan looked at Xiaohu and asked, "Go and wash your hands before eating."
Then he sighed and said quietly: "You won't let me make another incense burner and put it in the Buddhist temple, will you? Are you finished?"
The fat monk smiled and said: "You should think about it for me and make an incense burner to protect me from encountering any monsters in the future...ahem..."
Excited, the fat monk couldn't help but cough, because he had a reason to be excited today.
After going up and down the mountain, he and Xiaohu made another unexpected fortune.
Just as Li Xiuyuan said, if he stayed for another half hour at night, he might have to wait until next spring before he could go down the mountain to pick up money.
The mountain was as lonely as snow and life was miserable. Finally, the imperial army from the royal city came to give money. How could he miss it?
Xiaohu looked at the meat in the fat monk's bowl and couldn't help but ask: "Big monk, how can you eat meat and drink wine?"
When the fat monk heard this, he couldn't help but smile bitterly and said: "It's snowing here, so why don't you find some green vegetables for me? Do you want to watch me starve to death in the mountains?"
The two of them kept arguing with each other, and soon the pot of mutton was half empty.
After thinking for a long time, Li Xiuyuan looked at the fat monk and said, "Is there a quiet and airtight cave? It may take me a few days to complete my practice."
Xiaohu was startled when he heard this. He pulled Li Xiuyuan's sleeve and said, "Sir, are you injured?"
The fat monk shook his head, looked at Xiaohu and said, "Don't interrupt, just listen to what senior brother has to say."
After Li Xiuyuan was silent for a moment, he said: "I haven't practiced quietly for a long time. I need a quiet place. It may take ten days and a half."
He didn't want to tell the fat monk and Xiaohu that his phaseless golden body was about to break through. It was currently snowy and he couldn't go to the wild to find a cave. It wouldn't be safe either.
Since this is a grotto, there will be a safe place for him to complete his practice quietly.
Breaking the border at this time is also good for him, because after the beginning of spring, he will go to the Great Wall, and then he will have to return to the imperial city of Da Qin soon.
Along the way, how could there be time to practice and break through the realm?
After hearing this, the fat monk finally understood what Li Xiuyuan meant.
Putting down the bowl in his hand, he said slowly: "Tomorrow, I will help my senior brother to clean up a clean place where we can practice quietly."
Xiaohu laughed when he heard it, and said with a grin: "It turns out that Mr. needs to practice too. It almost scared Xiaohu."
Li Xiuyuan poured a glass of wine for the fat monk and smiled thoughtfully.
"Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand. There is nothing in the first place, so how can it cause dust! In fact, I agree with another sentence. Perhaps only in that way can I remind myself all the time."
The fat monk frowned and couldn't help asking: "Which sentence?"
Li Xiuyuan spread his hands and replied: "Brush it frequently to avoid dust."
…
Just when King Shanyu in the royal city had his arm cut off for the right general, Jin Buhuan sighed and said that the right general had another beheaded.
Just when the Zhuan Qulan family in the small courtyard in the west of the city was cheering for their son to find a powerful gentleman.
Li Xiuyuan in the grotto has fallen into a secret room somewhere in the mountain. A rune formation separates him from the outside world into two worlds.
Before that, he asked the fat monk to put up a notice board at the foot of the mountain. Before the spring of next year, the grotto would be closed to all visitors.
Except for Fat Monk Mo Shang and Xiao Hu, no one could enter or leave the great formation in the mountains freely.
Because he didn't know how long it would take him to practice on this trip. During his absence, he had to ensure the safety of Xiaohu and Fat Monk.
Without the supervision of his husband, Xiaohu had to practice alone under the watchful eye of the fat monk every day.
I get up early in the morning and practice sword practice for half an hour. After breakfast I have to write and read, and in the afternoon I have to spend another hour meditating to circulate Qi.
The fat monk smiled and said: "Xiaohu, you can't always rely on your senior brother. From now on, you have to get used to practicing alone."
Xiaohu thought for a while and replied: "Don't be afraid, sir, he will take me to the academy in the Imperial City of Qin."
In his opinion, his husband will probably never leave him until he grows up.
At this moment, the sky was full of wind and snow outside, but it could not affect Li Xiuyuan's meditation practice at all.
Holding a hand-copied Buddhist scripture in his hand, he was reading: "...Knowing my Dharma is like a raft metaphor. Dharma should be given up, not to mention illegal."
The Buddha said that it is like crossing a river in the abyss. After crossing the river, you will naturally have to abandon the raft... The same is true for Buddhism. If you have to abandon Buddhism, how much more illegal?
What is law and what is illegal?
What is attachment to the Dharma and what is non-attachment to the Dharma?
Is the fat monk in front of the grotto palace attached to the Dharma, or is he not attached to the Dharma?
Am I obsessed with the Dharma after the Phoenix's Nirvana, or am I not obsessed with the body that will grow old on the Tianshan Mountains?
There is nothing in the first place, so where can I get dust... When I was born between heaven and earth, is there something in the space, or is there nothing at all?
If you don’t have anything, what else do you need to practice hard for? If you are attached to one thing, when will you be able to give up your body and become a real mortal?
As the sage said, progress is also a worry, and retreat is also a worry. When will I be as worry-free as Master?
Wuyou, the apprentice nephew of the Nangong family at the foot of Fangcun Mountain, returns to secular life and marries his wife Xiaohua. I wonder if he is worried or Wuyou?
Does the old Taoist priest, who transcends all worlds, like or worry about his disciple?
Over and over again, Li Xiuyuan kept asking himself.
Finally, I simply put away the Buddhist scriptures in my hands, slowly closed my eyes, held the lotus in my hand, and imagined that I had become one with the mountain.
Suddenly his brows wrinkled.
Previously, he stood on the cliff and looked at the world. The world in front of him was just a mountain range hidden in the desert. There were stone walls between the mountains. The sages built countless grottoes on the stone walls.
The grotto supports Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in a space between heaven and earth.
When he fell into a meditative state, used his spiritual consciousness to perceive the world again, and released his soul to the nine heavens, he realized that the dark clouds had quietly dispersed at some point.
A snowy moon blocked the sky full of stars and silently illuminated the mountains, rivers and land, but he turned into the bright star in the sky.
A voice rang in his ear: "What did you see?"
Li Xiuyuan, who was focused on the Nine Heavens, murmured back: "I saw the heaven and the earth, I saw the Buddhas who were incarnated in the three mountains, I saw the living beings in the Yuezhi King City..."
The voice continued to ask: "So, did you see yourself?"
Li Xiuyuan calmly replied: "You can't see, I am water? No. I am wind? That's not right either. Then I must be this mountain, but if I am a mountain, why can I fly into the stars?"
Li Xiuyuan in the starry sky was deeply confused.
Just like back then, he was in the Buddhist hall but could not see the Buddha.
How can he, who has transformed into mountains and rivers and earth, with his heart above the stars, see himself?
I don't know how long it took before he murmured to himself: "I am nothingness. If you can't see it, you can't see it. Just like the Buddha said that all appearances are not appearances, am I not me? Or am I already here?"
A voice came from the starry sky again: "The Buddha said to observe the heaven and the earth, observe life, and observe freedom. How can you observe at this moment?"
Li Xiuyuan, who had transformed into a star, felt as if he was flying across the starry sky at this moment, returning to the time when he and Xiao Hei were in the mysterious River Styx in the Shenlong Continent, and they didn't know the changes of life and death for thousands of miles.
Am I dying or reborn at this moment?
In the vast starry sky, Li Xiuyuan suddenly replied in a daze: "At this moment, I am observing life and death..."
"Boom!" There was a sound.
Li Xiuyuan, who was sitting in the grotto, suddenly felt an invisible flame starting to burn from around his feet.
Lao Shang told him back then that the phaseless golden body lies in enlightenment rather than hard training. Only through enlightenment can it be broken.
But at this moment, Li Xiuyuan said something that even Buddhas and Bodhisattvas would not say easily.
All conditioned dharmas are like bubbles in a dream. It is like dew and electricity, so it should be viewed as such.
Buddhism is in the world and is inseparable from the awakening of the world, but at the moment Li Xiuyuan has transcended the realm of Bodhisattvas, observing life and death, observing heaven and earth, and observing life.
At this moment, Li Xiuyuan came to the Wangchuan Bridge and looked at the sentient beings waiting to cross the river. He observed himself, freedom, and life between life and death.
A nameless fire of karma slowly burned in the grotto, burning from Li Xiuyuan's feet, then to his chest and abdomen, to his hands, and to the top of his head.
In less than a moment, Li Xiuyuan, who fell to the ground, had turned into a blazing fire of karma, quietly completing his self-contemplation of the formless golden body in the grotto.
In an instant, the stars in the sky shine brightly, and a new moon has colorful divine lights hovering around the moon, like a colorful phoenix, flying with the moon.
The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the cave came to life at this moment.
For a time, the sky was filled with the sound of chanting Buddha, echoing between heaven and earth.
"Transform all sentient beings into the Buddha's path. If I meet any sentient being, I will teach them the Buddha's path..."
Hearing this, the fat monk who was sitting quietly in the Buddhist hall and had not yet fallen asleep could not help but put on his clothes and walked to the cliff. He was speechless for a long time looking at the vision in the sky, and burst into tears for a while.
Sitting on the ground in the snow, he murmured and recited: "In the six realms of reincarnation, I suffer from all kinds of bitterness... All dharmas are from their original state, and they always appear to be in peace and extinction."
The Imperial City of Qin is located on the snow-capped mountains.
The master felt something in his heart, so he walked out of the wooden house, looked at the snowy moon and the colorful phoenixes flying around the moon, and listened to the faint sound of Buddhist scriptures being recited in the sky. He couldn't help but sigh again and again.
He murmured to himself: "It is really wonderful to hide eighty-four thousand Dharma doors between heaven and earth, and to hide three thousand avenues in the heavens."
If Li Xiuyuan said that the Master was not a saint before, then today's epiphany made the Madam take a crucial step toward becoming a saint.
Above the nine heavens, among the heavens.
In the Xinghua Valley at the foot of Mount Xumi, the old Taoist priest suddenly visited today, causing Mu Mu and Nangong Ruyu to gather around him to inquire about Li Xiuyuan.
The old Taoist priest pointed to the starry sky outside the living room and said calmly: "Look at the new moon and the phoenix orbiting the moon."
Before he could say anything, the faint sound of Buddhist scriptures being recited could be heard in everyone's ears.
Taoist Li pulled away the clouds and black holes in the sky and showed everyone the current moment of Li Xiuyuan.
I saw that Li Xiuyuan in the grotto had burned until only a faint flame remained, and no trace of his voice or smile could be seen anymore.
Li Hongxiu screamed: "Senior, why is this happening? Why is the Imperial Master so burned that he can't even see his face?"
The old Taoist priest sighed and said leisurely: "The Buddha said to observe the heaven and the earth, observe life, and observe freedom. Guess what my disciple is observing right now?"
"What are you looking at?" Tang Qiuyu walked in from outside the living room, because she was also frightened by the vision in the sky.
There is no mystery about phoenixes circling the moon, because there are two phoenixes right in front of us.
But it was the first time she had seen Buddhist sutras being chanted all over the sky since she started practicing.
Because tonight there is no green lotus to illuminate the heaven and earth, no divine dragon to appear, and no golden light to break through the nine heavens.
The old Taoist priest sighed and said with a wry smile: "Today my disciple is having an epiphany about life and death that even Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are unwilling to talk about lightly."
"Brother is watching life and death at ease?" Mu Mu said nothing, there was a bang on his body, and a golden flame burned.
"Master is doing a life and death study?" Nangong Ruyu frowned tightly. Like Mu Mu, a flame burst out of her body.
The old Taoist priest shook his head, rolled up the two of them and walked out of the living room.
He turned back to Li Hongxiu and said, "These two little guys are going to Nirvana. Take me to their room quickly."
