For seven consecutive days, Li Ye stayed in his husband's study to practice the mental methods in the "Formless Dharmakaya" scripture.
The first mental method in "The Formless Dharmakaya" is to temper the body with medicine, laying the foundation for subsequent physical practice. The second level of mental practice is the combination of Buddhist practice and physical practice, which is similar to the practice of the golden body of Arhat in Buddhism.
The first level: body tempering, completing the simplest change of the physical body.
The second level: skin refining, the state corresponding to the formless dharma body is the self-image. I refine my skin, and my skin resists swords and guns.
The third level: bone refining. The formless Dharma body corresponds to the human form. The human form is refining bones, and the bones are like diamonds.
The fourth level: Muscle training, the formless Dharma body corresponds to the appearance of all living beings, and all living beings practice muscle training, and their body is like an ape, agile and free.
The fifth level: blood refining, the formless Dharma body corresponds to the longevity person's phase, the longevity person refining blood, the golden elixir can resist the Nascent Soul realm.
Turning over my heart, I saw the summary on the first page...
Self-image: I am originally a speck of dust in the universe, arising and dying due to the combination of causes and conditions, so there is no self, it is the name of self.
Human aspect: Other people are also a speck of dust in the universe. They rise and die due to the combination of causes and conditions, and are no different from me. Therefore, there is no other person, just another person.
Appearance of all living beings: All living beings are just a handful of dust in the universe. There is me in you, and you in me. I will be born after you are destroyed, and you will be born after I am destroyed. Therefore, there is no you and me, and there are no living beings.
The appearance of a person with longevity: Why are there no you and me, and no sentient beings? It’s because all laws are the law of birth and death, and time is a false concept. Therefore, there is no such thing as a longer life and a shorter life. In the infinite and boundless void Dharma Realm, no matter how long it is, no one will live longer. Lifespan is a snap, and at that moment, there are actually countless unknown void realms.
The theory of these four non-phases refers to the reality of dependent origination, birth and death. The first three points are in space, and the last fourth phase, the longevity phase, is conveniently explained by the name of time...
The "Phaseless Dharma Body" that the teacher gave Li Ye was incomplete, and only contained the first five levels of mental training.
After the old monk of the Great Buddha Temple taught Li Ye the six-character mantra, he asked Li Ye to recite it a thousand times a day, and he felt the Buddha's light surrounding him. During these seven days of practice, Li Ye practiced the first-level mental method of "The Formless Dharmakaya" while silently reciting the six-character mantra thousands of times.
The first level of mental method is just a simple tempering of the physical body, which does not involve many mysteries of Buddhism. Therefore, Li Ye only needs to use the Qi-moving mental method taught by Mr. Feel the subtle changes in your body a little bit...
There is no sun or moon in the practice. Every day, Agui would give cooked meals to Li Ye in his husband's courtyard. Li Ye could not care about other things while he was concentrating on practice.
When the seven days are up, because the physical body has been tempered for a long time, and the six-character mantra has been refined into the physical body, the first-level mental method has been successfully practiced. Every time Li Ye recites the mantra, a faint Buddha's light emerges behind him. There is a solemnity about it.
"I have finally mastered this formless Dharmakaya. I won't be afraid of others seeing my state when I go out in the future." I was secretly happy in my heart, but I couldn't show off to others if I walked with Jinyi at night.
After opening the door to the study, the first thing Li Ye did was to go to the front hall to look for his husband.
Agui brought some water and said, "Master, you haven't washed your face in seven days. Wash it before you go see your husband."
Li Ye looked down at the water in the wooden basin and saw a bald little monk reflected in it, giving off a faint look of treasure. He said softly: "After shaving my head, it is indeed much cleaner. I don't need to take care of my long hair, otherwise I will definitely look like a beggar."
I washed my face with the water in the basin, but I still felt that there was a strange smell on my body, but I went to the kitchen and fetched some more water and washed my whole body three times, and then the bad smell was washed away.
Agui said with a smile: "Master, the water you use is more expensive than the water used to kill pigs during the New Year."
Li Ye glared at him: "I have a strange smell on my body. How can I see you sir?"
Agui said in a pen: "This is also the truth."
After washing his body and changing into a clean robe, he walked out of the room.
I walked to the front of the hall and greeted my husband. The husband looked at Li Ye and said, "I'm glad that I have cultivated the first level of mental skills in seven days. You now look like you are only at the second level of Qi Gathering."
Li Ye replied: "It's all down to the potions Mr. made for me before, otherwise it wouldn't have such an effect."
"From now on, you can read the books in the study at will." The gentleman said lightly.
Li Ye nodded in thanks and said, "Sir, I read the second-level mental method, which is about practicing self-image. What is self-image?"
The teacher lowered his head and pondered for a moment, then said: "Being without form is a Buddhist practice. I can't give you correct advice. Don't you know the old monk from the big Buddhist temple in the city? Find an opportunity to ask him for advice. Two, he will definitely teach you carefully."
Li Ye thought of the square-headed and big-eared old monk Kuchan, and he really wanted to pay his respects to the old monk. It turned out that when he taught me the six-character mantra, he thought that I would go to him again. Is this fate?
I feel sad in my heart, but I can’t express it in front of my husband. "For example, if a disciple goes to find an old monk at the Great Buddha Temple, wouldn't it mean that he will delay his practice with his husband?"
"The road to spiritual practice is very long, and it only makes sense to take it one step at a time. Just go to the Great Buddha Temple." The gentleman waved his hand and replied.
Li Ye nodded thoughtfully.
In the evening of that day, when Li Ye and Agui and Agui were on their way home, Li Ye became the scenery again.
After not seeing each other for a few days, the little brother turned into a little monk. Who could you tell me to believe it? A familiar person came and wanted to touch Li Ye's head, which scared Li Ye and ran away.
When he returned home, Mrs. Confucius saw him and asked why he would shave his head, but Li Ye blushed and said nothing.
Agui quickly replied: "Madam, sir, the young master was struck by lightning again. As a result, his hair and clothes were burnt. Sir, he said he should shave it off."
As he said this, Agui covered his mouth and snickered. He was so angry that Li Ye kicked him over and scared Agui to the point of jumping up and down.
The lady also covered her mouth and smiled, saying: "This shave is a must, but you can't take it seriously. The old Li family is still waiting for you to carry on the family lineage."
The master held his chin, smiled and said nothing, and said, "Does your master want you to see Master Kuchan at the Great Buddha Temple?"
Li Ye's mouth suddenly opened wide and he said, "Dad, are you a magic stick? My husband just asked me to see the old monk. How do you know?"
Agui also looked surprised.
The master pretended to be profound and said: "The old Zen master of the Great Buddha Temple taught the Dharma, and my husband shaved your head. If you don't go to the Great Buddha Temple to learn the Dharma, what do you want to do?"
The lady became anxious and said in a loud voice: "This is a spiritual practice. You must not become a monk, no matter what you say."
After saying that, he grabbed Li Ye and held him in his arms. I felt so distressed that I was struck by thunder this time, and only a few years later, I was struck by thunder again. Is this God sick?
The husband asked Agui to prepare the fasting ceremony and offer it to the old monk tomorrow.
After not seeing each other for seven days, Madam felt sorry for Li Ye, so she asked the kitchen to cook a table of dishes, and served Li Ye with food while eating.
Li Ye replied: "Mom, my husband said that practitioners should be pure in heart and control their material desires. My husband and I only have two dishes to eat."
The master nodded in agreement, but the wife was heartbroken and said, "Sir, I am the master. I have no control over your practice with him. When you get home, just listen to your mother and eat whatever you want."
The master glared at his wife and said, "Aren't you playing a different role and teaching bad children?"
Li Ye snickered while eating, thinking that it was better for his mother.
A night of silence.
...
Early the next morning, some friends who were up to no good went to the General's Mansion to find the young lady: "Wushuang Wushuang, your Li Ye shaved his head and went to Dafei Temple early in the morning. What should you do?"
The young lady was eating eggs and almost choked when she was startled. He stared with small eyes and said, "I haven't dealt with him yet, so why are you so scared that you hid in the Great Buddha Temple?"
"No, I have to go to the Great Buddha Temple to find him." The young lady raised her feet and prepared to go out.
"Come back!" The general's wife grabbed the young lady's hand and called: "Li Ye is going to be a monk. What does it have to do with you? Who is he to you?"
"No, I..." The young lady was stunned for a moment and thought to herself: What does this guy have to do with me?
With a blush on her face, the young lady stopped talking, lowered her head, and went to have breakfast honestly.
The madam looked at the young lady and thought to herself: What do the master and the madam think? What's not good about learning at a young age? Why do you want to become a monk?
The young lady tilted her head and thought: I have to find a chance to go out and ask this boy what he wants to do.
