In ancient China, ever since there were such things as history books, whether they were official revisions of history or unofficial revisions of unofficial history, those who compiled history books were all social elites, and they all used the pen as a whip and history as a mirror.

Historiographers are so full of pride that some people like Sima Qian, who compile history, will destroy the book but not others, and start over again after failure.

People at the time may not have realized it, but thousands of years later, people realized how powerful these historians were.

Things in the previous dynasty were pretty much whatever they said! The emperors are in charge of the present, they are in charge of the eternity!

But now, times have changed.

A well-educated history university professor, his knowledge dissemination audience is far less than that of a slightly famous historical online writer.

As for social influence, it's even worse.

Even if the online writer is talking nonsense and treating the fabrication as official history, as long as the story is well written, there will be people who will praise it.

The more people listen to it and the more people spread it, the nonsense becomes "official history", and no one cares about what real history should look like.

From this perspective, every author of historical online articles can be a hero or a traitor. It can be a messenger to carry forward the essence of history, or it can be an accomplice of historical nihilism. What is spread can be vulgar fun, or it can be a deep historical context.

I felt deeply frightened and uneasy.

I am also afraid that the book will be too profound and no one will read it, and I am also afraid that the book will be too entertaining and written for fun.

The logic of historical novels and the logic of history sometimes overlap, but many times they are contradictory, and even life and death.

The two are often irreconcilable and one must choose.

A person who is recognized by everyone as a bad guy has extenuating circumstances. How is that possible?

How can a man who is recognized by everyone as a good person have such a corrupt private life?

In the Anshi Rebellion, the Hu people should have been the villains. How could the hardcore rebels be made Han?

Anyway, the ones who were wrong in the end were all the bad guys. It seems that without An Lushan, the Tang Dynasty would have been prosperous for generations, and there would never have been the rise of Khitan and Mongolia.

Not many people ask: why is this happening.

It is the people who drive history forward. A single traveler cannot change the general trend. Even if it gains power for a while, the strong inertia of history will make it return to its original track.

What we need in novels are heroes and villains, but what we don’t need to care about is what the historical facts are.

It is ironic to say "talents, beauties, emperors and generals", but in most books, they have everything except the people.

So I was caught in a conflict.

On the one hand, I want to live. It is impossible to generate electricity for love and just write what I want to write.

On the other hand, it is impossible for me to write an article that makes me feel sick even when I read it.

According to the formula of historical novels, if you don't write a trap urban novel, if you don't work as a licking dog for the ruler, then you will inevitably rebel and fight for power.

The dragon-slaying warrior turns into a dragon, or first turns into a dragon and then kills another dragon.

There is a rotten apple on my left hand and a rotten apple on my right hand. What kind of world view should I express?

Or should we just smile and let it pass?

Travelers parachute into ancient times. It is easy to change the political situation, but it is difficult to change the historical ecology. Everyone holds their noses and reads, that's it. Don't delve into it or think about it in detail.

Thinking about it makes your whole body tremble.

Noble families cannot be eliminated, productivity cannot be increased, and imperial power cannot be sent to the countryside. The vast majority of historical novels nowadays are all made up, and none of them can withstand the torture of historical facts! If you stand up and get beaten, everyone will be covered in bruises.

If we can rest with the people and bring decades of peace, we have reached our limit. More, please ask the system for help. Mortals can't do it, even if you take Baidu to ancient times, even if you are omniscient and omnipotent.

When planning this book, there were several times when I wanted to make money on my knees, to write about how Li Yuan played tricks in the late Sui Dynasty, and to write about how the Li family's father resigned and his son laughed. I know a lot of readers buy into it, and a lot of readers like the tone.

I hold my nose and write it. If someone is willing to pay to read it, my wallet will be very smooth and it will make me and my family live a good life. This... is actually not bad.

But I ended up choosing another path.

The Anshi Rebellion was the dividing line in ancient Chinese history, and even the dividing line in the history of Chinese civilization. The changes in the general trend have continued to affect me to this day. Being able to dig into some in-depth content and publicize it is enough to make me smile.

At that time, I had accomplished something that many professors in the history department had not accomplished, and I could indeed boast about it.

If the money is gone, you can still make it again. If the ideal is gone, it will really become a salted fish.

A person's time and energy are limited, and the books that can be written are also limited. Maybe one day after writing, I will no longer be able to write anything that satisfies me, and that will be the end of my career as a writer. Life is endless, but for everyone, there will always be an end.

This book will explore some of the deeper things in the heyday of the Tang Dynasty and dedicate it to you.

Let everyone know:

In fact, Chang'an is the pearl of the Tang Dynasty, but the Tang Dynasty is not just Chang'an. Countless cities have neither squares nor squares, but they are still full of vitality.

In fact, the decline of the prosperous Tang Dynasty has long been doomed. No matter whether there is Anlu Mountain or not, or even a thunderstorm takes away all the rebel generals, what should happen will still happen.

In fact, the prosperous and beautiful times of Tang poetry belong to the children of aristocratic families. Ordinary families are still living increasingly poor lives. In the last years of Kaiyuan, there were already troubled times.

In fact, it was the Anshi Rebellion that stabilized China's core fundamentals, making all regions deeply integrated and inseparable from each other. Blessings and misfortunes depend on each other. Without this turmoil, it is difficult to predict what the future of history would have been like.

In fact, the split of Youzhou in Hebei Province in the late feudal era of China was a foregone conclusion. The root of the disaster was laid after the Eastern Han Dynasty. After the Anshi Rebellion, the Tang Dynasty deliberately and voluntarily abandoned Hebei.

In fact, Taizong was lackluster in terms of system construction and left countless troubles for future generations. During the Kaiyuan period, many wise ministers were just tinkering and resting on their laurels. Only the infamous Li Linfu was the pillar of the country and truly had the ability to delay the collapse of the prosperous Tang Dynasty. .

In fact, most of the Jiedu envoys in the middle and late Tang Dynasty were loyal to the emperor and patriotic. On the contrary, there were many in the Li and Tang royal families who were imbecile, and there were countless people who crossed rivers and burned bridges.

In fact, only the Tang Dynasty was weakened after the Anshi Rebellion. On the contrary, real social changes were in full swing, and the economy and culture advanced hand in hand.

In fact, it is not a pity that the Tang Dynasty perished, and it is not a pity that the prosperous age was destroyed. There is nothing worth cherishing. Future generations will have their own blessings, and people must always look forward.

Is the Tang Dynasty you think real, or is what I told you true? In fact, I'm not sure, and I don't even rule out the possibility that this book will be a hit.

I just want to take a scoop of water from this huge wave of "unprecedented changes in history", see whether the water is clear, the water is turbid, and smell the smell of perfume.

Dear readers, please follow the tip of my pen to the peak of the Tang Dynasty:

The twenty-fourth year of Kaiyuan!
