If it was these immortal figures who opened the eyes of the people of Chang'an City before the opening ceremony, then the first scene at the opening of the sect undoubtedly made them amazed.
In fact, whether it is Taoism in Dongzhou or Buddhism in Xizhou, when preaching to the sentient beings under their rule, they will always belittle the Nanzhou human race to a greater or lesser extent.
It is said that the sky is high and high, the things are vast and the people are densely populated, but there is much greed and murder, much lust and deceit, and much deception and deceit;
He also said that he did not obey gods and Buddhas, did not seek good causes, did not respect the three lights, and did not value grains;
What's more, there are those who slander the people of Nanzhou as being unfaithful and unfilial, unjust and unkind, hiding their true feelings from others, fighting with each other, and killing animals.
Even though the human race's Confucius established the teachings of benevolence, justice, etiquette and wisdom, they were still called ignorant and indulgent people.
Many people who don't know the inside story naturally believe in the words of immortals and Buddhas, so their impression of Nanzhou is actually very average. In addition, they are blessed by immortals and Buddhas, so they more or less think that they are not favored by immortals and Buddhas. Most of Nanzhou is a barbaric and barren land.
But what is the reality?
Is it that Nanzhou is not favored by the immortals and Buddhas, or is it simply difficult for the immortals and Buddhas to open up a new situation in Nanzhou and establish a Taoist lineage?
You must know that when the King of Humans ruled the world, the Central Plains of Nanzhou was already known as the land of China.
That is to say, after the emperor came to power, the emperor's authority was limited to one country. Not to mention the decrees to command the three realms, even if you wanted to secure the throne, you had to follow the legal system. The influence of China in the three realms was naturally weakened.
In addition, during the Jin and Southern and Northern Dynasties, Nanzhou was indeed in turmoil. It was precisely because of this that the Buddhist and Taoist sects of Dongzhou and Xizhou spoke such words.
And based on this judgment, it seems that it cannot be considered wrong. Even the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors in the Fire Cloud Cave have nothing to say.
It was indeed a dark period for China in the Central Plains, but after the unification of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, China recovered. Today, Tian Khan has unified Nanzhou, and even his Xuanjia cavalry has already set foot on Xiniu Hezhou. Its power is unparalleled for a while, and even It can be said that it has surpassed the Qin and Han Dynasties, and is worthy of the name of the prosperous Tang Dynasty.
This also made the name of the Central Plains China appear again in the eyes of the people in the East and West Continents. If the connection between East Continent and South Continent is relatively distant, and the current situation of South Continent is not known, then the West Continent is quite different.
From the Lingshan Buddhist Sect to the subjects of various countries, they are very familiar with the Tang Dynasty because of Master Tripitaka's journey to the west.
Even after Master Tripitaka left Lingshan to collect scriptures, Buddha once joked with the Bodhisattva: "I really don't know whether Tripitaka of the Tang Dynasty came to Xizhou to collect scriptures or to preach."
The Bodhisattva deeply agreed with this: "My Lingshan Mahayana Sutra, he did take back Chang'an, but now he wants to establish the Consciousness-only Sect. Although it is also affiliated with the Mahayana sect, for the people of the Tang Dynasty, Lingshan is another one among them. What kind of position are you in? I have to say that Sanzang always exceeds my expectations when doing things."
This is true, but the Bodhisattva has no objection to Master Tripitaka doing this, and is even willing to promote it. Because she knows that the establishment of the Consciousness Only Sect will be beneficial and harmless to all sentient beings in the three realms.
Perhaps part of the luck in Lingshan Mountain in the West will be taken away by the Consciousness-Wei Sect in Nanzhou, but for Buddhism as a whole, its luck has not decreased, but has been rising.
The difference is that if Lingshan allows the Consciousness-Wei Sect to continue to develop like this, perhaps the Consciousness-Wei Sect will really have a chance to rely on the foundation of Nanzhou to oppose Lingshan.
The reason why Tathagata Buddha contributed to this matter was because of this calculation. It doesn't matter if Tang Sanzang doesn't want to be the Buddha in Lingshan. It's perfectly fine to be the Buddha in Chang'an.
If we really let the Tathagata Many Treasures fulfill his wish, it would be great fun. At that time, even the roots of Western religion would be cut off.
The monks who spontaneously came to the scene today were actually mostly monks from the small sects of Xizhou Buddhism. Compared with Dongzhou Xuanmen, whether it was Master Tripitaka debating the Buddhas alone at Lingshan Mountain or the scene of the Great Sage reciting the sound of thunder, they were impressed by the scene. I deeply regret not being able to see it in person.
Therefore, when Master Tripitaka held the Uncensored Conference in Tianzhu, they all rushed to the scene from various tribes in Xizhou and listened to Master Tripitaka's Buddhist teachings. They were all convinced that Master Tripitaka was establishing a sect. They also traveled thousands of miles to support him. .
It is not necessary to be able to join Master Tripitaka’s Consciousness-only Sect. It is enough that they can hear Master Tripitaka immediately when he lectures in the future.
Such monks are not just monks practicing in the human world.
Even many Arhats in Lingshan have the intention to change their families, and some of them are even monks who practice Hinayana Buddhism. After all, Master Tripitaka is still the "Heaven of Liberation" in Hinayana.
There are relatively few immortals in Dongzhou. Even those who come here today are all for the Great Sage. They are all friends formed when they were officials in Heaven.
It's just that the Great Sage made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace and was pinned down by the Buddha under the Five Elements Mountain, and the contact was cut off from then on. Now that the Great Sage not only escaped from the trap, but also worshiped under the disciples of Master Tripitaka, the Holy Buddha of the Three Realms, they also wanted to "come again" Continue the front edge.
It was only after coming to Nanzhou that I realized that in just a few decades, the Central Plains China had undergone such earth-shaking changes.
For the monks in Dongzhou, except for the fact that they occasionally pass by Nanzhou when they travel through the Three Realms, they are usually unwilling to set foot in Nanzhou. Although the Age of Human Kings has passed, it is actually not long before the demise of the Great Shang and the Age of Human Kings. The end is just over 1,700 years ago.
Although the human kings of subsequent generations were not as tyrannical as the human kings of ancient times, their dominance was still there.
Even at the end of the Shang Dynasty, weren't there still many immortal monks serving in the court?
For example, Wen Taishi, a veteran of the Three Dynasties, Li Jing, the general in charge of Chentangguan, the four generals of the Mo Family in Jiameng Pass, Zhang Guifang, the general in Qinglong Pass, Kong Xuan, the general in Sanshanguan who blocked the road at Jinjiling, etc.
But when the emperor ruled the world, it was completely different.
Even Ji Fa, the King of Zhou Wu who overthrew the Great Shang, did not gain the allegiance of the practitioners, let alone the immortals.
During the crusade against King Zhou, the immortal monks from all walks of life only listened to Jiang Taigong's orders. King Wu Jifa was more like a mascot put on display.
Therefore, the emperor lost the right to control the world, not without reason because he did not conquer the world with his own hands.
This is also the reason why Emperor Ziwei repeatedly created incarnations and led the stars to conquer the world. The power of human blood was too tyrannical. At that time, Ying Zheng directly suppressed the incarnation of Liu Bang. Without giving up, Liu Bang took advantage of the situation and waited until Ying Zheng defied heaven and was backlashed by heaven.
But even so, he almost overturned at the hands of Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu.
Then Wang Mang usurped the Han Dynasty and wanted to revive the prosperous age of human kings. Emperor Ziwei once again separated from the lower world and reincarnated as Liu Xiu. It was only through the power of destiny that he could reverse the situation.
And now this incarnation has been reincarnated as Li Shimin. Although he is the emperor, he has the desire to be a human king. This is something that Emperor Ziwei himself did not expect, but he has no intention of intervening in this matter. It's all up to Li Shimin to do what he does in the lower realm.
But it is naturally difficult for Li Shimin to achieve this arrogant idea that is unrealistic at first glance. But if there is the Holy Buddha of the Three Realms as the backing, then the situation will be very different.
In other words, if there is a human king behind Master Tripitaka, what will the Consciousness Only Sect be like in the Three Realms?
The human king and the holy Buddha in the human world are sworn brothers. With the two of them joining forces, I am afraid that the human world will really become a unified entity. Even the Jade Emperor, who sits high in the sky, has to carefully consider his attitude towards the human world.
Very few people can understand these key points.
Most of the people present still came over to watch the fun.
Fahai didn't like the situation, so the ceremony of the sect's opening ceremony was not too complicated, but there were also quite a few required procedures.
After calming the emotions of the people in Chang'an, Fahai returned to the altar to thank all the guests.
"Amitabha."
Fahai recited the name of the Buddha, then clasped his hands together, saluted the guests, and then said: "Poor monk Tang Sanzang, welcome you to the opening ceremony of our Consciousness Only Sect today."
The guests also stood up one after another and returned the bow to Master Tripitaka.
Even Zhenyuan Immortal and Lishan Laomu are no exception. Bai Suzhen, who is behind Lishan Laomu, can't help but curiously inquire about Master Sanzang while saluting. After all, she has been listening to Master Sanzang a lot these days. Things. After seeing this deity today, how could I not be curious?
The Queen of Xiliang, who was also following Lao Mu, would cast her eyes in the direction of Yu Di's brother from time to time when she saw Bai Suzhen. Later, when Yu Di's brother was talking about the origin and origin of "Wei Shi Sect", she even stared at her with her eyes. Brother Yudi couldn't take his eyes away, which made the Queen of Xiliang frown secretly.
She was definitely not offended by this, but she felt very helpless: Why was Brother Yudi so able to attract the admiration of women when he was obviously just a monk?
Of course, the Queen of Xiliang could see that the way she, Senior Sister Bai, looked at Brother Yu was not filled with admiration, but more out of curiosity. She could only hope in her heart that it would be best to limit it to this. .
Otherwise, there will be one more poor person in the Three Realms.
Lishan Laomu was also aware of this, but she was not worried about it. Although Bai Suzhen had Buddha troubles and emotional tribulations, neither of them should happen to Sanzang.
now.
On the altar, Master Tripitaka, who was briefly explaining the teachings of consciousness-only religion, happened to look at Bai Suzhen when he talked about the fundamental nature of "Dharma" to "consciousness-only".
hiss--
Even Fa Hai was inevitably a little shocked. There was no doubt that he recognized Bai Suzhen at a glance.
But the Fahai of today is definitely not the Fahai of the past. Even though he was a little disturbed when he saw Bai Suzhen at this moment, his expression remained calm, and he even smiled and nodded towards Bai Suzhen.
Bai Suzhen didn't show any timidity when she saw this, and bowed her hands very generously to Master Sanzang.
But at the same time, there was something strange in my heart, and I said in my heart: "Why do I feel like this Master Tripitaka knows me?
"Elder brother, does Master know this Miss Bai?"
Little Bailong on the side saw that his master was actually interacting with Bai Suzhen behind Lao Mu, so he couldn't help but send a message to the senior brother next to him to ask.
"I guess I don't know you. Miss Bai mentioned that she has been practicing in Qingcheng Mountain since she was a child. She also recently became my teacher and followed me to walk in the three realms." When the Great Sage said this, he also Too sure, "Master probably has no chance to know her, but it is also possible that Master went to Qingcheng Mountain before leaving Chang'an to learn Buddhist scriptures; or it is possible that Master's previous life, Jin Chanzi, had met Miss Bai before."
"It's strange to say." The Great Sage also said one more thing to Xiao Bailong: "When I saw her for the first time just now, I always felt that I had seen her somewhere. Huh?"
As he said this, the Great Sage suddenly let out a light sigh, stared at Xiao Bailong for a long time, and then suddenly realized.
I see!
It turns out to be you!
Only then did the Great Sage understand that he felt inexplicably familiar when he saw Bai Suzhen, but he was also very sure about the strange illusion that he and Bai Suzhen were meeting for the first time.
The little white dragon on the way westward always turned into a white snake to explore the road.
The first time he saw Bai Suzhen, he saw her true form with his fiery eyes. What he felt familiar was not her human appearance, but her white snake true form.
It's interesting to say that her true form of the white snake is quite similar to the white snake that little white dragon transformed into.
The Great Sage also told Xiao Bailong about this matter, and Xiao Bailong gave this response: "Oh, the shape of the white snake I changed into was when I followed my father to visit Qingcheng Mountain when I was young. , a white snake I had seen. At that time, the white snake was going through the heavenly tribulation of becoming an immortal, but it was a pity that it failed in the end and died under the heavenly tribulation."
The Great Sage himself is an expert in the "Way of Change", so he naturally knows how difficult it is to simulate change and change out of thin air.
The little white dragon transformed based on the white snake he had seen in the past. Besides, it is easier for a white dragon to transform into a white snake.
"Perhaps, the white snake you saw back then was probably Bai Suzhen's father or mother." After hearing this, the Great Sage came to such a conclusion.
The secret communication between the two of them had just ended, and the master's process on the altar before starting the ceremony had also gone through a lot.
"The Consciousness Wei Sect is established!"
After hearing the master's words, the little white dragon immediately turned into a divine dragon and rose——
Bang!
Then there was a thunderous sound, and the little white dragon bit the flower cluster on the red cloth covering the plaque with the words "Consciousness Only Sect" engraved on it, and flew into the clouds with the red silk in his mouth.
Wu Jing used the directions of the nine palaces to create nine spirits and recited the scripture. The great sage pulled out a handful of vellus hair and blew a breath. Suddenly, golden lotuses surged all over the place, and Bodhisattva took root. The remaining brothers also had their own tasks to change the atmosphere of the scene. promote.
This time, the monks knelt down to worship first.
Whether they are local monks from the Tang Dynasty or ordinary monks from the Western Continent, there are no exceptions.
Even the Arhats and monks from Lingshan looked pious and solemn.
