A simple sutra, but one that incorporates the essence of the "Buddhist Dharma" of the Baoxiang Kingdom for two hundred years. In fact, it did not cause any ripples in Lingshan. Most monks knew the standard of this sutra as soon as they heard it. It was commonplace, but it was written by a mortal monk. It might have merits, but they still took it to heart.
After reciting the Eight Precepts, without waiting for the Bodhisattva to ask, he patted his butt and sat down on the futon. He laughed to himself: Hey, old pig, I am a cook, what kind of Buddhist teachings do I know?
The Bodhisattva seemed to have really forgotten to ask him and just ignored him. The monks in Lingshan obviously didn't have much expectations for Bajie, and everyone knew very well that the highlight was Sun Wukong.
"Amitabha."
When the Great Sage saw that the Bodhisattva's eyes finally fell on him, he stood up and recited the Buddha's name, and then said: "Bodhisattva, I wonder how the Bodhisattva will test my grandson?"
The Great Sage also asked questions knowingly. How could he not know what the Bodhisattva had in mind if he was as smart as he was?
Moreover, reciting a sutra on the Lingshan Mountain was one of the purposes of this trip, but now it was successfully suppressed to the end, otherwise this grand gathering would have ended long ago.
Even seeing those Arhats and Bodhisattvas who left Lingshan early or were punished to reincarnation in the underworld, the Great Sage still felt a little pity.
Guanyin Bodhisattva smiled and said: "With your understanding, Wukong, even the immortal Buddhas of the three realms are rarely able to match it. If I just ask you about your understanding of Buddhism, it will be easy for you."
Everyone agrees with this.
In terms of understanding alone, there are indeed only a few people in the Three Realms who can rival him, and there are even fewer who can surpass the Great Sage.
The Bodhisattva is right. If we only use questions and answers to test the Dharma cultivation of the great sage, it would be too perfunctory.
The monks were also thinking secretly about how they should let the Great Sage show the Dharma. But the Great Sun Tathagata twitched the corner of his mouth a few times and said in his heart: Stop torturing him, just let him recite it!
Guanyin Bodhisattva may be a fun-loving person, but she is also a show-off person. She is not good at doing things without a name. She always wants to find a legitimate name. Therefore, she turned to the Buddha and asked for instructions: "Buddha, why don't we just let Wukong do it?" Let’s give a lecture in this Mahavira Hall.”
Naturally, the Buddha would not refuse, and went along with the flow and said: "Good, since it is the invitation of the Bodhisattva, Wukong"
The Great Sage only looked towards the Buddha, but did not seem to show the same respect as when facing the Bodhisattva. The Buddha was not surprised. After all, he had suppressed him under the Five Elements Mountain with a slap for more than five hundred years. Why shouldn't this monkey be a little angry?
When he saw that he was not holding the golden cudgel, he hit him directly. It was because he was already well-behaved as taught by Sanzang.
"Wukong, can you tell me?" Buddha asked the Great Sage with a smile, but in fact, he was already very prepared in his heart. He only used his "Heavenly Ear" for this "Great Sage's Thunder Sound". While searching for traces of their master and apprentice, I occasionally heard that they had seen each other face to face several times, and this was also the first time. Even though the Buddha was quite confident, he still did not dare to be careless.
The Great Sage stepped forward and said: "I, Old Sun, are as familiar with various scriptures as Junior Brother Sha. If I really talk about it, I probably won't be able to finish it in a short while. But I don't know if all of you here can listen to it? "
"Hahahaha——" The Great Sun Tathagata immediately cheered and laughed: "Just tell me what you said. There are hundreds of monks in this hall who have practiced Zen for a long time. Don't they have the patience to listen to you?"
Oh, yes, yes—
If he hadn't been unable to defeat him, Muzha would have really wanted to chop off the head of the Great Sun Tathagata with a pair of Wu Gou Swords.
However, I, Muzha, have long been preparing to quit Buddhism. Even if I leave halfway, it doesn't matter. As the leader of the Tantric Cult, you'd better have the patience to stay until the end.
However, the words of the Great Sun Tathagata still aroused the agreement of the monks.
There are even some Buddhists who think that the Great Sage has little experience in preaching and is a little nervous, so they want to lay the groundwork first. Therefore, they even offer some words of comfort to the Great Sage.
The Great Sage seemed to have become the central figure in the Main Hall at this moment. He showed no timidity at all, nor did he feel any compassion because of the kind words of several monks.
Then I saw the master on the side leading several junior disciples to join the ranks of monks. At this moment, he was indeed the only one left in the center of the hall.
The Great Sage thought for a while, carried the futon all the way to the entrance of the hall, put the futon down, and then sat on the futon.
The Bodhisattva smiled and asked, "Why did you get there?"
The Great Sage clasped his hands together and responded: "Disciples must always face you when teaching scriptures. If you are in the main hall and only show your back to others, it seems a bit inappropriate."
That makes sense.
Muzha, who was quite close to the palace gate, was already looking at the hole on the top. But when he looked up, he suddenly discovered that the acquired human seed bag was still hanging on it, whether it was Maitreya or Buddha. Great Sage, no one is going to put it away!
What a crime!
Knowing that he could not escape this disaster, Muzha reluctantly accepted his fate.
Seeing that the monks were ready, the great sage said: "Let's teach the Mahaprajna Sutra first."
After hearing this, the monks in the hall immediately became interested. The Mahaprajna Sutra was one of the previous thirty-five Mahayana sutras, and these thirty-five Mahayana sutras were taken away by Sanzang only eight days ago. Are you able to preach on the Bible already?
In fact, they were just stunned for a short time, and then they didn't feel strange when they figured it out. After all, Wu Jing had already shown them the breadth of his Dharma before, which naturally included these thirty-five sutras.
There is a difference between being able to understand the scriptures on your own and being able to preach the scriptures in public.
It can be seen from this that the talent of this Monkey King is truly extraordinary and he really has the confidence to do so.
But what they didn’t know was that Fahai had already taught the Mahaprajna Sutra to several of his disciples long before their masters and disciples went to Lingshan Mountain. And what he taught was not another version, but the Tripitaka Sutra. ” Translated scripture.
In fact, it was not just the Mahaprajna Sutra, but all the scriptures he had studied were not hidden. After teaching one section, he would teach the next one. On this journey to the west, he had traveled ten thousand miles and ten thousand miles. How can the monks in Lingshan know the scriptures they learned from the four Hanshu Great Sages?
Even the lazy Bajie is definitely not weak in his understanding of Buddhism. Shicai was just deliberately hiding his clumsiness.
Just as the Great Sage was about to speak, he suddenly felt that something was wrong, so he asked the Buddha for instructions again, and asked: "Buddha, can the monks outside the temple and outside the temple hear my grandson's sermon?" "
The Buddha waved his hand, and a ray of Buddha's light passed by, and he saw the shadow of a great sage appearing on the top of Lingshan Mountain. "Everyone can hear it from up and down Lingshan Mountain, but there is no harm in speaking."
"The Mahaprajna Sutra is the splendid song of the ancient times and the joy of the vast tribulation."
The great sage spoke just three sentences, which immediately attracted people's attention.
It was just that the Tathagata Mahavairocana and Muzha realized that nothing unusual had happened to them after listening to the Great Sage's sermon. They were a little stunned for a moment and thought to themselves: Why is everything okay?
Since the Great Sage has begun to speak, he naturally has his own rhythm. A lecture is a lecture, and the "Great Sage's thunder sound" is the "Great Sage's thunder sound". Moreover, what he is speaking at this moment is the preface to the first meeting of the Mahaprajna Sutra written in Chinese. Nor is it a scripture.
Not to mention the Great Sun Tathagata, even the Tathagata Buddha and Guanyin Bodhisattva were eluded.
Only Bajie said in his heart: Is it true that some people think that my Brother Monkey is upright and doesn’t know how to use tricks?
"The light is revealed by humans and heaven, encompassing the true customs. Sincerity enters the mysterious house of God. The husband and the five aggregates are the seals of sentient beings, and the two of us are the seals of the house that is comparable to the existence of Sinan. Together with Gongbei, we know our return. The meaning is heaven-free, and the words The sea is still overflowing, and it is the root of all branches. They have great minds and powerful weapons. After hearing and practicing for a long time, they will not be surprised or frightened. Love and advice, love and salvation!"
The Great Sage finished a preface eloquently, and then a smile appeared on his lips. Naturally, he first recited the original text of the sutra. "Shicai Zhixu" is in Chinese. When we want to recite the serious sutra this time, we naturally have to use Sanskrit. And if the "Great Sage Thunder Sound" is to be effective, it must be recited in Sanskrit——
The Great Sage saw that the hall was quite large and the Lingshan Mountain was very majestic. He was afraid that the monks outside the hall would not be able to hear it, so he activated the Dragon Clan's magical power - the Eight Sounds of Dragon Yin - in advance.
"That's what I heard! For a moment——"
"ah--"
"Well--"
"Well--"
After reciting only six words, he was caught off guard, and countless monks fell into the trap up and down the entire Lingshan Mountain. Suddenly, embarrassed monks could be seen everywhere, leaving the entire Lingshan Mountain in a mess.
The scene was a bit chaotic for a while, and the Great Sage had to stop temporarily.
Not to mention the ordinary monks outside Daleiyin Temple, even the Arhats, Bodhisattvas and Buddhas in the Great Hall are not in a good mood!
The Tathagata Buddha's face was solemn, and he did not seem to be affected; Maitreya Buddha's smile did not change, but if you look closely, it seemed that his smile was a little stiff; the ancient Buddha of Ran Deng had a bitter look on his face, but now his face It’s even uglier
The Medicine Buddha is arranging his cassock; the Buddha has folded his hands and has calmed down, but his eyes are constantly looking at the Bodhisattva and the Buddha. His expression is the most wonderful, his fists are clenched, as if to say: This is it. taste!
The Peacock Daming King Bodhisattva on the side was rubbing his head, and at the same time, he slowly transferred his magic power to the Little Peng in his hand. After seeing the Little Peng revived, he said word by word to the Great Sun Tathagata beside him: "That's it. !”
This will make him understand that the reason for all the previous visions of the Great Sun Tathagata was originally because of this "monkey chanting sutra"!
When King Peacock Ming saw that Youpeng was just a little sluggish and nothing serious, he waved the five-color divine light behind him and put it away first to watch the scene. He couldn't leave for a while, but he still wanted to protect Youpeng. Nothing serious.
What does lingering fear mean?
Some monks saw that the Great Sage was about to speak again, so they subconsciously blocked their ears.
"quiet!"
The Buddha looked so embarrassed when he saw all the monks in Lingshan staggering around and could not even finish a complete sutra. It would be a lie to say that he didn't care.
But one of the initiators of this matter was himself, and it was actually expected that the monks in Lingshan would be in such a situation.
It's just that I was unprepared. It's understandable that I listened to the Great Sage's chanting for the first time without being on guard. But if I was guarded this time and it still didn't work, then it's a problem of weak will.
"Listen to Wukong's lecture."
A'nuo and Kaye outside the hall just got up and sat on the futon and heard the Buddha's words. The two looked at each other and took a look into the hall with a tacit understanding. They saw that the monks in the hall had regrouped. Naturally, they did not dare to neglect. Originally, they had their backs to the main hall, but now they quickly turned around.
But the Great Sage stood up directly, transformed into a clone, stepped out of the main hall, climbed to the top of the Lingshan Mountain, dispersed the shadow of the Buddha who had just used his magical power to take a picture here, and then sat cross-legged here and said: "Ten After the break, I, Old Sun, will continue to lecture, and I would like to ask you to calm down and don’t slack off.”
Can you leave?
Some old monks felt very guilty. Who was taking the exam?
Only a few monks have reacted. This time it is clearly the Buddha and Bodhisattva who join forces with the Monkey King to test the monks in Lingshan Mountain.
It is possible to walk.
But you can never be the first to go, let alone go by yourself.
Bajie didn't know what others were thinking. But after seeing his senior brother transform into a clone and reach the top of Lingshan Mountain, Bajie knew that his senior brother was challenging his limits again.
The monks in Lingshan now only know the power of the "Great Sage Thunder Sound" after hearing it, but how can they know that even the senior brother who uses the "Great Sage Thunder Sound" will actually have to endure torture?
At this moment, Di Ting, who was far away in the underworld, looked languid. Even though he had heard it many times, he was still attacked again and again and had no power to resist. The six-eared macaque at the mouth of the Guanjiang River was even more pale, and he quickly restrained his magical powers. Six ears, withstand six times the damage. Who knows?
Ten breaths passed quickly.
The Great Sage did not make any further preparations for their psychological development, and immediately chanted: "This is what I heard! At that time, Bhagavan was living on the top of the Vulture Peak in the city of Rajagaha, together with a large crowd of 1,250 people, all Arahants. All outflows have been eliminated, troubles are gone, true freedom, mind, good liberation, wisdom and good liberation have been achieved——"
The original Mahaprajna Sutra taught by Master consisted of six hundred volumes.
The original version of the "Maharaprajna Sutra" previously taken from the Great Leiyin Temple is a total of 916 volumes. The scriptures recited by the Great Saint this time are exactly the 916 volumes of the "Maharaprajna Sutra". 》.
I just finished reading the first paragraph of the first volume.
All the monks outside Daleiyin Temple had been "annihilated". None of them was spared. Those who could practice in Daleiyin Temple seemed to be able to hold on, and only a few who were weak-minded fainted.
A Bodhisattva or Buddha had already used Buddha's light to protect these monks who fell to the ground to prevent their souls from being hurt by the thunder of the great sage while they were unconscious.
The people closest to the Great Sage are actually none other than Anuo and Gaye.
At this moment, they were sitting on the futon, and they couldn't sit still at all. What the Great Sage read out was clearly a scripture, but they didn't know why. When they heard it in their ears, it felt like someone was using a hammer when it entered the sea of consciousness. drive nails into their heads
It's like countless ants are crawling on his body, and some of them even burrow into his internal organs along his seven orifices. Nowhere in his body feels comfortable.
Well--
After the great sage finished reciting the first volume of the Mahaprajna Sutra,
With a muffled groan, Ah Nuo finally couldn't hold on anymore and fell to the ground face down. Before losing consciousness, he had only one thought in his mind: "This is all retribution——"
