"It was a great regret in my life that I could not meet the Master earlier. Now that I have refined my mind through the flames of Buddha, I have enlightened my mind, but I have no regrets. It is really my own fault. It is said that if you hear the Tao in the morning, you will die in the evening - if there is a fate, Master will do it." When I meet my master, I also ask the master to tell me that he is an unfilial disciple and has lived a life of ignorance and has failed to teach me the master." After saying this, the master's true spirit seemed to have dispersed.
But the little elephant could see clearly that it was a real spirit of his father. Inspired by the virtual form of the spiritual image, the two gradually merged and became one, and then the virtual form of the spiritual image escaped into his father's body. In the true form of White Elephant.
At the same time, the baby elephant seemed to hear his father's voice in the void: "Although I am dead, my path is not over yet." It was also accompanied by his father's heroic laughter when he heard the message.
Taoism. Only then did the little elephant understand why both Jinguangxian and Samantabhadra said that his father had passed away in Taoism.
boom--! Under the shock of the soul, the little elephant withdrew from this land of spiritual consciousness, and the clear light fell back to the White Elephant Spirit Platform.
"Amitabha." Samantabhadra Bodhisattva said to the little elephant: "Your father gave birth to you here out of wedlock. For the first two hundred years, you received the incense of the people and transformed into monsters... Then you worshiped under the Tripitaka Gate and entered the right path. Only ten years ago After years of work, the elephant spirit was born... and because of this, your father had the karmic opportunity he has now during the calamity of death." The little elephant knew what the Bodhisattva's words meant.
His father was a demon in the lower world and sacrificed his life to save his brothers. He wanted to kill his master and used Tang Monk meat to cure the madness of the Qiu Shou Immortal.
Regardless of whether he has it or not, this matter cannot be avoided, and the result is doomed...the father who is determined to die will eventually be saved by the master.
And now, because I have never done any evil in the Baoxiang Kingdom, I can worship my master, and I have left behind the golden body of the Elephant Buddha that my father left... Now that I have transformed into a spirit, I will be able to worship my master in the future. With the power of incense, it is natural to worship his father.
Perhaps his father did not appear in Baoxiang Kingdom, but he always tried his best to protect the people. Therefore, under the devout incense of believers, an elephant spirit was born in the Buddha statue. When his father's true spirit was about to dissipate, he escaped from the golden body and went straight to Shituoling, merged with part of his father's true spirit, and reincarnated into the body. Among them, he was able to regain his life.
Is the father considered dead? The little elephant himself was not confused, but all the previous doubts in the little elephant's mind had completely dissipated.
"Thank you Bodhisattva for clarifying my doubts." The little elephant bowed deeply to the Bodhisattva. Samantabhadra Bodhisattva put his hands together and returned the bow, then he rode on the white elephant, stepped on the clouds, and went straight to Beizhou.
After the little elephant watched him off for a while, he returned to the meditation room. There was writing on the envelope——
"My son sends this letter personally." The little elephant opened the letter left by his father——
"Seeing the words is like meeting each other: We have been separated for more than two hundred years, and my father is very unkind. He heard that my son worshiped Tripitaka as his teacher. My father was very happy, but also frightened. When my son saw the letter, he thought that his father had passed away or that Tripitaka had saved him. This It is your own fault, and my son must not bear any grudge over this... I will keep this letter with you in the hope that my son will see it." The little elephant read the letter and put it away silently.
The letter was written in advance by my father, and the letter was written very clearly. Because the master's reputation was growing, my father knew that he would not be able to escape this disaster in Shituoling, so he wrote the letter in advance and put it on his body.
Perhaps according to his father's expectation, this letter would fall into the master's hands and be handed over to him when the master comes.
Unexpectedly, after the elephant spirit entered the body, the white elephant went to find Samantabhadra Bodhisattva on his own. However, after going round and round, his father's last words fell into the hands of the little elephant.
As for whether what he had seen with his spiritual sense and the letter in his hand were forgeries, Xiao Xiang never doubted this. Firstly, I trust the character of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and secondly...how can I be so virtuous and capable?
Not at all. A few days ago, news came from the Tang Dynasty that the master had taken the scripture back to Chang'an, but the master only stayed in Chang'an for eight days before returning to Lingshan.
As for what to do when I go back... I don't know for sure. It was also said that the Master had finished studying the scriptures and had benefited the three realms with immeasurable merits. The Buddha would confer the title of Master; some also said that the Master would ask the Buddhas in Lingshan for Buddhist scriptures... There were also some even more far-fetched rumors, which Little Elephant did not take to heart.
In comparison, the above two are more credible. Originally, I planned to ask Samantabhadra Bodhisattva for advice, but Samantabhadra walked quickly. Before the little elephant had time to ask, the Bodhisattva's back was no longer visible.
...since Samantabhadra. The Tathagata Mahavairocana seemed to have grasped the trick, and debated the Sutra with Tripitaka on the topic of the Heart Sutra that had been given to Tripitaka that year.
Rather than saying it was a debate on the Sutra, it would be better to say that the two of them confirmed each other with their understanding of the Heart Sutra. The scene was relatively harmonious. After all, the Tathagata Mahavairocana and Tripitaka still had some friendship, and there was no need to get into a tense situation... The two men debated scriptures, which also benefited the monks present a lot.
Even after the two of them finished, even the monks, including the Buddha, still had some unfinished ideas.
The Heart Sutra, which is only 260 words long, can be said to be concise and meaningful, but with few words and profound meaning. However, both Tripitaka and Mahavairocana can draw their own different insights from it, which makes people suddenly enlightened.

"Color is not different from emptiness, emptiness is not different from color, color is emptiness, and emptiness is color."
"All dharmas are empty, neither born nor destroyed, neither stained nor pure, neither increasing nor decreasing." Just these ten numbers can spread infinitely outwards, attracting many side discussions, which is intoxicating.
The Peacock King of Ming Dynasty was delighted to see the hunter and came in halfway. Based on his own famous volume, "The Great Peacock Sutra", he also added it to the discussion of Dharma. Because he was invited by the Great Sun Tathagata to join the Tantric Sect and became the leader of the Dharma Protector of the Tantric Sect, so... in just a few words, he summarized the sutra. The content of the debate is introduced into the Tantric religious law.
In fact, Tantric teachings have never been taken seriously in Lingshan... A very important point is that if the Buddhist teachings are not advanced enough and practice without authorization, they will easily fall into heretics, which will lead to endless disasters.
Therefore, some monks who don't know why are afraid of Tantra, and even say that it is an evil heretic, not the right path, and it is difficult to achieve positive results.
Therefore, even among the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas sitting in the Mahavira Hall at this moment, there are very few who practice Tantra.
Tantric Buddhism is actually very difficult to argue with this, because there are indeed some evil heretics who are cheating in the name of Tantric Buddhism. In addition, the leader of Tantric Buddhism, the Great Sun Tathagata, has been locked in the Buddha Mountain for thousands of years... Such a situation is actually reasonable. .
However, those with advanced levels of cultivation, such as Buddha, Guanyin Bodhisattva, and Peacock Daming King, are not limited to one sect. They can be said to be proficient in almost everything... Therefore, when the content of sutra debate is transformed into Tantric Buddhism, in addition to Except for a few of them, most of them were monks... who could only hear a little bit.
Even some words clearly mean the same thing when spoken from their mouths, but when heard in their ears, they feel completely different.
Not long after - strange phenomena appeared behind the three people. A golden sun rose behind the head of the Great Sun Tathagata, dazzling and igniting the golden crow of the Buddha's flames; the five-color divine light behind the Peacock Great Ming King Bodhisattva made all the monks present feel tense, fearing that the light would wash off their body and destroy them. Brush away; and behind Sanzang, it is like a vast sea, surging and boundless... There are thunderous roars again, as if reciting the Tripitaka sutra, but when you listen carefully, there is something different.
The Buddha listened for a moment and said in his heart: Tripitaka has seen the way. This should be the true sutra written by Tripitaka in the wordless sutra based on his own insights into Buddhism.
A few moments. The three eminent monks collected their magical powers, and the vision above the Mahavira Hall disappeared. The Great Sun Tathagata clasped his hands together and said to Tripitaka: "The profoundness of Tripitaka's Dharma is not inferior to that of a poor monk... I wonder if Tripitaka would be willing to come to our Tantric Sect and take up the position of a Dharma Protector?" It must be said that Tripitaka is a talented person, and he is indeed worthy of his respect. Heartbeat.
So much so that the Great Sun Tathagata couldn't help but wave the hoe in front of the Buddha. Of course, the Buddha had no worries about this. After all, with Tripitaka's temperament...
"Thank you very much, Buddha, but I still allow this young monk to refuse." The Great Sun Tathagata was not surprised by this expected answer. He just sighed softly and said: "People in the world have many misunderstandings about my esoteric religion... not to mention my esoteric religion." Nowadays, the good and the bad are mixed, and the poor monks intend to innovate, and then bring the tantric teachings back to the right path, and then spread them to the three realms... However, the disciples in the teaching are not useful, and there is no one to teach the scriptures... After searching for many days, there is only Tripitaka. One person is the most suitable...it's a pity...it's a pity...that's all, everyone has his own ambitions. Since Tripitaka doesn't want to, how can a poor monk force it?"
"Just pretend that the poor monk never mentioned it and let it go." Oops! As soon as these words came out, Buddha suddenly felt something was wrong.
As we all know, people like Sanzang, Yang Jian, Wukong and Nezha, who are unruly by nature, have always been soft-hearted rather than tough.
Yang Jian is now under the control of the Jade Emperor, and Wukong is even more convinced of Sanzang... After Nezha borrowed the pagoda from his father, the previous estrangement has completely dissipated... I should have conquered Sanzang and returned to my heart, but why did I say that? Are you taking a step in?
as expected. Fahai really took this trick, and after thinking for a moment, he said to the Great Sun Tathagata: "Buddha clearly shows that this young monk is not greedy for the position of King Ming. I also ask the Buddha to allow this young monk to spread the secret teachings of Buddhism in the three realms."
"How can that be done?" Great Sun Tathagata waved his hand and said,
"The poor monk does not want you to specialize in Tantric Buddhism. Besides, we are all Buddhists. We are one family. Some differences in sects should have been abandoned long ago, but the reality is like this..."
"Amitabha." Fahai had no choice but to recite the Buddha's name, because the Tathagata Mahavairocana's words made sense. Buddhism was originally one family, but there were many internal factions.
Not to mention the dispute between Mahayana and Hinayana, there are constant disputes between various sects, and they fight openly and covertly. A few years ago, the Dingguang Huanxi Buddha was captured by Jin Guangxian. This Huanxi Zen sect still has many followers in Buddhism... After all, there are not a few sanctimonious people who can justifiably engage in lewd things. For the world, ...it's hard to say it's not a very big temptation.
No matter how great the Sun Tathagata is, he will never treat Tripitaka badly. If we say that when we first met him, he taught the Heart Sutra and Tantric Dharma to give the Buddha eye drops, and even gave Tripitaka a ray of his own Golden Crow Fire. Let him perfect the Great Sun Buddha Flame...but all the things that happened in the future made him appreciate Tripitaka even more.
It was only now, after debating sutras and Dharma in the Lingshan Mahavira Hall, that I realized that the other party's Buddhist cultivation was so profound that it was rare in the three realms.
It's too late to regard him as a junior. No wonder Buddha wanted to choose Sanzang as the Lord of Lingshan... Leave it to me, and I will choose him as his successor.
It is well deserved. Thinking of this, the Great Sun Tathagata said to Tripitaka: "The poor monk would like to invite you to be the Dharma King of the Esoteric Sect, and to honor Tripitaka as the Huiming King of the Sea... I wonder what Tripitaka wants?"
"The young monk has the audacity to express his gratitude. He should encourage himself to forge ahead and spread the secret teachings in the three realms."
"There's one more thing." The Great Sun Tathagata was overjoyed when he saw Tripitaka's promise, and then said: "There are many people in the three realms who use our tantra to cause chaos. These people who mess with the Buddha... Tripitaka does not need to show mercy. The poor monk said The master of the Tantric Sect has ordered that you use the flames of the Great Sun Buddha to refine your original mind...and everyone in the Tantric Sect is under your supervision." Hiss - The great generosity of the Great Sun Tathagata still shocked the hearts of all the monks present.
The Peacock Daming King on the side also joked to him: "That is to say, Tripitaka, if it were anyone else who could win over you like this, the poor monk would definitely not accept it." Back then, the Great Sun Tathagata invited the Peacock Daming King to join the Tantric Sect, and he just asked: "Come or not?" Peacock King Ming replied: "Come." Simple and rude.
Just then he invited Master Tripitaka to be the guest Dharma King of Tantric Buddhism. The Great Sun Tathagata became greedy, so he looked at Tripitaka's disciples...but he suddenly felt like rays of light piercing his back, and he knew it was the gaze of the Buddha even without looking. ...and then gave up.
This time he was able to invite Tripitaka into the Vajra. Even though he was just a guest, the Great Sun Tathagata was already satisfied... and there was no need for another setback for a few of his disciples.
What's more... with the attitude of these disciples obeying their master's words, there is no need to do anything more.
Now that the matter is done, I know that there will be another one in a while
The Great Sun Tathagata of the "Calamity Tribulation" also wanted to imitate Mahakasyapa and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva... Just when he was about to say goodbye to the Buddha, he saw the Buddha wave his hand... The Great Leiyin Temple The door actually closed slowly.
But again and again, how can it be repeated again and again? Just stay here and don't let anyone run away. The insiders have begun to secretly complain, while the ignorant... still don't know what this means.
The Tathagata's complexion suddenly changed slightly, but he quickly calmed down, and even looked at each other with the Buddha, as if to say: If you don't want to go, you won't go. Who can hold on longer?
Buddha naturally showed no sign of weakness. These two have been enemies for many years, and now the Great Sun Tathagata has done this again in front of the Buddha... How could the Buddha not teach him a lesson?
The underworld. Di Ting held her stomach and rolled on the ground. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, who came back from meeting Emperor Fengdu, was a little curious when he saw this. When he was about to ask, his smile froze when he heard that, and then he had a sad face...
"What's going on?"
"Bodhisattva..." Di Ting murmured as if she had no love for her life.
"Buddha just gave his disciples a decree, saying that when the great sage recited sutras, he asked his disciples to listen from beginning to end..." After hearing this, even Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva was stunned for a moment, and then quickly turned around Go away.
