It seems that the birth of Jin Peng has also brought some different vitality to the Main Hall.
But Guanyin Bodhisattva, for some reason, always felt that he had overlooked something, and there was some inexplicable throbbing in his heart that should not have been there. The last time such a feeling occurred was when Tripitaka used the Great Sun Buddha's flame to transcend the canopy.
While the Bodhisattva was puzzled, and because her eyes shifted from Jin Peng to Sanzang's master and disciple, she suddenly saw Wukong clasping his hands together with a pious look on his face. Bad!
If this monkey were allowed to recite sutras for a while, wouldn't this little Jinpeng suffer an unreasonable disaster?
Unexpectedly, something would go wrong in this matter.
The Bodhisattva has personally experienced the power of the great sage's thunder sound. Ling Xuzi is still struggling with his brain. If Jin Peng is empowered by the thunder sound, I am afraid that the Peacock King Ming will never let it go.
The Bodhisattva secretly thought that he would have to find an opportunity to take Little Jin Peng out soon to prevent him from suffering any disaster.
Little Jinpeng naturally didn't know what he was about to face when he was just born, but at this moment he was obviously used to the palm of his eldest sister (eldest brother). He had already put down his guard and found a comfortable position to lie down. After all, this is the Mahavira Palace, a Buddhist gate. In the Holy Land, under the illumination of Buddha's light, Xiao Jinpeng was very comfortable and had gradually let down his guard.
After this episode passed, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva clarified the reason to Sanzang: "Trizang, this poor monk heard that you were in Baoxiang Kingdom, and you accepted the son of the Spirit Tooth Fairy into your sect, and brought him into my Buddhist sect, but you Then he transferred his father to the Shituoling Mountains. I wonder if Sanzang thinks there are any hidden dangers in this matter?"
The question asked by Samantabhadra is obviously very tricky. If Tripitaka is a "serious" monk, the answer to this matter will naturally be very simple. It is nothing more than that the four elements of monks are empty. Although the spiritual tooth elephant Buddha and the little elephant are actually father and son, even if the spiritual tooth The elephant Buddha rebelled from Buddhism, but the little elephant was tonsured and escaped into Buddhism, free from the chaos of the world.
But he was Tang Sanzang, or Tang Sanzang who personally avenged the murder of his father. If he said it like this, it would obviously be inappropriate.
But in fact, Fahai was not too worried about this issue. Since he dared to save the Spirit Tooth Fairy back then, he was not afraid that the little elephant would cause any trouble after he found out.
Moreover, Samantabhadra’s question is also very interesting.
He didn't ask Sanzang if he was afraid of trouble, he only asked Sanzang if he had any hidden dangers.
"Amitabha." Fahai recited the Buddha's name as usual, and then replied: "The Bodhisattva's name is great practice. You should only say what you say and do what you do. The poor monk has made great wishes, cut off karma and protect lives, and he should not care about human feelings. Previous There are Tianpeng, Kuimulang, Huangfeng, Red Boy, etc., and later there is Inspiration King, Yellow Eyebrow Boy. As for the cause and effect of all sins, they have long returned to oneself. Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva said: If I don’t go to hell, who will go to hell? ?”
"How dare you, little monk, my body is in hell, and I can bear thousands of sins and karma in the three realms. Even if I die and sink forever, and cannot be reincarnated, I will have no regrets or regrets."
There are of course hidden dangers.
Any mistakes must be corrected, those responsible must be held accountable, and those guilty must be punished.
No one in Lingshan dared to ignore Sanzang's determination, and no one dared to deny it. But at this moment, when I really heard the words from his mouth, I couldn't help being shocked.
Especially Guanyin Bodhisattva, who has always been close to Tripitaka, after hearing this, he could only sigh with emotion: He is indeed Tripitaka!
Sanzang and himself seemed to be at two extremes.
Bodhisattvas also have angry eyes, but they are still compassionate in the end. Sanzang is the opposite. He only has a kind heart towards good people and hates evil as much as ever.
But he acted convincingly because his demands on himself would only become more stringent.
If Tripitaka had not violated the precept of killing by killing karma and protecting living beings, the Bodhisattva even believed that he could have taken charge of the Vinaya.
Of course, Tripitaka has repeatedly stated that he is unwilling to become a Buddha. I am afraid that even the Lord of Lingshan cannot change his mind, let alone the leader of the Vinaya Sect.
However, the Bodhisattva had a plan he didn't say in his heart. If Sanzang was allowed to take over the Lingshan Discipline Academy, he would probably have to struggle a lot.
After listening to Tripitaka's words, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva clasped his hands and said to the Buddha above him: "My Buddha is merciful. The poor monk's affairs in Beizhou have not yet been completed, so I will leave first."
After Samantabhadra Bodhisattva finished speaking, he stepped out of the door directly without waiting for the Buddha's consent. Then they heard the sound of an elephant roaring, and everyone saw a white elephant coming through the air, carrying Bodhisattva Bodhisattva and walking towards the east.
Puxian Bodhisattva is a practical person. If Tripitaka had not come to Lingshan this time, he would not have planned to come back at all.
Anyway, he is not very familiar with the Buddhas in Lingshan. Whether he is a fellow Taoist from the Western religion or the three thousand mortal guests who intercepted the religion and were transformed by the two Western leaders, he has never had any friendship.
His mission in Lingshan was to study Mahayana Buddhism and practice it in the human world. After all, Mahayana Buddhism is not something you can just think up and be done with, and he is a very important part of its practice and verification.
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva rides on an elephant and walks away.
The faces and expressions of the monks in the main hall are already a bit off. Why can't we let them stay in this huge Mahavira Hall for a while longer?
Everyone left early?
But when they went to look at the Buddha's expression, they saw that the Buddha remained motionless, seemingly not affected by the scene in front of them at all, and did not take these small things to heart at all.
Fahai also gradually realized the difference.
As far as the Buddha himself is concerned, it seems that he did not have high restrictions on the monks in Lingshan. This is probably one of the reasons why many monks in Lingshan violated the precepts before the establishment of the Lingshan Vinaya Institute.
Another one is the Buddha's attitude towards the two Bodhisattvas Guanyin and Samantabhadra. He did not regard the two Bodhisattvas as subordinates, but more like fellow travelers. Even if they fought to the death during the battle to confer gods.
I am afraid that the ancient Buddha Buddha and Maitreya Buddha, who are nominally tied with the Buddha, are far from being treated like this.
Maybe this is sympathy.
With the character of these two Bodhisattvas, who can not admire them not only in Buddhism but also in the three realms?
Thinking of this, Fahai believed that his practice was far from enough, and there was still a long way to go.
It is said that Samantabhadra Bodhisattva left Lingshan and rode a white elephant, but did not go north immediately, but appeared in the Baoxiang Kingdom.
Today's Baoxiang Kingdom is becoming more and more prosperous, especially after forming an alliance with the Tang Dynasty. The situation changes almost every day.
Coupled with the alliance between Baoxiang, Wuji and Chechi, the resources are pooled and circulated, and the national strength can be said to be advancing rapidly.
In Baoxiangguo Temple.
After the death of the old abbot, Xiaoxiang has officially become the abbot and elder of Baoxiangguo Temple. In fact, regardless of his status as a disciple of Tripitaka, he can definitely hold this position in Baoxiangguo Temple based on his own Buddhist realm.
He is no longer the ignorant little elephant who could say, "I don't even understand Buddhist scriptures, how can I understand Taoist scriptures?"
More than ten years of practice have earned him the title of eminent monk.
It's just that he himself thinks that he is not worthy of his name. After all, the person he is comparing to is his master, Tang Sanzang.
A few years ago, the golden body of the Elephant Buddha in the temple, which had not cut off the incense, suddenly gave birth to a spirit. I don’t know what inspired it. It hovered over the Baoxiang Kingdom for several weeks, attracting people from all over the country to pay homage. Turn into Buddha light and go away.
Once he left, he never came back.
The king of the country and the little elephant thought this was a sign of the country's misfortune at first. Otherwise, how could the elephant spirit abandon the temple and leave?
Later, a great immortal named Jinguangxian made a special trip to look for it and said: "The original form of this Spirit-tooth Elephant Buddha is the White Elephant Spirit-tooth Immortal who was riding under the command of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. On the one hand, after causing harm to the common people, he met Master Tripitaka and was inspired by Master Tripitaka. He clearly understood his sins and karma, and suddenly woke up, so he transformed into a Tao and left."
Both the king and the little elephant knew very well that the white elephant tooth fairy was the little elephant's father.
After the little elephant thanked Jin Guangxian for his message, he meditated for seven days in front of the Lingya Elephant Buddha statue.
After leaving the temple, I saw Wu Zhen and Enlightenment.
"Thank you two junior brothers for your concern." Before the two junior brothers could speak, Xiao Xiang knew what they were going to say. After all, their two fathers were also saved by their master. "It's okay for me to be a poor monk. I'm just a son of man , although he has become a monk, he cannot escape from the world of mortals. Now it is difficult to go to the Lion Camel Ridge, so he had to recite the transcendence sutra in front of this statue for seven days."
The master did not kill them all, nor did he treat the two junior brothers harshly because they were Kui Mulang's sons. Instead, he tried his best to teach the skills. The two junior brothers did not have any resentment or hatred towards the master.
When the little elephant first learned about this, he still didn't understand it, but he undoubtedly admired their open-mindedness.
Now I have experienced similar things, but I have found that some things do not seem to be truly sympathetic. If I say that I don't have a grudge in my heart, Xiaoxiang will think that I am too hypocritical.
But if you say that you hate your master because of this, it doesn't seem to be that far.
The little elephant knows very well what the master does.
Just like when he and his master first met, he did not take action to save Kui Mulang just because he was a "demon spirit". On the contrary, his master did not show mercy just because Kui Mulang came from a star in the sky.
In short, the little elephant was still entangled and confused for a moment. But he was not discouraged because the master taught that if you don't understand something clearly, you should put it down for the time being. There will always be a time when the clouds clear up and the fog clears. .
But if you keep things in mind, they eventually become obsessions. Some things that could have been resolved will eventually lead to a dead end. When you want to look back, you will find that there is no way out.
As for the Buddha: There is no end to the sea of suffering, but when you turn around, you will reach the shore.
Master seems not to agree with this sentence. What exactly is the sea of suffering?
Where is the shore I see when I look back?
Even the master can't quite understand this matter, so the little elephant will naturally not embarrass himself.
On this day, he was chanting sutras in the temple.
Suddenly I heard someone shouting outside the temple: "Samantabhadra Bodhisattva has appeared——"
Then, the little elephant felt a kind and familiar atmosphere, stepped out of the meditation room, and called Samantabhadra Bodhisattva to fall into the courtyard. Behind the Bodhisattva, a white elephant with spiritual teeth was following.
"Father?!"
The little elephant looked surprised and doubtful, and saw the Bodhisattva in front of him. He quickly paid his respects and said, "I have seen the Bodhisattva in my enlightenment."
"Amitabha." Samantabhadra Bodhisattva took out a book and a letter from his arms and sent it to the little elephant: "This is your father's relic. The book is his original practice method, and this letter, It should have been left by your father before he became a Taoist."
The little elephant stepped forward to take over his father's relics, but did not open it immediately. Instead, he performed a Buddhist salute to the Bodhisattva and said: "My father's illegitimate disciple is here, and I ask the Bodhisattva to forgive me."
"The poor monk knows this. Your father was originally a great Immortal of the Jie Jiao Cult. He was very advanced in Taoism and calculated that he was going to suffer a calamity two hundred years ago. In order to be able to cope with the calamity with peace of mind, he secretly descended to earth and gave birth to a son. This son is you. Then, in order to help you get rid of your demonic body, I used the name of the Spirit-tusked Elephant Buddha to help the ancestors of the Baoxiang Kingdom establish the country, and then sealed you in a golden body to enjoy the fireworks of the world and achieve righteousness." After saying this, Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, After a pause, he looked at the little elephant and said, "Do you know about this?"
"Reporting to Bodhisattva, apart from the fact that my father calculated the calamity and came down to earth to give birth to me in order to cope with the calamity with peace of mind, I know what happened next." After more than ten years of practice, the little elephant is no longer the reckless little demon he used to be. But he Still boldly asked the Bodhisattva, "I wonder, Bodhisattva, what kind of calamity is this?"
"Your master, Tang Sanzang, seeks scriptures from the West." Samantabhadra did not hide anything and directly told the little elephant, "In this calamity, all gods and Buddhas, demons and ghosts, your master and his entourage, and even many living beings on this journey are all here. Among them. And your father has a fellow Taoist named Qiu Shou Xian, who later became the mount of Manjushri Bodhisattva. Because his mind was not firm and his soul was disturbed, he was originally a person in calamity. Now he is infected with madness. Your father Knowing that he could not escape death, out of loyalty to all brothers, we entered the disaster together and became monsters in the lower realm of Shituoling."
"Did my father ever harm anyone when he was at Shituoling?"
Samantabhadra Bodhisattva did not expect that the little elephant would ask this question first, but he still answered patiently: "Although your father has never harmed anyone with his own hands, the 60,000 demons he protected have harmed people without any intention."
"Amitabha." The little elephant recited the Buddha's name and asked again: "The Bodhisattva said that my father is a Taoist. Wasn't he saved by my master?"
"If you listen to what the poor monk said, it is better for you to see it with your own eyes." Samantabhadra pointed at the white elephant behind him, and he saw a clear light blooming. He waved his hand and said, "Come closer."
The little elephant stepped forward as instructed.
Then the clear light merged into his spiritual platform——
Then, the little elephant saw that his father failed in the battle with the master and was captured by the master.
"I lost. If you want to kill or behead me, it's up to you."
"It's a done deal, even if it doesn't succeed, I have no regrets."
"The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in Lingshan need these demons to cause chaos in the world. Only in this way can living beings contribute incense."
"So there are only three great masters in the Three Realms."
"Although I have no regrets, I feel guilty about two things."
"First, the creatures who lost their lives in Shituoling, whether they were monsters or humans, if I could restrain them instead of letting them run wild, the scene might not be like this now."
"Secondly, my illegitimate son heard that he worshiped the Master. I just hope that he will not be separated from the Master because of this matter. He is still young after all. If anything happens because of my affairs, I also ask the Master to pay homage to me."
"A whole body of sinful karma is here. Since it fell into the hands of the Master, I don't want to survive. I dare to give the Buddha's flame to refine my heart, Amitabha!"
These are the words that his father said before entering the Buddha's flame. They are constantly circulating in Xiao Xiang's mind, especially those two embarrassing things. It turns out that his father is still thinking about him, and is even afraid that he will be separated from his master because of this.
The little elephant watched his father step into the Buddha's flame calmly, with no resistance on his face, but also a look of relief. He could probably understand his father's state of mind at that time.
The Little Elephant of the Great Sun Buddha Flame naturally knows what kind of magical power this is. Kuimulang, the father of the two junior brothers Wu Zhen and Wu Xing, was saved by the Buddha Flame. But why does the Bodhisattva say it is Taoism?
Could it be that.
After all, the little elephant knows that if he can withstand the heart-refining effect of the Great Sun Buddha's flame, he will get a pure soul.
But the little elephant, who knew the result, couldn't help but become nervous at this moment, secretly cheering for his father, hoping that his father could survive this disaster.
Karma keeps getting burned.
And the father's soul, under the Buddha's flame, became increasingly weak, crumbling, and almost dissipated.
The little elephant's heart couldn't help but be clenched in one place.
Seeing that my father's true spirit was about to disintegrate, I saw a Buddha's light, which seemed to come from the east——
