Ah Nuo and Gaye left and never came back.

Naturally, their little thoughts cannot be hidden from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and they think in their hearts: What two cunning people.

Just when a Buddha was about to go out to report, he saw Guanyin Bodhisattva standing up first, holding a willow branch in both hands, and with a smile on his lips, he said to Sanzang: "Sanzang, in your previous life, you were the second disciple of my Buddha Tathagata. Jin Chanzi, because you couldn't understand the meaning of the Buddha holding flowers and smiling, and you contradicted the Buddha in front of the monks in the main hall, you fled Lingshan without permission. After you were brought to justice, the Buddha judged you for not listening to the Dharma and for being contemptuous of the great teaching, so he demoted you. His true spirit was reincarnated in the Eastern Land."

Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva paused for a moment, smiled at Fahai and said, "Now that I have gone through ninety-nine and eighty-one difficulties, I have finally obtained the true sutra. I am very happy and congratulated as I have achieved enlightenment."

Fahai put his hands together and recited: "Amitabha."

"I've heard that you just left the realm of the Tang Dynasty, and your true spirit revived, but I don't know whether you are Jin Chanzi or Tang Sanzang?"

After listening to the Bodhisattva's question, the monks in the main hall realized that the Bodhisattva had already started debating scriptures with Master Tripitaka.

It's just that Master Guanyin, you are a well-known and highly virtuous person in our sect. How can you be so effective and ineffective?

Ask him some more tricky questions!

This question is so simple that it's a bit perfunctory.

Sure enough, the rumors were true. Master Guanyin was always very kind to Sanzang. They actually missed Manjushri Bodhisattva who was sent to reincarnation for a moment.

If Manjushri Bodhisattva is in the main hall at this moment, I think there must be a good show to watch.

What the monks had in mind was another matter, and even so, they wanted to hear how Tripitaka responded.

"Jin Chanzi is me, Xuanzang is me, and Tang Sanzang who learned the scriptures is me." Of course, Fahai also said something in his heart: "Fahai is also me, I am me."

Such philosophical questions as "Who am I?" are almost unchallenging to Fahai. If he hadn't even thought about this question clearly now, he wouldn't be able to reach Lingshan Mountain.

If he puts it more explicitly, he even has one sentence to say: I am the one who has become a Buddha, I am the one who has become a demon, and I am also an ordinary monk in the three realms.

"Since it's all you." The question asked by Guanyin Bodhisattva was obviously not that simple. Otherwise, it would not only be responsible for this sutra debate, but also disrespect for Master Tripitaka. Therefore, she had another question: "So now you Do you understand the Buddha’s meaning of ‘holding a flower and smiling’?”

The monks were immediately shocked!

Bodhisattva is worthy of being a Bodhisattva!

It turns out that we wrongly blamed you.

In fact, many monks present had some predictions. After all, Bodhisattva mentioned this matter in the preface.

But if we really talk about the meaning of the Buddha's "holding flowers and smiling", the monks are one of the top two. Not to mention Jin Chanzi wants to understand, there are many monks present at the time. They don't understand either.

He didn't even dare to look at Buddha.

Only Mahakasyapa and the Buddha looked at each other, and then smiled knowingly.

Then the Buddha said that Mahakasyapa was enlightened.

Jin Chanzi was not convinced.

Why do you think he is enlightened?

Let him tell me one, two, three.

But Mahakasyapa just smiled and said nothing.

Jin Chanzi said that he was pretending to understand and was reprimanded by the Buddha for disturbing the Buddhist hall. Jin Chanzi was so angry that he contradicted the Buddha a few words, then tossed his robe and ran out of Lingshan. Finally, He was captured by Guanyin Bodhisattva

However, since the riot caused by Jin Chanzi, the monks in Lingshan rarely mentioned this matter of "holding flowers and smiling". After all, they really didn't understand it. Even now, it is still the same.

It's cloudy and foggy, and I don't know why.

Some monks even agreed with Jin Chanzi's words, thinking that Mahakasyapa was echoing the Buddha and smiling like the Buddha. In fact, he himself didn't understand anything.

At this moment, they heard the Bodhisattva mentioning the old story again. Although they were asking Master Tripitaka, most of the monks felt guilty, fearing that the Buddha would use the topic again and cause another setback.

Fahai was silent for a while.

He had only heard about this matter, and he really didn't know what the specific situation was.

The Bodhisattva's question made him suddenly understand something, that is, although he was Tang Sanzang, he did not seem to be Jin Chanzi.

As for the resurrection of Jin Chanzi's true spirit, it has never happened before. Because he is Fahai and has no memory of Jin Chanzi.

Thinking of this, Fahai frowned slightly, obviously lost in thought.

When the monks saw this, they all looked at the Bodhisattva with the expression "As expected of a Bodhisattva", and hit the target with one blow. Some of them were even unsteady in their thoughts, and they were still praying silently in their hearts, hoping that Sanzang would not be able to answer, and this matter of debating scriptures would be over. If this can come to an end, everyone will be relieved.

But at this moment——

However, he slowly raised his head and looked at the Bodhisattva. His brows gradually relaxed, his hand was like holding a flower, and then there was a slight smile on the corner of his mouth.

"That's not right!"

Some monks saw the difference, and Samantabhadra Bodhisattva next to Guanyin Bodhisattva suddenly whispered: "This is not like the Buddha's 'holding a flower and smiling'."

After hearing this, all the monks looked at it carefully and suddenly found it strange.

Then the monks looked at Guanyin Bodhisattva again and felt that it was no longer strange.

Because Master Tripitaka's gesture of picking up flowers now is based on the Bodhisattva picking up willow branches. It is naturally different from the time when Buddha picked up a Jinbala flower.

"Amitabha."

When Guanyin Bodhisattva saw it, he put away the willow branches, smiled at Sanzang and said, "Sanzang, I didn't expect that you and the poor monk really have the same mind."

Just then, the Bodhisattva picked up a branch, and Fahai saw from it the Bodhisattva's love and compassion for all living beings in the world, as well as his determination to save all living beings.

So he smiled knowingly.

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva said in a low voice: "Yes, the Buddha's smile back then was peaceful, quiet and indifferent. But just now, the smiles of Guanyin Master and Tripitaka showed compassion."

Although the voices of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva and Guanyin Bodhisattva were not loud, the monks in the main hall heard them clearly and felt mixed for a moment. They wondered whether they had troubled Tripitaka.

Then one day, the Great Sun Tathagata came to see the bustling event and asked out of curiosity: "When the Buddha was holding flowers, the poor monk was already in retreat at Futu Mountain, but he had never seen him. Tripitaka, the Bodhisattva asked you if you have understood the time when the Buddha was holding flowers. He smiled. I don’t mean to ask you whether you understand the Bodhisattva’s picking of branches.”

After saying that, the Great Sun Tathagata looked at the Buddha again: "Buddha, I wonder if it is possible to reproduce 'holding flowers and smiling' so that even poor monks can experience it?"

The Great Sun Tathagata is worthy of being the figure who competed with the Tathagata Many Treasures for the mastership of the spiritual mountain. Even the two Buddhas, Maitreya and Medicine Master, were always courteous when facing the Tathagata Tathagata.

But he was less polite.

The thing that gave Mahavatha Tathagata the most confidence was actually his recent success in inviting Peacock Daming King Bodhisattva to join the Tantric Sect. With the two of them joining forces, there really are few people in this Lingshan who can fight.

When the Buddha looked at the Great Sun Tathagata, a mountain-like aura swept across it in an instant.

But the opponent showed no weakness, and a red sun ignited with blazing flames. Boom boom boom!

Under the conflict of momentum, some monks with shallow foundations could no longer bear it. They all looked pale and staggered around. They were very embarrassed.

Instead, Master Tripitaka was left alone.

When the great sage saw this situation, he thought to himself: This Lingshan Mountain is probably not a pure Buddhist place, but it is quite lively.

Several disciples also like to join in the fun. Now seeing the two Buddhas facing each other tit for tat, it seems that a conflict is about to start, and they are still a little excited deep in their hearts. After all, such a scene is not something you can see if you want to see it.

"Amitabha."

The great venerable Maha Kasyapa recited the name of the Buddha and stood up slowly: "My Buddha has the Dharma Eye, a wonderful mind of Nirvana, a formless reality, a subtle Dharma door, and no words. It is taught outside the teachings. I always hold it, no matter what, ordinary people. The first truth of becoming a Buddha is conveyed to the poor monks."

"The poor monk obtained this method all because of his smile."

After he said these words, regardless of the conflicting momentum between the Tathagata Buddha and the Great Sun Tathagata, he took out the golden buddha flower from back then, held it in his arms and smiled, and looked at Sanzang: "Golden Chanzi, what's the explanation?"

The great venerable Maha Kasyapa asked Tripitaka, and the Buddha and the Great Sun Tathagata both calmed down.

However, the Peacock Daming King Bodhisattva sent a message to the Great Sun Tathagata: "Why are you doing this? You are too reckless."

The Great Sun Tathagata returned the message and said: "I wanted to find a reason to make Tathagata Buddha angry so that I could leave right away. Unexpectedly, he could not sit still."

Upon hearing this, Peacock Daming King Bodhisattva asked out of curiosity: "Why do fellow Taoists have to leave first in such a grand gathering?"

Great Sun Tathagata: "Buddha said: Don't say it, you will find out later. King Ming, please be mentally prepared. Don't blame the poor monk for not warning him in advance."

After all, the Great Sun Tathagata has sharp ears and eyes. When he first escaped from trouble, he heard Sun Wukong reciting sutras and did not react before. It was a moment of negligence. It was not until the Bodhisattva and Sanzang were asking questions that he suddenly remembered this matter.

Moreover, when their masters and disciples left Lingshan and sent the scriptures to the Tang Dynasty, the Bodhisattva even said that after they returned to Lingshan, they would test the great sage's "scripture" skills.

Fa Hai looked over and didn't answer. He only asked: "Since the Buddha preached the first truth for ordinary people to become a Buddha, why has the Venerable not become a Buddha yet?"

After hearing this, the monks couldn't help but look at Mahakasyapa and said in their hearts: Master Tripitaka's words make sense. Back then, he smiled and debunked the meaning of the Buddha's "holding a flower and smiling". Everyone asked him The reason can only be understood by the mind, but cannot be explained in words.

But why is it that almost a thousand years have passed and Kassapa is still a great venerable, but he still has not become a Buddha?

Of course, there is more than one Kassapa in Lingshan. There was also Kassapa Buddha among the seven Buddhas in the past. He is also watching the debate between Maha Kassapa and Tripitaka with great interest.

After hearing what Jin Chanzi said, Mahakasyapa was not angry and said with a smile: "I have learned the Dharma and practiced it, but it is not guaranteed to succeed."

After Fahai heard this, he immediately imitated him and smiled while holding flowers, and said with a smile: "I have solved it."

Monks:? ?

Mahakasyapa was also stunned. He was a little unclear about Master Tripitaka’s method. How could he solve it?

Then when he and Sanzang looked at each other, especially when he saw Sanzang's eyes, he couldn't help but smile at each other. Just like when he saw Buddha holding flowers, he could understand Buddha's mind. Now he also understands Tripitaka's mind. It can be said that he understands the meaning in his heart and smiles on his face.

Just as the monks were recalling the exchange of words between the two of them, the Great Sun Tathagata asked: "What's the explanation for Tripitaka?"

Fa Hai clasped his hands together and said, "When I hear this, I feel a connection in my heart. The young monk has already understood it."

"The poor monk doesn't believe it." The speaker was Kassapa Buddha, one of the seven Buddhas in the past.

"Anyone who sees the Buddha's mind will achieve the Buddha's path. However, those who become Buddhas will have a self-realized state of mind, which is formless nirvana. However, its wonderful state cannot be described in words. Therefore, those who have the Buddha's mind will see it naturally. Enlightenment. The so-called holding flowers and smiling means that Kassapa has seen the Buddha's heart." Fahai said to Kassapa Buddha: "I wonder if Kassapa Buddha thinks so?"

Kassapa Buddha nodded after hearing this, clasped his hands together, closed his eyes, and said no more words.

Apparently he agreed with Master Tripitaka's words.

At this time, Fahai looked at Mahakasyapa, and after paying homage, he said: "The reason why Your Majesty saw the Buddha but did not become a Buddha is because he thought that the Buddha's mind was not as good as his original mind. The young monk also broke the Buddha's relics, and only wished to Being an ordinary monk is only different from the pure and ascetic practice of the venerable monk, who walks in the world of mortals, subjugates demons, eliminates karma and protects lives."

"I wonder, sir, do you have any advice?"

He had nothing to refute what Tripitaka said. Perhaps he could write something about "killing karma and protecting students", but this was not his style.

Moreover, when Sanzang made the gesture of "holding flowers and smiling" just now, Mahakasyapa also saw the "Buddha's heart" that belonged to Sanzang alone.

As Tripitaka said just now: Seeing the Buddha's mind but not becoming a Buddha is just because he is simply unwilling to abandon his original mind.

Moreover, those who can become a Buddha are not so obsessed with whether to become a Buddha or not. They follow their original intention and do everything according to their heart.

Recite sutras when it’s time to recite sutras, and enlighten yourself when it’s time to enlighten.

It was only Tripitaka's words, "The Venerable devotes himself solely to pure and ascetic cultivation," that made him quite concerned.

Mahakasyapa frowned slightly. He was satisfied that he had not been out of Lingshan Mountain for a long time.

I also thought that the Buddha once said, "This inner teaching has no words and is transmitted from heart to heart." He had to shoulder the responsibility of finding a successor for this inner teaching to become a Buddha. He turned around and cupped his hands to the Buddha and said, "Buddha, Tripitaka." Once you understand it, you can pass on the Heart Sutra.”

Not to mention the monks present, not even the Buddha had expected what Mahakasyapa said.

Fahai on the side was even more confused, but thinking about the intersection between the two Buddha hearts just now when he "picked up the flowers and smiled", Fahai could understand the reason why the other party made this decision.

The Buddha smiled on the golden lotus and said: "The Heart Sutra has been passed down to you, you can handle it yourself."

"Amitabha."

Mahakasyapa clasped his hands together and recited the Buddha's name. Golden light bloomed from his body and he said to Sanzang: "Sanzang, can you open your heart?"

Fa Hai also clasped his hands and did not put any defense against him.

The two golden lights continued to interact with each other, and all kinds of wonderful Sanskrit music sounded on the main hall. Golden lotuses bloomed around the two people, especially between the chest and abdomen of Tang Sanzang. Many relic fragments appeared again, and with the Mahaka. As Ye spreads the scriptures, the relic fragments are slowly recombining.

When all the monks saw this, they all sighed

I can't help but think of the scene when Tripitaka shattered the already formed virtual relic when he was saving his disciples.

If the two parties exchange, they ask themselves how difficult it is to achieve this step.
