The great sage just smiled when he saw the master and said nothing.
Then he thought to himself and said, "Hey, that's right. We followed Master to come to Lingshan to obtain scriptures, not to see them. Judging from how many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas there are in the Mahavira Palace."
Fa Hai then looked at Wukong: "Wukong, be careful what you say."
The Great Sage just waved the golden cudgel in his hand, and the tip of the stick swept across the flowers and plants on both sides of the road, but he only swayed them in the wind and did not do anything to destroy the flowers.
"Little White Dragon." The Great Sage asked Little White Dragon again, "When Bajie was crossing the bridge just now, he was confused by lust and appetite. What about you?"
Xiao Bailong pointed to his long hair and said helplessly: "To be honest, senior brother, I heard Master say from behind that he asked me to wait for a while and wait for my shave before crossing the bridge."
After hearing this, Bajie walked a few steps quickly to catch up and asked curiously: "Then why didn't you stop and wait?"
"I begged Master all the way. If Master wanted to shave me, he would have done it long ago. Why wait for me to get halfway across the bridge?" Xiao Bailong laughed again: "Besides, whether I am shaved or not, I am Master's disciples are all practicing cultivation, so I don't care about it anymore."
"Amitabha." Wu Jing recited the Buddha's name and smiled at the side: "Isn't this the true meaning of cultivation?"
Hahaha--
The brothers looked at each other and smiled.
Fahai was very happy to see him. It was actually his blessing to be able to walk these 180,000 miles with the four disciples.
The obsessions in my heart were actually slowly resolved along the way, especially my inherent prejudice against demons.
People often say that if you have the Dharma in your heart, there are spiritual mountains everywhere.
But now, his master and apprentice have truly reached Lingshan Mountain.
Look at the sky in front of you, Hanzhong, and your roots are connected to the Sumeru channel.
Under the cliff are beautiful flowers of Yao Cao, and beside the winding path are purple zhizhi and fragrant flowers. Immortal apes pick fruits into the peach forest, while white cranes and pine trees stand on their branches.
Looking ahead, I saw Huang Sensen's golden tiles and agate paved with colorful tiles. There are Ruigong Zhuque in the east row, Rui Palace and Zhuque in the west row, Bao Pavilion and Zhenlou in the south and north.
It truly deserves to be the grand realm of Lingshan.
"Master, where is the place with the rays of light?" Ba Huan asked, pointing to a place.
"It should be the Heavenly King's Palace."
Bajie nodded, pointed to another place and exclaimed: "Master, look, there is another place over there that is spraying purple flames in front of the entrance."
"That's the Dharma Protector Hall."
"Oops!" Just after turning the corner of the mountain, the great sage walking in front was also startled and said to the master who came after him: "Master, the scene in Lingshan this time is not small. It is not even close to the Great Leiyin Temple Mountain. At the door, there are already so many monks meditating here!"
The pagoda appeared, and the fragrance of flowers bloomed in the bowl. Master and disciples met many monks under the green pine forest and cypress bushes.
Without waiting for Fahai to express his gratitude, he saw that all the monks had already saluted Master Tripitaka and said in unison: "We welcome the holy monk."
After Fahai returned the courtesy, he asked, "Why are you all here?"
"The temple has been full for a long time, and there is no room for us and those of us who are not practicing enough, so we are here to welcome the holy monk, and we can also look at the holy face of the holy monk." A monk said, "Holy monk, please enter the temple quickly, Buddha and The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas have been waiting for you for a long time."
Fahai paused for a moment, and then said: "Let the poor monk see the Buddha and get the scriptures, and then talk to you about it."
All the Upasakas, Upasikas, monks, and nuns clasped their hands to thank each other, and then watched Master Tripitaka walking all the way to the gate of Daleiyin Temple.
Outside the door were the Four Great Vajras. They saw that in addition to Master Tripitaka, even the Great Sage and several other disciples were wearing cassocks, and they couldn't help but take a few more glances.
The Great Sage stepped forward to greet you and said with a smile: "Brothers of the Demon Family, you don't guard the Heavenly Gate, but you come here to guard the Buddhist Gate. Aren't you afraid that True Lord Erlang will punish you for dereliction of duty?"
The boss, Mo Liqing, laughed after hearing this and said: "The Great Sage doesn't know. Brothers and I have two positions, but we used to be stationed at Tianmen and not at Lingshan. But it's different now. The Jade Emperor specially issued a decree for us to return to Lingshan. I am waiting here for the holy monk."
"Oh~" the great sage drawled a long sound and said with a smile: "I, the old grandson, have met various gods and deities along the way, and still call me the great sage. What, but my old grandson, the great sage's name is still on the list of heaven? "
"Now, back then, the Great Sage was only suppressed by the Buddha at the foot of the Five Elements Mountain, and was not removed from his title. The Great Sage Palace Erlang Zhenjun even sent people to take care of it. If the Great Sage wants to go back, he can go to heaven at any time."
The Great Sage knows this, but his palace should have been a chicken pen for a while before being taken away by Erlang Zhenjun.
Hum, the Jade Emperor is too small-minded, but I, my grandson, will not argue with you. After I, my grandson, follow my master to obtain the true scriptures and achieve the true fruition, I will go to the Yaochi in Heaven to recite the scriptures and pray for blessings in person.
The Great Sage got out of the way and invited the Master to come forward. Seeing that the Master wanted to bow first, he said: "Master, these are the Four Heavenly Kings and are old acquaintances of my disciples. There is no need to be polite to them."
In fact, there was no need for the Great Sage to stop him. The four brothers and Master Tripitaka's name were naturally heard by them like thunder. They had already greeted him: "The holy monk is coming from afar, and we will greet you."
"Amitabha." Fahai clasped his hands together and said, "Disciple Xuanzang, I have come to Daleiyin Temple in Lingshan to pay homage to my Buddha and ask for the true scriptures. I also ask the king of heaven to show me."
when!
After the bell rang, the four Vajras shouted to the temple: "Holy Monk of the Tang Dynasty, Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty has arrived!"
One by one, they reached the main hall of Daleiyin Temple.
Buddha immediately said: "Please come into the temple!"
Fahai never thought that one day he would be invited to Lingshan Mountain in such a posture. It should be noted that he wanted to go to Lingshan Mountain several times to pay homage to the Buddha, but was unable to do so. Although it cannot be said that he got his wish, it can be regarded as an end. There is a cause and effect in mind.
Fahai walked in the front, and the Great Sage and several other disciples lined up behind him, walked straight into the mountain, and entered the main hall.
The monks in the temple had long heard of their reputation as masters and disciples, and now seeing them for the first time, they all looked sideways.
Seeing that Master Tripitaka is truly worthy of his reputation, and now that he has entered the Buddhist holy land of Lingshan Mountain, he does not show any timidity. Instead, he is proud and walks with a high head.
Although the monkey was still escaping, it looked much more disciplined than before. Several Arhat Bodhisattva, who were familiar with the great sage, were communicating with each other with their eyes. Finally, the Bodhisattva glared at him, and he immediately calmed down;
The little white dragon is dressed in white robes, handsome and unrestrained. It is said that this is one of the eight dragons established by the Buddha. The leader of the dragons originally thought he was a young little dragon, but he did not expect to be so extraordinary;
Bajie had a black pot on his back, he was big and round, and he was looking around. When he saw a few Yaksha Rakshasa people who were uglier than himself, he couldn't help laughing.
In fact, what interests the monks the most is the realization of the Buddha-nature.
The movement of the bodies of the Yuanshen Buddha gathered on the Lingyun Ferry just now could not be concealed from the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the Mahavira Palace. The obsession of the nine generations of sutra collectors, even the Buddha, did not expect that they could become one body. , and also followed Tang Sanzang all the way to Lingshan.
To be honest, this is also a period of cause and effect. After all, if he hadn't allowed Jin Chanzi to reincarnate for ten lives, he wouldn't have been devoured by the rolling curtain god for nine consecutive lives.
In fact, the Buddha just sighed after seeing this. After all, those who were eaten were the reincarnations of Jin Chanzi, and Jin Chanzi was his second disciple.
Perhaps as a master, this method of educating his disciples is too harsh, but for people like them, it may not be a big deal.
Originally this was what Buddha thought, but until today when he saw Wu Jing standing in front of him, especially when he looked into Wu Jing's pure eyes, he began to reflect unconsciously -
As Tripitaka said, compared to ordinary living beings, the arrogance and methods of many gods and immortals may seem ordinary, but if it falls on those nine generations of pilgrims, is it too cruel?
The Buddha has great wisdom, so he became more and more determined, and I am determined to deal with this mortal situation.
It is a true reincarnation, not like Taoist Duobao incarnating as Sakyamuni.
Fahai walked up to the Buddha and said: "The monk Xuanzang of the Tang Dynasty, in accordance with the decree of the Emperor of the Tang Dynasty in the East, went to Baoshan Mountain to obtain the true scriptures to benefit all living beings."
After that, he bowed to the Buddha.
Several disciples also bowed down together.
After Fahai stood up, he bowed to the Ancient Buddha of Burning Deng and Maitreya Buddha, and then bowed to Guanyin Bodhisattva.
As for the other Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the main hall, they gathered around to pay homage together. His eyes swept over and fell on Jin Zha, who was at the end of the row, and the Great Sage King Bodhisattva. After gesturing to each other, they bowed seriously to the Dragon-Subduing Arhat among the eighteen Arhats.
Not to mention the monks in the temple, even the Dragon Subduing Arhat himself was a little surprised. Although he was both a disciple of the Buddha, his friendship with Jin Chanzi had always been normal. But he didn't expect that there would be such a festival today. People are polite, so he naturally Not being rude, he returned the courtesy politely.
After this was done, Master Sanzang personally presented the customs clearance document. After Tathagata Buddha carefully read it, he handed it back to Sanzang and said with a smile: "Sanzang has worked hard all the way."
"Compared with the hardships of all sentient beings, it is not considered hard work for disciples. It is nothing more than practicing in the world of mortals." Fahai kept his true intention and did not feel any strangeness just because he saw the Buddha.
In the past, he was worried that his identity would be discovered by the Buddha, but this time, he has become very calm.
No matter what happened in the past, today Tripitaka and Fahai are one and the same.
Fahai could also realize that his compassionate heart was actually a gift from Master Tripitaka. Otherwise, what kind of image he would look like after arriving at Lingshan is still open to question.
"All living beings have hardships and practice in the world of mortals." The Buddha's voice was loud and clear, and it spread throughout the entire Lingshan Mountain. After repeating these four words, he said: "Everyone in the world says that I am a Buddhist sect. In troubled times, the mountains are often closed, and in prosperous times, the mountains are closed. I wonder what you think of this act of amassing money?"
This question is not for Master Tripitaka, but for the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the Mahavira Hall.
Not to mention the Main Hall, the Great Leiyin Temple and the entire Lingshan Mountain were all silent and very quiet at this moment.
The monks knew that today was definitely not peaceful. After all, Master Tripitaka's deeds along the way were no secret. Even the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas were mentally prepared to argue with this beast and fail.
But unexpectedly, before the main topic of Buddhist scriptures was discussed, the Buddha started to attack.
The ancient lamp-burning Buddha on the side lowered his eyes and said nothing. Although the Maitreya Buddha was still smiling, he actually looked a little bitter at the moment. Well, he was pleased with this and saw the acquired race hanging on Wukong's waist. bag.
Medicine Buddha clasped his hands together and said: "The pure land of Buddhism can protect the common people in troubled times, and can bring peace to the people in prosperous times. As for the theories of sealing mountains and amassing money, they are mostly deceived by people who steal the name of the Buddha and act under the guise of Buddha's name, thus deceiving the world."
After Medicine Buddha finished speaking, he looked at Sanzang and said with a smile: "Sanzang traveled all the way to the west. He must have seen and heard something. Is it true what the poor monk said?"
Fahai clasped his hands together and said, "What Medicine Buddha said makes sense."
It just makes sense.
Of course everyone can hear it.
Both parties stopped talking and did not delve into the matter. After all, along the way, those Buddhist temples that did not do anything, or those that occupied the magpie's nest, were basically "swept away" by their masters and disciples.
As for other matters, rectification, or punishment, that is all a matter for later.
Originally, the Buddha wanted to say something "derogatory" about Dongtu, such as that it was too vast and crowded, that it was greedy and murderous, that it was full of adultery and deceit, that it was deceitful and deceitful; and that it did not follow Buddhism, did not pursue good deeds, and did not respect the Three Kingdoms. Light and so on.
But it is difficult to say these words now. After all, Xizhou is like a piece of cake. No one should look down on anyone.
Only after the discussion between Tripitaka and Medicine Buddha did the Buddha speak: "When the Bodhisattva went east to the Tang Dynasty, he chose you as his sutra collector. Now he has finally arrived at Lingshan. I now have Tripitaka, which can transcend suffering and explain disasters."
"The so-called Tripitaka: There is a Dharma and a Tibetan for talking about heaven; there is a Dharma and a Tibetan for talking about the earth; there is a Sutra and a Tibetan for saving ghosts. There are thirty-five volumes in total, totaling 15,144 volumes. It is really the path to cultivation. The Gate of Righteousness and Goodness contains everything from astronomy, geography, characters, birds and beasts, flowers and trees, utensils, and human affairs in the four major continents of the world.”
"Anuo and Jiaye, you two will lead him and four people under the treasure tower. First, give him a fasting meal. After the fasting, open the treasure pavilion and take each of the thirty-five parts of my Tripitaka. Check out a few volumes with him and teach him how to spread them to the east."
Then two venerables came forward to lead their master and disciple out of the temple.
The great sage was anxious for a moment and said in his heart: This is not right!
How could he give me the scriptures so smoothly?
He originally thought that when his master came to collect the sutras, he would be in trouble. He was even prepared to recite sutras in the main hall, but he did not expect that the Buddha would send them away like this.
However, Fahai took one step forward, passed the two venerables, and then said to the Buddha: "My Buddha is compassionate, and I have many doubts in my mind. Now I have reached Lingshan Mountain, and I am about to ask the Buddha for advice."
"Sanzang." The Buddha spoke slowly, "Please be patient for a moment. First, take the true scriptures and send them to the Tang Dynasty. Then return to Lingshan. Then there will be the Buddhas in my hall and your masters and disciples." Discussing the law and debating the scriptures.”
The great sage heard this and asked curiously: "Buddha, why bother? Are you asking us to make this extra trip?"
Only the Bodhisattva knows why the Buddha went to such unnecessary lengths. Because he was afraid that after the Tripitaka Debate was over, he would return to Tang Dynasty with the scriptures and stop coming to Lingshan.
If Tripitaka can't come to Lingshan, how can he pass on the title of Buddha to him?
There is another concern. If a commotion really breaks out, we don’t know what kind of turmoil will happen in Lingshan. If something goes wrong, the scriptures cannot be sent back to the Tang Dynasty by their masters and disciples. This matter of traveling westward to obtain scriptures is also It has become the laughing stock of the three worlds, and there will be no mention of the great rise of the West in the future.
This method was also discussed in private between Guanyin Bodhisattva and Buddha.
As for whether it would cause trouble to their master and disciples, there was no need to worry about it. After all, when returning to Datang and Lingshan, there was no need to walk back step by step. It only took a blink of an eye to walk back and forth on the clouds.
