The Golden Summit Immortal was very considerate and gave Master Tripitaka a ride.
Although the Great Sage has been to Lingshan, he also recognizes the cloud road. He really doesn't know how to keep his feet on the ground on this land road.
They didn't need to go out of the mountain gate of Yuzhen Temple. They just walked out of the back door of Guanyuzhong Hall and saw a smooth road. The Golden Summit Immortal pointed to the mountain in front and said, "Holy Monk, please look, there are five auspicious lights in the half sky, auspicious and auspicious." The most important thing is the Peak of the Spiritual Vulture, the holy place of the Buddha."
"Amitabha, good, good!" Fa Hai clasped his hands and said to the Jinding Immortal: "Thank you, Immortal, for sending me here. Now that I have seen the Lingshan Mountain, I would like to ask the Immortal to stop."
"Hehehe." The golden-crested immortal's laughter was still hearty, "The holy monk and his disciples have arrived at the blessed land and can see the Lingshan Mountain. It's time for me to go back."
My family knows their own affairs.
He is a Taoist True Immortal, but he built a Jade True Temple at the foot of his Lingshan Buddhist Realm. Even though the Lingshan monks are not easy to attack due to their status, they are not welcome on weekdays.
Regarding this job, Jinding Daxian also enjoyed the hardships.
It's almost enough to get here, but it would be a bit rude to go further up.
After bidding farewell to the Golden Summit Immortal, the master and his disciples headed towards Lingshan Mountain. However, the originally good road turned into a small road after less than five or six miles. It took less than a cup of tea to walk along the small road. I heard the sound of waves hitting the shore ahead.
When I walked forward, I saw a rolling wave, about eight or nine miles wide, running across the mountains and blocking the road.
"Lingyundu."
When everyone walked to the shore, they saw that the river was wide, the waves were turbulent, and there was no one around. Not to mention that there was a flat boat standing on the river bank. The three words "Lingyundu" written on it must be the name of this rushing river.
Bajie smiled when he saw it and said: "We have passed through many of the eight hundred miles of rivers, but this Lingshan only blocks the road with a ditch less than ten miles wide. We are really stingy."
"There are even more stingy ones." Xiao Bailong pointed at the flat back and said, "Second senior brother, how about taking a look at the bridge?"
Hearing this, Bajie looked over and said with a smile: "It turns out to be a single-plank bridge."
"This bridge is extraordinary." The Great Sage stretched out his hand to touch it and said, "It is very smooth. Let alone a mortal, even if a deity or the like steps on it without using his magic power, he may not be able to walk a few steps."
"Let me try, old pig."
Bajie walked up casually, stepped up, and said: "Oh! Master, this Lingshan is not well-intentioned and wants to see our jokes. I'm afraid a spell has been cast on this single-plank bridge, making it as slippery as ice skating. Seriously!" It’s hard to get a foothold.”
Wukong listened and said with a smile: "Since you can't walk, just ride on the wind and go there."
"Go, go, go -" Bajie waved his hands repeatedly, "Old Zhu, I have followed Master for thousands of miles. How can I show my cowardice when I tremble at the doorstep? Although I have no face, Old Zhu, I can't lose it. When Master's face crosses the bridge, he will let me, the old pig, take the lead."
Seeing that Bajie, who had always been lazy, was taking the vow now, everyone praised him repeatedly. Fahai even patted Bajie on the shoulder a few times to encourage him: "Okay, I'll let you clear the way."
As the saying goes, the sky looks like a jade pillar from a distance, but the water looks like a dried up tree from a close perspective.
This single-plank bridge only has half a foot. If ordinary people saw it, where would they dare to walk?
The Great Sage also joked: "No wonder there are so few Buddhas in the world. I probably can't cross this single-plank bridge."
Wu Jing also added: "Buddhas are rarely seen walking in the world. Is it because of this single-plank bridge that prevents them from going down the mountain?"
The Great Sage was stunned for a moment, and then he laughed out loud: "Wonderful, wonderful!"
Just as Bajie was about to get on the bridge, a small boat rowed up from the other side of the river, calling to everyone: "Get in the boat, get in the boat."
"Oh?" Xiao Bailong stood on the shore, pointed to the boat, turned to the master and said: "Master, there is a boat coming, and it is bottomless."
The Great Sage and Fahai had long recognized the person coming. Fahai clasped his hands together and bowed slightly to the other person, saying: "Amitabha, Tang Sanzang has seen the Buddha."
Although the other party was in disguise, Fahai still revealed his secret.
When the other disciples heard that the master called the person coming to welcome the Buddha, they also performed a Buddhist salute. Bajie even asked: "Buddha, how can you ferry people with this bottomless broken boat? We still have to wait. Take this bridge.”
The Buddha was not surprised at all, he just smiled and responded: "My boat, Hongmeng, has a good reputation at first, but fortunately I can hold on to it without changing it. There are waves and winds, but it is still stable, and there is no end or beginning, and the peace is peaceful. I am spotless. If you can return to oneness, you will be able to travel safely through all the tribulations. A bottomless boat can't cross the sea, and it has been ferrying all living beings across the ages. If you can walk on the bridge, you can cross it; if you can't walk on the bridge, you can come to my boat."
"Thank you Lord Buddha for your kindness."
Although Fa Hai did not plan to take the boat, he still thanked the Buddha and then said to Bajie: "Cross the bridge."
"well."
Bajie was no longer afraid. The worst he could do was fall off the bridge. Anyway, he was good at water, so he was not afraid at all at the moment. I saw him tightening the black pot on his body, stepping on it with one foot first, then turning back to the master and saying: "Master, the disciple is gone."
"Go, go." The Great Sage waved his hand impatiently, "Those who don't know better think you are going to go up the mountain of knives and go down into the sea of fire."
"Wukong." Fa Hai stared at the Great Sage. The Great Sage smiled and hurriedly said to Bajie: "If you come over there, I, the old grandson, will buy you a year's worth of spiritual fruit in Huaguo Mountain."
"One year is not enough, add more." Bajie has already taken two steps up, seemingly steady.
The Great Sage waved his hand: "Ten years."
At this moment, Bajie has reached the middle of the bridge. The waves are still hitting him. His already huge body is still shaking a little. It can be seen that he does not need to use magic to stabilize his body. He has to walk across the bridge first. It is really not possible. too easy.
The wind and waves were very loud, and I don’t know if Bajie heard the code that his brother monkey gave him.
"Something's wrong!" The Great Sage pointed in the direction of Bajie and said, "Why doesn't Bajie leave?"
"Don't be impatient." Fahai stopped Wukong who was about to step forward, and said: "The boat to pick up the Buddha is following him. Maybe this single-plank bridge has some magic. When you pass the bridge, Then you know.”
After about a few breaths, Bajie finally opened his legs, took a few big steps, and landed on the shore. He waved to his master and brothers on the other side and said, "Master, Brother Monkey, I'm coming, you guys should come quickly too!"
As soon as he finished speaking, he sat down on a stone nearby and wiped the sweat from his forehead with his sleeves.
Although he came through it smoothly, the dangerous aspects still made Bajie frightened for a while.
Originally, he just blocked his magic power and walked over on his feet. Although he was incompetent, his martial arts had been carefully polished and trained by his senior brother. He thought that crossing a small single-plank bridge would be no problem.
But who knew that the key to this single-plank bridge is not at your feet, but in your heart.
When Bajie crossed the bridge this time, what aroused him was lust and appetite. Fortunately, he had already changed his lustful habits, and appetite was nothing to Bajie. After all, he had crossed the Xizhou. What delicious food has he not seen along the way?
When Bajie was thinking about it, he heard the voice of his senior brother: "Idiot, why are you covered in cold sweat?"
Bajie was shocked for a moment, and quickly raised his eyes, only to see that his senior brother had already crossed the bridge without knowing when!
The great sage walked across the bridge as if he were walking on flat ground. He also did some somersaults on it and never stopped for a moment.
Because I saw that Bajie was not in good condition just now, and now I came over and saw that he was covered in cold sweat, so naturally I had to ask carefully.
Bajie also looked at the senior brother looking up and down with a puzzled look on his face: "Didn't you encounter anything strange when the senior brother came here?"
"I was about to ask you." The Great Sage was also very confused about this: "When I came here, it was very smooth. It was not like the twists and turns you just had. But what did you encounter?"
"To be honest, senior brother, when we were halfway there, some illusions appeared in front of our eyes."
"Illusion?" The Great Sage pondered for a moment, then said to Bajie: "Don't be impatient now, wait for Master and the others to come over and see what the plan is."

The next person who stepped onto the single-plank bridge was Wu Jing.
The moment Wu Jing's feet touched the single-plank bridge, nine spiritual bodies were seen scattered out of the corpse, and the corpse slipped into the Lingyun Crossing——
When everyone was in shock, they saw the Buddha who was guiding him used his bottomless boat to catch the body, and then said to Wu Jing: "This is not you. The poor monk will carry it for you."
The nine spirits joined hands and climbed onto the single-plank bridge together. Although they were spirits, their steps were firm.
It wasn't until after passing the Lingyun Land and leading the Buddha to return his body that he saw a whirlwind rising out of thin air, gathering the spiritual energy around Lingshan and enveloping nine obsessive spirits in one place. After a moment -
The nine spirits reunited and merged into one body, forming a body of the primordial spirit Buddha, which still had the appearance of "Wu Jing".
Wu Jing, however, turned to the one who introduced the Buddha and said, "Master once said when he accepted me as a disciple, that this body had eaten the bodies of nine of us in the past, so he wanted it to carry our nine spirits to Lingshan to complete the cause and effect. Now that we have arrived at Lingshan, we should make a perfect farewell."
"Besides, if a person is dead, why should his body still suffer in this world?"
After saying that, Wu Jing stretched out his hand and led the corpse on the bottomless boat to him, then sat down cross-legged and began to recite the Sutra of Transcendence.
Fahai naturally saw clearly that Wu Jing was resurrecting the corpse on the other side. After nodding secretly, he said to Xiao Bailong: "Go ahead, I will be the last to leave as my master."
"yes."
Fa Hai saw it clearly. Compared to Wukong and Wu Jing, who were calm, Xiao Bailong's trip was just like Bajie. There were still some twists and turns. He still paused for a moment halfway through.
But we still passed Lingyundu smoothly.
When the little white dragon got off the bridge, Fahai stepped forward and felt the touch of his feet carefully. Although it was a little smooth, that was all.
I walked leisurely and reached the halfway point in a short time. I felt a little bit of anticipation in my heart, wanting to see what kind of magic was hidden on this single-plank bridge.
It's just that at this moment, it seems calm, even the rushing water under my feet has become much calmer, and the mountain wind has calmed down.
And every time he takes a step, a golden lotus will grow from the single-plank bridge, and then float down to the Lingyun Ferry. Not only will the fish and dragons on the Lingyun Ferry offer gifts, but it will also attract hundreds of birds in the Lingshan Mountain to gather, and all the beasts will sing in unison——
The disciples watched from the other side of the river and couldn't help but say: "Master is indeed a master, but just crossing the Lingyun Ferry makes such a huge difference!"
Seeing this, Fahai restrained his thoughts and quickened his pace. But at the moment when he was about to get off the bridge, a picture suddenly flashed in his mind——
Also at Lingyundu.
A mortal monk who looked exactly like himself wanted to cross the clouds. If he guessed correctly, this mortal monk should be the original Master Tripitaka. Because he was physically unable and did not dare to go up the single-plank bridge, and was afraid of the bottomless boat that brought the Buddha. He dared to get on the boat to cross the river. In the end, he was pushed down by Wukong. He fell into the water, but was picked up by Buddha, who was holding the boat, and then he got on the boat.
The Buddha sailed ashore. When the monk turned around, he saw a dead body floating down the river.
That dead body was none other than Tang Sanzang!
It’s a mortal body!
What fell into the Lingyun Ferry was the mortal body, and what remained on the boat was the true spirit of the soul!
But now that Fahai has crossed Lingyundu on the single-plank bridge in his mortal body, there is naturally no such scene.
Then he suddenly came back to his senses.
Fahai looked down at the Lingyun Ferry at his feet, stepped off the single-plank bridge, and asked the Buddha who was on the ferry: "May I ask the Buddha, if the boat of the Buddha were to cross the mortal world and cross the river, would it be able to shed the body of fetal bones? "
The Buddha then clasped his hands together and said, "Yes, anyone who can cross this single-plank bridge with an ordinary body has the qualifications to become a Buddha. Those who dare to ride on my bottomless boat with an ordinary body can shed their mortal bodies and obtain the soul without leakage." , can also become a Buddha."
"Amitabha." Fa Hai secretly recited the Buddha's name after hearing this, and said to himself that his guess was indeed correct.
Even now that Fahai knows the truth, he still crosses the bridge in his physical body. He cannot do anything to abandon his physical body.
"There is one more thing I would like to ask you about, the Buddha." Fahai bowed to the Buddha again.
The Buddha then said with a smile: "The holy monk has something to say, just open your mouth, I know everything and say it."
"I wonder who the Demon Ancestor Wutian is?"
The Buddha did not seem to be surprised by Master Tripitaka's words. Instead, he seemed to have expected it, and answered directly: "He is the great sage of the demon world, and he is also the second disciple of the former Buddha Upalatha, and the great protector of Lingshan Kinna Luo Bodhisattva."
"Last night he came to me in disguise and wanted to help him get the scriptures." The Buddha and Master Tripitaka looked at each other and said in a deep voice: "I wanted to wait until you got the scriptures and left Lingshan. I’ll tell you again. Unexpectedly, you’re asking now.”
"Thank you Lord Buddha for speaking out."
When Fahai wanted to ask for more details, there was no trace of the Buddha and the bottomless boat.
"Amitabha."
Fahai didn't chase him, he just called to a few disciples, "Let's go."
Flowers, grass, pine trees, luan, phoenix, crane and deer.
This kind of grand scene is not comparable to those mountains where monsters were entrenched in the past.
At this time, the master and disciples also speeded up their pace slightly, looking at the Leiyin Ancient Temple in the distance, and walked up Lingshan Mountain.
"Master, how many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are sitting in the Great Leiyin Temple right now?" The great sage jumped at the front and suddenly turned around and asked.
