Fahai thought he was well-informed, and he had countless demons of all kinds that he had saved.
But today, it was an eye-opener.
Regardless of who this Lingtusk Elephant Buddha is, Fahai felt that he must meet him in person for a while and see who this Lingtusk Elephant Buddha really is.
By the way, in Hezhou, Xiniu, where Buddhism originated, whether it is a Buddha or a demon, is there really anyone who dares to act like this?
Are the Buddhas in Lingshan pretending not to see them? Or just let it go?
Could it be that...this is another disaster set by Lingshan to "prevent" him from going west?
After hearing the whole story clearly, Fahai had already made a rough estimate in his mind.
There are nothing more than two situations. One is that demons use the Buddha's name to deceive and deceive; the second is that the Buddha does demonic things.
In the former case, to save him by himself is to rectify the name of Buddhism; in the latter case... Fahai could not help but wonder whether this was Lingshan setting up a disaster for him in the westward journey, but he had to use his own hands to clean up the door.
But he was also willing to make this knife.
Fahai suppressed these thoughts for the time being. Before seeing the true image, he was not willing to speculate about Lingshan Buddha like this.
After all...this elephant Buddha seems to be in the Baoxiang Kingdom. Apart from only eating the offerings and not manifesting any spiritual manifestations...he just heard the king say today that he wanted boys and girls to serve as offerings, but he happened to meet a rather wise man. Your Majesty, you haven’t paid any attention to him yet.
In addition, it seems that he has not done any evil deeds that would make people angry.
I'm afraid there's something fishy about this matter. Thinking of this, Fahai first spoke to reassure the king, "Since the poor monk knows about this, he will not sit idly by and ignore it. Your Majesty, don't worry."
After leaving the imperial study room, Fahai used the method of transmitting sounds from thousands of miles away: "Wukong, Ao Lie!"
The king hurriedly chased out the door, only to see two rays of gold and silver streaking across the sky. After landing, they turned into two disciples of the holy monk. One was the eldest disciple Sun Wukong, and the other was the junior disciple Ao Lie.
"Master."
The two disciples hurriedly stepped forward to salute and said, "Master, what are your instructions?"
"Wukong, if you are quick on your feet, go to Luojia Mountain in the South China Sea. First, go see Guanyin Bodhisattva and ask the Bodhisattva clearly if there is a Spirit-tusked Elephant Buddha among the Buddhas in this Lingshan Mountain. If not, you can return on your own. "If it really exists... then tell the Bodhisattva that this Buddha has fallen into a demon and a poor monk has descended upon him."
The Great Sage was quite puzzled and asked: "Master just needs to conquer the demons, why do you need me, Old Sun, to go to the South China Sea?"
"Senior Brother, if Master asks you to go, just go quickly -"
When Xiao Bailong heard this, he thought to himself: Master probably encountered a rare opponent, and was afraid that senior brother would get the upper hand, so he asked him to move away.
"This matter is not trivial." Fahai looked serious and said: "If the poor monk really wants to fight with a true Buddha... Regardless of the outcome, isn't it the people of Baoxiang Kingdom who will suffer? We should invite Bodhisattva Only by holding down the battle can we be safe."
Back then, due to a mistake of his own, the two green and white snakes flooded the Jinshan Mountain, which was already a huge man-made disaster.
What would it be like to fight a true Buddha in Baoxiang Kingdom now?
In the past, demons were conquered in the mountains, but now in human cities, it is natural to use rat weapons to avoid them.
Don't make the same mistake twice and nip it in the bud.
Besides, how can there be no witnesses to such things as subduing demons?
I can exercise some restraint so as not to hurt mortals, but the same cannot be said for this possessed demon Buddha.
There are Bodhisattvas who can protect ordinary people, so I can let go and do things without being tied up.
The king was dumbfounded as he listened... Good guy, is this the mortal monk you call?
Which ordinary monk can dare to invite a Bodhisattva even if he says so?
Also...isn't it necessary to invite the Bodhisattva to the Bodhisattva Temple?
Your old man sent his great disciple directly to Nanhai to find him... Is it really okay?
Also, with your determined look and tone, do you already acquiesce that the Bodhisattva will come?
Xiao Wang sees that you are not a monk from the Eastern Land of the Tang Dynasty who went to the Western Heaven to pray to Buddha and seek scriptures. You are clearly the true Buddha who descended to earth to cure pollution and subjugate evil spirits.
When the king went to see Master Tripitaka again, he felt that his figure was getting taller and taller, shining with dazzling Buddha light.
He said in his heart: After sending the holy monk off to the west, we decided to demolish the elephant Buddha in the Baoxiang Buddha Temple, erect a golden body for the holy monk, and worship it day and night.
As for why we had to wait until Master Tripitaka left for the west before taking action, we were afraid that Master Tripitaka, a great eminent monk, would not agree to such a request.
The great sage obeyed the master's instructions and did not dare to neglect. He somersaulted to the South China Sea.
"Ao Lie."
Xiao Bailong quickly stepped forward to listen.
"When you go to Xiangfo Temple to pay your respects, tell him that on the 15th of tomorrow, the poor monk will discuss the Dharma with Xiangfo at the top of Wanzi Mountain. Please be sure to appreciate him."
"What if he doesn't want to come?" Xiao Bailong asked subconsciously.
"I ordered the demolition of all the elephant and Buddha temples in the country!" The king on the side clenched his fists and raised his voice, seeming to have some arrogant kingly power. After all, it was his own domestic affairs, and he also wanted to have a sense of participation.
In fact, since his father and son ascended the throne successively, although they have not deliberately suppressed the Xiangfo Temple, the so-called top and bottom results, things that even the king of a country does not like to see, the top ministers in the court will naturally not study, and then it will affect Local officials, these parent officials will affect the people...
What's more, in the past thirteen years, the king has begun to deliberately target the Elephant Buddha. In addition, the Elephant Buddha is indeed not effective. Therefore, saying how much the people believe in her... actually may not be somewhat true.
The people here are still simple and honest, and the weather has always been smooth. If it doesn't work, it won't work. The most you can do is not worship.
But Fahai had heard from Xiaobailong that in ancient times, some tribes with fierce folk customs in the Central Plains demolished the Dragon King Temple because their prayers for rain did not work. There are also people who, because of the flooding of the Yellow River, cannot pray to God, so they simply control the water themselves and become Hebo...
Even many gods in heaven did not become gods by the Jade Emperor's decree. Instead, sentient beings in the world are grateful for his achievements, or are inspired by his character to build temples to worship him. As a result, his true spirit ascends to heaven, and he receives his life and becomes a god. This is also a characteristic that other races in the three realms have never had.
Therefore, all the gods and Buddhas are so interested in the incense of the human world.
The king sincerely admired Master Tripitaka at this moment. It is not that he had never seen some self-proclaimed eminent monks in recent years, who were like clouds of mud compared to Master Tripitaka.
He also thought about it at this moment, how could such a true Buddha be accommodated in his small temple?
It would be a blessing for me to be able to quietly support him with a golden body in the future.
"The Buddha rescued people from misfortunes and gained the faith of all sentient beings. Isn't this what he is seeing?" The king had some clarity in his mind. "In the past, it was not that the Buddha was untrustworthy, but that he had not yet met the true Buddha who could be trusted."
He was not a Buddhist in the first place, and he did not know the exact meaning of this realization now, but he felt that the truth behind it should be so correct.
...
"There is a Spirit Tusk Elephant Buddha who has become a demon in the Baoxiang Kingdom? Your master is about to surrender it?"
Seeing the accuracy of the Great Sage's words, the Bodhisattva once even doubted whether there really was such a true Buddha in this sect of Buddhism.
"Go back and tell your master that this is a demon using the name of the Buddha to cause evil. Your master and disciple will be transformed on their own..." After saying this, the Bodhisattva suddenly paused. A little more dignified.
After a while, she shouted softly: "How brave!"
"Bodhisattva, is there anything wrong?"
Guanyin Bodhisattva said solemnly: "Although this demon has its origins, it will not be a hindrance to your master and disciple... Just feel free to surrender."
"Bodhisattva, what is its origin? Is it difficult for you to observe?"
"Hehehehe." The Bodhisattva smiled and said, "Aren't you afraid that if I tell you its identity, your master and disciple will be afraid?"
"Bodhisattva, you are joking. You have found a master for me, but you still don't know his temperament? If you were merciful because the goblin has a background... how frustrating will it be along the way?" the great sage smiled. He said: "In my opinion, if you don't make my master happy on this journey, it will be unpleasant for you to go to Daleiyin Temple in Lingshan and discipline all the true Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in Lingshan."
Bodhisattva Heart said: You may not know that before he met you, the poor monk really didn’t know that he had such a temperament.
"That's alright." The Bodhisattva said, "The poor monk will tell you his origin. Your master will have the confidence to deal with it."
"Bodhisattva, please speak. I, Old Sun, are listening."
"Did you know that Samantabhadra Bodhisattva sits on a white elephant?"
"I've heard a little bit, I've heard a little bit." The Great Sage took a step forward and said, "Could it be that Samantabhadra Bodhisattva rode a white elephant and descended to earth as a demon, pretending to be a god and a Buddha in the Kingdom of Baoxiang?"
"That's not true," the Bodhisattva said: "When the Precious Elephant Kingdom was founded, it was indeed the white elephant that Samantabhadra sat on that protected it. But later, it was his son who was enshrined in the Precious Elephant Kingdom."
"The Bodhisattva's words made me a little dizzy, so I'd better speak more clearly."
"Baixiang secretly gave birth to a son in the mortal world. He wanted to help this son transform into a demon body and cleanse the evil spirit... Therefore, he appeared to protect the Baoxiang Kingdom and establish the country. He wanted to use the incense of the people in the Baoxiang Kingdom to help His son will also achieve positive results."
The Great Sage scratched his head when he heard this: "Can you still act like this?"
"This is a deviant technique of qi circulation and marriage. It is useless to practice it." The Bodhisattva thought for a while and said: "God has the virtue of good life. If this little elephant has not done anything evil..."
"Don't worry, Bodhisattva." The Great Sage comforted the Bodhisattva repeatedly and said, "I, Old Sun, have always killed people without blinking an eye, and Master has taught me to do it. Master, he is not someone who kills innocent people indiscriminately... But then again , if that little elephant really did something evil... I'm afraid even I, the old grandson, can't plead for mercy."
"Amitabha, that's good, that's good." The Bodhisattva sighed softly and said, "You go and protect your master on his journey to the west, while the poor monk goes to Mount Emei."
The Great Sage didn't ask too much. Mount Emei is the monastery of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and the Bodhisattva should have gone to clean up the aftermath of his masters and disciples.
Seeing the great sage somersaulting away, the Bodhisattva opened his mouth and said to Hui'an Walker on the side: "We are going to Mount Emei, do you want to go with us?"
Hui'an Monk arrived without any hesitation and said directly: "Disciple Shoushan, let's let Junior Sister Long'er go."
The Good Fortune Dragon Girl's eyes lit up after hearing this. In the past, she was the one guarding the mountain at home, and she was tortured by the wolf. This time, it was time for her senior brother to suffer some torture. She bowed her hands and thanked him: "Thank you, senior brother."
Then he took a bottled magic weapon and stood next to the Bodhisattva.
