The main purpose of the Pure Land Sect is to use the practitioner's practice of chanting Buddha's name as the internal cause, and the power of Amitabha's vows as the external condition, and to guide the practitioner to be reborn in the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss.
It is said that by reciting one sentence of Amitabha, you will be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss, and develop your thoughts and wishes to the extreme. Amitabha's Dharma Body will bear all the karma and retribution, and countless Bodhisattvas and Arhats will work together to maintain the Pure Land and establish the Eight Treasures Merit Pool System.
Theoretically, as long as there is a continuous stream of Buddhist disciples, the number of merits increases, and the chain of faith does not collapse, this model can continue to play for countless kalpas.
"But... what if it collapses."
Shen Gongbao fell into deep thought, and then shuddered.
The Pure Land Sect recites Amitabha, and there are true sons of the Buddha like Brahma who conform their own nature to the Buddha's nature and eventually become the Tathagata. However, they are more of a melee between fish and dragons and ignorant people who purely worship the Buddha and his gods.
The Pure Land Sect in the previous life even spawned White Lotus, Mingjiao... and many organizations, resulting in various bad debts and odious debts.
Amitabha Buddha has immeasurable supernatural powers and inconceivable merits, but in the end, he is no match for the karma and sins caused by countless sentient beings in the three thousand worlds.
Eventually, one day, the Western Pure Land cannot make ends meet, and the system of the Eight Treasures Merit Pool collapses. The water in the pool is no longer filled with immeasurable merit, but with boundless karma.
At that time...what will happen? !
You must know that the essence of the Eight Treasures Merit Pool is to use the credit of the saint as collateral. Once it collapses, the saint's credit will be bankrupt.
That's no joke.
It will only lead to two results. One is to overturn the chessboard. Just like a certain country's financial hegemony in previous generations, it relied on its world's largest force as a guarantee.
If the credit of the saint is ruined, either he will be like the leader of Tongtian, reenact the earth's wind, water and fire, open up the world again, and use absolute force to liquidate all cause and effect. If everything is truly in vain, naturally there will be no need to worry about bad debts, bad debts, and karma. entangled.
This approach obviously doesn't work. There is more than one leader in the ancient universe. The leader Tongtian in the Conferred Gods wanted to do this and was beaten up by his brother. If the saint did this, he would probably be beaten by the leaders from all directions. Tiandaluo was beaten all over his head.
Then, there is only one other way left.

Shen Gongbao whispered, a spiritual light flickered in his eyes, and for a moment, he seemed to have caught something.
Based on the Yuanyang Realm, by inferring cause and effect, we can glimpse a trace of the mystery under the fog of the Great Tribulation of the Gods, and reveal the secrets under the heavy curtains.
Why did Western religion evolve into Buddhism, why Hinayana Buddhism evolved into Mahayana Buddhism, and why the speaker of Daleiyin Temple was no longer two Western saints, but Sakyamuni Buddha.
If we continue to deduce it, how should Buddhism deal with it? Should the previous system of merit, virtue and aspiration repeat the same old path, or should it be reformed?
I heard Master Jingxin clasping her hands together and saying to her disciples with a compassionate look on her face: "Ascension to bliss and attainment of enlightenment. This is self-consciousness."
"Avalokiteśvara Bodhisattva is of great mercy and compassion. He rides the waves of mercy to save all sentient beings. The path he follows is not only for self-consciousness, but also for other people's self-consciousness, and even the perfection of other people's self-consciousness."
"The Bodhisattva's first aspiration is based on the supreme path. I am a Buddha. This is called Bodhicitta."
"What is bodhicitta?" Nun Huiming blinked and asked curiously. She had never learned this kind of Buddhist teaching.
"Rely on contemplating the Buddhas, observing the faults of the body, holding back all sentient beings with compassion, and seeking the ultimate fruit through contemplation of the four conditions to develop bodhicitta."
Master Jingxin smiled slightly and said: "In other words, there are four kinds of hearts. The driving force for transcending lives is the great compassion; having goals is the magnificent desire; there is the great wisdom to transcend lives, the supreme wisdom heart; and the eternal and endless heart. Great perseverance, great diligence.”
“The journey between Mahayana practitioners’ determination to practice and attainment of Buddhahood is a long one. In addition to self-cultivation and self-transcendence, it is also an important task to help all sentient beings.”
"We in the Purity Sect practice the Bodhisattva Way and take it as our duty to save all sentient beings. If we fail to do it in one life, we will do it in ten lives. If we fail to do it in ten lives, we will do it in a hundred lives."
"Thousands of lives, thousands of lives, he will eventually become a Bodhisattva on the tenth level and develop bodhicitta. He will have perfect enlightenment and immeasurable merits and will become a future Buddha."
Jingxin's master-disciple exchange of words completely filled in the last piece of the territory and gave Shen Gongbao a profound enlightenment.
The four great bodhisattvas, compassion, aspiration, conduct, and wisdom, are the Mahayana practice of Buddhism.
Starting from the Great Merciful and Great Compassionate Guanshiyin Bodhisattva, we set goals, practice with the supreme wisdom of the Great Wisdom Manjushri Bodhisattva, and then practice with the Great Practicing Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, and finally fulfill the great wish of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva.
If it doesn't work in this life, then ask for the next life.
With Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva as the trust, we can open up the six paths of reincarnation, carry out the iteration of the industry of heaven, Shura, humanity, animals, evil ghosts and hell, and achieve a logically perfect closed loop.
Now, merit and karma are completely separated. Merits are in the Pure Land, and karma is in reincarnation.
"It's really a big deal."
Shen Gongbao looked at the two masters and disciples Jingxin, as if he saw all the Buddhas in the ten directions and three realms behind them, and couldn't help but sigh: "You can see a leopard through a tube."
The ancient world radiates to all realms, transmits personal information, and transforms the void.
When the void universe receives the information from the Lord of the Prehistoric World, it will get close to the Prehistoric World, evolve various paradoxical events on the Prehistoric Time Axis, and continuously learn, imitate, evolve, and upgrade.
Everything in Yuanyang Realm is part of the symbol of prehistoric times and represents a certain kind of future evolution.
Even though it was just a possibility, just a future, it still shocked Shen Gongbao.
"Bodhisattva, why do you feel this way?"
"Could it be that the disciple's understanding is wrong?!"
Master Jingxin asked in confusion. What he taught was ordinary Mahayana Buddhism without any problems.
"What you said is true."
Shen Gongbao smiled calmly and said: "I just thought of some of my Bodhisattva senior brothers and sisters."
"May I ask which Bodhisattvas they are?"
Master Jingxin's heart was filled with fear, and she immediately bowed and worshiped.
"Cihang, Manjusri, and Samantabhadra."
Shen Gongbao looked strange and said: "After all, you Purity Sect are really my juniors, and you are destined to enter the Taoist court."
Three of the four great Bodhisattvas in Buddhism are the Immortal Yuxu.
