Peeves is really capable of playing tricks to a certain extent.
Since the birth of Peeves, except for the era when the Big Four directly served as school leaders, basically no one has been able to control Peeves. Even in 1876, the then administrator Rankolos Calpe wanted to take Peeves out of school. The ghost drives out of the castle and devises an ingenious trap. The trap consists of various weapons used as bait, and a huge bell that is cast with various containment spells. And when Peeves gets into the right position, the bell jar will fall down and catch him.
But everything didn't go according to plan. Peeves easily exploded the bell jar and left with several scimitars, several crossbows, a large-caliber muzzleloader, and a small cannon. Peeves starts shooting randomly for fun, and the students' lives are threatened. As a result, the castle had to be evacuated for three days.
Three days later, Professor Eupracia Moore, the then principal, agreed to sign an agreement with Peeves, allowing him to hand over his weapons in exchange for more privileges, including: being allowed to roam the boys' bathroom on the first floor every week. A swim, giving priority to the moldy bread in the kitchen to throw away, and getting a new hat specially made for him by Ms. Bonabil.
This was the most disastrous and final attempt to get rid of Peeves. The incident also forced Mr. Calpe to retire early "for health reasons."
This is just one of the more exaggerated items in Peeves's full of misdeeds.
For centuries, Peeves rarely messed with current professors, and he was even less willing to deal with the headmaster. Of course, the premise is that these people have not really turned against Peeves.
But Peeves can really use the castle keepers and students as objects of his own amusement.
And when they faced Peeves, they basically wouldn't cause any substantial harm to him.
But now, Luke wants to find Peeves, but the arrogant Peeves actually hides, afraid to see him.
Luke really didn't know what to say. I just don't know whether Peeves was able to sense his position in advance and then avoid it, or whether he simply found a place to hide.
So Luke took a deep breath and calmed down. He asked many people along the way, but none of them had seen Peeves. This means that it is most likely the latter.
But the opponent is a ghost and cannot be displayed on the Marauder's Map. As for the familiarity with the castle. Not even Dumbledore dared to say that he was more familiar with Hogwarts than Peeves.
His search was like looking for a needle in a haystack.
"Can I just squat in front of the cafeteria?"
Luke muttered.
"Meow!"
Suddenly a cat meowed in my ears.
Luke recognized Booker's voice, and sure enough, when he lowered his head, he found Booker squatting at his feet at some point.
"What's wrong?"
Luke asked as he popped him off the ground and touched his head.
"Meow meow!"
Booker stretched out his paw and pointed to the left.
"Follow your instructions?"
"Meow~"
Booker's face showed human confidence. Luke frowned, but soon relaxed.
"Okay, let's go!"
With that said, he walked in the direction Booker pointed.
Under Booker's instructions, Luke jumped up and down in the castle, climbed through windows and climbed walls. Luke looked at the narrow platform less than twenty centimeters below his feet, and then at Booker's shadow leading the way leisurely in front of him, and suddenly felt that his mind was still a little too naive.
"Why do I think that a cat walks on a path that normal people can walk..."
After walking through a long, strange terrain, Luke finally returned indoors.
He looked at Booker and prayed in his heart that Booker wouldn't drill a hole or something. At the very least, there must be a door next to the hole.
Fortunately, his expectation did not come true, and Booker did not lead him into the hole. Instead, he led him to stop in front of a wall.
This place seemed like a remote and dark corridor. It was close to the end of the castle. Looking around, there was no sign of anyone.
Luke didn't push either. Anyway, he was already prepared to return without success, so even if it was a dead end here, he could accept it.
But obviously, Booker will not bring him here for no reason.
Booker bowed on the ground, then jumped suddenly, jumped up high, and slapped his claws on a stone brick roughly located at Luke's chest.
Then, there was a crisp sound of the collision of bricks and stones.
Luke looked at the wall in front of him and slowly opened it, revealing a downward staircase.
This is a route not shown on the Marauder's Map.
This is normal. After all, the producers, James Potter and others, had only stayed at Hogwarts for seven years. Although they explored a large part of Hogwarts, it was obviously impossible to understand all the secrets of the castle.
Luke didn't hesitate much. He knew clearly that the Booker in front of him was still Booker, and he was not controlled by any spell. So it was impossible for a normal Booker to harm him, so he was naturally quite calm.
Going down the steps, it didn't take long for a small door to appear in front of Luke.
Outside the door, Luke heard Peeves' wailing.
"Ahhh! Why does that kid from the Gaunt family look so weird! Now he is still looking for me! I don't even want to trouble you, but you are still looking for trouble for me!"
"Really! As expected of the descendant of that old monkey Salazar! As expected of having the same talent as Godric that dead octopus!"
"How can the ghost accept the combination of two troublesome spirits?"
Luke never expected that Peeves would give Luke such a big surprise before he even entered the door.
Booker stayed behind Luke, with no intention of going any further.
Who knows if there will be conflicts in the future, he is just a harmless little kitten. How unfair it is to be affected by Chi Yu all of a sudden.
Thinking this, Booker simply sat down on the spot, and then began to lick his paws. His eyes were fixed on Luke who was walking towards the door.
Luke walked quietly, trying not to alert Peeves. He can run through walls.
And just when Luke was about to break in. Suddenly, a figure with long black hair jumped out of the door in front of him. He had a pair of small, energetic heads with somewhat sinister black eyes.
Half of his orange bow tie was exposed. The hat covered with bells was almost touching Luke's chest.
One person and one ghost looked at each other.
Peeves turned and ran. But I quickly felt a strong sense of crisis.
"Turn around and look at me."
Behind him was the cold voice of the Gaunt kid.
He turned around stiffly and saw that the kid was holding a very familiar wand in his hand.
Luke felt excited now with the Slytherin wand in his hand. It felt like Booker had met Scabbers.
"You know, this thing can teach you a lot of lessons." Luke looked at the funny ghost with a serious face, "Now, I have something to ask you."
