After the door opened, Professor McGonagall walked out of the door and thanked Hagrid briefly. Her eyes began to search among the crowd.
Fortunately, her goal is more visible and more proactive.
The first time Luke saw Professor McGonagall, he smiled and nodded to her as a greeting. Professor McGonagall seemed to have let go of a big stone in her heart when she saw Luke appear here with all his beard and tail.
Then she led the students directly along the stone road towards a hut there.
On the way, they vaguely heard the noisy voices in the hall separated by a wall.
The moods of many students who had calmed down became tense again.
But Hermione was more curious this time, so she didn't feel too nervous.
"Do you know that professor?"
She just noticed that several wizard children seemed to be in awe of the tall black-haired witch leading the way. Apparently they had heard about the witch either from their parents or from their older siblings.
And obviously the comments they gave were not gentle and peaceful.
"Professor McGonagall, Vice-President of Hogwarts, Head of Gryffindor, Transfiguration Professor, Quidditch and Cat Lover."
Luke looked at Hermione and continued: "Strict and responsible professor, believe me, you should get along more harmoniously."
Luke believed that Professor McGonagall must have been as smart and sharp as Hermione, but also courageous and impulsive.
Hermione nodded seriously, then looked at Professor McGonagall's back.
After a while, they walked into the empty small room. The room was crowded and everyone was rubbing shoulders. Only then did Luke realize that Hermione's hand was still pinched on his sleeve.
So he made a stretching movement and pulled his sleeve out of Hermione's hand.
Hermione glanced at Luke but said nothing.
Professor McGonagall glared at Luke, who was standing in front of the team. After all, everyone looked nervous and formal. It felt like it when Luke came here. If he didn't cheer up, he would fall asleep.
Luke gave a sheepish smile and then returned to his normal posture.
"Welcome to Hogwarts, the opening party is about to begin..."
Professor McGonagall began the annual explanation of the Sorting Ceremony. Each of the little wizards cheered up and listened carefully to every word Professor McGonagall said, for fear that they would miss something during the subsequent ceremony. You get embarrassed, or you get assigned to a college you don't like.
"In a few minutes, the sorting ceremony will be held in front of all the teachers and students of the school. I suggest that you tidy up and be energetic while waiting."
Her eyes searched Neville's inappropriate cloak and the dirt on Ron's nose. In the process, Harry tried desperately to smooth his hair. Finally, her eyes fell on Luke.
Luke was deliberately lazy when dressing himself up, instead of being serious. So his cloak slid down a little too much, and his collar was a little uneven.
So Professor McGonagall took action directly, untied his cloak, tied it again, and then helped him adjust the collar.
With one last glare at him, Professor McGonagall turned and left the room.
Luke felt this serious and restrained feeling, and was somewhat uncomfortable with it.
Ron, who was following Luke and Hermione, looked at Luke in shock. If he hadn't known that the Gaunt family was not related to Professor McGonagall, he would have doubted whether Professor McGonagall was Luke's biological elder. It has to be something very close.
After all, judging from the information he got from his brothers, Professor McGonagall was a good teacher and cared about his students. But she rarely showed special concern for a particular student. Unless this student is particularly good at Quidditch.
Of course, this was what Fred told him, so he wasn't sure that it was true.
If Ron knew that Luke and Professor McGonagall were not related, then Hermione, who didn't know, had already begun to become suspicious.
"Don't think too much about it. Professor McGonagall is my admission guide. We get along very well, so she does take care of me a bit."
Luke felt the weird looks from the three people around him and said with a helpless smile.
Booker in his arms also stretched out his head and said "meow" as a testimony to Luke.
Hearing the meow, Ron's arms squirmed. It looked like something had been disturbed.
Hermione didn't ask any more questions. In fact, she was a little nervous when things came to a close. So I started to adjust my breathing.
Harry had seen Luke and Professor McGonagall get along well with each other early on, so he could easily accept this kind of scene where the elders cared for the younger ones.
Of course, there was also the reason why Hagrid was so protective of him, which made him think that the teachers at Hogwarts were quite friendly. So although he is a little nervous now, he is not that exaggerated.
Luke felt a slight hint of pleasure and anticipation on Harry's body, and couldn't help but light a candle for him in his heart.
He didn't know that among the teachers he was about to have, two of them had not only a bad attitude towards him, but could even be said to be terrible.
One loves and protects him, but also hates him. Of course, it might be much better if Harry becomes Harry.
The other one, who seemed not to care much about him, actually wanted his little life.
People really can't help but sigh, being a savior is really a high-risk profession!
Just as his thoughts were racing, he also heard Ron's discussion about the sorting ceremony, and saw Harry's panic when he heard the words 'take a test'. It was obvious that he was quite unsure of his magical abilities.
Hermione heard the relevant information from Luke, so she didn't panic.
The ghosts swarmed in and made a fuss for a while amidst the astonishment of the freshmen. It was not until Professor McGonagall reappeared that they all walked away. It was as if they were just watching the fun.
"Now, get in single file and follow me."
Professor McGonagall led the nervous freshmen into the luxurious auditorium.
So all the freshmen almost unanimously expressed their admiration.
Thousands of candles floating in the air illuminated the auditorium, and the four long tables were filled with gold plates and goblets. Sitting at the upper table was a kind of faculty member.
Luke immediately saw the old man with white beard and hair, half-moon glasses, and blue eyes as clear as a boy's.
That is the Headmaster of Hogwarts and one of the most powerful wizards of our time, Albus Dumbledore.
At this time, Dumbledore seemed to feel his gaze and followed it.
