Although Prime Minister Zhuge's idea sounded very bad at first, Liu Xu thought about it carefully and suddenly discovered to his surprise that it didn't seem impossible.
Originally, there would never be a story about Zhuge Liang's character becoming a god in "The Romance of the Gods", because the story of "The Romance of the Gods" takes place in the Shang Dynasty, and no matter how random the plot is, it is impossible to include military commanders from the Three Kingdoms era.
Besides, in the future, will it be enough to only confer gods on the generals from the Three Kingdoms period?
What about the existing generals from the Chu and Han Dynasties? What about the generals from the Tang Dynasty, Ming Dynasty, etc. who will appear in the future? This cannot be treated as a one-time deal!
So at first Liu Xu instinctively rejected this suggestion. Of course, this rejection was based on Liu Xu copying the original work of "The Romance of the Gods".
But the question is, is it necessary to copy this book "The Romance of the Gods"?
Although Fengshen Yanyi is also very famous in China, apart from classical works such as the Four Great Classics, except for a few books, Fengshen Yanyi is the most famous and has also contributed many classic characters.
For example, characters such as Nezha, Yang Jian, Lei Zhenzi, Jiang Ziya, Shen Gongbao, etc. were all fleshed out through the Romance of the Gods. Take Nezha and Yang Jian for example. They both appeared in Journey to the West. Who can remember their stories in Journey to the West? The most familiar ones are from the plot of Fengshen Yanyi.
Especially Nezha, he is almost being used like Brother Monkey in later film circles.
Therefore, Fengshen Yanyi is actually relatively successful in terms of plot and character design, which is why it is loved by domestic audiences.
The greatest contribution of Fengshen Yanyi is that it provided the entire prehistoric mythology system for later, and this mythology system also contributed many classic novels to online literature.
Maybe many readers don't like the Honghuang mythology system and think it is too samey, because except for the first few novels, all subsequent Honghuangliu novels basically continue the same story.
Whether it's the Lich War, the Six Saints' canonization of gods, etc., the plot of the entire world must advance according to the context of the entire prehistoric mythology system. Even the protagonist has to follow this context, and it is difficult to violate the advancement of the entire main line.
And this is where the ancient mythology system shines. This proves that the structure of this system is very complete, and the behavioral logic of all the main characters can withstand polishing and carving.
What's more important is that the prehistoric mythology system has perfectly absorbed many Chinese classical myths.
Before the emergence of the prehistoric mythology system, Chinese mythology stories were basically scattered, each with its own story. There was no main thread that could connect these stories together, and it was almost difficult to form a complete world view.
For example, we are all familiar with myths such as Pangu created the sky, Nuwa created humans, Fuxi performed Bagua, Gonggong hit the sky pillar, Nuwa mended the sky, Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, Houyi shot the sun, etc.
Before the ancient mythology system came into being, these stories could not be connected together.
But after the emergence of the prehistoric mythology system, these Chinese myths were connected together by a complete series of story logic lines. Especially after countless authors filled in the gaps and added various settings, the entire world view has become almost flawless. It’s as real and credible as history.
This is why many authors, when writing Honghuangliu novels, can only follow the entire mythological system step by step, because it is just like history. Travelers can only make improvements in the torrent of history, and it is difficult to do so. Just smash the entire historical trend with one stick, otherwise the logic of the entire novel will completely explode.
The foundation of the entire prehistoric mythology system is the Romance of the Gods, which established the most basic framework of the prehistoric system. It was re-created by a certain author in later generations, followed by tens of thousands of authors in the morning. The richness of the Anhuang novels published eventually formed a huge system of Anhuang myths.
Liu Xu is also one of the senior fans. His favorite online novel is Honghuangliu. At the same time, he also combines Shan Hai Jing, Sou Shen Ji and other ancient mythological novels to define the world view of Honghuangliu. The enrichment and supplementation of them made them more closely related to ancient Chinese mythology, which gave Liu Xu a sense of accomplishment.
But it is precisely because of the descriptions of Honghuangliu and Fengshenyanyi that Liu Xu also knows very clearly that there are actually many very poorly written places in the original novel "Fengshenyanyi".
In other words, it is a logical contradiction.
The biggest problem is Shen Gongbao's "Fellow Taoist, please stay."
Anyone who is familiar with the plot knows that once Shen Gongbao says to a certain monk who intercepts the religion, please stay, that person will basically be on the list of gods, and his death will not be too miserable.
It can be said that the reason why so many people died in Jiejiao, almost the entire sect was dragged into robbery, and Shen Gongbao had at least 50% of the credit.
But here's the problem. If you look closely at Shen Gongbao's background, you will find that Shen Gongbao is actually a disciple of Chanjiao. He has been the disciple of Yuanshi Tianzun from the beginning to the end. Logically speaking, he should be at odds with the disciples of Jiejiao.
But as long as Shen Gongbao said, "Fellow Taoist, please stay," almost all the disciples of Jiejie sect obediently listened to Shen Gongbao's instigation, forgetting the instructions left by their own Tongtian leader: "Close the cave door tightly, recite the three volumes of Huang Ting quietly, throw yourself into the West, and be on the list of gods." There is a celebrity on it” warning.
After all, this warning is basically a prophecy. As long as you stay in the cave and don't go out, you can escape. But these people just forgot their master's words and all left with Shen Gongbao.
Regarding this point, the Honghuangliu novels of later generations provided corresponding supplements, saying that the world is filled with calamity at this time, and some monks will encounter broken heads, lose their wisdom and calmness, and come out to commit suicide.
But this is a supplement made by later novels, and there is no corresponding explanation at all in the original work of "Feng Shen Yan Yi".
In fact, to put it bluntly, the author of Fengshen Yanyi was too lazy to spend more energy on carving out the rationality of the plot, and simply used Shen Gongbao as a tool.
This kind of plot is okay at first, but once it is repeated too much, it will make people desperately want to complain.
In addition, the gods in "The Romance of the Gods" basically have no divinity. Under Ancestor Hongjun, including the six great saints, one by one, they are all old silver coins.
As for their disciples, except for a few who have protagonists written on their heads and are not good at doing dirty things, the rest of the disciples of the three religions are either sanctimonious bastards or simply rotten devils. .
It's ironic to say that the only person with a likable personality and personality is actually the leader of Tongtian.
Because only this saint thought about protecting his disciples from the beginning to the end. In the end, he even knew that there was a pit in front of him, but in order to avenge his disciples, he still stepped into the pit. In the end, he even pressed Zhu Xian 4 at the bottom of the box. The swords are all gone.
When it comes to the Four Swords of Zhu Xian, we have to mention another shortcoming of Fengshen Yanyi.
That is, this novel is not a fight between gods, but a fight between magic weapons. Except for a few fierce men who have become saints in the flesh, the other gods are not competing with their own magical skills at all, but with their own magic weapons.
Whoever's magic weapon is powerful, or whose magic weapon can restrain the opponent's magic weapon, will win. This makes people very speechless.
But then again, in fact, this seems very reasonable. After all, in future generations, you will be NB if you have nuclear bombs!
