There are also several water lilies in full bloom floating in the fish pond, and a few high-quality koi carps swimming and playing among the lotus leaves, forming a mini Chinese-style waterscape with the flowing water and green plants.
On the west side of the fish pond is a natural bluestone road leading indoors. To the east of the stone road is a small green lawn. The east courtyard wall is shared with the old lady’s house next door. The old lady’s house has planted many flowers, some of which have even climbed up. On the wall, Xu Yin simply planted a clump of purple bamboo. Instead of planting it directly in the ground, she used a large round-mouthed pot-bellied ceramic jar to make a purple bamboo bonsai. Prevent it from growing bigger and affecting the foundation of the house.
On both sides of the courtyard gate are several pots of beautiful cherry blossoms and viola in full bloom.
To the west of the fish pond, a resting platform was built, with an antiseptic solid wood tea table and small stone benches. You can enjoy tea and bask in the sun in winter, and enjoy the shade and watch the stars in summer.
Past the rest platform, it connects to the side yard, where groups of spice bonsais are arranged in an orderly manner. There are rare varieties, and there are also common varieties that are particularly beautiful in flowering period.
The bonsai pots are all custom-made by her own drawings, some with round mouths and big bellies, some with exquisite shapes, some with colorful colors, and some with plain colors. Each pot corresponds to a spice, all of which are unique and cannot be found in the outside market.
The backyard was mainly a tree and spice area. She had planned to transplant the spice trees from the beginning, but she was not satisfied with the saplings she found outside, so she simply replaced them with stock in the system warehouse.
After being soaked by the spiritual mist, these saplings were transplanted very smoothly. Within ten days after they were planted, new shoots sprouted and the growth was quite gratifying.
In the corner of the backyard, I built a cute little bird house in a log color. It is mainly for decoration. I haven’t considered raising birds yet.
But unexpectedly, the second week after the bird house was built, she came home and found two more birds in the yard.
I haven’t identified the specific species, but looking at their shiny feathers and beautiful beaks, I feel like they don’t look like wild birds in nature, and are probably domesticated.
But the two birds seemed to have recognized her bird house and stayed here. They flew back after a while.
Every day I peck the leaves on the spice tree or the grass seeds in the bonsai to eat. If I continue like this, I must not peck the newly planted trees and grass in the yard.
Xu Yin couldn't laugh or cry, so she had to spend 500 energy points to exchange for a bird food formula, made a can of nutritious bird food, and fed them regularly every day. When she went to school, she asked Dad Xu to feed her once when he came home.
Fortunately, these two birds seem to know not to poop randomly, and the bird poop is concentrated on the ground opposite the bird house.

Two sweet redwood trees were planted beside the building wall in the side yard.
It belongs to the Rosaceae family and has strong climbing ability. If planted this spring, it must have climbed to the third floor next spring. The bright and bright flowers will pour down from the heights along with the plant, forming a beautiful waterfall of flowers.
What’s special about this flower is that the flowers are bright and strong, but the fragrance is fresh and elegant. The combination of blooming red flowers and green branches and leaves gives people the warmth and romance of quiet time.
Xu Yin once used this flower to prepare a fragrance with beautiful color and elegant fragrance. It has always been one of the best in the spice industry with both good looks (beautiful) and ability (climbing vines).
To the north of the east courtyard wall, a black pepper plant and a green pepper plant were planted.
Black pepper can climb walls, and green peppercorns are shrubs and have thorns, so they are planted in corners.
To the south of them, a pergola was installed and two gourds were planted.
It can be eaten as a vegetable when it is young, and can be made into containers for spices when it is old.
From the front yard to the backyard, it’s not all lawn.
Natural bluestone is paved in it, so shoes will not get dirty even on rainy days.
On both sides of the stone slab, a group of bonsais are arranged from time to time. As you walk slowly, you will see scenery along the way.
It took Xu Yin four months to complete her coursework and decorate the courtyard bit by bit to look the way she wanted.
When the final design drawing was handed over to Professor He, he received his approval. He not only praised her for her intelligence in drawing inferences from one instance to another, but also gave her an additional task:
