On the 23rd, the weather was sunny with no wind and five clouds.

Early in the morning, everyone got up. After eating some big meat buns made by some of the villagers who stayed overnight, everyone hurried to the test flight site.

These days, except for those who are on duty at the test flight site, everyone else has been staying at the homes of villagers in villages not far away.

Although the accommodation conditions are relatively poor, the villagers are quite enthusiastic and the food is pretty good.

Today is the day of the test flight, so in addition to Wu Hao and the members of Zhao Hongzhe's research team, there are also some other helpers.

These people will be scattered at various observation points within a radius of dozens of kilometers in order to observe and record first-hand data.

In addition, they have installed cameras on nearly a hundred drones to record the flight attitude of the entire fleet in multiple directions.

In addition, the research team also relied on the advantages of the military services to apply for relevant UAV reconnaissance assistance from the Air Force. During their testing, they will observe and record the flight test process of the entire UAV cluster from the air.

Of course, that's not all. There is also a mobile radar unit on the ridge not far away, searching and detecting the flight data of the entire drone cluster.

In addition to helping record relevant data, it is also a targeted test. They also want to know what the status of such a high-density drone cluster is like in the radar. The entire test conditions can be described as very luxurious.

"Are you ready?" Zhao Hongzhe asked everyone while sitting under the tent.

"Everything is ready and can start at any time!" As the on-site chief dispatcher, Gao Feihang replied loudly.

Zhao Hongzhe waved his hand and said: "Then let's get started!"

"All departments are getting ready, the 'Crazy Bee' system is activated, the drones are activated, and networking begins!"

"Report from the launch site, all drones have been started and are in good condition!"

"The connection is successful and the upload of the 'Kangfeng' system has begun."

"The system has been uploaded and started to load. 10%, 20%, 30%... 100%, the system has been loaded and started to restart."

"After the restart is completed, the data shows that a total of 3,482 drones are in normal condition and 12 are faulty. Within the allowable failure rate of one percent, the next step can be taken."

After hearing this, Gao Feihang looked at his teacher, and Zhao Hongzhe nodded lightly at him.

Gao Feihang took a breath, and then continued to issue orders: "Attention all departments, the drone is about to be released.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1, let go! "

"Report from the launch site, the first unit of drone has started launching!"

When everyone gathered in the control center heard this, they all picked up the telescopes they had already held in their hands and started looking.

I saw a drone launcher placed on the ridge in the distance and began to rapidly launch white drones outwards.

A drone was ejected and then quickly flew into the distant airspace.

At the same time, a new order came from the command and control center: "The drone swarm begins to assemble in airspace three!"

As the order was issued, a satellite map appeared on the large display in front of everyone. Some small blue dots appeared on the map and were moving. This was the flight trajectory data sent back by the drone cluster.

It took about ten minutes for more than 3,000 drones to be launched, and then gathered into a huge fleet in airspace three. These drones are like a flock of densely flying birds, hovering in the sky.

Through the telescope and the high-definition video images transmitted from the observation point below Airspace 3, everyone can clearly see the flight status of the entire fleet.

"Report, the comprehensive electro-optical reconnaissance data of the Air Force drones has been transmitted."

"Get it on the big screen!" Zhao Hongzhe waved his hand.

Under the gaze of everyone, video images captured by high-altitude drones appeared on the big screen.

I saw a huge group of drones circling in an elliptical shape in a relatively open valley.

"Zoom in!"

Zhao Hongzhe pointed at the screen and said to everyone: "Look, the entire structure of the drone cluster is still very complete, and the spacing within the cluster is also well controlled."

"It's not bad, and all the data performed well!" Yang Xuehai stared at the data on several screens and said with a smile.

"Then let's start the next project. Let's try to test a few more today." Zhao Hongzhe waved his hand and said with satisfaction.

What could make him more happy at this moment than the preliminary results of this project? Thinking of this, he couldn't help but glance at Wu Hao sitting beside him, and the corners of his mouth could not help but turn up.

"The next test content is to simulate a cluster autonomous attack test."

As the command to fly high was issued, the controller immediately marked five points on the satellite map. Each point was different in size and distance.

As the command was uploaded to the drone cluster, five teams were separated from the entire fleet. Through monitoring information data, Wu Hao and others can clearly see the number and flight direction of these separated drone teams.

The number of these five squadrons varies, ranging from thirty or forty aircraft to one or two hundred aircraft. Based on the size of these marking points, the five drone teams were also selected accordingly.

All of this is controlled independently by the drone cluster, and the control center just issues a few target points to the cluster.

Bang bang bang bang...

Everyone clapped when they saw this. The fact that the drone cluster could do this meant that their technology was more than half successful.

"Lift the attack mission and order these five teams to fly to Airspace No. 7 to assemble!" Zhao Hongzhe ordered.

"yes!"

As the five target points on the map disappeared, the five drone teams began to change directions and flew towards Airspace No. 7.

"The main cluster of drones began to conduct terrain matching and autonomous route selection tests."

This test content requires the UAV cluster to achieve low-altitude or ultra-low-altitude slightly low flight with the support of satellite navigation and digital terrain matching navigation technology. And choose the flight route independently according to the terrain.

This is a bit like the function of automatically planning navigation routes in the navigation software we use, but the difficulty is not at the same level.

The automatic route planning in navigation software is based on the selection of existing road routes. In other words, there are already existing routes, and the navigation software just selects a route with a shorter distance, better road conditions, and no congestion.

The technology in the drone cluster is to plan N alternative routes in areas where there are no routes. You also need to consider factors such as terrain, distance, and climate information to make the best choice.

As the order was issued, the circling drone cluster on the satellite map on the screen turned into a long queue and began to fly towards the marked area. At the same time, several planned plans appeared on the map, as well as a flight route it chose independently.
