There are a lot of people coming to Wudang, after all, it is

One of the "Seven Sects", although it is not ranked very high, the foundation is there! At this moment, they saw a young man walking directly towards them. They couldn't help but look at each other, a little confused. They didn't seem to have such a person in mind?

At this moment, Mo Xiaoxiao, who was wearing a plain white Taoist robe, suddenly widened his eyes. He excitedly pulled a young man wearing an indigo Taoist robe next to him and said, "Senior brother, look who that is!" The young man was naturally Feng Yichen. He took a closer look and the memories of the past came to mind. He hurried forward to greet him. As he walked, he said, "Brother Lin Yan, it's been a long time!" Mo Xiaoxiao followed closely. , patted Lin Yan on the shoulder, and said with a smile: "We haven't seen each other for so long, and we have grown into adults!" Lin Yan was also very happy to meet them again, and said: "Brother Feng, Sister Xiaoxiao, long time no see!" Thinking that you are Wudang disciples." Feng Yichen was also a little embarrassed at this time. Although it was normal for him to walk around the world without revealing his feet, but when old acquaintances met again and pointed it out in person, he was still a little embarrassed and could only respond: " Ah, yes, Xiaoxiao and I both come from Wudang. I didn’t explain our origins to you at the time, so don’t mind!” Lin Yan waved his hands and said, “Hey, Brother Feng, what did you say? It's the right thing to do, you're worrying too much!" At this time, Mo Xiaoxiao said with some uncertainty: "Are you a disciple of the academy?" Girls are more attentive, and she keenly noticed the direction Lin Yan was coming from. But he didn't really see Lin Yan coming out of the academy's team, so he asked this question.

Feng Yichen also looked at Lin Yan in surprise at this time. The name of the academy was so loud that he never expected that Lin Yan was a student there.

But it doesn't look like him at that time. Confucian disciples have a kind of bookishness, but Lin Yan didn't have it at that time.

Of course, another point is that Lin Yan was traveling alone at that time, and his skills and methods could not be seen as coming from a great religion.

However, it would make sense if he deliberately hid it. In this case, he was not the only one hiding his heel. Feng Yichen instantly felt much more balanced.

This is the right thing to do. Thinking back to when they were dealing with the nagging An Daoquan, none of them were opponents together. Only Lin Yan had been able to hold on to the former for a long time. It was not like a casual cultivator at such a young age could do it. thing.

However, Lin Yan's next sentence denied his idea: "I was admitted to the academy later, and I was not a disciple of the academy at that time!"

"Huh?" Feng Yichen was surprised. They went there with some mission, but accidentally discovered Lin Yan, a little alien.

In view of his outstanding performance, it is natural to think that his identity is not simple. But now he has been denied by Lin Yan. It seems that his strength and talent can be re-evaluated!

Lin Yan asked Xiang Feng Yichen and said:

"Brother Feng, are you here to compete?" Feng Yichen was pulled back from his thoughts by Lin Yan and said:

"Oh, we are here to watch the game this time, and there are naturally other senior brothers participating in the game. I am ashamed to say that I just broke through to the Tongmai realm a few months ago, and I am in the process of consolidating it. This little strength is not as good as the others. Zongwu made a fool of himself on the field of competition."

"By the way, congratulations on your admission to the academy. You will definitely have a bright future in the future!" He didn't ask what Lin Yan was doing here. He thought he was just here to watch and study.

After all, in terms of real level, Lin Yan was still slightly inferior to him. He would never have imagined that Lin Yan had grown so fast. Not only was he ahead of him, but he was far beyond him.

Since the other party didn't ask, Lin Yan wouldn't rush to show off. It was better to keep this kind of thing low-key.

After a few words of greeting, Lin Yan didn't want to stay too long in the other sect's team, so he left, just making an appointment to meet again.

After returning to the academy team, Mingya stepped forward and asked:

"Xiao Yanzi, do you know him?" Lin Yan smiled and said:

"Do you still remember what I told you about my previous travels? They were the ones I met at the 'Huangquan Inn', but I didn't know they were Wudang disciples at the time." Ming Ya then understood. She naturally heard what Lin Yan said It turned out that the person who had this incident was an old acquaintance.

At this moment, the sound of the bell on Lingshan Mountain was loud and distant, reaching the ears of everyone present.

At the same time, the envoys appeared again to guide people from various sects to visit Lingshan. Although Lin Yan does not have any religious beliefs, and he does not believe in Buddha, because he feels that

"Don't cultivate this life, cultivate the next life" is an escapist idea, which is quite negative! He only believes in his own strength. He is strong and invincible. This is the ultimate dream!

If you blindly escape, isn't this denying the current world and the meaning of your own life? If you practice like this, what else can you do to practice?

But, it’s still okay to go up the mountain and gain some insights. It just so happens that he also wants to see what the legendary Buddhist holy land is like!

In fact, people from various sects don't really want to go to worship or anything, and more people still have the same idea as Lin Yan.

There were so many people attending that it would be impossible to accommodate them all at once. Therefore, the envoys took each sect to worship in turn, and the order was naturally the same.

"Three religions, seven sects and twelve sects" take priority, after all, their status in the world lies here! In addition, there are many small and medium-sized sects, and they can only feel aggrieved and move back, but these people have no complaints.

If I can’t, I really don’t dare! Xuantian Sect, Academy, Wudang Mountain and other sects went up the mountain in sequence, with a certain distance between each team so that there would be no conflict between them.

Lin Yan followed the team all the way, and as far as he could see, there were all splendid temples, large and small, and there were so many of them.

The roads that everyone walks on are all paved with neat marbles, and golden blankets are spread on them, which is neat and gorgeous.

They did not enter the temples along the way and headed straight to Lingshan Mountain. But from the door, you can also see the monks in the temple reciting scriptures, very devoutly.

In addition, there are also numerous pagodas. The smaller pagodas are carved with the treasures of the Buddha and many venerables for believers to worship; the large pagodas are said to also enshrine the relics of eminent monks and great virtues, which light up at night. Shining with golden light, it was cited as a miracle.

The academy group was actually not far from Xuantian Sect, and everything they did could be seen clearly. It should be said that Xuantian Sect is worthy of being the leader in Taoism, and he has always been a person with eyes higher than his head.

For these Buddha statues, it is not necessary to pay homage, not even to take a second look. They went up the mountain just to give face to the Buddhist sect, to show an attitude on behalf of the Taoist sect, and to do a superficial job!

Besides, the differences between the three religions were about to come to light, and the relationship between them and this group of monks was not very good. At this moment, they just wanted to complete this scene as soon as possible so that they could return to their residence to rest.

The same is true for academies. Scholars do not believe in ghosts and gods, and Buddha is too far away for them!

What's the use of talking about so many mysterious things? What they pursue is to do well in the present. Therefore, some people will say that scholars are too realistic and do not understand these Buddhist teachings.

However, scholars understand one truth, that is

"Empty talk harms the country." These monks are not engaged in production. They just know what to say every day.

"Educate the world"? Please, people are living a good life, why should you be used to educate them? If you have this time, it is better to carry a few more sacks or do a few more businesses to improve your family's life.

The Buddha Sect has grown rapidly over the years like weeds, spreading to all parts of the Yuan Realm, and they are almost everywhere in the Nine Realms.

Aren’t those solemn temples built with the hard-earned money donated by believers? But these so-called

"Rescuing people in distress"

What have the "living Bodhisattvas" done for those believers? Well, tell them to be content with the status quo and accept their fate, no matter how miserable, no matter how unfair, no matter how disgusting.

Then he said that you have to endure it. This is a test given to you by God. After passing it, you will be rich and happy in the next life.

Ah, there is nothing more ridiculous than a group of people who are not involved in production educating hard-working people on how to face life!

Therefore, scholars have always had a bad impression of Buddhism, but the monarchs of various countries do not exclude Buddhism from developing believers in their territories, because these teachings coincide with their ideas and they are happy to see it!

It is really not easy to climb this spiritual mountain. Fortunately, everyone is very human and has strong vitality, so a little fatigue will naturally be nothing.

After a period of journey, everyone finally reached the top of the mountain. The peak has been flattened, revealing a huge square, on which stands an extremely huge Buddhist palace, with two auxiliary halls on the left and right.

When he saw it for the first time, Lin Yan had only one feeling in his heart, and that was shock! Then, he couldn't help but start thinking about how much gold and silver it would cost to build these palaces, and how many believers would need to donate.

Don’t think that when it comes to gold and silver, people originally live in the secular world. In the final analysis, gold and silver are nothing more than measurement tools. They serve as a link for the exchange of labor results between people.

In ancient times, people knew how to exchange what they earned from their own labor for the income of others.

However, I don’t know since when, there have been some people who are not involved in production, but have stood on top of these workers.

They shout and do things, and they seem to think that they are gods and should be enshrined on the altar.

However, since everyone was born in ten months of pregnancy, who is more noble than others? When Lin Yan approached the Buddhist palace, he stretched out his hand and touched it, and then he was surprised to find that the wall was actually coated with gold powder. This simply subverted his imagination. I am afraid that the palace is far from this!

He even thought that this brick alone might be enough to feed an ordinary family for several years. I may be eating chaffy vegetables, or even have no food to eat, but I donate my only savings to the temple to seek blessings from the Buddha, praying for transformation in the next life, and ushering in a different life.

Foolish people, foolish people! Do you think that the Buddha will come to you one day and tell you that because you have dedicated your faith to the Buddha, the Buddha will free you from the sea of suffering?

Wake up, the sea of suffering is boundless, and turning back may not necessarily lead to the shore! Rafting on it, you and I are fighting to get across!

Maybe what you are waiting for is not Buddha after all, but the God of Death! However, this can be regarded as getting what I wanted. After all, I have died a hundred times, and I am out of the sea of suffering!

If you hate this world, then the world is purgatory! If you could discover the beauty around you, where wouldn't it be heaven?

It's a pity that the mediocre people in the world often can't see through this. Maybe they don't want to believe it, work hard, and use their own hands to change it.

Therefore, there is a Buddha and a group of enlighteners in the world to save these ignorant people. After entering the Buddhist palace, I realized that the splendor of the outside was far less than what was inside.

All the corridors he walked through were covered with crystals of various colors, shining with dazzling brilliance. On the walls on both sides, there were hollow grids, and inside were the golden bodies of the venerables from all sides.

Going further, you pass by a courtyard landscape with an artificially dug pond in which many koi carp are raised.

In the Northern Desert where drinking water is so difficult, it’s interesting that you still have time to do this! Moreover, this is just because the academy group came from this corridor, but in fact it is definitely more than this!

Moving forward again, after passing through several corridors, the group finally arrived at the innermost level of the Buddhist Palace, which was an extremely solemn hall called

"The Palace of All Demons"!

"All things" means all-encompassing,

"Subduing demons" refers to the ability to subdue demons, which means that the Buddha can dominate the world. There are three giant Buddha statues enshrined in the main hall. Lin Yan once learned from classics that these are the statues of the Buddha.

"Three worlds of life" means

"Buddha of the Past"

"The Living Buddha" and

"Future Buddha". These three giant Buddhas are about ten feet tall, with majestic appearance, looking down at all living beings with a solemn and majestic posture.

Standing under the Buddha, people will unconsciously feel a sense of fear and a little more awe.

This also shows that the Buddha is aloof and overlooks all living beings in the world. Therefore, we must pay homage to Buddha, pay homage, revere, and pray... On the wall behind these three giant Buddhas, there are a large number of Buddhist niches, numbering in the thousands.

Among them are statues of Buddhist venerables with different expressions, densely packed, shining with golden light, like stars in the sky.

At this time, Lin Yan had a question in his mind: Could this Buddha statue be made of pure gold? When the Buddhist monks talked about the golden body and the golden body, they thought it was a sign of respect, but in fact they were just the remains of eminent monks and great virtues.

However, this is obviously a little different now. It is obviously artificial. After all, who has seen a giant more than ten feet tall?

Looking at the white jade floor under his feet, Lin Yan felt that his credibility had soared. Eighty percent of the Buddha statues in this hall were really made of pure gold!

Thinking of this, Lin Yan couldn't help but smacked his lips and thought:

"What a generous move!" With this kind of cultivation, you are not afraid of thieves coming in and stealing it in the middle of the night. But then he thought: Well, thieves don't dare to come, they can't defeat these Buddhist disciples, in every sense of the word!

Naturally, it is impossible for people from the Xuantian Sect to actually worship the Buddha, and the same goes for the Academy. In fact,

None of the "seven sects" bowed their heads when they saw the Buddha. If that really happened, Lin Yan would suspect that either he was crazy or the world was crazy!

But the sects behind them are not so reserved and tough. I don’t know if they really believe in Buddhism or if they are intimidated by the other party’s power.

Some of the "Twelve Sects" worshiped Buddha statues. But they were a little reserved and just bowed with their hands clasped together.

When it was the turn of the small and medium-sized sects at the end, there were many tricks. Some bowed, some knelt down, and there was even a family led by the head of the family. They were more happy to see the giant Buddha than to see his biological parents. He bowed his head directly and couldn't hold it back.

People said it was time to leave, but he didn't. He went up and hugged the Buddha's feet and refused to let go. In the end, even the Buddhist disciples couldn't stand it any longer, so several people separated and forcibly pulled him away.

Such and such, I don’t even know what to say! In the end, we can only attribute him to excessive piety!

The one who bowed laughed at the one who kowtowed, and the one who kowtowed looked down on the one who hugged the Buddha's legs and didn't let go. Anyway, he just continued to despise him.

But they all forgot one thing. They came here on behalf of the sect, and the moment they bowed their heads, they were already convinced.

Such behavior is not

"Laugh at the fifty steps and laugh at the hundred steps"? What is there to be proud of? Perhaps this is the differential treatment brought about by different statuses.

The "Seven Sects" are just here to go through the motions, but no one dares to look down on them. And those small and medium-sized sects need to be respectful to the Buddha. Although they may not really believe in the teachings of the Buddha in their hearts, they have to show it on the surface.

This is the reality of the world, and at the same time, it is also the tragedy of the martial arts world! Because the bottom line for warriors to persist is gone, but they learn to flatter, they lose their backbone and suffer from

"Cartilage"! But no matter what, this cutscene is over, and now it’s time to enter the theme and start this martial arts competition!

The martial arts competition led by the three religions will naturally not be that simple, and the experience of daily martial arts competitions in the ring is not very useful.

If that were the case, the death rate in the past would not be so high. After all, who would dare to kill someone in public in public?

Take this martial arts competition as an example. The venue was chosen in a dangerous area in the Northern Desert, known as

"Sand Grave". And all the disciples from various factions participating in the martial arts competition will enter and fight based on their own abilities. All disciples who enter will be required to wear a string of Buddhist beads. This serves as a voucher. Once it is taken away, they will be disqualified. There is no limit to the means.

To successfully enter the next stage, you must collect at least five strings of beads. Then how did you get these beads? It's impossible for others to give them to you, so you can only steal them!

If you rob someone else, they will naturally want to take it back, so the only solution is to maim or even kill them. This is the root cause of the high mortality rate.

To put it bluntly, this kind of martial arts competition is just like raising Gu. If you don't have enough strength, you will be used as a supplement for others, and you will lose your life in vain.

And every year, a large number of disciples use their blood and even their lives to explain this simple truth. The venue for this martial arts competition is in a desert. The reason why it is called a dangerous place is because in addition to the harsh environment, there are also many unknown crises hidden in it.

Moreover, all participants in the martial arts competition are not allowed to rely on external means of transportation, which means that it is impossible for you to ride a sand camel or a sand boat to compete.

If that's the case, why bother having fun? We might as well hold a racing competition! Of course, if you can tame a wild sand camel after entering the venue, or directly build a sand boat, then you are considered powerful and the rules cannot restrict you.

But, is this really possible? It would be extremely difficult for ordinary people to survive if they entered it.

Although these disciples participating in the martial arts competition are strong, their strength will be greatly reduced in this environment. In addition to adapting to the harsh environment, they also have to guard against attacks from various dangerous creatures in the desert. In addition, there are more terrifying threats. That's your opponent!

Under these multiple pressures, after a knockout round, there really may not be many people left! It has to be said that the Wubi Buddhist Sect has an advantageous location this time. After all, their disciples have lived here all year round. Not only do they know it well, they are at least familiar and adaptable to it. This will give them a great advantage.

And in the desert, water is extremely scarce. Although each disciple is assigned a water bag, if the martial arts competition continues for a long time, this bag of water will definitely not be enough. Such a development will inevitably trigger a new round of competition!

But no matter what, disciples from all sects still actively participated, and few backed down. After all, you have come here, let alone those vain efforts to win glory for the sect, fighting for yourself and striving for a beautiful future is the right way.

The key point lies in one

The word "fight" is used because nothing will be given to you by others for free. Everything needs to be fought for and snatched by yourself.

If you can grab it, it’s yours; if you can’t grab it, it’s your fault, so there’s no need to blame others!

"Xiao Yanzi, be careful!" Mingya said worriedly.

"Well, look at my performance!" Lin Yan didn't say anything.

Words like "It must be fine", because even he doesn't know what will happen after the martial arts competition starts. He can only protect himself as much as possible and achieve good performance, so that he can keep moving forward.

Then he and other students from the academy participating in the martial arts competition waited for the arrangements. This desert trial does not specify a confrontation format. In theory, everyone is an opponent, but there is no restriction on team formation.

In this way, disciples of the same sect will always spontaneously get together and form a small group, which is more beneficial for both confrontation and ensuring their own safety.

I don’t know if it is to make it more difficult for everyone. When entering this trial desert, they are not allowed to form a team in advance. Instead, they are all disrupted and allowed to enter from different directions.

As a result, it is not easy even for people of the same sect to join together. During this period of time, anything can happen, adding many variables. It’s really... good at playing!

Unfortunately, there was no other academy disciple in the direction where Lin Yan was assigned. After entering, it will be revealed whether he is a lamb to be slaughtered or a lone wolf hunting!

Entering this cemetery of sand, the martial arts competition officially begins!
