"Of course!" Zhu Su nodded.
"This world is composed of principles, qi, heart, yin and yang and five elements. No matter how profound and profound it is, it is always just empty talk."
"If you want to explore, you should not rely on the conjectures of those great scholars behind closed doors. Instead, you should connect with reality, understand, and discover."
"As for the method...hasn't my teacher taught you already?"
"Method?" Fang Xiaoru's eyes were still blank, but he suddenly understood: "'Bold assumptions, careful verification', you mean, science..."
"You can teach me!" Zhu Su smiled while stroking his hands. "The so-called scientists are those who study the principles of the world. You have seen it with your own eyes through experiments. Don't you already understand what light is and where force lies. What is pressure and what is velocity?"
"Aren't these the principles of the world? As long as we study science from generation to generation, one day we will understand all the thousands of principles in all things."
"By then, do those people still need to pretend to be mysterious about what this world is? Everything is already beyond doubt."
As if Fang Xiaoru was struck by lightning, his whole body suddenly became enlightened. Yes, whether it is Confucian Cheng Zhu, Lu Jiuyuan, etc., or Taoists, or figures in the Yin and Yang family, they all try to summarize what is the principle of the world starting from the conclusion.
First, it is determined whether the world is composed of "heart", "reason", "qi", or "destiny", "five elements", etc., and then it is bluntly introduced into all things in the world, trying to use various Such a mysterious and profound statement to prove the correctness of his thoughts.
As everyone knows, this approach itself is extremely ridiculous. If we don’t know the details, how can we deduce the conclusion? It's just a conclusion drawn up and then done behind closed doors, just by force.
Do they know there are seven colors of light? Do they know that the ground beneath their feet is a sphere? Do they know why the sun rises, the moon sets, and the Tengu eclipses the sun? What destiny and principles they talk about, have they ever seen it? What do destiny and destiny look like?
It's just relying on conjecture to guess and explain everything in the world. Why bother with such a statement?
Unlike science, one is one and two is two. It is rigorous and irrefutable. It’s ridiculous that I abandoned science and studied philosophy. It turns out that science is the real key to understanding the mysteries of the world!
When science is fully understood and studied thoroughly, all the principles in the world will naturally become as clear as a fire. Although this may take dozens or hundreds of generations. But the principles of the world are inherently complicated and complicated. Can we just use the word "qi" or "reason" to summarize and deceive people just because they are complicated and difficult to understand?
"Disciple has enlightened!" Fang Xiaoru's eyes flashed, and he stood up straight: "Please accept my bow!"
"Without my master's advice, I would have almost ended up in the treasure mountain and returned empty-handed!"
"Alas! All the Confucianism I learned in my previous life seems to be false and a waste of time!"
"An Neng said this!" Zhu Su scolded, "Wherever Confucianism exists, it also has its merits."
"In my opinion, the original Confucianism was to teach people morality, lead people to be good, and guide kings to benevolence. This is good learning, and it is complementary to science. It is also an inseparable part of our Chinese civilization. .”
"It's just that later people randomly misinterpreted it, or took it out of context, or used it in a false light, turning a good Confucianism into a 'Confucianism' that is inflexible and restricts the thinking of the world."
"If Confucius had known that Confucianism was now so bloated and barely resembled its original form, would he still admit that today's scholars are his disciples?"
Zhu Su said solemnly.
This is the "truth" that he finally realized after searching the mountains and seas in his room in an attempt to restore Confucianism, which is most suitable for building a powerful civilization.
That is: promote the original Confucianism, directly "format" Confucianism, and restore it to the way it was when it just left the factory!
You must know that most of the original Confucian ideas were actually not problematic. Confucius persuaded others not only with jealous fists, but also with his clear and upright values. In fact, many of the three views he embodied in the Analects of Confucius are universally applicable.
Occasionally there are one or two mistakes, but most of them are taken out of context and far-fetched by the so-called great scholars of later generations for their own selfish purposes.
As the so-called "repay evil with kindness", Confucius's original words were "Repay evil with kindness, how to repay kindness? Repay evil with straightness, repay kindness with kindness!" People directly rebuked the idea of "repaying evil with kindness", and bluntly said that evil deeds should be treated with justice and directness. Only by virtue can you repay with virtue.
Another example is "My parents are here, so I won't travel far away." Confucius's original saying is, "If you don't travel far away when your parents are around, you must have a good way to travel." You must plan in advance and arrange your parents well before you can travel far away. Rather than being foolish, loyal, foolish and filial and not allowed to leave even one step.
There are so many misinterpretations in the Analects of Confucius and so on. Even when Neo-Confucianism flourished, even Confucius's daily complaints could be extended to the universe and the great road, and a long list of so-called principles of heaven and earth were drawn out. Then it serves as evidence that the "sage" understands the truth.
(For example, "Only women and villains are difficult to raise." In fact, it was just because Confucius thought that Duke Linggong of Wei intended to rule the country with Confucianism, so he rushed to Weiguo excitedly. However, he discovered the purpose of Duke Linggong of Wei and his wife Nanzi. , He just used his reputation as Confucius to raise his stature and show off publicly. That's why Confucius complained angrily, "Only women and villains are difficult to raise." This emotional complaint has been widely criticized by later generations. It’s far-fetched, and it’s not about the laws of nature, the three cardinal principles and the five constant principles. From this we can see how outrageous the later Confucianism was.)
The "respecting Confucius and restoring ancient times" proposed by Zhu Su is to completely restore the original appearance of Confucianism, abandon the numerous far-fetched annotations and interpretations, and explore the original thoughts that Confucian classics want to express. This will not only completely eradicate the shortcomings of today's bloated "Confucianism", but also make Confucianism a kind of knowledge again. Together with science, one can explore the origin of the world and the other build spiritual civilization. One focuses on moral education and the other focuses on pragmatism.
In this way, Chinese wise men will no longer make the mistake of interpreting science with philosophy and treating science as a strange and unsophisticated science.
"That's it!" Fang Xiaoru was inexplicably surprised. "Apprentice understands."
"No longer listen or believe in the words of corrupt Confucianists who are pretentious and false, but explore the original intention of Confucius and understand the truth that the saint really wants to preach."
"Use Confucianism to uphold morality and cultivate one's character. As for understanding the outside world, leave it to science. This is what Confucianism should be like!"
"Today we know that even though all the people in the world claim to be Confucian, they are all pseudo-Confucian!"
"Only my master is a true Confucian!"
Fang Xiaoru was so crazy that he patted his thigh and praised loudly.
