The protagonist's character design may seem similar to Li Xia's at first. But in fact, there are only some common features, such as being handsome, strong, and powerful. These are the traits that I think most readers can relate to. After all, the sense of empathy is very important.
When I didn't open the book, I considered whether I would get tired of writing about being an emperor all the time. But after I chose the subject, I still felt that I wouldn't write that kind of auxiliary story about a counselor, so I just didn't care about it so much.
Then let’s distinguish Xue Bai and Li Xia in terms of literary and martial arts.
The Tang Dynasty was different from the Song Dynasty. There was no clear distinction between civil and military officials in the Tang Dynasty, so it was easier for civil servants to send military envoys outside. So the protagonist is taking the civil service route this time. If he wanted to fight for military power with swords and guns on the battlefield, he would easily die according to his force settings. This will not be explained in the chapter.
In addition, regarding the issue of identity, what I said is that Li Longji cannot recognize Xue Bai, and there is no other spoiler. If I write about someone who says, "Xue Bai, you look like so-and-so," I don't have to believe what the character says. A child who has grown up for ten years will generally not recognize it. Moreover, many of the characters in this book talk about people and ghosts.
When it comes to the reveal of the identity and the plot, I will do my best to tell it as straight as possible without giving it away. The key is that everything must serve the plot.
I think serving the plot is very important. When I write, the most important thing is the story.
For example, Li Jilan's historical materials did not say who her father was, so I set her as Li Hua's daughter, and the character was simpler; for example, in the case of Ye Wu Yi Xian, Yuan Jie did write those satirical poems, but it was definitely not Taking a group of people to cause trouble and writing it in front of everyone...I just wrote it to make it more intense.
