I am about to enter the third volume, and I have been reading theories related to science fiction, special relativity, general relativity, quantum theory, unified field theory, wave function, M theory, etc., which made me dizzy, and I only took a rough look. In a state of confusion.
I am still thinking about what is the appropriate technological level for Level 3 civilizations. I originally wanted to add the concept of dimensions, but after reading a bunch of theories, I realized that Level 3 civilizations are definitely not the only ones who can develop dimensions. Simply give up on the dimensions for now.
Logically speaking, it would be easier to write without these realistic laws or advanced concepts, but the tone of this book has been set, and I don't want to go beyond the scope of science fiction so hastily.
The most difficult part is the theory of relativity. There is no way to avoid it. If you avoid it, it will feel like it is no longer science fiction. Especially the constant speed of light and the effect of clock slowness and telescope are very reasonable when placed on the scale of the universe of tens of billions of years. In science fiction novels, the protagonist has a limited lifespan, so unless the protagonist is changed, it is difficult to write about a battle across galaxies.
The only way to go around it is to use wormholes, but the space that can be expanded is limited. Now we are at the stage where we don't know how to set it up.
I could have come up with 4,000 words by hard writing today, but I was unwilling to do so. It would have been too hasty in setting the tone and would have affected the direction of the subsequent plot.
After thinking about it, I decided to take a day off and think about the settings carefully.
