Satisfied, Dean put down his suitcase and pushed open the window of the master bedroom. Just as he was about to pack his things, he heard the welcome wind chime ringing at the door.
Knowing that this meant someone was visiting, Dean put down what he was holding and walked quickly to the first floor.
As soon as he opened the door, he quickly locked onto the man wearing a knight's military uniform outside the iron door.
The Southern Cross?
Dean was stunned when he saw the pattern on the military uniform.
Unexpectedly, after moving, the first visitor would be a famous knight, and the level would suddenly be much higher than when he was in District 6.
But what do the people from the legion do when they come to see him, an ordinary breeder?
Could it be that this is the tradition of buying a house in the 13th arrondissement?
He stepped forward with some doubts and opened the door for the knight.
"Hello, sir, I am Ryan, an elite knight of the Southern Cross Legion, and I am also your neighbor."
The tall, handsome man with blond hair gave Dean a neat knight's greeting.
"It's an honor to meet you, Knight Lane."
Not moved by the neighbor's emotional card to make up the numbers, Dean returned the favor with a polite smile.
"I came to visit you this time to find out something about Ms. Bella. We found out that she went to the hotel to see you in the middle of the night a few days ago. Could you please tell me what the two of you talked about?"
"no problem."
Dean nodded without pressure.
"That day during the day, I just went to the legion camp and selected three houses. One of them belonged to Ms. Bella. She came to me in the middle of the night and wanted me to buy her house, and it was best to complete the transaction as soon as possible. I didn’t think it was appropriate, so I didn’t agree.”
Taking out the investigation book and recording it, Ryan nodded and motioned for Dean to continue.
"It disappeared later, she left."
After spreading his hands, Dean ended the narrative simply and clearly.
"…Well, you are really neat and tidy."
Ryan, who had just finished writing the note, put away his pen, suddenly put on a more sincere expression, and made a friendship gesture to Dean.
"Get acquainted again. I'm your neighbor, Ryan."
The blond knight smiled heartily, and the feeling of distance immediately disappeared.
"If you don't mind, you can just call me Brother Ryan."
Dean couldn't help but marvel at this ability to change his face clearly between public and private.
After reacting, he quickly replied with the same friendship gift.
"Okay, Brother Ryan, I am your new neighbor Dean. You can call me brother or anything else. I am a breeder. Please take good care of me in the future."
After hearing Dean's response, the smile on Ryan's face suddenly became more sincere.
"Brother Dean, you're welcome! We are all neighbors, and we must take care of each other in the future. If you need anything, just come to us. There are many knights from the Southern Cross Legion around here who can help."
Dean smiled and nodded.
"I am also very honored to live near all the knights."
After being polite, he didn't forget to satisfy his curiosity, "Brother Ryan just asked me, Ms. Bella, what, did she do something?"
At the mention of this name, Ryan couldn't help but look solemn.
"She murdered her fiancé, Chevalier Carlo, and planned to escape. She was captured just two days ago and is currently under detailed investigation."
