This is the plan with the most clones of Unit 7, but it is also the one with the most criticism. For example, how to ensure that independently movable parts do not become a burden on the driver? And having too many clones will inevitably make each part of the body more fragile and become more dangerous when combined.
There are still many problems, including the director of the Humanoid Weapons Development Department Rick Brown and the deputy director Hohenheim who did not like this plan and asked their superiors for instructions before considering it. The biggest problem is how to control these limbs. It is definitely difficult for ordinary people to control, so they have to rely on the power of computers. The development department does not want the No. 7 aircraft to be equipped with the same highly intelligent AI as the No. 2 aircraft, and the traditional military drone computer is not ideal. After much thought, the development department specially designed a computer system for Unit 7. The driver only needs to input or issue commands, and the computer will automatically control the body movements and calculate and optimize the movement route when it moves independently.
The limb design is complete, and the next step is the torso. Originally, Unit 7 had a head and was designed to be a fighter jet that could detach from its trunk and move independently. But such a fighter has little combat effectiveness and only has an escape function. In the end, the head was simply removed, and only the eyes were decorated on the chest. The development code name of Unit 7 was therefore named "Xing".
The original split fighter design is retained, and the entire torso can be quickly switched into fighter mode. As for the weapons on the torso, the development department equipped it with two space smoothbore cannons. The original intention was that when the limbs were fighting with the enemy, the torso could launch cannon fire from a distance.
As a result, many design problems of Unit 7 "Xing" were solved and successfully rolled off the production line. It is not the most difficult mobile phone to develop among the Ten Swords mobile phones, but it is the mobile phone with the most complicated development process. Unlike the previous Ten Swords units which were still testing weapons, Unit 7 is already expanding the possibilities of humanoid weapons.
