New book "From Lord to Dimension Demon" and final remarks

When I wrote the rune here, I did feel a little uncomfortable.

The last time I had a similar mood was when I finished "I Can Enlighten All Things" four years ago.

This is probably Rune's most failed book in the past three years.

The early results were very good, but the book-to-subscribe ratio was abysmal. Even after updating 400,000 words in a month, I couldn't save the results. So I thought about the reasons and revised the outline. After all kinds of operations were irreversible, I could only choose to fill in the foreshadowing and complete the whole story. , speed up the completion, and prepare a new book at the same time.

As an old author who has been writing for six or seven years without knowing it, this is actually a helpless but very mature decision.

After all, there is no reward for failed works except lessons.

But for Rune, the decision was fraught with frustration.

As early as the opening of the book, Rune said that "Space Battleship" is a transformational work for which Rune has placed great expectations.

After writing six Infinite Streams in a row, I have to admit that Rune has a lot of shortcomings in terms of the perfection of a single world view and the details of the plot.

Stayed in the comfort zone for too long.

It's not bad at all, but it's difficult to grow.

So, there was this book.

As always, it is based on an opening plot that Rune himself likes very much, and attempts to expand on weak points such as world view, long plot, characters, etc.

The familiar writing method brought early results, but when I started to try unfamiliar fields, I suffered a disastrous failure.

The portrayal of the heroine failed, there were many setting problems, it was too bold, and the plot lacked appeal...

Can't be saved.

There is no way, this is the reality of this industry. Subscriptions and achievements can only be won by content, and the only reason for failure can only be yourself.

Therefore, other than learning lessons and regrouping, there is no way to make up for the mood at the moment.

But the only good thing is that no matter what, the setting, plot, and foreshadowing of the entire book can be considered to have a beginning and an end. If you read this book as a long copy of "The Salvation Organization", it is not considered sloppy. There may be many flaws in this ending, but in the end it doesn't leave too many regrets.

So, it’s time to adjust your mood and focus on your new book.

The biggest change in the new book "From Lord to Dimension Demon God" is probably that Rune finally gave up putting the core of the entire book on a "good beginning" and abandoned the too gimmicky title and introduction. The method forces yourself to focus on the details and plot.

This will of course sacrifice early appeal.

However, judging from the current score of more than 50,000 words, it seems that the early results and appeal are not too bad.

Much better than expected.

However, Rune's expectations for this new book still focus on "details" and "plot".

Slow down the pace, reduce impetuosity, don't care too much about temporary results, focus on the overall and long-term, and allow yourself to maintain quality with enough patience.

I hope that when the next book is finished, Rune will have a completely different mood than now.
