"Diana!" shouted Winnie.

He grabbed my shoulders and I pushed his hands away from me.

"Don't touch me!" I screamed.

"You need to calm down."

"What did you do to me? Where are my eyes?"

Just calm down and I'll tell you. "

Tears blurred my vision.

Winnie squatted in front of me. He held out his hand again. I raised my hand and slapped him. My hands are numb.

Winnie held his face in her hands. I kicked him in the shin. Whinny howled, grabbing his legs and jumping.

I got up from the floor. I walked around Whinney and he grabbed my ankle hard. With a sudden pull, I lost my balance. My elbow hit the floor. I screamed. I rolled onto his feet.

My feet are still in his hands. So I kicked forward with my free foot, aiming between his legs. He actually grabbed my other ankle.

"I didn't expect you to be so aggressive,"

"Let me go, you bastard!" I screamed.

I kicked my feet desperately, trying to break free from his control. He rolled his shoulders, stretched my legs, and walked backwards, pulling me with him. I tried to push my fingers into the tiles to stop him.

I have no control. My fingers slipped from the blood on the floor. My robe was soaked with blood from my arms. My blood splattered on Winnie's coat. A dark red trail followed me as he dragged me out of the bathroom.

I managed to hold on to the doorframe as he pulled me into the hallway. My knuckles turned white. Winnie snorted and tried to pull me away. I freed one of my ankles and kicked him in the knee. He let go of my other ankle and screamed in pain.

I stood up. He grabbed another fistful of my knotted hair. Pulling my hair. I gritted my teeth, my temples throbbing.

"Let me go!" I screamed.

Winnie pulled me to him. My nails dug into his arms. I scratched his skin and his blood came out.

"Stop, Diana," he said.

I screamed as he pushed me forward. I continued to scratch him as he pushed me down the hallway.

"Stop it, Diana,"

He said. "I won't hurt you, stop."

"what did you do to me?"

Whinney pushed us out of the hallway. He dragged me to the bed. All at once, he threw me on the bed. I waved forward and hit him in the chest. I went to hit him again, but he grabbed my wrist. He pressed it hard against the mattress. I slapped his shoulders as he wrapped the restraints around my wrists.

"Stop!" I screamed. "Please, no!."

"I can't let you hurt yourself," he said.

"You're hurting me."

"You are covered in blood. This is because you are self-mutilating."

Whinney reached out and grabbed my other wrist.

I fought with him and drool came out of my mouth. Before he could pull away, I spat at him. I tried to hit him in the eye, but I hit him in the cheek. He wiped his cheek painfully with the back of his hand.

"You have to correct your attitude,"

He said. “Until you apologize to me, you will be subject to these restrictions.

He pulled out a clean robe. My heart pounded in my chest as he tried to change my blood-stained robe.

He tore off a piece of his robe and brought the cloth to me. He pushed my head forward and I wanted to roll away from him. He wrapped a cloth around my mouth and blocked my mouth. He pulled out his battered office chair, the wheels squeaking.

I struggled against my restraints, trying to get the gag out of my mouth. Then Winnie put his warm hand on my wrist

"I'll just leave you alone for five minutes," he said. "Look at the mess you made!."

My screams were muffled by the cloth. Tears rolled down my face. The burning behind my eyes became unbearable. my eyes.

These are not my eyes.

I screamed again and Whinney took his hands off me. He returned to the counter and searched for the vial. He picked one and pulled out a needle. He filled it with medicine.

I was gasping for air as I tried to push myself off the bed, but the cloth around my mouth kept the air away, causing my lungs to burn.

"I have to do this, Diana,"

He said. He popped the remaining air bubbles out of the syringe. "I don't want to, but you're hurting yourself."

Winnie grabbed my legs and rolled me onto my side. I tried to pull away, but his fingers dug into my skin. He pulled up my robe and thrust the needle into my thigh. There is a sharp pinch. He pulled my robe down and turned his back to me.

My eyes burned and they grew heavy quickly. My eyelids nearly bumped together and I struggled to keep them open. It was like lead seeped into my limbs. His heavy arms lifted me onto the bed. I couldn't resist anymore. . . . .

Winnie sat back in his chair and wheeled over to the bed. He put his hands on top of my head and leaned against the railing beside the bed.

"I've been afraid to tell you the truth,"

He said. "But I need you to understand."

I could only frown.

"The body can do amazing things, but some people think it can only be pushed so far,"

He said: "There was a group of surgeons who saw huge opportunities in the future. They ran experiments to see what happened.

The human body can adapt. This group is elite and you are my ticket. You are my first patient to survive this surgery. "

I wanted to scream in frustration, I wanted to push him away, but I couldn't move. He removed his hand from my head and wiped away my tears with his thumb. I moved my head away. He grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him.

"I replaced your eyes with cat's eyes," he said. "It makes it easier to see in the dark and increases your peripheral vision. You still have to adjust to it. It's just day one.

My eyes became so heavy that I could no longer open them. I cursed myself as my head rested on his hand. Winnie chuckled.

"Dr. Philip will see you tomorrow," he said.

I'm in a dark hallway. A light bulb hangs from the ceiling. I exhaled, and I could see a mist of breath in the cold air. A voice echoed in the walls.

I closed my eyes and listened to the meow. My skin tingled, and a cold tingle crawled up my feet.

I looked down at myself and saw that I was wearing a hospital gown. The meowing grew louder and louder. The light flickered a few times before going out. I was surrounded by complete darkness. My breath caught in my throat.

There is a force pushing me forward. Like two warm hands on my shoulders. My feet dragged on the cement floor. I walked behind me but there was no one there.

The sound of a rusty door creaking open filled my ears. The door slammed shut and the feeling of hands on my shoulders disappeared.

A flash of light made me startle and cover my eyes. The meowing grew louder and something soft brushed against my bare leg.

I slowly pulled my hand back and saw that the room was full of cats. They were dirty and matted, and I noticed a few ears were missing. They all turned and stared at me.

They all lost their eyes. I backed up into the wall behind me. Against a large white wall with no door.

How did I get in?

I looked over my shoulder and saw I was surrounded by four walls. There is no door. I punched the wall with my fists. A sharp pain shot up my calf. I looked down and saw the cat scratching my skin. Blood was running down my leg and I could feel the barbed tongue of a cat licking it off.

"Help!" I screamed as my fist hit the wall. "Please! Please, someone, help me!"

The cats came over and piled up around me. They grabbed at my legs and one started tugging at the hem of my robe.

"Help me." The feeling of the hand returned to my shoulder. I opened my eyes suddenly and saw two blurry faces hovering above me.

"Calm down, Diana," Whinney said.

Fingers thinner and softer than Whinney's held my other wrist. Vinnie dug his fingers into the soft bruised flesh of my wrist. I screamed, but it was muffled by the gag.

I looked over and squinted to see another person. It was a woman, her long brown hair pulled back into a ponytail. Her full lips parted and she looked down at me with wide eyes. A pair of dark glasses rested on her head. She has a pink blouse and a black skirt with a white lab coat underneath.

She leaned closer to me. Up close, she looked much older. Wrinkles sprouted from the corners of her eyes, and strands of gray streaked through her dark hair. She put her glasses on her nose. She lifted my chin and leaned closer. She pulled the gag out of my mouth.

"very impressive,"

she says. "Weenie, when you told me about this project, I was skeptical. And you've actually completed it."

"You are all sick,"

I said.

"Be polite, Diana,"

Whinney said.

"This is Dr. Phillip. She's here to check on you."

"Let me go!" I shouted.

Dr. Philip's lips turned into a smile;

“If this keeps up, I’m going to have to sedate you again,” Whinney told me.

I pulled away from the restraints and bit my lip. Philip looked down at my wrist and frowned.

"Unlock her," she said.

"What?" asked Winnie.

"I asked you to untie her"

she said loudly.

"It has no effect. It will only hurt herself more. There will be a dinner party in two weeks. She is now covered in bruises. We can't let her continue like this."

"I just unlocked it for a few minutes and she ripped out the IV and was covered in blood."

Philip sat down on the edge of the bed. She reached out and ran her fingers through my hair. She didn't get very far before her fingers got caught in one of my many knots.

"Appearances are very important at this dinner, especially if you want to become a member,"

she says. "Don't restrain her. I can see she's scared though. I'll have Benjamin come over. He has outdoor privileges. I'll have him get the girl some clothes and stuff, fix her hair, and then he'll take care of her .”

"I don't need a babysitter," I said.

Philip chuckled.

"Being with Ben is good for her," she said. "He'll teach her how to act. The last thing you need is for her to embarrass you at this dinner."
