It’s been a year since I opened the book. Let’s talk about it casually.

As the title states, "When a Game Planner Becomes a Star Card Master" was published on June 1, 2022, and today is exactly one year anniversary.

I have said before that to be precise, I started to have the idea of writing online articles in December 2021, and until the first half of last year, I was still a newbie pursuing the starting point of signing contracts.

Since the first book, or the first beginning, I have tried traditional fantasy, urban supernatural powers (probably the feeling of a dragon group), urban campus love, and a slightly suspenseful opening chapter, but nothing. Exceptions were rejected.

When I wrote the beginning of this book, Card Maker, it was during the Great Shanghai Defense War last year. Due to work reasons, I went to help the streets connect delivery stores and deliver supplies to the community every day.

The beginning of "The Card Maker" was cut out word by word on my mobile phone in a big truck.

I was also very lucky. Around mid-May, my editor Canaan thought that the theme of "making games with cards" was very good, so he signed me up.

And I officially started my online writing journey on June 1st, when the workload of epidemic prevention work decreased.

After all, the beginning was written purely for the purpose of signing a contract, and what the subsequent chapters are going to be about is a complete mess.

I just thought about it while I was writing, and sure enough, after only half a month of writing, I managed to get... off track.

However, I still put it on the shelves and wrote it till now.

Admittedly, I also mentioned in my last speech that "Card Maker" is a very immature book. It contains many wrong ideas and trial and error content, so it is natural that its profits are not high. .

I am really, really grateful to the readers who are willing to tip and subscribe to "Card Maker". Every bit of your support is motivation for me to continue writing.

So, I took this little bit of "motivation" and the spiritual victory method of "one million to become a god" and continued to move forward.

During this year, I formulated the plot framework of the entire book and compiled an outline of 2/3 of the content. Then I sadly discovered that it seemed that the book would have to be written between 1.2 and 1.5 million before it could be finished. My goal of finishing it at a million dollars and then going off to write the next book is far from the goal.

A year is indeed a long time and can change a lot of things.

In the early stages, I was very enthusiastic about writing and had a strong desire to create. At that time, I could rely on my momentum and rush forward without thinking.

But web writing is a long-distance sport.

The enthusiasm in the early stage will not make you persist in reaching the end. What is truly reliable is will and skill.

So I updated the subsequent chapters while studying and writing, and now I feel that I have a little grasp of the ropes.

In fact, many friends and fellow authors would advise me to abandon this book and start a new one.

When I was scanning the list before, I collected a lot of Shang Sanjiang books, but a large part of them are already Eunuch books... Including the Eunuch author who opened the book with me at the beginning, I don't know if there are any new ones now. Write......

From a rational point of view, the benefits of reopening the palace will indeed be higher.

But I have persisted until this point, so why not just stick with it and write it to the end.

At least so far, the idea of ending is still very firm.

Let’s talk about my job...

After starting my online writing journey, I naturally came into contact with many "insiders". Everyone's work and experience were very different, but everyone set foot on this land with the idea of "one book can become a god".

Then after several authors reached level 100, I also understood a truth.

Because the results of "Card Maker" are so bad, I haven't cut it yet... The reason is because my work is not bad.

Although the salary is not high, even in Shanghai, some people would think it is at a lower level, but since my daily consumption level is relatively low, I have no worries about life.

With this protective foundation, my mentality when writing a book is completely different from that of a full-time writer.

If their grades are poor, they may become very anxious and cut books like crazy just to earn a living by writing books.

So...if anyone who reads this article has the idea of "wanting to write a book to make money," then I will first advise you not to work full-time. Work is the guarantee for you to write a book.

However, work is indeed an obstacle to writing a book.

As you all know, my updates have always been in a "bad" state.

Mainly because the workload this year has increased a lot. I feel tired every time I come home. During the most tiring period, I will even take a nap during dinner and then get up to update.

Otherwise, sleepiness will hang over your forehead and you won’t be able to write a single word.

Sometimes there is even the outrageous situation of finishing today’s update and then continuing to write a work manuscript...

But the good news is that since May, I seem to have lost interest in playing games, and the time I spend playing games has been drastically reduced, freeing up a lot of space for me to code and work overtime at night.

Luo Liba has talked about a lot of things, and I would like to thank the readers who have read this and are willing to listen to my complaints, hahaha.

In the new year, let me make a small wish:

I hope I can get used to the rhythm of work and coding in the future, and then speed up the update a little bit!

"Card Maker", Happy New Year!

Lu Li, Happy New Year!
