In the evening, the setting clouds flew in from the sky, casting a golden coat on the gloomy Baihu Ridge.
Xuanzang, who was originally motionless, moved his little finger slightly, his eyelids trembled a few times, and he coughed rapidly in his throat. Finally, he opened his eyes, and after a few breaths of sluggishness, he suddenly sat up and looked around cautiously.
Sun Wukong, where have you gone?
Where did the bodies of the mother and daughter go?
If it weren't for the two stains of blood on the ground, Xuanzang would have thought he just had a cruel dream.
"Amitabha"
Xuanzang recited the Buddha's name as usual, his expression neither happy nor sad.
"Xuan Zang"
A woman whose clothes were whiter than snow, and who was extremely holy, walked from the sky. With every step, a golden lotus bloomed, withered, and bloomed again, which dazzled Xuanzang.
"Master Guanyin"
Xuanzang clasped his hands together and bowed devoutly.
"Xuan Zang, why are you alone?"
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva knows clearly and therefore asks.
"Bodhisattva, please..."
Xuanzang explained the cause and effect. Although he did not add any exaggeration, the responsibility was basically placed on Sun Wukong.
Anyway, all the mistakes are the fault of others! Master Xuanzang never missed him.
Guanyin Bodhisattva, who knew Xuanzang very well, had long been used to it, but he still tried to redeem himself.
"Xuan Zang, what you see with your eyes is not—well, the poor monk knows it."
Guanyin Bodhisattva, who was suddenly warned by someone, changed his words and said: "Xuan Zang, there are many demons and ghosts on the way to the west. Without Wukong, you would not be able to reach the west!"
"This poor monk would rather die on the road than associate with that cruel and violent man again!"
Xuanzang looked determined.
Guanyin Bodhisattva sighed softly. She could not explain the truth of the matter clearly. This was a catastrophe. The test was the trust between Xuanzang and Sun Wukong. She pointed out that it was tantamount to contempt for the ninety-nine and eighty-one disasters.
"May I ask Bodhisattva, do you know where the bodies of the mother and daughter are? Could it be that they were picked up by jackals?"
Xuanzang was concerned about the mother and daughter from before, and even asked stupid questions. If a jackal came, he would still be able to stand here intact.
"..."
Guanyin Bodhisattva was speechless. At such a time, you still ask where the mother and daughter are. You are really confused.
"Buddha"
Xuanzang shouted softly.
Guanyin Bodhisattva waved his hand, and the blood on the ground disappeared.
"Xuan Zang, the journey to the west is long and arduous. Do not worry about life and death. In order for you to reach the West Heaven smoothly, the poor monk has prepared an apprentice for you on the way forward. I hope you will not have any conflicts with him again."
After that, Guanyin Bodhisattva stepped on the white clouds and disappeared into the sky as usual.
"There is another apprentice ahead of me"
Xuanzang was not happy at all. Along the way, the Bodhisattva found four disciples for him: White Dragon, who ate people in front of him; Sun Wukong, who was wild and untamable; He didn't even show his face, so he didn't have high hopes for what the next one would be like.
After seeing so many markets, he also summed up his experience. All the Bodhisattvas were looking for were guilty and defective, just like the prisoners of the Tang Dynasty. He, a kind and benevolent monk, mixed with a group of prisoners. , how can it be so easy to get along well with each other.
After packing his things, Xuanzang mounted his horse and headed west again with a gloomy mood.
The only demon in Baihu Ridge, the White Bone Demon, has long since died. The two little bones were killed by Chu Feng when he left. Now, there are no monsters in the entire Baihu Ridge.
Xuanzang spent several days and successfully passed Baihu Ridge. After walking for many days on the not too vast plain, Xuanzang finally found a family. Thanks to his good appearance and profound Buddhist teachings, Xuanzang helped people perform rituals while traveling westward, and his life was very comfortable.
After traveling for more than ten days, at noon that day, Xuanzang came to the famous black pine forest. It is said that there is a yellow-robed king in the mountain who eats all passersby alive, which is very terrifying.
Xuanzang was just a human being. He only looked at the dark pine forest and lost the courage to move forward. He spent the whole afternoon and returned to the farmhouse where he lived before.
Early the next morning, Xuanzang came to the black pine forest again and looked at the mist-shrouded mountains. Xuanzang could not help but think of the scene where Sun Wukong was there. In the past, with Sun Wukong around, he could run rampant, regardless of any monsters, and fight them all. It's better now. He doesn't even dare to enter the mountains, and he still talks about traveling west to learn Buddhist scriptures.
Just when Xuanzang was hesitating, a vague shadow came flying towards the sky. Xuanzang, who mistakenly thought it was a monster, was so frightened that he pulled the reins and turned his horse to escape.
"The person coming is Master Xuanzang!"
came a familiar voice.
When Xuanzang heard the familiar voice and the polite words, he breathed a sigh of relief. When he turned his head, he was stunned for a moment, and then he became furious.
"What are you doing here, you bully who deceived your master and destroyed your ancestors?"
The visitor was a monkey wearing a Tianzhu monk's robe with bare shoulders. His whole body was covered with golden hair, and he looked exactly like Sun Wukong.
"Master Xuanzang, you have misunderstood. The young monk is a six-eared macaque sitting under the seat of the ancient Buddha Deng Deng. He has been ordered to escort you to the west to obtain Buddhist scriptures."
When Xuanzang heard that he was sitting under the ancient Buddha's seat, the expression on his face became cautious. From the corner of his eye, he saw the stick in the hand of the six-eared macaque and sneered again.
"You beast, you just left, but you changed your tricks to tease the poor monk. No one in this world has the Ruyi Golden Cudgel except you."
The six-eared macaque shook the stick in his hand and explained: "Amitabha, Master Xuanzang, you are mistaken. This is a Suixin Iron Soldier. It was made by Taishang Laojun. It uses the same method used to make the Poseidon Needle. So it’s exactly the same.”
Xuanzang didn't believe it even more.
"You are a disciple of the ancient Buddha Ran Deng. How could the Supreme Lord refine weapons for you?"
"this"
The six-eared macaque couldn't explain anymore. He was indeed a disciple of the Ancient Buddha. According to the original plan, he would impersonate Sun Wukong and destroy the Tathagata Buddha's plan to obtain Buddhist scriptures.
Unexpectedly, a few days ago, Guanyin Bodhisattva suddenly found him, predicting that he would be killed if he participated in it, and asked him to abandon the darkness and turn to the light. That's why he came here. But all of this is related to the game between Tongtian people. How can he Say it openly.
Unless I don't want to live anymore.
"I can't make it up anymore"
Xuanzang looked at the six-eared macaque coldly.
"Xuan Zang, the six-eared macaque was indeed sent by a poor monk."
A calm voice appeared out of thin air.
Xuanzang was stunned for a moment, then clasped his hands together and said, "When will the Bodhisattva arrive here?"
"The poor monk used the method of transmitting sounds thousands of miles away, but he didn't get here. This person is not Sun Wukong!"
The calm voice said firmly.
Xuanzang, who had always paid homage to Guanyin Bodhisattva, bowed and saluted in the air.
"Thank you Bodhisattva for informing me"
"Well, the poor monk is going to Dongsheng China to teach the Dharma. You can't watch here all the time. There must be no disagreement between you two."
After saying this in a calm voice, there was no movement.
"Don't dare"
Xuanzang agreed quickly.
"Farewell to Bodhisattva"
The six-eared macaque on the side said respectfully.
Later, Xuanzang and the six-eared macaque met and they were equal to each other.
