Make a record and see how many books you have read in order to write a book. You are also a drunkard~

I bought a few physical books at first, but later I found that there was too much to read, and it was too expensive to buy physical books, so I read on Kindle. Later, Kindle was about to stop, so I switched to WeChat to read. I bought a membership and all publications I can read everything freely, which is great.

They are all authentic popular science books. The authors are either doctors, professors, scholars, journalists, etc. They are definitely not comparable to any online materials.

Of course, I also follow some medical and biological public accounts. This mainly focuses on the latest scientific research results, important discoveries in various natural, scientific, and cell papers.

Physical book:

1. "Billion Dollar Molecule" tells the legendary entrepreneurial history of Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

2. "Double Helix Exploration", a combination of quantum physics and life science, mainly explains the impact of quantum physics on chemical bonds, the history of DNA discovery, and the mystery of genes. It is a must-read for beginners.

3. "The American Trap", a look at transnational business wars.

4. "Learning from Genius" tells the story of a team with a mentoring relationship (Shannon → Brody → Axelrod → Snyder → Pert) from the 1920s to the 1980s. The story of successive dedications to science and winning major awards such as the Nobel Prize and the Lasker Prize. What is very interesting is the discovery history of the opioid receptor inventors Dr. Schneider and Dr. Pert, and it also introduces relevant theoretical knowledge. Very detailed.

5. "Drug Discovery - From the Hospital Bed to Wall Street"

6. "The Future of Drug Discovery", books 5 and 6 are the first and second volumes of the same series. They mainly talk about the process and thinking of new drugs from the laboratory to the market.

E-book (read):

7. "Pharmacist", the history of drug development, very lively and interesting, beautiful to watch!

8. "Gene Magic Scissors", a book introducing gene editing technology and applications

9. "Redesigning Life" is a very interesting book. I copied a lot of little ideas for the future, haha.

10. "Gene Universe", a genetic encyclopedia

11. "The Story of Drugs" is a very simple collection of short stories. I didn't gain much from reading it.

12. "The Biography of Cancer", this is the world's best-selling popular science book. The author is an Indian doctor who won the Pulitzer Prize for Literature. The writing is beautiful and the story is narrated, telling the history of Western countries' treatment of cancer. I read it through, there are many vivid stories in it, and it also summarizes the characteristics of cancer.

13. "The Biography of Genes", written by the same author as me, with excellent writing style, I couldn't help but sigh, the third brother's English is really great. The story is also very well told, and the writing is much better than my book anyway.

14. "Dream Addiction: The Truth About the Opioid Epidemic in the United States" can help me understand opioids, which was very helpful for me to write the plot of painkillers.

15. "The Story of the Brain", understand the basic knowledge and principles of the brain.

16. "The Secret: The Amazing Power of Gene Editing", a book written by Doudna, the winner of the 2020 Chemistry Prize, explains the mystery of genetic scissors technology.

17. "God's Scalpel, A Brief History of Gene Editing". When writing about genetic technology, I basically read all the relevant popular science books on the market.

18. "Future Medicine", looking forward to the future of medicine and technological development.

E-books (reading now):

19. "The Story of Antibiotics: A Pill That Changed Human Destiny"

20. "Nano and Life"

The book list is updated at any time according to the reading progress.
