If you stop and watch, you can see the red sky at the end of the canyon.
The screams were ringing in their ears, and before the wandering souls around them entered, their bodies began to tremble, but they continued to move forward as if they were out of control.
I followed closely behind.
When I completely crossed the canyon and saw the scene in front of me, I was completely stunned. This was a completely different world from before.
The sky was completely red, as bright as blood, and the same was true for the earth, with rolling mountains stretching as far as the eye could see.
But what horrified me was that all the mountains were densely covered with countless wild dogs with sharp teeth and extremely ferocious eyes. It would not be an exaggeration to describe the number as overwhelming.
And those wandering souls passing by here were either thrown to the ground by one, two or three or even more wild dogs and bitten crazily.
Many ghosts were bitten to pieces, with limbs missing and their stomachs disemboweled, but they still stood up and moved forward. The screams and excited roars of wild dogs were the main theme of this space.
What shocked me even more was that after the wandering soul entered the Evil Dog Ridge, the soul actually grew flesh and blood that was no different from the human body in the world. You can imagine the pain when it was bitten.
The ground was dyed dark brown with blood, like a real mountain of corpses and sea of blood.
Even though I have experienced wind and waves, when I saw the scene in front of me, my legs began to tighten and my breathing became shaky.
It is really shocking to see the cruel scene of wandering souls growing flesh and blood and becoming food for wild dogs.
What's more, what scares me is that these wild dogs look a hundred times more ferocious than those in the human world.
The big one is three meters high and five meters long, and the small one is about one meter high and two meters long. It has scarlet hair all over its body and its eyes are murderous red.
The teeth are long and sharp, like the sharpest blades in the world. Many wild dogs have scarlet blood dripping from their teeth, with pieces of meat and internal organs hanging on them.
"Ah ah ah, no, don't bite me. I haven't eaten many dogs. Don't bite me." Suddenly, a shrill scream came from the place closest to me.
I saw a wandering soul of a middle-aged man, who was knocked down by five wild dogs and bitten and devoured wildly. Soon, most of his body was mutilated, except for his legs, which were intact.
The wandering soul struggled desperately to stand up and stumbled forward, as if trying to cross the hell-like Dog Ridge as quickly as possible.
But the strange thing is that while the wandering soul was running, his arms and upper body were bitten to pieces of flesh and blood, and they quickly recovered as before. Then they were jumped on and bitten by several wild dogs again, and the cycle continued, repeating the process of biting the body. process.
Gradually, the wandering soul screamed and disappeared from the end of my sight, and everything around me was this scene.
However, some wandering souls were bitten by wild dogs and suffered different injuries.
Although there are some who are not bitten by wild dogs, they are only a very small number.
My heart trembled when I saw it. Even if I had never eaten a bite of dog meat, I would not dare to step into this evil dog ridge.
Not only was the red egg under me not afraid at all, but the eyes at the end of the tentacles actually showed the gaze of a curious baby.
There was a flash of white light.
Zen's figure appeared next to me. He sighed and looked at the miserable scene in front of him. He put his hands together and recited the Buddha's name, "Namo Amitabha."
This was the first time I saw him look so compassionate.
"Hey, all living beings are suffering." Zen sighed deeply and looked at the hell-like situation ahead, "Most of these wandering souls were people who had eaten dog meat or abused dogs during their lives, or they were dog dealers, these wild beasts The dogs will be punished equally according to the different injuries caused by the wandering souls to the dogs during their lifetime. When they enter the Evil Dog Ridge, they will transform into a body in the world and experience the pain of their flesh and blood being bitten off."
And I just observed that the wandering spirit with the least injuries was only bitten on the arm and leg, and the wounds were not deep. After that, the wandering spirit walked forward as if walking on flat ground.
Wherever it passed, wild dogs gave way. This wandering spirit must have never eaten dog meat during its lifetime, but it may have caused other minor injuries to the dogs.
As for some wandering souls, all the flesh and blood on their bodies were bitten off, and in the end only a shrieking head was left, desperately crawling forward.
Several wild dogs with ferocious eyes followed the wandering soul, obviously waiting for the wandering soul to regrow its flesh and blood. Once the flesh and blood re-covered its body, it would be torn apart by the wild dogs crazily again.
I feel that such wandering souls either ate too much dog meat during their lifetimes, or are hated dog dealers, or dog slaughterers.
There are also a very small number of wandering souls who were not harmed by wild dogs at all, but were escorted forward by several large wild dogs like escorts. They must be people who have never eaten dog meat or beaten dogs in their lifetime and cherish animals.
As for these wandering souls who have eaten dog meat during their lifetime, I am not qualified to comment. After all, they are free to eat whatever they want. However, while I was shaking in my heart, I also felt a faint sense of pleasure.
Heaven's way is reincarnation, who will be spared by cause and effect!
This is the retribution of karma. Those who do evil in the world think that they will escape the punishment of karma, but they don’t know that they will receive their retribution after death, and they will not suffer it at all.
However, out of compassion for the same kind of people, I couldn't help but ask Zen: "You said that being punished so severely for eating dog meat is a bit too much. What about people who have eaten chicken and pork? Are you treated like this by Karma?"
Zen said seriously, "Dogs are different from other animals. Eating dogs is equivalent to cannibalism in disguise. Have you ever seen any animals other than dogs that have helped humans so much? Earthquake relief and catching bad guys all have the shadow of dogs. It His contribution to mankind is immeasurable, and he is even more loyal to mankind, but what about you people?"
Hearing this, he was stunned for a long time, and then sighed secretly. Zen was right. Dogs have indeed made great contributions to mankind, and they are also mankind's most loyal friends.
Even if you beat and scold them, they will not be attacked. It is not because they dare not, but out of love for their master.
Its level of loyalty is unparalleled. If you give it a steamed bun, it will remember you for a lifetime and repay the favor. But what about people now?
You treat people well, but in the end you will not only be ungrateful, but may even bite you back. There are many such white-eyed wolves, and the ones who live are really worse than dogs.
I fell deeply into meditation. This trip to the underworld had a profound impact on my state of mind, and my perspective on things also changed.
However, I still subconsciously asked Zen, "So, Zen, you said...Didn't the Buddha say that all living beings are equal? Although dogs are human beings' good friends, people who eat dog meat will be torn apart like this when they pass by the Evil Dog Ridge." Bite, isn’t it a bit..."
"It's a bit too cruel, isn't it?" Zen looked at me seriously after saying that, "I have to correct your idea. There is no so-called fairness in the world. Strength can create rules. If you have strength, you are fair. All living beings have never been equal."
He paused and then said: "The equality of all sentient beings that the Buddha said is the equality of Tathagata's nature, because all living beings are the instant beings born from Tathagata's nature, and produce living entities transformed by spiritual wisdom. Those who are equal are immortal and immortal. The self-natured perfect body that is neither stained nor pure, neither increases nor decreases, does not mean that the karma and retribution bodies of all living beings are equal. Well, let’s hurry up and get on with it.”
After I finished speaking, a white Zen light flashed into my mind.
A fishy wind mixed with the smell of blood blew, and I was silent for a long time.
Zen is right, there is no so-called equality among all living beings.
Will flies and humans be equal? It is obviously impossible. What is equal is the nature of Tathagata, because flies are also the instant existence transformed from the origin of the universe, the nature of karma.
Living beings rotate in the six realms, some are reincarnated as pigs and dogs, and some go to hell. This is all caused by karma.
"Ho ho ho..."
Just as I was thinking about it, there was a roar five meters in front of me, and I saw a two-meter-tall wild dog with fiery red hair all over its body, baring its teeth and barking at me.
But maybe it was because I didn't step into the Evil Dog Ridge completely, so it couldn't attack me.
But those bleeding teeth and the scarlet bloodthirsty light made me want me to take a few steps quickly so that I could bite my flesh and blood.
"Don't bite me, don't bite me. I've never eaten dog meat. I just broke a few dog legs, tied them to the train track and were crushed to death by the train." Suddenly, a young man's voice came from beside me. Shivering and frightened sounds.
Turning around, he saw a boy of about eighteen years old. He looked at several wild dogs in front of him in horror, and walked forward with trembling steps.
One step, two steps.
Just when the boy walked three meters away, the light blue soul transformed into a physical body and was thrown to the ground by several wild dogs.
Accompanied by shrill screams, the boy was cut into pieces by five horses, and his body was bitten by wild dogs and carried deep into the Evil Dog Ridge. You can imagine the fate that awaits him.
I felt an inexplicable sense of sarcasm in my heart. At such a young age, the boy had done the vicious thing of tying a dog to the train track and crushing it to death. Being quartered by five horses was also retribution.
I took a deep breath, no longer stopping, and let the red egg carry me forward slowly, when I was about to cross the dividing line three meters away.
Several wild dogs ran over, staring at me with bared teeth and grins.
"I have never eaten a dog, nor have I ever abused a dog, nor have I ever raised one. They probably won't bite me." I whispered nervously in my heart, and then completely entered the range of Evil Dog Ridge.
At this moment, an invisible force burst out from within his body, and the light blue soul quickly grew flesh and bones into a complete yang body.
What shocked me even more was that looking into the eyes of those wild dogs made me feel dizzy. All my experiences from the age of one to eighteen flashed through my mind in an instant, without eating. The experience of dog fighting dog.
"Ho ho ho..."
I was surrounded by several ferocious wild dogs that were staring at me. Their roars gradually subsided, and their expressions no longer bared their teeth in a ferocious manner. Instead, they tilted their heads and stared curiously at the red egg with dozens of tentacles under my body, as if they were thinking. What is this thing?
But he only stayed in a daze for a moment, and soon went to bite other wandering souls.
"Huh..." I breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed like everything was fine.
Afterwards, Hongdan took me and flew forward as fast as walking on flat ground. Not a single wild dog paid attention to me or even looked at me. They all gave way to me.
During this period, I observed carefully and felt that the strength of these wild dogs is quite high. Basically, they all have the strength of the Dzogchen realm of evil ghosts.
There are no longer a few wild dogs that are half-step physical ghosts. Even further away, they occasionally emit terrifying waves that are so powerful that it makes my heart palpitate. Those are half-step ghost soldiers, or even higher levels.
I was secretly frightened and didn't want to stay in this dangerous and terrifying place for a moment, letting the red egg speed up and fly forward.
The red egg may have been the reason for the excitement. It flew very fast and suddenly transformed into a behemoth more than ten meters high. The evil aura was so overwhelming that I, standing on the commanding heights, felt like a big devil looking down at all the living beings in front of me.
But at this moment, nearly millions of wild dogs in Evil Dog Ridge were stunned at the same time, and all their eyes turned to me. At the moment when I felt chills all over my body, they quickly looked away from me and continued to bite. Those wandering souls are gone.
I took a deep breath in shock, patted the corner of the red egg next to me, and scolded: "Can you please stop messing around? What if so many wild dogs pounce on me?"
Hongdan was very unconvinced and said that these wild dogs together were no match for him.
I didn't dwell on the authenticity of his words, so I continued to let the red egg fly forward, but suddenly, a girl's cry and scream came from not far to the right.
I turned around and saw a little girl about ten years old, whose ankle had been bitten off. She was struggling and crying and crawling forward, holding two shocking blood marks behind her.
The girl's little hands were dug into the ground, and her nails were cracked. She was extremely miserable.
