【I am Jin Yiwei】
Since I went on a medical trip with my father and others, I have only gone south but have never been to Beijing. But Baoding Prefecture is not too far from Beijing. People traveling from south to north have told many rumors about Beijing, including the nine-layered city gate, the high and back city wall, and the splendid Forbidden City...Now that I am here, my curiosity still makes me want to know more about Beijing. Looking at this city, although the city walls are not as high as expected, they are still impressive. The streets are indeed wide and long, with many shops and a constant flow of people. But before I could savor the scenery here, I was urged to follow. A large group of people hurriedly rushed to Jinyiwei's station. Due to its noble status, the Jinyiwei Yamen is not scattered in the alleys of the capital like other pro-military Yamen. It is close to Chengtianmen, the main entrance of the imperial city, on the west side of Qianbu Corridor, adjacent to the Fifth Army Governor's Mansion, and separated from the Six Ministries on the east side. Facing each other across the street, there is the center of the Ming Dynasty, which shows how important we are.
Although I have traveled to Suzhou and Hangzhou in the south of the Yangtze River, the city of Beijing is so huge that it is a bit dazzling, let alone in a hurry. The Ming Dynasty has been established for more than a hundred years, especially the Hongzhi Zhongxing, which made this country strong and prosperous. Therefore, when I stepped into Beijing, although I still missed home, I was determined to survive here.
The Jin Yiwei has a tradition of teaching and mentoring. The new Jin Yiwei are taught various rules by their seniors. Liao Jianzhong personally told me the story of Jin Yiwei, which attracted the envy of many people. I listened respectfully, with eyes full of longing, and in my heart, I gradually began to understand the world of Jin Yiwei.
The center of this world is the emperor! As well as the emperor's family members, the so-called Tianhuang nobles. Our Emperor Hongzhi only loved Empress Zhang, and her Empress Zhang also protected her family. Among them, her two younger brothers Zhang Heling and Zhang Songling are even more domineering.
Emperor Hongzhi's harem life was very different from that of all ancient emperors. He never had a concubine. Emperor Hongzhi lived a monogamous life with his queen Zhang throughout his life. Compared with Yang Yuhuan's "Three Thousand Favors in One Body", this Empress Zhang truly deserves her title. Although Emperor Hongzhi had strict requirements on his courtiers, after all, he only had one marriage partner, so he had to be more lenient with the people in Queen Zhang's family, and he would no longer pursue matters that he could turn a blind eye to.
Queen Zhang's younger brother Shouning Hou Zhang Heling usually idles around and does not do his job. She often instigated Empress Zhang to ask the emperor for financial estates and the like, and from time to time she would go out to cause trouble. Anyway, with Empress Zhang on top, Zhang Heling was somewhat confident.
But after all, Emperor Hongzhi cultivated the atmosphere of the Hongzhi Dynasty, and would report it to anyone who couldn't stand it. Li Mengyang, who was serving as a doctor in the Ministry of Household Affairs at that time, had always been upright and hated evil. Zhang Songling committed evil, but he happened to hit the muzzle of Li Mengyang's gun. Seeing the irrefutable evidence, Li Mengyang read a book about Zhang Songling when he returned home, saying that he oppressed the villagers, seized farmland, and committed evil acts.
The relationship between Queen Zhang and Emperor Hongzhi is so strong. Queen Zhang knew about it as soon as the memorial fell into the hands of Emperor Hongzhi. Empress Zhang went to talk to Zhang Songling. Zhang Songling seized on the sentence "Your Majesty treats the Zhang family" in the memorial and made a big fuss, accusing Li Mengyang of being disrespectful to Empress Zhang, and actually wanted Emperor Hongzhi to punish Li Mengyang to death.
Although Zhang Songling is Queen Zhang's younger brother, his words are not so weighty after all, so it is Queen Zhang who has to take action at this time. As for Empress Zhang, she was not an illiterate wife, but she had no choice but to be instigated by Zhang Songling, and the family members were all on Zhang Songling's side - after all, satisfying Zhang Songling's interests also satisfied the Zhang family's interests. Therefore, everyone in the Zhang family supports Zhang Songling. Empress Zhang had no choice but to cry and make trouble in front of Emperor Hongzhi. It was a common way for women to deal with men, not to mention the man who loved her deeply. Well, Emperor Hongzhi had no choice but to let the Jin Yiwei arrest Li Mengyang into the "Edict Prison" .
[Commander of Jin Yiwei]
If it had been another commander of the Jinyi Guards, someone like Li Mengyang who had offended a relative of the emperor and had little identity background would probably have been punished by casually using a few criminal laws in the "prison". But Mou Bin is different. His appearance has a clear Hongzhi style. Huai'en, the eunuch and eunuch in charge of rituals, recommended many talents. Among them, Mou Bin, who started as a junior Jinyiwei, had no background. He just relied on his steadfastness and loyalty to be promoted step by step. When he became the top leader of Jinyiwei, He is still kind and normal. The role model in his mind was Yuan Bin, who sacrificed his life to protect him during the Tumu Fortress Incident, and later became the commander of the Jinyi Guards.
Mou Bin holds great power but can act with integrity. He has long heard of Li Mengyang's reputation and basically understands why Li Mengyang was imprisoned. Li Mengyang was arrested and imprisoned. After that, not only did he not receive any punishment, he was also treated like a VIP by Mou Bin. Mou Bin asked the Jinyi guards to clean up a cleaner cell and place Li Mengyang in it. From time to time, he would bring wine and meat in to chat with Li Mengyang.
Empress Zhang seemed to be busy taking care of other things. Emperor Hongzhi also felt that the news had passed, so he found Mou Bin and asked him how Li Mengyang was doing in prison. Not only did not lose a pound of meat, it was much whiter and more tender than before I went in. Emperor Hongzhi admired Mou Bin's actions very much, praised Mou Bin a few words, gave him a blunderbuss from abroad, and said that Li Mengyang had had enough rest, so he should be released!
After Li Mengyang came out of the "prison", he still fought against the Zhang family. Zhang Songling took a look and saw that not only was this guy not hurt at all, but he also seemed to have gained weight after going to the "Prison". He immediately went to Queen Zhang and said that this time we have to be more cruel and put him to death. Never turn over. Empress Zhang was instigated by her family again and ran to Emperor Hongzhi crying. This time Emperor Hongzhi was impatient and said angrily: "You people clearly want me to kill Li Mengyang! But how can I just do that?" Why do you want to get rid of the people who help me run the country for the sake of a few of you? "This statement couldn't be more clear. Compared with the power of my Zhu family, your small interests are nothing. When Queen Zhang heard this, the emperor was really angry. After all, state affairs were more important than family affairs. She was so frightened that she quickly retreated and went back to tell her family to restrain themselves. Even though we are relatives of the emperor, if the emperor gets angry, we will inevitably move our heads.
Mou Bin was not afraid of the power of the Zhang family, managed the prison fairly, and took care of criminals like Li Mengyang in prison. He was praised by the courtiers and was a good story for our Jin Yiwei, but it also left hidden dangers for subsequent robberies and killings. During the period when Jin Yiwei was in prison in Mou Bin, what impressed the courtiers and the people was no longer "terror" and "bloody", but "justice" and "kindness". As a controversial yamen, not all emperors of the Ming Dynasty had a soft spot for Jin Yiwei. For example, Emperor Jianwen, Emperor Hongxi, Emperor Xuande, Emperor Hongzhi and other monarchs who advocated the implementation of "benevolent" policies in managing the country tried to suppress them. There was even a plan to ban Jinyiwei, but it was precisely because of the emergence of Jinyiwei managers such as Zhu Ji, Yuan Bin, and Mou Bin in the history of Jinyiwei that Jinyiwei always played an important role in the development of the Ming Dynasty. No matter whether it is a mediocre emperor or an outstanding emperor, there is no way to lose the Jin Yiwei, a tool that suits their appetite. But as a party organization of the frustrated Dongchang, Jinyiwei did not have much development during the Hongzhi Dynasty! Because no matter what Jin Yiwei does or doesn't do, he is always a foreign minister! Dongchang is just the opposite. It is a slave of the emperor. Although most of the people in Dongchang, except for a few eunuchs in charge, were transferred from Jinyiwei, Dongchang is always a yamen located in the palace. A red wall symbolizes Well, home and outside are two different places after all!
Today, in Dongchang, the eunuch Wang Yue, the eunuch and governor, is in charge of the ceremony. Moubin, the Jinyiwei, sent some people from the Jinyiwei to take turns co-organizing the event. The relationship between the two is harmonious, and the factory guards are harmonious, which is another story.
