Chapter 65: Dawnfall

Fankel's face turned livid.

First, the bats attack his second most valuable possession: his only friend. They ransacked his house, leaving only a pile of rubble in front of which the dragon and his minions stood. They captured the souls of his cherished servants—none of whom Vankel knew their names, thankfully—and wounded Sweet Chocolate.

Second, these barbarians don't like the taste of dragon blood. Half dragon, but still dragon blood! This insult to human honor will not go unpunished!

Finally, the bat threatens his niece.

"Get all the vampires you find," Winkle ordered the kobold rangers, who survived the attack but were wounded. "So I can eat it myself!"

"What shall we do with her?" asked the knight Chia, holding the treacherous Saulus in his hand and holding his sword to his throat.

"How could you do this?" Winkle scolded her. "How could you betray me? Why do so many minions betray my trust after I gave them a purpose in life? After I made you more than just food, aka emergency food?"

“I care more about my life than my goals?” Savou

euse proposes, without shame or regret.

"Savy, it's not necessary," said Manling Victor, with the calm and gravitas befitting Winkel's chief of staff. "A few days ago, I asked Kia to give her old party member Nost

Edame sent a magical message. "

"I asked Kevin to set up the Night Blade Force in your hometown of Noble to protect your family." The Paladin said. "If you cooperate with us, we can keep you safe and free from retaliation."

"But that would make me a snitch," Savuluse protested. "I'm going to have to give up my honor as a professional killer and a killer."

"For a mortal like you, the only honor in life is to listen to the dragon!" Winkle answered with unparalleled logic. "A maggot's life is at stake! Will you continue to be a servant of those corrupt creatures? Or choose to serve the kindest and richest dragon in the world? Is your surname Bella or Renfield?"

"I……"

"I'm a dragon." Winkle interrupted. "I'm an uncle, too. Anything that gets in the way of my niece and I's safety isn't food. It's ashes. Are you ashes, Stinky Scales?"

Charisma check successful! This is the key!

Scaled Thauris saw the light of the dragon's wisdom - aided by the smoke from its nostrils - and turned her back to the darkness. "If my family and I are safe, I can... say we are in Mu

The location of all hidden warehouses set up. "

"What about Charlene?" Manling pushed immediately, thinking only of giving birth again. "Honey?"

"Charlene...is sick."

"Is the disease a blood disease?" Victor asked worriedly.

"Sick as a vampire." As for Mir, a doppelgänger impersonates her to create conflict between heaven and bliss. I can testify—"

"No one cares!" Vai

roar. "Where's the bat? Where's my niece?"

Faced with the insidious creature's silence, the dragon decided to use his claws to solve the problem. "Give me the map, slave," Vankel ordered, and his friend obeyed immediately. "We need to find this overgrown bat immediately!"

"Wait, I have to equip myself first!"

"I'm going too," Kia insisted.

"After you abandoned my niece? Never!" Fankle growled, then turned to his entourage. "No time to wait, Manling Victor! When I get her, I'll summon you." !" His niece's life was at stake and nothing else mattered.

"No, Your Majesty, you can't—"

But Fankel had already spread his wings and flew away with the small map in his mouth.

The sun was already high, and Winkel found Lavelle in the middle of the desert, far, far away from Mumulin.

The dragons don't need to look at the map; the vermin summon a dark orb in the middle of the dune, an "underworld" effect. Although his minions may not be able to see the thick shadows, Vai

queue

done. He could also smell the bats, Mel Lin, their servants... and most importantly, his niece.

On other occasions, Fankle will announce his presence stylishly or surreptitiously activate his blinking ring. But this time, he didn't do that. This pest brings only fire and destruction.

Instead, Vankel activated his [Charged Attack] Pe

k, and released a house-sized fireball into the dark sphere.

The resulting explosion turns the sand into molten glass, shredding the vampires and other horrific vermin disguised within. The shadow disappeared before his fire, the effect lost.

[Dark underworld fields are ruined!

As the hazy orb disappears, the sun casts a bright light over the area. Julie, his poor niece, was tied up in thick black chains and wearing a nose muff; a disgusting vampire, whom he thought was Lucy Lavelle, escaped him thanks to a purple light shield. Attack; Mel Lin stood nearby, a pipe in one hand and a strangely familiar bottle in the other. Vankel killed all their minions.

Long's eyes immediately turned to his niece, and this scene made him very angry. Her scales were covered in bruises, and one of her horns was cut like a twisted trophy. She looked up at her uncle hopefully, trying to break free and be with him, but she was too young and too weak to do so.

Unfortunately, these cowards keep getting close to Jolie and using her as a shield. Wink knew his flames wouldn't hurt her, but the explosion might.

"To think I brought you alive," Lovely snarled, a wailing magic book floating in front of her, and Mel Lyn placed the bottle in the sand, then blew on his pipe and danced around it. "What a mistake... [Soul Sacrifice: Unstoppable Magic]."

By sacrificing a stolen soul for each spell, Lucy Lave

e's spell checker will automatically succeed against you!

"I know you can't resist the sweet, wonderful taste of dragon's blood," growled Winkle. "Your desire for this indescribable pleasure brought about your undoing. You touched my niece, and for the crime you committed against me you shall be put to death!"

"A dragon taking care of another dragon?" Lucy teased him, laughing to herself. "The only thing that matters in this world is power." (Shadow Chain). "

Black chains identical to the ones holding Julie captive appear around Winkle, trying to trap him. He broke them with ease, his royal cloak sparkling.

Movement ability is reduced by your [Golden Emperor's Cloak].

"I promise you, fight," warned Wankel, who was very angry indeed. "I won't hold anything back."

"Then let's get this over with," she replied with smug haughtiness. "Because I won't let you or anyone get in the way of my ambitions."

Winkle's reply was to pounce on her like an eagle pounces on a mouse, talons extended. He activated the [Fire Crown], and his body emitted a powerful flame that burned the map in Mort's hand; the dragon turned into a meteor and fell on the insect.

However, as he closes the gap between his enemy and himself, Merlin's bottle begins to open of its own accord; Fankle finally recognizes it as the thing that trapped Fairy Mort. Do these fools think the elves can save them? It just means the dragons can have more experience!

But instead of releasing another monster that died in his hands, the bottle began sucking in air and sand.

Warning: [Dragon Binding Bottle] by??

If you're dragged in, you'll be [banished] to a pocket dimension!

Before Fankle knew what hit him, the bottle transformed into a giant whirlpool, dragging him towards him; the dragon suddenly found himself having to try and fly back to avoid being trapped by it. He immediately activated [Spell Purification], believing it could defeat the sorcery! It weakened the power of the vortex, but could not eliminate it.

"Everything is going smoothly," Lovely gloated, skipping pages in the book while Mel Lin concentrated on singing. "[Doublecast]."

Lucie Lave

e can now cast two spells at the same time!

[Dragon Binding Bottle] was negated by [Immovab -]

Your (spell cleaning) and [immobile perks have been invalidated!

His favorite Pe

K stopped working, leaving him defenseless and closer to prison. Vankel immediately attempted a final exorcism, but the vampire used a [Counter-Spell] to negate it. Fankel tried to burn it to ashes, but watched as his breath was sucked into it.

"Minion!" Vai

queue

shouted. "Slave! Come back to me!"

Victor Dalton couldn't teleport today.

What's the matter? How could his chief of staff strike at this critical moment?

Lave

"Working on your perks, cutting back on your critical resources, and isolating you from them will take time," e said confidently. "But brains will always triumph over brawn. With your defeat, I will receive a [Hero Badge] ], and closer to Valhalla.”

Vankel let out a furious roar and struggled in vain to free himself from his bonds. His sweet niece looked up at him, her once hopeful eyes now filled with fear and despair.

It can't end like this! He is the great red dragon, Mu

Emperor of the mountains, the richest man in the world!

However, the rich always win because the truly rich have friends.

[Master's Shield] activates! You gain the status of [Restoration].

Behind Winkel's enemy, a space crack opened, and a winged black knight rushed in.

Before Lavelle and Merlin could turn around to face the new threat, Manlin Victor was upon them, holding a scythe in one hand and a strange cannon in the other . He pointed his weapon at the bottle and fired.

Although ridiculously weak compared to Winkle's own fireballs, the explosion shattered the bottle, throwing Merlin backwards and blowing dust in all directions.

"Minion!" Vankel rejoiced as the vortex collapsed and faded away, landing him safely on the beach.

"Lave

e, there’s one thing you don’t understand,” Ma

Mocking Bat, he bravely swung his scythe before trying to cut her down. "You can't break a winning team!"

The vampire moved to avoid the attack, only to realize, too late, that she had been tricked. At the last second, Manling Victor's scythe tilted from her neck towards her book, cutting it in half.

Immediately the grimoire let out its last wail, and hundreds of screaming souls fled the strange pages, only to return to the scythe of Manlin Victor. By the time Bat-Ravel managed to conjure a shield between her and the Chief of Staff, her prized weapons were reduced to ash.

You're back on [Spell Cleaning]!

"Winning team?" his chief of staff's steed complained as Manlin Victor ran back to his master. "You sycophant, you made me run across the desert without stopping!"

The vampire's eyes bulged in shock, but he managed to regain his composure. Julie struggled against her bonds to escape, but the witch held on to her spell. "This isn't over yet," she promised. "I'll find another way."

"No, you won't."

Mel Lin emerged from the dust cloud, almost as angry as Fankle himself. The fairy piper had stopped playing and given up his disguise, revealing his true, ugly wooden face.

"This is your last chance." Merlin warned the vampire, raising his cloak to reveal a black emblem. "Death to them, or death to us" He threw the thing to Lavelle, formed a fairy ring by tearing apart space, and then ran away like a coward as Vankel tried to burn him to ashes.

"You...you traitor!" She was not like a truly dignified chief of staff. She completely lost her composure because of her master's abandonment.

"Looks like you picked the wrong guy," Manlin Victor said. "This is the end."

"I'm going back to the darkness," Lavelle replied, her ugly mammalian face contorting into a snarl and her eyes turning red. "I can change my identity! You can't find me without a map!"

"As we speak, our servants have sacked your hideouts in Gadmani and the Whispering Woods." "You will not run away. You have heard your master's forgiveness. Face it. , either you kill us here, which you won’t, or they will help us kill you. You force me!”

The vampire glanced at the [Black Crown], clearly afraid of using it for some reason, then turned to Winkle. The emperor could see the emotions in her eyes changing from anger, to fear, to despair.

good.

The dragon roared and breathed a stream of flames at her. Lovely raised the Black Badge in response, and the object shattered into black dust, releasing its power.

A burst of purple elven energy surrounded her, even repelling Winkle's flames. The vampire underwent a transformation that turned her flesh purple and tore her clothes. She grew huge wings, sharp claws and fangs. She grew in size, almost as big as Winkle himself, more like a giant primitive bat than a Manling.

Lucie Lave

e used [Black Top] and was in the [Fairy Beast] category.

The abomination hissed, her hands filled with dark magic. Fighting a dragon is foolish, but she desires death and she's willing to try.

In response, Fankle immediately activated his [Spell Clearing] and fired a fireball at her. The creature transformed into a swarm of bats, spreading out to dodge missiles before quickly returning to the dragon's back. When he turned to face her, Winkle noticed she threw a ball of dark energy at him.

It failed.

His [Spell Reflection] is activated, sending the orb back to the witch. Her own pellet struck her in the head, causing her to fall.

"But you don't understand," Winkle said as he played. "You did what only the evil Fulibon and the Elf Grasshopper could do. You pissed me off."

The dragon saw fear and horror in the bat's eyes; as he should. Fankle spread his wings, was covered in flames, and charged at her with furious fury, a winged embodiment of destruction.

She tries to stop him with a barrage of spells - black squares and frozen stars - but they are reflected back at her. He responded by punching her in the chest, breaking her ribs and causing her to cough up thick black blood. But he didn't stop and kept hitting her.

As a last ditch effort, she summoned a purple shield to protect herself, and Winkle struck it with his claws, shaking the desert with each blow.

Manlin Victor, who had wisely stayed out of his master's range, finally decided to speak out. "Your Majesty, can I borrow your huge vitality?!"

"This will be paid out of your salary!"

Always ready to serve his master free of charge, Manlin Victor sheathed his two weapons and raised his shield with both hands. "Hell explodes!"

Magic cackled from his fingertips, then transformed into a dazzling purple light that rivaled Winkle's own breath in power and brilliance. The laser penetrated Lave

e's defenses evaporated from the left side of her abdomen. Smoke sizzled from the wound.

You sacrificed a quarter of your HP!

Fankle punched the unsuspecting Bat in the face, burning it. Then keep going, even as she retaliates with claws and fangs. It burned her rather than hurt him, and while she did some damage, it didn't even itch!

"Let go, dog!" Julie encouraged him with her mouth. "Let go, dog!"

Through (Master's Shield, you have recovered all your HP!

This is Winkle’s first serious fight since Brandon Moore.

Had she confronted Winkle while he had yet to rediscover the great system the dragon had created, she might have been a challenge...but for every time she struck, the dragon would strike back ten times. Her spell bounced back, and without her magic or trickery, the bat couldn't fend him off. He didn't leave her any chance, using his superb fighting skills to block her punch and retaliate with a fatal blow of his own.

Unlike Winkle, she is alone.

"Hell blast!" Manlin Victor repeated this process over and over again, overwhelming the witch with his spell. He waited for Winkle to regain his strength and then started fighting again; when Lave

e attempts to escape Vai by turning into a swarm of bats

queue

, he shoots them all to force her to undergo transformation. He drained more life than its claws, yet this time, the dragon let him play.

Because this is not a battle.

This is an execution.

"Please stop..." the monster croaked, her wings broken and her flesh burned to the bone. "I surrender...I surrender...I will pay you...I will pay you...apples...gold..." What..."

Winkle was kind and kind. He accepted the insult to his person....but by threatening his family, she had committed lese majeste. There is no forgiveness for this.

Rather than pity her, he grabbed Bat by the shoulders, held her in place, and opened his mouth.

"[Charge: Dragon's Breath]!"

Within seconds, his powerful flames turned sand to glass and her body to dust. Just as he promised, by threatening his niece, Bat Lavere was reduced to ash.

She doesn't even drop a badge, and there's no loot.

Congratulations! By surrounding and destroying the Night Blade boss, you gained four levels in [Augustus]! You earned [Shining Majesty] and [Golden Path] career perks!

With Lave

With e's death, the shackles that bound Jolie turned into shadowy dust, finally freeing her. "Uncle!" shouted his lovely niece.

"It's all over, Julie," Vankel promised, rushing to her side and cradling his niece in his arms. "The evil bat is gone!"

"Am I..." She raised her head and looked at him with those lovely eyes. "Am I still grounded?"

"Of course not," Winkle reassured her. "You're not grounded anymore."

"Thank you, uncle!" Julie replied, the tears disappearing from her eyes, and she jumped out of his arms. Winkle was speechless and felt cheated.

However, when gold rained down from the sky to reward his good deeds, the dragon was immersed in the joy of absolute victory.

"Is it raining gold?" asked Manlin Victor's mount, awed by Winkle's growing wealth.

"It's a golden shower," the White House chief of staff responded in a sarcastic tone. "This is a matter for the president
