In the Changbai Mountain area, the ancestors of Nurhachi, a Jurchen who originally belonged to the Tungus tribe, were invaded by the "Seven Surnames Savages" and were beaten to a bloody head. They were forced to migrate to other places. After that, they passed through several areas and spread to him. He has the foundation of his father and grandfather, and he himself is relatively strong.
My grandfather valued Nurhachi very much and often took him with him. The eldest son of his grandfather, Aixinjueluo Lidun, was very capable and had a son-in-law, Atai. Because Lidun's in-law Wang Gao (gao three times) had served as the commander of the Jianzhou Guard Capital, there was a rift with Ming, and he was captured by the minister of the Hada Department. Li Chengliang was After obtaining Wang Gao, Li Chengliang directly killed Wang Gao as the commander-in-chief of Liaodong. As a human son, A Tai immediately rushed to Ye He's tribe, hoping to unite to avenge his father. Because it was the Hada tribe who captured Wang Gao and handed him over to Li Chengliang, Atai directly handed over his hatred to the Hada tribe, and Li Chengliang defeated Atai.
Atai then moved to the vicinity of Shenyang to plunder. After Li Chengliang heard about it, he was furious and said: "If Atai is not captured, it will eventually be the source of disaster." Using this as a reason to send troops to kill Atai, he ordered the troops to attack Atai's home base: Gule City.
Nurhachi's grandfather Jue Chang'an was shocked when he heard this, because compared to the Ming Dynasty, the Jurchen tribes were like frogs fighting in a bullfight, so how could they win? He immediately sent his son Takshi (the father of Nurhaci) and Nurhaci to Gule City to warn Atai not to continue to be at odds with Ming, which was actually a road to death. Atai already respected Jue Changan very much, but how could the hatred of his father's murder be dissipated in an instant, so he could only hesitate all day long.
During this hesitation, Li Chengliang's army had already arrived and besieged the city. Atai was bound to be executed. A Jurchen tribe member named Nikan Wailan came to Li Chengliang's army. In order to please the Ming Dynasty, he flattered that he was willing to go to Gule City to persuade him to surrender, and he was sure to kill Atai. What he said was true. He was originally a Jurchen, and he could enter the city of Gule in just a few words while being guarded by the same Jurchen. After Nikan Wailan entered the city, he shouted cruelly: "Since the soldiers from the Celestial Dynasty are coming, there is no reason to release your commander! You might as well kill Atai and submit. The Grandmaster has an order. If you can kill Atai, you can do it." For this is the lord of the city!" As for whether Li Chengliang said such words, or whether he promised Nikan Wailan that his words were his own, it no longer matters. Soon after, Ataizhen was killed by his subordinates, "Gao was the only surviving descendant."
As soon as the city gate opened, Li Chengliang's army pressed in. The people in the city were frightened and were already armed with swords. But if only Atai was killed in Gule City and more than half of the people were slaughtered, there would be no subsequent revenge. Three generations of Jue Chang'an, Takeshi and Nurhaci were all in the city. When the people were being slaughtered, it was no longer realistic to expect the soldiers to kill them in a differentiated manner. In this way, amidst the miserable screams and the splatter of blood, Nurhaci witnessed his father and ancestor fall in front of him, and before he died, he still shouted something like "Go quickly, go quickly!" I believe this is true. This young man in his twenties will also leave a lasting mark in his lifetime memory. Nurhachi ran out of the city, but in the end he was unable to defeat ten thousand people. He was captured by the Ming army. After being pressed into the army, he accidentally escaped.
As for how Nurhachi escaped, later generations have different opinions. It may be that Nurhachi was really handsome, but one said that he was appreciated by Mrs. Li Chengliang because of his beauty and let him go privately. Another theory seems somewhat believable, saying that it was because Nurhachi was originally raped. Li Chengliang and his wife regarded him as their godson. Li Chengliang was already old at the time and was unwilling to kill such a young man, so he let Nurhachi go. Now that Nurhaci was released, he saw Li Chengliang and cried: "Why were my ancestors and father killed? You are my sworn enemy! What are you saying?" Li Chengliang apologized: "It was not intentional, it was a mistake!" Nurhaci I always hated this incident in my heart, even after I killed Nikan Wailan in revenge, I still regarded this as one of the seven major hatreds towards Ming.
Li Chengliang was very considerate and wanted to give himself a step down, so he immediately ordered his subordinates to find the remains of Nurha Chi's ancestor and father, put them in coffins, and return them to Nurha Chi. Li Chengliang's love for Nurhachi is still very strong. Moreover, Li Chengliang also knows that he is not a pure-blood Han Chinese. His great-great-grandfather is named Li Ying, a Korean from North Korea. In terms of national origin, he attaches great importance to Nurhaci. There is nothing wrong with that. Nurhaci was only a twenty-five-year-old young man at this time. What did he have? He only had thirteen pairs of armor. Unfortunately, he had few horses, few people, and very little property such as cattle and sheep. "Although I don't have the ability to fight with the Celestial Empire, I must kill this beast Nikan Wailan to avenge my ancestors and father."
