After writing this experience, anyone with a discerning eye will know at a glance that Su Yonglin is confronting the unusual birth experience of Song Taizu Zhao Kuangyin claimed by the Song Dynasty official.
And by the way, I also recounted the unusual birth experiences of famous emperors in previous dynasties.
In the end there is only one central idea.
He is a human being, not a monster.
What has been claimed by the past dynasties is all false and written to deceive people. Everyone is born at the same time and is just an ordinary baby.
No one can be recognized as a future emperor or ruler when he is a baby. Even if it is the eldest son of the emperor himself, everyone still has to worry about whether he can live to adulthood.
So he is the human emperor, not the emperor.
He became the Emperor of the Ming Dynasty only after he pulled up the rebels and fought a bloody battle with the Jin Army on his own. He became the emperor because of his great achievements in defeating and destroying the Jin Kingdom. His achievements are the main thing, and everything else is secondary.
This is the Human Emperor, not the so-called Emperor.
This is shocking enough, but the most shocking thing about this preface is his self-reported family background experience.
Not only did he confess his origins in a Southern Song Dynasty official family, he also confessed his family's smuggling of salt, and even confessed that he had killed the corrupt official who tried to enslave him.
This kind of thing is too secretive and detailed, and people have no way to doubt the authenticity of these things, so in the end we can only conclude that everything the emperor said is true, and he did not lie.
Since these are true, then what follows is also true.
He visited many state capitals in the southeastern region of the Southern Song Dynasty and saw countless horrific scenes with his own eyes. He saw people exchanging children for cannibalism, saw people eating salt from dried urine, and saw a large number of people gathering in the winter. Freezing to death on the street early in the morning.
All these things deeply stimulated him and made him reflect on what was wrong with the world he lived in. Why were some people so happy and others so miserable, without even basic food, clothing, and shelter?
Finally, he discovered that the cause of the problem came from the Southern Song Dynasty court, from the group of masters, from the group of scholar-bureaucrats, and from the group of landlords.
They greedily grabbed profits and wantonly exploited and oppressed the peasants. Instead of stopping them, the court did not stop them at all. They colluded with them and were extremely corrupt from top to bottom. They did everything and were rotten to the core.
He once wanted to pass the imperial examination and become an official and live a happy and prosperous life, but the suffering people made it impossible for him to convince himself to join the gang, so he decided to take a different path and change everything.
And now, he is close to achieving his goal.
His preface to his self-narration is not only seen by literate people, but also by illiterate people who read it aloud.
In a relatively short period of time, Su Yonglin's autobiography as emperor had spread throughout the Ming Dynasty.
Regardless of whether they were literate or illiterate, people clearly expressed a high degree of concern. During that period, the content of chats between old men and women in the village were all written by Su Yonglin.
Compared with ordinary people who simply compared before and after and came to the conclusion that the emperor kept his word and was a good emperor, the feelings of people with higher levels of knowledge were obviously different.
After Su Yonglin's large-scale attack on Confucian scholars, tens of thousands of Confucian scholars were convicted and suppressed, but this does not mean that there are no Confucian scholars in the world.
The most reactionary group was arranged by Su Yonglin to work as coolies in Jishi Prefecture. There were also Confucian scholars from other places who were less reactionary or who had hidden themselves.
These Confucian scholars were very shocked when they read Su Yonglin's autobiography. They were shocked by Su Yonglin's frankness and that Su Yonglin made public the rules of the game within the ruling class for thousands of years, letting them know that the emperor was a human being, not a god.
It can be said that Su Yonglin's article exposed an eternal conspiracy in one breath, and put the ugliness of the ruling class for thousands of years in the sun for everyone to appreciate, so that everyone in the world can see it and know it.
This is completely different from the concept of harmony between heaven and man pursued by Confucian scholars, and also completely different from the political ideal they pursue of the Holy Emperor ruling from above.
Su Yonglin opened the lid, letting everything be exposed to the world, allowing people in every province and every state capital in the entire Ming Dynasty to see it all. And as time went by, millions or even tens of millions of people in "Hongwu" "Political Commentary" will spread further and further, exposing all this.
The emperor was never the emperor, and it was never destined. He became the emperor just because of his strength. The words "Emperors take turns to come to my house this year" were right.
Two hundred years of efforts by the Song Dynasty to restore the sanctity of imperial power and return Confucianism to the status of the country's constitution have all been in vain.
Because even many illiterate people learned about the life story of the Hongwu Emperor Su Yonglin of the Ming Dynasty by listening to others reading it aloud. They talked about the emperor's origins, his family experience, and why he founded the Ming Dynasty.
Su Yonglin told people all this in the preface.
This is his purpose.
The Confucian scholars were shocked and panicked, and when they read the text, they were even more shocked.
What Su Yonglin wrote at the beginning of the text was one story after another, one after another, true stories that he experienced when he lived in the Southern Song Dynasty.
Because of his family's smuggling of salt, he was able to have in-depth contact with all strata of society in the Southern Song Dynasty, from the bureaucratic class to the poor people. He had in-depth contact with all aspects of the entire society. He saw the glory of human nature and the ugliness of the human heart. .
He has seen the noblest people and the meanest people.
The appearance of two completely different attributes in the same person made him very curious, so he began to study and analyze the growth experiences of these people, and explored bit by bit why they were noble and why they were despicable.
Faced with the suffering of the people, he did not sigh or give alms, but wanted to understand why people were suffering, why farmers could never have enough to eat, and why the bottom class of society was always so miserable.
When his father and grandfather gave him a negative answer and did not support his inquiry, he asked a question that touched the depths of his soul - has it always been like this, is it right?
He was unable and unwilling to accept this answer. He wanted to explore and figure out why the people of the Southern Song Dynasty were so difficult and lived like ants.
He started his research from social performance, and then discovered that the overall system of the Southern Song Dynasty was such a system whose basic existence was to squeeze the people.
The birth of this system was never to make people eat well and live a good life, but to make it easier for the rulers to do things.
When rulers have better ideas for action, people's lives will be relatively easier.
And when the rulers have no good ideas and just want to have fun, or want to carry out large-scale construction projects or launch wars, the cruelty of this system will be truly reflected.
This system allows you to give, but it is more of a gift in nature, telling you that what you are given is a gift, not a normal reward.
But it is not difficult to take it from you. Exploitation is the background of this system. Taking everything from the hands of the bottom and giving it to the upper class to enjoy freely is the background of this system.
Therefore, Su Yonglin realized that the fundamental reason for the suffering of the people was this system that used exploitation and oppression to create stability.
If this system is not broken, the people will never have a good life, even if they deserve such a good life.
However, when Su Yonglin wanted to launch an action to break this system, he found that his power was too weak, but the rulers had extremely powerful forces of oppression and exploitation, and were able to operate this cruel system.
He thought about it and couldn't find a way to change this situation.
From the inside, starting with his own identity, he found he couldn't break it.
So what to do?
