The V16 inline also has eight cylinders. The shape of the cabin area has changed from a single corridor of "|】[|" to a double corridor of "|[]|". The change in length is relatively limited.

If you want to reduce the power, you have to talk to the railway bureau.

The Railway Bureau was idle and sent a bunch of technicians responsible for locomotive maintenance to join in the fun.

For example, if a V-type engine is modified, will the area in the middle of the engine room be wide enough to place bunk beds horizontally? Just make two capsule-style horizontal nests for the driver and lookout, which saves half the length of the compartment.

This means leaving 70 centimeters of aisles on the left and right sides. And from the driver’s perspective, sleeping directly in front of a 2,200-kilowatt engine would be too exciting!

But moving the water tank forward is really good.

The 2200 kilowatt V16 is not as wide as two meters. It contains some emergency functions and cooling pipes, which are about 1.6 meters. If the channels on both sides are deducted, the side wall can indeed integrate two water tank walls with a width of less than 20 centimeters, and it will not even The sandbox pipes that go down from the roof of the car can also serve as a buffer layer to prevent the disaster from expanding in the event of an explosion.

Next, redesign the fuel tank structure and shorten it a bit.

But still only a little.

The real solution is to change the V12 and reduce two cylinders longitudinally. The explosion power is reduced. In addition, the length of the cylinder can be reduced by almost 1.5 meters.

This is a bit of a peek at the blind spot of the motorcycle factory. Their research on V12 may not be as good as that of the automobile factory.

It can be done, but the power loss exceeds a quarter, the prototype test power can only reach 1600 kilowatts, and the reliability is not as good as the V16 version.

Both the V16 and V12 engines were subjected to endurance tests under the supervision of Railway Bureau personnel. The results were not surprising. Because the V12 stopped twice during the endurance test, the Railway Bureau decided to use the V16 version.

Then the Railway Bureau began to step up manufacturing. The locomotive engines were too big and the manufacturing cycle was very long. It took a year to arrange the four units required by the Dark Land.

While we are building it here, we are also communicating with the automobile factory, hoping that the automobile factory can come up with a semi-trailer for transporting parts.

As for how to transport the semi-trailers transporting motorcycle parts across the scourge between floating islands... this is what the automobile factory needs to consider.
