First of all, this kind of writing method that combines Cthulhu, SCP and traditional weirdness felt good when I conceived it, but after I actually started writing it, I found it very difficult.
It is difficult to grasp the need to maintain the mystery while also creating a bizarre and necessary horror atmosphere. It may be due to my lack of writing skills. In short, I feel that it is difficult to grasp it in the later stage.
The direction of some plots in the early stage deviated. In order not to let my hard work go to waste, I made major changes to the early plots, which I did not expect.
I also admire myself for having the energy to do this.
Due to the inaccurate grasp of the plot and rhythm, the results were not good on the day it was released. Twenty-six thousand collections were less than seven hundred first orders, and the subscription ratio was 40:1. I was confused on the spot.
This is completely different from the results of "Rewind" when it was first released!
I felt that the book had collapsed, and my mood was greatly affected. After communicating with the editor Ziliang, my mood improved a little. Plus, I might have a strong energy, so I didn't want to accept my fate.
After being put on the shelves, I worked hard for a month, shortened my rest time, and maintained at least 6,000 words of updates every day after get off work.
That month, the average daily bookings increased at a rate of about 50, and soon passed 1,500, and then 2,000...
Coupled with the arrival of recommendations, "Wood Sculpture" has once again become a high-quality product.

However, I feel that the foundation of "Wood Sculpture" is still very poor. Whether it is plot or rhythm, whether it is the outline direction or the story, I have been constantly reflecting and improving, and never stopped.
Pen strength is part of the reason. What I wanted to write could not be written to the level I expected. I used too much force in some places and was weak in some places.
And rushing to start the book without preparation is another part of the reason. I will pay attention to these and improve them in the future.
In terms of the final ending, all the holes that need to be filled have been filled, and everything that needs to be explained has been explained. It is inevitable that Shen Xing will cooperate with Void Demon Yan Junze to deal with "him" in the future, but there is really no need to continue this plot.
Writing such a watery story is also a kind of torture for me.
Because in the later period, I have deviated from the weird, supernatural and bizarre writing style I defined for "Wood Sculpture", there is really no need to continue writing it.
