Agnes watched in amusement as Rhaenys carefully walked down the stairs holding up the hem of her skirt, and couldn't help but ask aloud: "Are long skirts so scary?"
Rhaenys looked up at Agnes and nodded vigorously.
"Of course, after all, I can't see my feet or the steps below, so - ah -"
Rhaenys stepped on the wrong foot and lost her balance. Agnes subconsciously reached out to Rhaenys and tried to support her, but someone was faster than her.
Agnes saw a burst of black mist pass by, and Trevor Accardo appeared behind Renes, holding the piano case in one hand, and holding Renes' arm tightly with the other. Stopping Rhaenys's downward trend.
Agnes narrowed her eyes slightly and looked around. There was no one else in the stairwell except the three of them.
"Thank you, Mr. Accardo." Renes took her arm out of Trevor Accardo's hand with some embarrassment and thanked her softly.
"Uh, you're welcome." Trevor replied, looking a little uncomfortable.
Rhaenys did not speak any more, but stretched out one hand and held one of Agnes's arms tightly; with the other hand, she slightly lifted the hem of the long skirt and walked down carefully.
Trevor Accardo also carried the piano case and silently walked to the side of the two of them, and walked down together.
"Is Mr. Accardo ready to go back?" Agnes asked Trevor Accardo without having anything to say.
"Yes." Trevor Accardo nodded and said, "I have something else to do tonight."
Agnes glanced at Renes, who looked expressionless next to her, and said to Trevor Accardo: "Mr. Accardo is willing to take over these two pieces of music when he has his own affairs. Thank you so much for playing the job.”
Trevor Accardo smiled and shook his head and said: "Actually, it's not too busy, but I have some things to do in the past two days. After these two days of things are busy, there will be nothing important in the next month. You can fully devote yourself to rehearsals.”
"The most important thing is that it is really a blessing to encounter such clean and pure music. I am not willing to give up this opportunity." Trevor Accardo said with a hint of emotion.
"Praise the Mother Goddess." Trevor Accardo couldn't help but draw a triangle and then a vertical line on his chest.
"Praise the Mother Goddess." Agnes paused slightly and made the same prayer gesture.
"Mr. Accardo is also a devout believer in the Mother Goddess?" Agnes asked casually.
Trevor Accardo smiled, nodded and said, "Of course."
Agnes nodded without saying anything more, and the three of them walked downstairs in silence.
...
Trevor Accardo saw Agnes and Rhaenys together in the carriage.
He knocked lightly on the car window, and Agnes reached out to open it.
"Is there anything else Mr. Accardo needs?" Agnes asked.
Trevor tilted his head slightly, glanced at Rhaenys, and then said to Agnes: "I will spend another day getting familiar with you tomorrow, and I will come find you the day after tomorrow."
"Okay, see you the day after tomorrow." Agnes said with a smile.
"See you the day after tomorrow." Trevor Accardo nodded, and he turned and walked towards his carriage.
Agnes stared at his leaving figure for a few seconds, reached out to close the car window, lowered the curtains, turned to the coachman outside and said, "Go to Best Street first."
The carriage started to move slowly, and there were only Agnes and Rhaeness in the carriage. Agnes asked the maid Hetty to stay outside.
Agnes couldn't help laughing when she looked at Rhaenys, who had seemed particularly quiet since being supported by Trevor Accardo.
"Why, you feel so embarrassed because you almost fell down accidentally?" Agnes couldn't help but joked.
Rhaenys rolled her eyes at Agnes and stretched out her hand to straighten the hem of her skirt.
Agnes ignored Renes's eye roll and asked curiously: "Do you know Mr. Accardo?"
Rhaenys nodded and said, "Yes, I met him when I was studying in Celia."
"Is he from the church?" Agnes asked thoughtfully.
"Yes." Rhaenys nodded. Another explanation said: "He taught us pharmacy at that time."
"So, he is your teacher?" Agnes couldn't help but laugh, and walked next to Renes and said, "You made a fool of yourself in front of your teacher today, so you are so embarrassed that you don't want to talk?"
"No." Rhaenys replied immediately as if she didn't care.
Agnes raised the corners of her lips and said nonchalantly: "It feels like Mr. Accardo is paying close attention to you."
Renes smoothed her hair around her temples and explained casually: "Maybe it's because I left a deep impression on him at the time."
"Then you and Accardo have a good relationship?" Agnes asked with a smile.
"Well, actually I don't have a very good relationship with him." Renes hesitated and said with an embarrassed look on her face.
"Why?" Agnes looked at Renes strangely and asked, "I think Mr. Accardo seems to be a good person."
Rhaenys shook her head almost imperceptibly and said, "I hate people who cause me trouble for some inexplicable reasons."
Agnes observed Rhaenys carefully and found that Rhaenys was speaking very seriously, without any sign of joking.
Agnes lowered her head slightly, leaned next to Renes, and asked with a smile: "Then do you hate me? When I first joined the team..."
Renes frowned, interrupted Agnes, and said, "I don't hate it. You are new to the case and have no experience. It is normal for problems to arise, but the nature is different."
Agnes asked jokingly: "So, what impression did Mr. Accardo leave on you that made you almost reluctant to talk to him?"
Rhaenys' face gradually became ugly, and she tugged at the fabric of her skirt viciously, as if the fabric had something against her.
"He is just a picky obsessive-compulsive person. He also has a bad temper and curses others when he has nothing to do."
Agnes, dumbfounded, snatched the fabric of Rhaenys' dress back from her hands.
"Okay, okay, I understand."
Renes deliberately showed a proud smile. She raised her eyebrows at Agnes and said, "So before I left that training, I pointed at his nose and scolded him. You didn't even know that he was What a wonderful look on his face.”
Agnes didn't know how to answer for a moment. She opened her mouth and just looked at Rhaenys with indescribable eyes.
The roots of Rhaenys's ears gradually turned red, and she glared at Agnes fiercely.
"Why are you staring at me!"
Agnes couldn't help but laugh.
Rhaenys pulled Agnes over, fixed Agnes's hands, and then scratched Agnes' armpit with one hand.
"I won't laugh, I won't laugh, haha," Agnes smiled, twisting to avoid Rhaenis' hand, and begged, "Please let me go, I won't laugh."
Rhaenys scratched her fiercely a few more times and threatened: "You are not allowed to tell anyone else about this."
Agnes smiled and nodded repeatedly.
Rhaenys released her hold on Agnes.
Agnes sat back down, and while arranging her clothes and hair that were messed up during her previous struggle, she asked: "So, Mr. Accardo usually stays in Cilia?"
Rhaenys nodded.
