"It is naturally the duty of Buddhism to persuade people in the world to do good. Most living beings have their own troubles. Buddhism can transform all troubles and eliminate all kinds of confusion. It is also our responsibility to save all living beings."
The monk said.
As a monk, you must have the ability to read people's orders.
He can naturally see the problems in the emperor's words. The first part is just fiction, and the latter part is reality. After all, if the function of educating people to be good and helping the emperor maintain the stability of the country is useless,
Those emperors would not see Buddhism flourish.
"I heard that the most basic Buddhist rules are called "the five virtues and the ten virtues". Its core content is "to do good with one heart and do no evil in everything." Please explain to me, master, what are the "five virtues and the ten virtues". good. "Zhu Youjian said with a smile.
"Your Majesty, you haven't answered my question yet?"
The monk said boldly.
Everything has one, and after two, there must be three, four, five, six, or seven.
If the emperor is allowed to ask this question. How to solve your own problems.
"If it's less than three, after you answer my question, then answer another question of mine, and I will answer the question you asked."
"The most basic principles of Buddhism are the five virtues and the ten virtues. The core content is to "do good with one heart and avoid evil in everything." This is what beginners must learn.
The five principles are: first, not to kill, second, not to steal, third, not to engage in sexual misconduct, fourth, not to lie, and fifth, not to drink alcohol. These five principles are the basic principles for all four disciples of Buddhism, and should be observed by everyone whether they are a monk or a layman. .
1. Killing: The basic concept of Buddhism is that all living beings are equal. The Buddha said that all living beings have Buddha nature and can become Buddhas. The living beings mentioned by the Buddha do not only refer to human beings, but also to the wetness of the fetus and egg, including all the attributes of the four births. Therefore, killing animals not only does not harm human lives, but also does not harm the lives of animals, insects, and ants. Not only are there direct killings, but there are also killings caused by killings; for example, fishermen and hunters are directly killed, and those who sell hunting gear and fish nets are also indirectly assisted in the killing.
In the "Ten Good Karma Sutra", the Buddha said that there are ten benefits of not killing living beings. The first one is to be fearless in giving to all sentient beings. 2. Always show great compassion to all living beings; 3. Permanently break away from all habits of anger and hatred. 4. The body is always disease-free. 5. Long life. 6. Always protected by non-human beings. 7. Never have nightmares and sleep happily. 8. Eliminate the knot of grudges, and all grudges will resolve themselves. 9. There is no fear of evil paths. 10. Life is destined to be heaven.
Some people may say that Buddhism kills people. If a riot invades, doesn't it mean that they have to stretch their necks and wait for death? In fact, this is not the case. Buddhas harm lives with their own selfish desires. As for holding arms to defend the country, it is a manifestation of compassion and bravery. The "Da Dharma Drum Sutra" records: "For example, when King Persani was fighting an enemy country, those soldiers who were not brave enough to eat their husbands' salary were not called husbands." From this we can see that Buddhist killings do not hinder the defense of the country.
2. Stealing: Theft in society can be direct or indirect, tangible or intangible. For example, thieves stealing and bandit robbery are direct thefts. Corrupt officials’ corruption, extortion, fraud, and repudiation are indirect thefts. Debt is a tangible theft, pretending to be public for personal gain, and fishing in troubled waters is an invisible theft. In short, taking something without giving it, or obtaining property by improper means is called theft. The Buddha said that there are ten benefits to not stealing: 1. Accumulating wealth, being a thief, a thief of water and fire, and a son who is not one's beloved, cannot be dissipated. 2. Many people love you. 3. Don’t bully others. 4. Praise from all directions. 5. No harm. 6. Good reputation spreads. 7. Be fearless in dealing with others. 8. Wealth, life, sex, energy, peace and happiness, and eloquence are perfect. 9. Always have the intention to give. 10. Life is destined to last forever.
3. Evil: The four disciples of Buddhism are divided into monks and lay people. Monks are basically gay, while lay people are just evil. The so-called evil sexual intercourse refers to intercourse outside the official spouse, and intercourse at the wrong time and place. In addition, it is prohibited to set foot in any places that may be a cause of evil, such as dance pavilions, singing venues and dormitories. The Buddha said that staying away from evil will also have the following benefits: 1. All roots will be harmonized. 2. Stay away from noise forever. _o_m 3. The world praises it. 4. An Mo can’t invade.
4. Lies: words that are not seen, words that are not seen, hypocrisy and exaggeration, and excuses to cover up, are all lies. Lies not only deceive others, but also deceive oneself.
The Buddha said that if you abstain from lying, you will have the following benefits: 1. Your mouth will always be pure and fragrant with the fragrance of flowers. 2. To be subdued by the world. 3. Speech becomes a testimony and is respected and loved by people and heaven. 4. Always comfort all living beings with loving words. 5. The joy of victory and the purity of the three karma. 6. Make sure your words are correct. 7. Speak. (This chapter is not finished yet!)

Respect is what man and nature follow. 8. Wisdom is supreme but cannot be subdued.
5. Drinking alcohol: Some people think that drinking wine with net wealth does no harm to others, so why is it also listed as a taboo? However, they don’t know that alcohol can mess up the sex, and there are many evils in the world. Don't use wine as a medium. The Four-part Rule states that drinking alcohol has ten and thirty-six faults, such as bad appearance, lack of dignity, loss of reputation, loss of wisdom, causing illness, waste of money, shamelessness, disrespect, falling from a car, falling into the water, etc. A wise man can draw inferences from one instance and draw inferences from other situations. From this, we can see that alcohol is harmful.
The five elements of Buddhism are the conditions for obtaining a human body in the future. However, observing the five evils is only a negative evil. Negative evil is not the ultimate meaning of Buddhism, so people are further encouraged to actively do good.
The Ten Good Deeds: Do not kill, do not steal, do not engage in sexual misconduct, do not lie, do not gossip, do not speak harshly, do not flatter others, do not be greedy, do not get angry, and do not deviate from the Dharma.
1. Not killing living things. Not killing living things means not harming the lives of all things, which is the goodness of stopping killing. Instead of killing yourself, you should do the good deed of releasing lives.
2. Don’t steal. If you don’t steal, it is said that you don’t steal other people’s property. This is the good thing about stopping theft. Rather than stealing from yourself, you should do the good deed of giving.

5. Don’t be divisive. Those who are not divisive mean that they don’t turn to both sides, talk about right and wrong, and make others fight. This is the good way to stop being divisive. Don't be two-tongued and do good things that are harmonious and beneficial.
6. Don’t speak harshly. Those who don’t speak harshly mean that they don’t speak harsh words or insult others. This is the virtue of refraining from speaking harshly. Never speak harshly, but do good deeds with soft words.
7. No frivolous words. Those who do not speak frivolous words are those who do not use frivolous words and make people happy to hear them. This is the good way to stop frivolous words. Instead of talking nonsense, we should do good deeds that are honest and upright.
8. Not being greedy, not being greedy means not being attached to the worldly realm of passion and desire, which is the goodness of stopping greed. Without greed, one should practice pure and pure virtue.
9. Not being angry. Being not angry means not having an angry heart. Being angry at others is the good way to stop anger. Instead of being angry, one should practice kindness and forbearance.
10. Not having wrong views. Being free from wrong views means not being partial to wrong views and holding on to what is not right. This is the goodness of stopping wrong views. Neither have wrong views, but should practice the good deeds of right faith and right views. .
