Jizhou, later known as Santun Camp in the east of Zunhua, Hebei Province.
The largest military town among Jizhou's nine borders, the population was initially set at 85,006 during the Yongle period, and increased to more than 100,000 during the Wanli period.
The Great Wall under its jurisdiction starts from Shanhaiguan in the east and ends at Huilingkou of Juyongguan in the west, which is more than 1,200 miles long.
This section of the side wall is located in the north of the Ming capital and is an important barrier to maintain the safety of the capital. Therefore, the side wall is made of strips of stone and blue bricks and is very strong.
There are three layers of city walls in the Juyongguan area. There are many passes along the Great Wall, which are divided into three defensive sections: east, middle and west.
The military affairs of Jizhou Town are directly related to the safety of the capital, and it is the most important military town among the Nine Borders.
Jizhou Town can be divided into three parts. First is the east.
A series of towns located in the Luan River Basin such as Qian'an, Lulong and Funing defended the enemy from attacking from the eastern pass.
Then comes the middle. The core of the central part is the Santun Camp where the general troops of Jizhou Town are stationed, and there are echoes of Zunhua and Qianxi. This place is surrounded by mountains and has a dangerous terrain to defend against enemies invading from Xifengkou and Qingshankou. When Qi Jiguang was the commander-in-chief of Ji Town, he reinforced the walls of the Santunying many times and built a large number of hollow enemy towers along the Great Wall, turning this place into a strong fortress. He defeated the invading Mongolian tribes many times and captured the director of the Duoyan tribe. The fox's younger brother is bald, so he no longer dares to invade the border.
The most important pass in the west of Ji Town is Gubeikou. Gubei Road is the longest road across the Yanshan Mountains, and after arriving in Miyun, there are not as many towns in the east and central areas that can be taken as a foothold, so the enemy situation here is relatively There are fewer in the central and eastern parts, but once there is an enemy situation, the consequences will be quite serious. For example, during the Gengxu Incident, Anda Khan entered the pass through Gubeikou.
By the middle of the Ming Dynasty, Jizhou Town's military preparedness was depleted and leaks were everywhere. The Gengxu Revolution was easily broken through by the Mongolian army.
In the later period, Jizhou Town was in name only.
Historically, during the Jisi Incident, the Qing army broke into the pass through three routes from Longjing Pass, Hongshan Pass, and Da'an Pass, annihilated the Ministry of Education led by Zhao, and captured Zunhua and Santun Camp. The main force passed through Jizhou and Tongzhou and reached the city of Beijing.
No one in the entire Jizhou town could resist it. As a result, if the Qing army entered and exited uninhabited territory, it would bring unprecedented disaster to North China.
Ming Dynasty's armaments were ruined by corrupt officials. This shows the hatred of corrupt officials.
In fact, Jizhou Town was not at the forefront in the early Ming Dynasty. However, since the Tumubao Incident, the civil servants of the Ming Dynasty have risen. In order to prevent the military generals from rising again, those civil servants have deliberately suppressed the military generals.
In this case, it was normal for Daming to lose a large chassis.
At its peak, the Ming Dynasty had an area of about 11 million square kilometers. When Dao ascended the throne, only 6 million square kilometers were left, nearly half of it.
This shows the hypocrisy of those civil servants.
"Your Majesty, the common people beg your Majesty to avenge the Qi family army."
Not long after Zhu Youjian's team entered Jizhou Town, someone stopped on the road and avenged Zhu Youjian.
"Bring the person here after the search is complete."
After patrolling for so long, he finally found someone who wanted to redress his grievances. Naturally, Zhu Youjian wanted to show off his wisdom and prowess.
With Zhu Youjian's order, the guards quickly dispersed in all directions.
In just one cup of tea, the person who complained was brought to Zhu Youjian by the imperial guards.
"Common people, I beg your Majesty to avenge those Qi soldiers who died unjustly."
When the complainant was still about ten meters away from Zhu Youjian's sedan, he knelt down and shouted.
