The rules of this game are four seasons.
Twenty-four solar terms
Spring: Beginning of Spring, Rain, Waking of Insects, Vernal Equinox, Tomb Sweeping Day, Grain Rain
Summer: Beginning of Summer, Xiaoman, Mangzhong, Summer Solstice, Minor Heat, Great Heat
Autumn: Beginning of Autumn, end of heat, white dew, autumnal equinox, cold dew, frost
Winter: Beginning of winter, light snow, heavy snow, winter solstice, light cold, severe cold
There are twenty-four categories in total, with three cards in each category, and the total number of cards is seventy-two. Each person draws eight cards at the beginning, and you can tell which season they belong to by looking at the back.
For example, Wu Hui could see now that Du Ziming had a combination of three summers, two winters, one spring, and two autumns.
The rules of the game are that each person plays a card in each round, and then draws a card. Keep eight cards in your hand, and the next player will pick up the card, but it must be related to this card. For example, if you play the spring solar term rain, the people below can only take the spring solar term.
But there are exceptions. The beginning of spring can connect to the beginning of winter, the beginning of summer and the beginning of autumn, that is, the beginning of spring can connect to each other. The summer solstice and winter solstice can connect with each other, and the spring equinox and autumn wind can connect with each other.
At the same time, the last solar term of each season can be followed by the beginning of the next solar term, that is, Grain Rain can be followed by the Beginning of Summer.
If there is a situation where no one can pick up the cards after one round, the referee will randomly draw two cards from everyone's hand and throw them into the discard pile, and then each person will draw two more cards.
After the card pile has been touched, the discard pile will be shuffled and become a new card pile.
Until the eight cards in a person's hand are filled with all the solar terms of a season, or until eight cards are filled with the beginning of spring, summer, autumn and winter, winter solstice, summer solstice, spring and autumnal equinox, that person wins and the game ends.
The bets are calculated as fifty per person for the first game, one hundred per person for the second game, and two hundred per person for the third game. After each game, you can choose to quit and admit defeat.
Wu Hui commented: "It's a bit like UNO, a bit like mahjong, and a bit like playing cards."
"Indeed. But this game is pretty good, giving us a chance to escape." Du Ziming nodded.
The deputy did not speak, and the three of them first conducted a trial under the command of the magistrate. Although there is no stakes in the trial, you can test your own strategies in the process. No matter how powerful the simulation in your mind is, there is no guarantee that it is completely correct unless it is implemented in practice.
Verifying your ideas with facts is what smart people do.
Wu Hui looked at his hand.
Rain 2, the beginning of spring, the summer solstice, minor cold, major cold, white dew, and the end of summer.
It's relatively scattered and difficult to gather together.
At the beginning, the referee turns over a card first, which is Beginning of Summer, so Wu Hui can play Summer Solstice and Beginning of Spring.
Or he could choose not to. Of course, Wu Hui did not intend to do this. He played a Beginning of Spring card and touched a Winter Solstice card. At the same time, the temporary goal of this game was determined and the six solar terms of winter were combined.
The reason why it is temporary is because the cards in hand are too scattered at the moment, and maybe I can come across a more suitable one next. It mainly depends on luck.
Of course, unless you are lucky, the opening itself will be random.
Du Ziming played a Qingming card and got an autumn card. Wenshanke played a vernal equinox and drew a winter card.
Being able to see which season the cards in other people's hands are from actually reduces the luck element of this game a lot.
The game continued, Wu Hui quickly knocked down a piece of rain, Du Ziming knocked out Guyu, and Wenshan knocked out Lixia. Spring turned into summer. So Wu Hui played the summer solstice.
Currently, his hand has been replaced by two summers, three winters, one spring and two autumns. What's better is that none of the three winter pictures are repeated. It’s still short of the beginning of winter, with heavy snow and light snow.
Putting together a season is a relatively easy choice because you only need to put together six cards. It's not like the combination of the Beginning of Spring and the Vernal Equinox where you have to collect eight cards. The eight cards are not completely fixed. There are three Beginning of Spring, one Beginning of Summer, three Beginning of Autumn and one Beginning of Winter.
However, the disadvantage is that it is easier to see it in one season, and it may be targeted by opponents. For example, there may be a situation where no one plays a card and then a random deck of cards disrupts your card pattern.
At the same time, you can also deceive your opponent into thinking that you are about to get it all together, and then disrupt your own hand pattern.
Bluffing is also a classic method of poker gambling. Let your opponent think you are about to win and therefore give up. Wu Hui and the other two didn't care much about winning or losing in this game. They mainly wanted to test the feasibility of their own strategies.
In the end, Wenshanke gathered all the solar terms in the summer and won.
After one round, everyone knew what was going on. So everyone officially put down their minds and started gambling on the four seasons weather card game.
In the new start, Wu Hui saw that Du Ziming had four summer cards, two autumn cards, and one winter card. Wenshanke has three spring cards, two autumn cards, two summer cards, and one winter card.
I have two pieces of winter, two pieces of autumn, two pieces of summer, and two pieces of autumn in my hand. Qingming, Grain Rain, Beginning of Summer, Beginning of Summer, White Dew, Autumn Wind, Heavy Snow and Little Cold.
Well...this kind of average is actually the worst. If I have to say it, maybe the two Beginnings of Summer are relatively easy to replace, but the rest are very troublesome.
But there is also an advantage. At least now you can take whatever others play, so the cards in your hand will be updated faster.
The game officially begins.
Wu Hui said that if he loses in the first game, he can continue, but if he loses in the second game, he will quit immediately. Although he had the most chips at his disposal, he couldn't afford to lose three games in a row.
Of course, so does everyone else. Moreover, it sounds impossible for Wu Hui to lose three games in a row.
If he wins the first round and loses the second round, Wu Hui's total chips will be reduced to fifty. If he loses in the third round, it will exceed the critical value, so whether he wins or loses the first round, the result will be the same.
The same goes for Du Ziming and Wen Shanke. So this first round is just at the appetizer stage.
Its nature is similar to the previous test round to familiarize everyone with the rules. People are more inclined to use this round to test and verify their ideas, or to find ways to use some means to confuse their opponents.
In this situation, Du Ziming was the first to grasp his opponent's thoughts and quickly put himself in a dominant position.
Wu Hui also expected it, so he and Wen Shanke gave up the psychological game and concentrated on figuring out a solution from the calculation aspect. Trying to check and balance Du Ziming.
Du Ziming also reacted. Wu Hui was very familiar with him and had so many samples that he could use big data to pick out the optimal solution for the game with Du Ziming. He is also very familiar with Wu Hui, and with the same excellent brain, he can quickly put himself in Wu Hui's perspective and understand his thinking in advance.
Then set a trap.
In the battle of wits and courage between the two, although Wen Shanke is weaker, he cannot be ignored. After no one played a card in the round, Wu Hui and Du Ziming's nearly completed decks were dismantled. Wenshanke was not much better, so everyone could only start over.
