I took the ranger and Gerard quietly back to the small cave. It was dark and silent inside.
After a pause, the ranger took out a crystal bottle from his luggage. With the cold light splashing inside, I found that there was nothing inside except my cloak and messy gravel and hay.
He glanced around, "Were they taken away here?"
I nodded.
*
On the way I learned why Redfield was there.
According to Gerard, the ranger was about to leave the hunter camp, but the little bug driven by Allen happened to crawl into the wooden house, and he recognized the magic wave on the bug at a glance. The purpose of his trip was to bring the spell caster, Allen, back to his mother.
"But, Gerard, why did you come with me?" I sniffed and asked the boy with jet black hair.
"I...I want to ask Mr. Redfield for help with something. If I don't come out, I think there is a high possibility that I will never be able to find him again."
*
"So, what should we do now? Mr. Redfield?" Unexpectedly, Gerard rubbed his hands and asked, "Have you found the 'remaining past'? You should have a way to find the direction, right?"
The ranger glanced at us and spread his palms.
On his gray-black leather gloves lay quietly the copper bell left by Elvi.
He took a few steps towards the rock wall, squatted down and carefully identified the marks on the ground, "Is he lying here?"
"……right."
The ranger gently touched the land, then closed his bloody eyes, knelt down on one knee, and began to pray softly, "Elune, I pray to you sincerely, please guide me in the direction..."
Jingle Bell--
I don't know where the silver brilliance came from, flowing from mid-air, and hugged the ranger into his arms.
"Elune, I pray to you sincerely, please guide me in the direction..." He repeated again and again, and with his low prayers, the lights began to hover around, gently pouring into the copper bell, and soon , the copper bell actually flashed a layer of turbulent silver light.
The light became brighter and brighter, becoming more and more solid, and finally formed a dazzling drop of water!
"Elune, I sincerely pray to you, please guide me in the direction..." With a shout, the water droplets suddenly flashed towards the southwest like arrows, bringing out a strong and powerful wind, which swept the ranger away. The hair was blown up.
At that moment, he opened his eyes, and silver clouds covered his pupils, making his eyes look like they had changed color. He put away the copper bell and walked towards the entrance of the cave first, "Let's go."

I have to thank the Holy Light for sending Gerard. His Holy Light spells and thick cloak saved me from suffering a lot of severe cold.
You read that right, the cloak given to me by the Red Swords was broken.
God knows what kind of fierce fight there had been in the cave, and the buckle and collar of the cloak were almost completely torn off.
It couldn't be worn anymore, so Gerard just gave his to me, and he wrapped the winter bear skin haphazardly around his body.
Of course, I am even more grateful to the Holy Light for sending Redfield. He is a natural tracking master and can always find footprints in the dark forest.
oh! You'd think it would be easy to find a bunch of giant bear footprints in the snow, right?
But in fact this is not the case.
Don't forget, there is a frightening black robe among those monsters. He is a magician. He must have used some kind of magic to make their pedestrians keep flashing in the forest, and often their footsteps will suddenly stop. It stopped, and then suddenly appeared again in another forest ten meters away.
Without Redfield, I must have been lost.

We kept walking deeper into the woods.
