"Is it Buddha??" Manjushri Bodhisattva and Dragon Subduing Arhat were slightly startled at this time, and then looked at the lotus seed.
This, Buddha did not tell them before that this lotus seed actually has the function of keeping in contact with them.
"I just woke up from seclusion." Buddha's voice became deeper and deeper.
Manjushri Bodhisattva and Dragon-Subduing Arhat both know very well that the Buddha is close to running out of oil and lamp, and has lived for too long. His body has long been unable to withstand the erosion of time and can no longer bear it.
He needs every retreat to delay his aging and death.
It seems that when they obtained the lotus seeds and started looking for the future Buddha, the Buddha chose to retreat again.

"Have you found the future Buddha??" The Buddha didn't talk nonsense at this time. He was asking about the result as soon as he opened his mouth.

Manjushri Bodhisattva went to the north, where there were one hundred thousand soldiers and horses from Dali, but there was no movement of the lotus seeds. This meant that among the one hundred thousand soldiers, there was no future Buddha they were looking for.
Arhat Subduing the Dragon has faster legs. In just one month, he has traveled almost all the big cities in Dali, including Beijing. These big cities have a large population and a gathering of heroes. If the Buddha is hidden here in the future, the probability of finding Arhat Subduing the Dragon is very high. big.
But neither did Dragon Subduing Arhat find any traces of the future Buddha.
"Huh?" Buddha's voice was slightly surprised, and then he said, "It shouldn't be. I felt some strange aura in the lotus seeds."

They kept these two lotus seeds carefully and carried them with them at all times. Once there was any change in the lotus seeds, it would be impossible to hide them from them.

Of course Manjushri Bodhisattva needs to explain clearly. What if he can't explain it clearly? He knows very well that the reason why Buddha gave him the lotus seeds is completely out of trust in Manjushri Bodhisattva. Otherwise, such errands would not be his turn. Do.
But what's going on now?
There are two explanations. One is that he actually found traces of the future Buddha, but he didn't know what his ulterior motives were, so he didn't report it.
Another explanation is that my lotus seed has actually changed, but I didn't notice it.
But neither of these two explanations can be accepted by Manjushri Bodhisattva.
He had no ulterior motives, nor did he have any intention of concealing it. It was also not a mistake in his work, and he did not discover the changes in the lotus seeds in time.
But he really didn't find any trace of the future Buddha. He couldn't make up a piece of news.
So this is why Manjushri Bodhisattva is eager to explain, because he really did not do this, so he absolutely cannot admit it.

He naturally knew the character of Manjushri Bodhisattva. Of course he was not that kind of person. Buddha also believed it, so Buddha did not say anything and had no intention of blaming or complaining.
"Manjushri Bodhisattva, of course I know you. You don't need to explain too much." The Buddha's voice came at this time, and then he said: "But if this lotus seed moves strangely, it means that you must have been in contact with the future Buddha."
"It's just that I was in retreat at the time, and I didn't immediately discover that there was Buddha nature in this lotus seed." Buddha explained: "Since I have sensed it, I will never make a mistake. If you think about it again..."
The meaning of the Buddha's words is very clear. The lotus seed cannot be wrong, and the Buddha's perception cannot be wrong. But now Manjushri Bodhisattva insists that he has not seen the future Buddha, nor has he noticed any unusual movements in the lotus seed.
Then there must be a problem in some aspect. There should be some abnormal movement in the lotus seeds, but Manjushri Bodhisattva did not notice it.

"The human race finally won the victory. I approached the one hundred thousand elite soldiers in Dali and carefully observed the changes in the golden lotus seeds." Manjushri Bodhisattva continued: "But unfortunately, I didn't find it. There were no golden lotus seeds. Any changes occur.”
"According to what you said, Buddha, as long as the lotus seeds do not change, it means that there is no trace of the future Buddha."
"I didn't wait for the outcome of the final battle, so I took the lead in leaving the North and returned to Taiyuan City." Manjushri Bodhisattva continued: "After I returned to Taiyuan City, I have been living in this inn, waiting. Since the arrival of the Subduing Dragon Arhat, I haven’t gone anywhere, and I haven’t noticed any changes in the lotus seeds.”
Manjushri Bodhisattva told all his actions to the Buddha and the Dragon Subduing Arhat.
Buddha was silent.
The Dragon Subduing Arhat also fell silent.
He knew everything that happened later, because he came back not long after, so if something happened in the inn, the lotus seeds on his body would also have some reaction.
But the lotus seeds on his body didn't react at all.

"But unfortunately, when I took this golden lotus seed and came to Lu Jiu to test it, I didn't find that Lu Jiu could activate this golden lotus seed." Manjushri Bodhisattva answered honestly.
"That's not right." Buddha spoke again: "The strange movement on your lotus seed probably happened when you were in the North. You must have missed something."
At this time, Buddha seemed to have used his own power again to find out information about the golden lotus seed. However, precisely because of this, Buddha's voice suddenly became weaker.
Manjushri Bodhisattva was silent when he heard this.
If Buddha said this, then this must be the case.
It's just that he really can't remember when exactly this golden lotus seed started to move.
But according to what the Buddha said, the traces of the future Buddha are hidden among the 100,000 people in the north.
"In that case." Buddha spoke again at this time: "There is no point in saying more."
"You two, please take the trouble to make another trip." The Buddha once again stated his principle at this time: "There is no need to go to the North. Those who have died can never be the future Buddha, because the future Buddha is still alive. There is the blessing of Buddha nature in it, and the Buddha's light shines everywhere, so it is impossible for him to die so easily."
"So now the scope has been narrowed." Buddha continued, "The people in the north have gone to Bashu City in the south. You can go to Bashu City to try it out again."
"Respect the decree of the law." Both of them received the order, and now, this is all they can do.
Now we can only continue to search for traces of the future Buddha through elimination.
"It's time to hurry up." Buddha's voice came again: "The energy of heaven and earth has changed. At this time, a ninth-grade master may be born again..."
