"
To summarize, start with the title of the book.
Let's put it this way, I thought about the title of the book for a long time, and finally decided on it based on a flash of inspiration.
I think there is no more suitable word for the title of a book than the four words "Assassin's Misguided Path".
Therefore, to the several book friends who suggested that I change the title of my book, I have to say two things to you——
“Thank you for the suggestion” and “Sorry I have to say no.”
Just explain it briefly.
"Assassin", as the name suggests, mainly refers to the "Witch" path, but of course it can also refer to the original path;
"Wrong way" is the "wrong way" of "Witch", which mainly refers to the "Hunter" path, but of course it can also refer to the original path.
It can be seen from here that if it is changed to any other name, the meaning will be lost.
What follows is the actual summary of volume one.
Let me talk about my overall thoughts first, which can be partly seen from the title of the volume "The Bound Assassin".
I wanted to depict the predicament that the main character was in.
This not only refers to the suppression of the Witch Sect, but also the influence of fate and karma.
I don’t know how well I wrote it, but what I wanted to write about was the process of an ordinary person gradually deviating from his original destiny path because he received additional information.
In this process, he will grow and change.
More importantly, he will bring about the butterfly effect.
Any decision he makes, after being promoted by others, will form a larger wave of fate that will come back and have further impact on him.
Then this influence will make him make more weighty confrontations and stir up bigger waves...
for example.
Let us change the perspective and switch to the perspective of the "Dead Eel Gang" to look at the story of the first volume.
At the beginning, the protagonist is a factory employee. After checking the point, he steals the first assassination commission and cancels it and exchanges it for gold pounds;
This confrontation was indirect, and there was a winner and a loser.
Afterwards, the protagonist becomes the "Assassin" of Sequence 9, receives the second assassination commission, and rewrites the ending with a single thought;
This confrontation is also indirect, with the protagonist relying on his identity as an assassin to take the initiative.
Then, the protagonist becomes the "instigator" of Sequence 8, actively participates in the gang game in the dock area, and dominates the outcome.
This time it became a direct confrontation, with the protagonist directly confronting the new president on the stage.
It is not difficult to see that the protagonist has grown up and the "wave" has become stronger.
Of course, this can be seen as a dramatic routine, but this cannot deny my design in it and my original intention.
Let’s take another example.
The "Hunter" attacks Hugh, the protagonist helps and accidentally kills the punisher.
From reading the original work, we know that there is no such thing.
In other words, even if there is, it is not worth mentioning, so it is obvious that the punisher is not dead.
So what might this thing have looked like without the protagonist's involvement?
I wrote in the article that maybe Hugh would go back later if there was no one to help him, that is, nothing would happen; maybe Hugh could drive away the "hunters"...
All in all, Hugh and his punisher were all safe and sound.
But the protagonist is involved, Hugh is implicated, and the punisher dies.
The character I set for the protagonist is a "good guy" with a high moral level, so that's why there was an emotional loss of control in that chapter, which can be called a "toxic point".
Let’s talk about the protagonist.
Since he is an ordinary person, what is his original destiny?
I have already written down a possible answer——
His superior, accountant York Luka.
In short, the first volume is a story of ordinary people chasing the extraordinary, and also a story of ordinary people transforming into extraordinary people.
The two appear to be the same, but are actually different.
The former focuses on the material world, while the latter focuses on the inner world.
Finally, about the second volume "The Witch of Liberation"——
Without further ado, stay tuned.
