"Yunmen Chengyuan! I have met all the benefactors, Bodhisattva! Amitabha!" The clear and clear voice was naturally peaceful, but also clear and sweet. It seemed that someone was whispering in the ear, and there was no surprise in it. It sounded softly in everyone's ears.
Such profound cultivation! What a comfortable concentration, what a comfortable calm language.
This is the common knowledge shared by everyone at this time. You can feel his mystery and wisdom without even looking at him.
Looking at the venerable man coming from the wind, he stood comfortably above Qinzhuang, standing side by side with Mr. Guiyuan. With a spring-like face, he nodded slightly at Mr. Guiyuan. Mr. Guiyuan actually made an exception and stood with one hand on his hands, and returned a salute to the venerable man. It seemed that the two of them knew each other.
He stood so quietly on the branches of a big tree nearby. Under the moonlight, he looked like a real Buddha coming to the world, which made people awe-inspiring. He actually looked like a monk in his thirties, with red lips, white teeth, and a clear and friendly complexion.
When I looked at his face, I felt that those kind eyes seemed to be full of vicissitudes of wisdom. People feel his kindness, but also feel the infinite compassion in his heart.
This young and handsome appearance obviously deceived everyone's eyes. How could such a young venerable person be a top master and a great master in profound meditation practice.
The few people here are not at the level of Yinjiabao and Lianyun Village. They are all old antiques who have been practicing for countless years. Their unique vision is unusual. Looking at the other person's appearance, he was not surprised, and he also knew that this venerable man was at least over fifty in actual age. It's just that his cultivation is profound and he has reached the innate state of returning to his original nature early, and his appearance has stopped at the time when he made the breakthrough.
Not to mention the external temperament of this venerable person, just the super cultivation level displayed by the other person and the aura that blends in with the surrounding environment have obviously reached the highest state of returning to nature. What surprised these people the most was that the aura exuding from the other party was actually a vague feeling that could not be captured. This subtle feeling cannot be expressed in words, but it surprised everyone present.
Jin Shibajie, who had been stationary, suddenly looked in the direction of the venerable man and kept spitting out a long letter, as if he had discovered something. The natural acuity of the beast shows its extraordinary vigilance, and of course a kind of instinctive prophet.
How can a mutant that has practiced cultivation for more than a hundred years be compared to ordinary beasts? How many catastrophes it has suffered and survived, and what kind of opportunities will it need to give it the opportunity to practice. The people looking in this direction seemed to have some doubts. He stood there but did not react violently, which surprised the people in Qinzhuang nearby, and made them even more nervous.
It doesn't mean you can become an immortal and attain enlightenment if you live a long life. Of course, you won't become an immortal or attain enlightenment without a long life. No one knows what this long worm has experienced in its life, but its ability to survive and even develop its intelligence cannot be relied solely on chance.
Its every move naturally affects the nerves of everyone present. The way it looks at this venerable person is quite surprising.
Nan Fenghan had been very conceited throughout his life. He thought that with his long life and more than a few decades of practice, he would definitely be able to show off his talents when he returned to the Central Plains. He had even made plans in his heart. The intention is to return to the Central Plains.
It seemed that he and Wu Ni were the only two people who came. In fact, when they entered the Central Plains this time, they received great courtesy from Zhang Wenbiao. Not only did they bring three elders, including Wu Ni, but they also brought more than a dozen outstanding disciples. According to his idea, Zhang Wenbiao's ambition and his current territory in Chudi can be used to make big developments.
But he didn't expect that just in Yongzhou City, he would not only meet Feng Biwei, the master of the Xiaoyao Sect, but also Mr. Guiyuan of the Shangqing Sect. For Feng Biwei, with his current state, he should not miss, but Mr. Guiyuan, although he is still a junior in front of him, is also a true Taoist master.
If you want to deal with two people, you really can't subdue them with three punches and two kicks. As for people like Qin Zhuang, Nan Fenghan really didn't take them seriously. The reason why he didn't take action against these people immediately was firstly because Jin Sishijie had just appeared, and secondly because based on his feeling, he knew that there was a top master nearby, and this person should not be weaker than Feng Biwei.
There is no way to leave half of the infinite compassion brought by this venerable person, as well as the pressure when facing him. Originally, Nan Fenghan thought that he was the one hiding in the dark, but when he saw this Venerable, Nan Fenghan was immediately sure that the person in the dark was not this Venerable.
This naturally made Nan Fenghan even more jealous. Looking at this new venerable man and seeing him standing not far from Mr. Guiyuan, even if the two were not old friends, they probably knew each other. Nan Fenghan has been living in seclusion overseas for decades, but he doesn’t even know who this venerable person is!
But after listening to the words of this venerable man, and of course his self-registered number, and knowing his origin, others were already awe-inspiring. Nan Fenghan frowned for the first time. Although he had never interacted with this venerable man, his master had indeed met him face to face.
It turns out that Buddha is the only one who cultivates truth in the world! Today, Taoism in the Central Plains is still dominated by Maoshan, Longhushan and Gezaoshan.
Maoshan has many branches and leaves, but the Shangqing sect is the main one. As for how many branches of the Shangqing sect are inherited, no one has counted them one by one. Longhu Mountain is the direct descendant of the Zhang family's Zhengyi religion, and the whole world is a family, and it is true and false. As for the primitive religion in Gezao Mountain, it was inherited from Ge Xuan, the founder of the Taoist Lingbao Taoist sect. Later, Ge Hong carried it forward and formed the famous Gejia Taoism in the Taoist sect.
In this era, the Ge family was far inferior to Shangqing and Zhengyi. What it was famous for was the Divine Medicine Sect, which was now established in the Southern Tang Dynasty. It was said that it had completely inherited the essential skills of the Gezaoshan Taoist sect.
Nan Fenghan didn't care about this, because strictly speaking, the branch that moved overseas to Paradise Island was still under the Shangqing sect. I don’t know how many generations have passed, but I have long been excluded from the right path.
However, there are many sects of Buddhism. From the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty, eight major sects have been formed. There are three treatises (Faxing Sect), Faxiang Sect (Yoga Sect), Tiantai Sect, Huayan Sect (Xianshou Sect), Zen Sect, Pure Land Sect, Vinaya Sect, and Shingon Sect (Tantric Sect). These are what China often calls sex, phase, stage, and There are eight major sects: Xian, Zen, Jing, Law, and Tantra.
Buddhism is inherently one-sided, and there are many practitioners. Due to the different understanding levels of each recipient, as well as the different eras and living environments, naturally the views on Buddhism are completely different from person to person. .
Later generations have a verse to summarize the differences between Buddhist sects: dense wealth, Zen poverty, convenience and purity, only consciousness, patience, good fortune and emptiness. The traditional Huayan discipline cultivates the body and the moral principles organize the Tiantai sect.
Nan Fenghan was well aware of the various sects of Buddhism, but in the end only Zen was able to flourish. Although Buddhism does not interfere with external things, after all, it still needs to spread the Dharma to the human world. On the other hand, there was only one branch of Zen Buddhism in the South, which had numerous eminent monks in the late Tang Dynasty.
Master Wen Yan, who lived in Yunmen, Shaozhou, was an unparalleled eminent monk in the contemporary world. It is said that he had sought many teachings throughout the world during his lifetime, and finally achieved enlightenment and became a well-known Arhat in the region. He eventually preached in Shaozhou, Lingnan.
Because he was honored as the True Arhat by Emperor Liu Yan of the Southern Han Dynasty, Master Wenyan and his master, the Know-Sage Arhat Master Rumin, were collectively called the Two Saints of Zen. He has also become one of the most famous great masters in Buddhism since the late Tang Dynasty.
Master Wenyan first visited Master Daozong in Muzhou. Master Daozong, who was revered as Chen Zunsu, came from a well-known family. He studied under Master Huangpi Xiyun under Ma Zudao of Nanyue. He was the true mantle of the Southern Zen Buddhism.
Master Daozong was an eminent monk in the history of Zen Buddhism, and many Buddhist verses have been passed down to the world. Master Wen Yan attained enlightenment under him and was regarded as a Buddhist wizard by him. Later, he was recommended to meet Master Xuefeng Yicun. This was another great sage in the history of Buddhism who deserves a special mention.
Master Wen Yan attained enlightenment under Master Daozong, but it was under Master Xuefeng Yicun that he attained enlightenment. After that, he established the Yunmen Sect, which also promulgated Xuefeng’s thoughts, which is worth pondering in the history of Buddhism. Because he later studied the Tao with Master Qianfeng and Master Lingshu Rumin in Yuezhou.
Master Ru Min was also a rare great virtue in the late Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, and he was also another member of the Southern Zen sect. He studied under Master Changqing Da'an, a disciple of Baizhang Huaihai. He had been practicing Buddhism in Lingnan for more than 40 years. He was famous for his solitary practice in Buddhism. He was the most respected elder by the local scholars and officials in Lingnan. Holy Arhat.
Then he returned to Master Ru Min. Not long after the master passed away, Master Wen Yan naturally inherited the mantle. Liu Yan, Emperor Gaozu of the Southern Han Dynasty, heard of his famous name, admired the master's teachings and asked him to teach him. From then on, Master Wenyan spread his teachings to Lingnan.
Zen Buddhism has always been poor. Most practitioners use thatch roofs as roofs and live in stone caves to practice Buddhism. Emperor Gaozu did a great thing and built the largest and most luxurious Zen courtyard for Master Wenyan in the name of the royal family. He also personally gave him a plaque: "Guangtai Zen Temple". From then on, Buddhist scholars from all over the world came to see him.
Master Wen Yan founded the Yunmen Sect in Shaozhou and expanded the Xuefeng Zen method, which was highly praised by Buddhists all over the world. Because of his propagation of Buddhism, he not only greatly repaired and restored Nanhua Temple, the ancestral home of Zen Buddhism, but also made the Central Plains look at Lingnan with new eyes. Since then, the concept of Lingnan as a foreign land has changed.
He was good at teaching the Dharma. In the seventh year of Emperor Qianhe's reign in the Southern Han Dynasty, he was enthroned and placed a golden body in a pagoda in Guangtai Zen Temple. At this time, the Lingnan court was already in the hands of Zhongzong Liu Sheng. The emperor was like the emperor Gaozu, who particularly respected the master's lineage of Buddhism. The imperial court named the pagoda courtyard "Ruiyun" and the pagoda "Baoguang".
At that time, the master had tens of thousands of disciples, and it is said that there were as many as seventy-seven of them who had the opportunity to have his sayings passed down to the world. This can be regarded as a legend among Buddhists in previous and later generations. In the Buddhist masterpiece "Jingdelu", there are 61 biographies of the master's disciples. Therefore, at this time, Buddhism in the world can say that the respect for the master has reached the highest level.
Therefore, there is still a saying in the world: Emperor Yunmen is General Linji.
Being a Buddhist disciple comes from the Yunmen Seat. This sign is not small. If someone has the chance to say something, he will be promoted as a venerable by various sects. Practitioners naturally respect those who first realize enlightenment, and the saying that those who have attained enlightenment are their teachers can be said to be fully expressed.
When Nan Fenghan retired to seclusion, Master Wen Yan was just beginning to gain fame, but Nan Fenghan didn't have much of an impression. Although I felt something in my heart, I didn't pay much attention to it. Although he later retired overseas, it was out of helplessness that he was driven by the Taoist sect of the same lineage.
However, this Nan Fenghan is not the kind of person who is willing to be lonely. He will naturally try his best to find out the news about the Central Plains in preparation for his rise again. Naturally, I heard one after another that various figures were popular in the Central Plains, and Taoism and Buddhism each had its own merits. Since then, we have heard the names of many eminent Buddhist monks and virtuous men, among whom the Buddhist master Wenyan is naturally the most famous.
Originally, he only wanted to visit this eminent monk who was famous in the Central Plains when he returned to the Central Plains. It was a pity that when he came out of the world again, he was invited by Zhang Wenbiao to come to Chudi to take charge, but the master had already passed away, so he naturally felt very sad in his heart.
But when I suddenly heard that this monk was a disciple of Master Wen Yan, I felt a little surprised. Seeing the mysterious feeling exuding from his whole body, and the hazy and unreal appearance of his whole person, I recognized the master even more in my heart.
"It turns out that he is an eminent monk from the Nanyue family of Mazu. It is said that Kuangzhen Arhat has profound Taoism and has disciples all over the Central Plains. Although this is the first time for a certain family to meet the master, they have respected the master for a long time. It is said that the master has served the Arhat for nearly twenty years. , it turned out to be true when I saw it today, the venerable is indeed a man of enlightenment!" Qin Zhuang's expression did not change, but his eyes were still looking at the golden forty-eight knots in front of him, seeing that although it kept hesitating, there was no change. , couldn't help but quietly raised his head and opened his lips in greeting.
"Amitabha! Good, good! The benefactor has over-praised! The fame and wealth are like clouds of smoke, and the poor monk is just a monk who practices the true stanza of Buddha!" The Chengyuan monk smiled and said calmly, and he didn't sound happy at all about Qin Zhuang's words. , always looking at everyone with a smile.
He seemed to know what everyone was thinking, and clasped his hands together and said quietly: "The poor monk came from Shaozhou, Lingnan to pay homage to the verse writer, and was preparing to return to Shu. Because he saw a lot of murderous atmosphere along the way, he thought of the many people in the world. I was worried about life and death. I had some crazy thoughts in my heart, and with the compassion of my Buddha, I came to Yongzhou City. I met all the sages of the time, and this poor monk was worthy of his trip!"
"The great monk is here to save these common people!" Wu Ni, who was in Nan Fenghan's arms, chuckled, looking at Chengyuan seemingly in a daze. A pair of charming phoenix eyes actually contained a charming smile. What was surprising was that there was no evil intention at all. It makes people feel like a girl next door, looking at her favorite lover infatuatedly.
Wu Ni was originally good at charm and double cultivation. She looked at Chengyuan so innocently and sadly, which made everyone in Yinjiabao and many people in Lian Yunzhai feel pain in their hearts. The feeling of pity. It seemed that Chengyuan felt sorry for the infatuated woman Won Ni. As long as Won Ni gave the order, they would rush forward without hesitation.
Chengyuan always had a gentle expression, but it had no effect at all on Wu Ni's interference. She glanced at Wu Ni meaningfully, clasped her hands and said, "One thought is a devil, one thought is a Buddha!" Wu Ni's charming eyes suddenly dropped, and she nodded at Nan Fenghan as if inadvertently.
Others looked as if Wu Ni was wronged after hearing Cheng Yuan's words and did not dare to face Cheng Yuan. It makes people want to take Wu Ni into their arms, but they also hate Chengyuan for not showing mercy to her, and destroying the image of a good monk in their hearts.
People here don't think so. When they see Wu Ni performing her charm, they can't help but resist secretly. Seeing that Cheng Yuan's look and a whisper actually made Wo Ni flinch, he knew that Cheng Yuan not only had profound cultivation, but also had a tough mind, which could not be easily destroyed.
The one who felt the deepest feelings was naturally Nan Fenghan, who had been hugging Wu Ni. He was particularly shocked, because he could clearly feel Wu Ni's body shaking slightly, and the breath in his body actually fluctuated. He really understood Won Ni's skills. Won Ni had inherited the "Flower in the Mirror, Water and Moon" charm technique. If he didn't pay attention to it, he would never be his opponent. He didn't expect that Cheng Yuan was so powerful.
Cheng Yuan seemed to be unaware of all this. He turned his head to look at Mr. Guiyuan beside him, and then he solemnly put his hands together and saluted: "In the past, a poor monk accompanied the literary master and had a chance to go to pay homage to Mr. Gae. Mr. Practicing the Dharma has its own heaven and earth, which made the poor monk deeply enlightened in the past. Now that the literary master has attained enlightenment and Buddhahood, the poor monk thinks about all the things in the past and often thinks that he will meet the teacher again by fate. Now the word "karma" really applies! I don't want to see the grace of the teacher. Even better than before!"
As expected, he and Mr. Guiyuan knew each other. Nan Fenghan, who was watching the changes in Wu Ni and the greetings between him and Mr. Guiyuan, felt even more clear in his heart. Seeing a few people remain calm, they started to care, knowing that the two of them had just lost their best opportunity. He couldn't help but look around indifferently, and occasionally looked at everyone with cold eyes.
Nan Fenghan, who always cares about gains and losses, although he has never worried about the status of the two of them, knows that the two of them could have controlled the overall situation, but because of caution, they have now lost the best opportunity. Wu Ni, who was holding her in her arms, didn't say anything and even smiled. Since there was no chance, the two of them could only wait for the opportunity.
"Well, Your Majesty! It is said that Your Majesty has returned to Sichuan to inherit the Dafa. I am very happy to meet you today! Now that this thing is in the spotlight, Shao Dai and Your Majesty will inevitably have some meditation opportunities!" Mr. Guiyuan actually nodded with a smile, but his eyes Keep looking at this golden forty-eight knot.
Chengyuan smiled and nodded, and finally looked at Nan Fenghan here. He looked at the two people with a pair of clear eyes, and his smiling eyes seemed to be able to see through people's minds. He did not use the Buddhist lion's roar on Wu Ni, but he could also see that Wu Ni had bad intentions. But his kind-heartedness is very understandable to ordinary people, and he doesn't take it seriously in his heart.
Nan Fenghan did not avoid it, but also looked at Chengyuan quietly, as if he wanted to see something in his eyes. But there seemed to be no ripples in his clear eyes. Nan Feng Han had been practicing for a long time, and there was something hidden in his heart that even a master could not see through. He continued looking at Cheng Yuan as if he was careless.
Simply relying on a Buddhist verse, she was able to resolve the charm that Woni was proud of. Nan Fenghan was even more surprised than everyone present because of the faint zhenqi that came and went all over his body. I can't help but feel more about the understanding of Buddhism. No matter what, any experience of the other party can give me the most valuable tips on the way of practice.
Nan Fenghan's ability to become the head of the Bliss Sect was certainly no fluke. It's because he is talented and smart, and he is good at learning, so after being squeezed out of the Central Plains for so many years, he did not dare to easily mention his plan to return to the Central Plains.
The corners of her eyes were full of charm, and she looked at Chengyuan's majestic appearance. Although he was a monk and a monk, the more he practiced diligently, the more pure his Yuanyang essence was. Wu Ni herself is a master of dual cultivation. If she can get a fellow practitioner from Cheng Yuan, it will undoubtedly be no less than getting decades of hard training.
Although she knew that most eminent monks like Cheng Yuan were tough-minded people, if they had never tried it, how could she give up in her heart. That's why she couldn't help but use her charm on Chengyuan just now. Her charm was no longer an ordinary color, and she could make a fool of herself with every move she made.
Although she had just been warned by Cheng Yuan, she also knew that Cheng Yuan did not have any hostility or thoughts. This monk with profound cultivation was indeed not an ordinary person. She couldn't help but brush the hair on her temples with her right hand, and the corners of her eyes inadvertently revealed their natural charm again.
When one has reached her level of cultivation, she has long given up on single external temptations, just like someone who has become enlightened and doesn't know why, because it's all so natural.
"The donors must be very troubled because of this long worm below!" Cheng Yuan was like an Arhat in front of a Buddha, standing on the treetops with a divine light that was compelling.
"Does Your Majesty want to stop a certain family from getting it?" Qin Zhuang murmured in his heart, feeling something bad. Buddhism is about karma, so it would really not be a good thing if he tried to stop everyone. Qin Zhuang clearly knew that this monk was not easy to get along with, but he had no intention of retreating.
This Golden Forty-Eight Jie had obviously just eaten recently, and the food was obviously still in its belly and had not been completely digested. It would definitely not run too fast. But this is a beast that has been practicing for more than a hundred years. It is naturally at the level of spirit and has its own way of survival. Otherwise, it would not be able to survive for so long.
It practices like no one else, obviously it doesn't pay attention to everyone. If Cheng Yuan tried to stop it again, it would just escape into the cave and it would be difficult for everyone to catch it.
"Amitabha, everything has a cause and effect! Although the poor monk doesn't know why you want to capture it now, since it has suffered such a catastrophe, it must have something to do with it in its previous life. The poor monk just happened to pass by here, although he couldn't bear it in his heart. , but I also know the cause and effect of reincarnation, and the poor monk will not stop the donors! But I advise the donors, whether it is it or other living beings, if the donors can do less evil, there is no greater good!"
"Monk, do you know why so many people want to fight for the world now!" Feng Biwei, who had been silently comforting Bai Hu, suddenly spoke softly. "Does the monk know why so many people in Buddhism want to become a Buddha?"
"Please give me some advice!" Cheng Yuan didn't feel anything wrong at all, and bowed his head politely to Feng Biwei.
This is a monk with true faith.
"Chasing deer in the world, seeking fame and fortune, practicing enlightenment, and living forever!" Feng Biwei looked at the forty-eight golden strips in a soft whisper, "Its cultivation is no different from human cultivation for five hundred years. What do you want us to do? Don’t ask it for advice!”
Compete in the Central Plains and aspire to dominate the world! Make a name for yourself in history!
You are a cauldron, and I am an elk! If you can’t seek fame and profit, then seek immortality!
Qin lost its deer, and the whole world chased it away!
There are immortals and monsters left in the world, and no one wants to get them, let alone this group of people who have been pursuing immortality all their lives.
If you prevent others from trying to conquer the world, corpses will naturally litter the land, and one general’s achievements will lead to thousands of bones being withered!
If you prevent others from becoming immortal, they will become a cauldron and see the ups and downs of life.
