"You eighteen bald donkeys have heard this. I am now the Minister of the Interior and the Admiral of the Nine Sects! Moreover, I am also the Imperial Envoy. I have been ordered to deal with Obei! The Empress Dowager you want to invite, Aunt Sumala is not far away. I've sent you hundreds of miles... If you dare to protect Oboi again, huh, don't blame me for cleaning up the door for Buddhism!"
Outside the gate of Qingliang Temple in Mount Wutai, the person shouting at a dozen or so monks standing in a row was, of course, Wang Fuchen. He had gone to the mountain gate of Qingliang Temple twice with Wang Zhongxiao and Master Yu before.
The first time I went there at night, I howled in Manchurian outside the mountain gate for half an hour. Then when the mountain gate was pushed open, they left behind the court clothes stripped from Obai's body, waist badge and the key to the seal box of the minister of bodyguards, and ran away in a hurry.
The second time I went there in broad daylight. I took Wang Zhongxiao, Master Yu and others, as well as a Wutai County magistrate and dozens of Wutai County people, all aggressively arrived at the gate of Qingliang Temple, clamoring for a search. . As a result, they met eighteen virtuous and eminent monks with big muscles and round waists, faces full of flesh, holding Zen staffs, and bows on their waists and hips. It is said that the eighteen Arhat monks of Qingliang Temple stopped them from searching.
However, these eighteen Arhat monks did not fight with Wang Fuchen and the others. Instead, they very civilizedly took out the Emperor and Queen Mother Yi Zhi and told Wang Fuchen and the others to get away as far as they could... When Wang Fuchen saw Yi Zhi, he said nothing. He obediently returned to Taihuai Town.
This is not because he is afraid of the Eighteen Arhat Monk, but because Wang Fuchen also knows that no one in the world can catch Obai, because Obai has "turned into ashes"!
All he needed was for Qingliang Temple to take the blame for covering up Obai... As for whether Qingliang Temple would be burned down by Emperor Xiao Mazi's soldiers, he didn't care.
Of course, he didn’t know that Emperor Shunzhi, the “eldest brother on the list”, whom he thought about day and night and dreamed of, was now a Bodhisattva (the incarnation of Manjushri Bodhisattva) in Qingliang Temple. Otherwise, he would not dare to go to Qingliang today. People were shouting in front of the temple gate.
Wang Zhongxiao, who knew that Shunzhi was squinting in Qingliang Temple, looked as arrogant as a court lackey and an emperor's eagle dog. He was wearing a yellow mandarin jacket, holding the handle of his waist knife, standing in front of Aunt Sumala, and loudly supported her. : "You bald donkeys, you all have some sense, tie up Oboi and send him out! Your Majesty and the Empress Dowager both burn incense and worship Buddha. As long as you hand over Oboi, they won't argue with you. Otherwise, hehe......"
"Wang Guard, in this pure place of Buddhism, you must not be rude!" Aunt Sumala breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the behavior of the Wang family and his son. She no longer looked on coldly and interrupted Wang Zhongxiao's words as soon as she opened her mouth.
"Hey." Wang Zhongxiao was also very good. When the old lady said this, he immediately shut up. He clasped his hands, held his head high and stood there. He didn't know whether he was here to worship the Buddha or to demonstrate.
Lagu Suma glanced at him, just shook her head, then clasped her hands together, saluted, and said to the dozen Arhat monks blocking the entrance of Qingliang Temple: "Dear Arhats, this little brother of mine is vulgar and ignorant. , and I am dedicated to serving the emperor, so I am inevitably impatient, so please forgive me."
An Arhat monk with a big face, small eyes, a gray beard, and a body like a door panel slammed the ground with the Zen staff in his hand, and then said angrily: "Donor Sumala, I have been a monk for many years, and I have long been proficient in Buddhism. After reciting Namo Amitabha well and cultivating the four elements into nothingness, of course you won’t be able to see it like a child. But we don’t have Oboi here, so please come back!”
There is no Obai, but there must be Shunzhi!
Wang Zhongxiao already knew in his heart that these eighteen Arhat monks, who looked nothing like eminent monks, must be the unlucky ones who accompanied Shunzhi to Mount Wutai to become a monk... Others were getting promoted and making money, but they followed Shunzhi, a loser. The masters of Pu were cultivating Luo Han Guo on Mount Wutai. No wonder they all became so angry.
Aunt Sumala was very polite to these unlucky monks. She smiled and said to the sturdy monk who looked like a door panel: "It turns out to be Abbot Baozhu. There is no Obai in Qingliang Temple, but there must be a Bodhisattva, right? I came all the way here. , and with the Queen Mother’s decree, you can always go to the temple to pay homage to the Bodhisattva, right?”
Wang Fuchen also nodded and said: "Yes, yes, I believe in Buddhism too, and I want to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva with Aunt Sumala!"
The abbot monk named Baozhu gritted his teeth and said with a kind face: "Wang, don't you know that our place is the dojo of Manjusri Bodhisattva? If you want to worship Guanyin Bodhisattva, go to the dojo of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva. We don't have one here. !”
"No, no? Then I will..."
"Okay, okay." Aunt Sumala spoke again, "Wang Junmen, you and your son can wait outside the mountain gate. Xiaoyinzi, Xiaoguizi and I will just go into the temple together."
"Auntie," Wang Zhongxiao said, "if Obai is hiding in the temple and wants to do anything to you..."
He wanted to say "unruly", but the old lady gave him a dirty look and blocked the word "unruly".
"With the Eighteen Arhat monks here, what can it do if Obai is in Qingliang Temple?" After saying this, Aunt Sumala strode towards the gate of Qingliang Temple with Cao Yin and Xiao Guizi. The gray man who spoke to her just now The bearded monk walked with her to Qingliang Temple, while the remaining "Arhats" continued to block the mountain gate.
Aunt Sumala, Xiao Guizi, and Cao Yin followed the "Arhat" and walked around the Qingliang Temple for a long time before arriving at a small, secluded courtyard deep in the Qingliang Temple.
The moon gate of the small courtyard was tightly closed, and Abbot Baozhu stopped outside the door. He turned around and said to Aunt Sumala: "Auntie, I can only take you here."
"Thank you," Aunt Sumala clasped her hands together and bowed to the "Arhat". Then she walked to the Moon Gate, patted it hard a few times, and shouted loudly: "Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva of Infatuation, I am Su Malagu, is Obai here with you?"
No one answered.
After a while, the moon door of the courtyard creaked open, and a teenage novice monk poked out from inside, saying to Aunt Sumala: "Female donor, the Bodhisattva has invited me."
Aunt Sumala turned back to Xiao Guizi and Cao Yin and said, "You two just wait here."
Xiao Guizi and Xiao Yinzi didn't know what kind of extraordinary bald donkey was inside the Moon Gate, but when they saw Aunt Sumala's pious face and her hands clasped together, of course they held their breath and concentrated, as if there really was a Bodhisattva inside.
Aunt Sumala followed the little novice into the yard. The yard was not big. She planted some flowers, plants and trees, and also built a small rockery. Every mountain, every stone, every plant and every tree was extremely delicate. You could tell at a glance that it was carefully crafted. Taken care of.
There is a small building in the courtyard, which is also full of exquisiteness. The door on the ground floor of the small building is open. There is a monk sitting inside, with his back to the door and facing the Buddhist niche. He is reciting some sutra.
On the floor behind the monk, there is a neatly folded Duke's court dress. There is also a string of rosary beads and a waist badge on the court dress.
Aunt Sumala stepped forward and bowed to the monk. Then she picked up the waistband and saw that the same name was engraved on it in both Manchu and Chinese characters - Guarjia Obai!
Then she looked at the court uniform. There were some dark red blood stains on it, but not too much. It seemed that Obai was not seriously injured.
"Bodhisattva, have you seen Obai?" Aunt Sumala asked respectfully.
"No." The monk just said two words softly.
"Ao Bai...is he still in Qingliang Temple?"
"Not here." The monk replied in two words.
"Bodhisattva, do you know where Oboi has gone?" Aunt Sumala asked again.
"I don't know." The monk still only said two words.
Aunt Sumala sighed and didn't ask any more questions. Because she knew that the "Buddha" in front of her was Emperor Shunzhi. He was now a "Bodhisattva" and would not lie.
As for Shunzhi's status today, I really can't say much. The more you talk, the more mistakes you make... And every word he says will be carefully interpreted by the filial son Kangxi who has no martial ethics and the kind-faced and cruel mother Bumubutai!
Once he sees the emperor who has seen through the mortal world, how can he still not know what is the most ruthless emperor's principle?
However, Aunt Sumala was still very satisfied with the monk emperor's answer.
First of all, Obai must have been here! Otherwise, how could his official uniform, court beads, and token appear in Qingliang Temple?
Secondly, "The Bodhisattva of Practicing Motives" didn't see him - it doesn't count as seeing him if he turned his back, right? I haven't seen him, so of course I can't provide him with shelter.
Third, Obai has left under Xingchi’s arrangement! Qingliang Temple is a large temple and has always been a royal temple. It has great power in the Taihuai Town area. Wutai County does not dare to provoke it. They want to arrange for Obai to avoid the few people under Wang Fuchen and leave from the alley. Traveling far away is a piece of cake.
But this matter cannot be blamed on Wang Fuchen and Wang Zhongxiao. Who gave the little emperor a cheating and unfilial father? If the father is unfilial, it will be a disaster for the son!
No way!
Thinking of this, Aunt Sumala made another Buddhist salute to "Xing Chi Bodhisattva" and said: "Bodhisattva, now that the little Bodhisattva has grown up, he has expelled Obai, regained his power, and became a young hero. You can rest assured.”
"Alas..." Xing Chi's answer was just a sigh.
