Final words

At 22:31 on December 18, 2023, I finished writing the last word of "Cangdu".

I giggled happily for almost five minutes to celebrate the end of this long journey. I just have to write a closing speech tomorrow to announce the end on the spot——

Then after resting for a day or so, I realized something seemed wrong. Oops, the details of the reincarnation before the final battle are a little lacking. The logic of this character seems not very clear. The design of this battle also seems to lack of highlights. Everyone's lines are a bit repetitive. The final explanation link seems to have not filled in the holes. It seems that maybe I need... to add a little bit more...?

So it wasn’t until 15:25 on December 25 that the book was truly finalized. (Actually, the draft is still being revised as of the 29th) You may have noticed that the number of words in the last few chapters suddenly became too large. This is not a completion bonus, but the original 3k-word chapter that I forcibly made up like this...

After all, the completion date has been set! It’s already a critical moment in the plot, and there’s no point in dragging it out chapter by chapter!

Ever since, this book has come to an end in the process of chasing the duck onto the shelf. I’m really embarrassed. I feel like I haven’t made any progress compared to when I started the book. I don’t want to maintain my original intention like this (laughs)

Alas... So it’s finally over. Logically speaking, we should pretend to summarize the pros and cons of the 6 volumes before moving on to review the whole story. But I’m really too lazy to bother with it, so this closing speech is nothing. The plan will be written very loosely. I will write whatever comes to my mind and you can read it at will.

I originally thought about writing a more literary title, such as "Farewell to the Clear Sky in My Heart" or "Hymn to Youth", but then I gave up the idea after thinking that after two months, I would look back on it and feel it was silly, like a public execution. Ah, forget it, forget it, testimonials are actually just nonsense written for yourself. No one will pay much attention to your mental journey, so let’s talk about books!

So let’s talk about books.

As you can see, Volume 6 is another two-in-one story, and its direction has the same core issues as Volume 5. I felt that the first half of the story about the empire was okay. It supplemented the background of the empire, the story of the four Taixue people, and the interaction between Ace and them that I had long wanted to write, and added a little suspense created by the King of Order. If we follow this process, (if the five volumes can tie up Hadrian's line), we will focus on solving the hidden law master + Qin Ming, and finally end with the two-king battle of the King of Order + the King of Silence. This volume will It will become perfect and complete.

The theme of the first half of the six volumes is naturally order and freedom. Yan Qi, as a man who has the world in mind but is a prisoner of his own, is the best subject for this theme. The different attitudes expressed by Qin Ming, Liu Zhongwu, and Situ Yi in the same environment can also be used as portrayals of this theme. . In the end, Yan Qi led the older generation to eliminate the ancient order, and Ace and the new generation worked together to solve the final disaster. Together, both parties reconciled their lives and transcended their past selves. The themes and characters can be sublimated. The Empire chapter comes to a perfect end. As for Mr. Lan and his reincarnation plan, it would be nice to leave it to the seventh volume.

Of course it is good to write it this way, but even if we don't look at Hadrian's Hidden God, we will face another problem...

Isn't this plot a bit like the "mid-term event" of Hot-Blooded Comics?

It’s better to say that it is! Yan Qi and Qin Ming should have retired long ago! After redeeming it with the big boss, you will receive flowers and skyrocket. This is the treatment of the seniors. After that, the pressure will be left to the newcomers to bear slowly. This is called reasonable development!

To put it bluntly, the Empire chapter is basically a plot that should be left to the mid-term turning point of the book. So what is written about the mid-term turning point of the book?

——0 volumes.

At this point, I have to admit that all the plots in the book Cangdu from volume 0 onwards are to deal with the aftermath of volume 0! By volume five, the aftermath has come to an end, but at this point, there is no space to continue writing volume 67. I can only combine two plots into one plot to wrap up the finale!

Oh, what a shameful guy. Therefore, when writing a story, you really need to think about it carefully and perfect it from the outline stage. It is best to write paragraph by paragraph. We have been in a state of aftermath in the second half of the book. The core goal is not to "write the current topic well" but to "clean up the previous mess." It is strange that this can be performed well. Of course, I am definitely aware that the battle of kings later in this volume will seem very hasty and urgent, but I still choose to write it this way. It is really due to a comprehensive problem caused by various factors.

Judging from the book, Ace and everyone have basically finished their upgrades, and the layout of King of Pingping has also reached the end. Opening another seven volumes will not make it more "perfect", but will have a full-level character. The feeling of being at a loss as you wander around the big map. Mr. Lan, why didn’t you take advantage of such a good opportunity before? When such a logical problem is pointed out, it is difficult to get past it with "because I am happy"...

On the other hand, I also work outside the book. It’s very tiring, to be honest, it’s very tiring. The pressure from all aspects is very urgent, which makes it impossible for me to write the story slowly and leisurely. To be honest, by the end of this volume, around the time of Hadrian and Qin Mingyin's three consecutive battles, I had already developed the attitude of "don't worry about it, just finish it as soon as possible". It was exactly the same before and after the war. Such a mentality is tantamount to a spiritual loss, and the finished product will naturally be unsatisfactory, which is why we have the situation mentioned at the beginning when we look back and find that major changes are needed, which is really embarrassing.

Cangdu in the later period was a kind of pressure for me. This was an unhealthy writing state. I think my top priority right now is to adjust quickly and get the actual work done first. Only then can I have the opportunity to write new stories after adjusting all aspects.

So, without going into details about reality, let’s talk about a few points in this volume.

——The Lord of the Hidden Law and the Red Emperor Royal Family.

As for the Master of Hidden Laws, to be frank...

It’s a character that depicts failure.

Yes, yes. Anyway, now that it’s over, I’ll be honest and say that my initial expectations for him were to follow a “first suppress and then expand” style of shaping like the Darkness of Hai Hu San. But it was obvious that this path was not going to work for me. His first impression was so bad that it was unreliable to try to make up for it later. However, the core background I set for him early on is a very straightforward and even simple route. In this way, he can be a decent brother, but as a villain, he is a completely ignorant guy.

If a few more people support Yinluo Lord, his perception may rise a bit, but his core problem will not be solved: there is a complete contradiction between the methodology of saving the world and the emotional flow of living in the world. No matter how good the writing is, it can't be solved. Can't be saved. So I have to admit frankly that there is something wrong with my design. As one of the characters that was planned before the book started, the fact that the Hidden Law Lord is like this is really...sigh...my problem, my problem. Next time, if you don’t write about this entangled mother-in-law, why should you torture yourself?

In addition, although the Red Emperor Royal Family does not have much pen and ink, I am quite satisfied with what I wrote. The father and son pair, Zijing and Chongxiao, lack a lot of interaction due to space limitations. If there is a separate Chongxiao Hui, their portrayal will be more complete. If I would have set it up like this in the early stage, it is a pity that the progress has reached the finale. Creating one more character will not affect the final "big picture", so I have no choice but to give up.

——Hadrian.

I quite like this old man. Although he was not a character who had been drafted early, and his complete setting was not released until the fourth volume, this did not prevent me from having fun writing him. It would have been a perfect ending if he ended the show in volume five, but he was quite happy playing this volume. Hadrian's spirit in heaven would laugh if he knew that he defeated the Final Star as a pioneer.

By the way, a large part of the reason why he chooses to die is because he is curious about what death feels like... There is really nothing to say in this regard.

——No form.

Ah, this bad guy.

This guy appears in the sixth volume even though he is dead!

I know there will be many readers who will be unhappy seeing him, but I really like him (laughs). Wu Xiang was a rare teammate in the Empire Chapter, and he served as the key point of the counterattack in the virtual history. It's not a whitewash or a deliberate move, it's just a decision made out of consistent interests. Let the four of them have fun together, which can be regarded as fulfilling my wish.

By the way, although he appeared to be free and easy when he left the scene, he actually secretly tried the possibility of "leaving virtual history and living in the real world" many times, but failed due to the limitations of the King of Order's creation itself. There is really nothing we can do, Situ Yi~

——Qin Ming.

Ah, this is compelling.

Qin Ming was easy to write, but the plot of Qin Ming's enemy was not easy to write. I'm glad that the past between him and Xiao Qian and his thoughts at that time were made up in the sixth volume. Because this guy is so strong, Xiao Qian can only win one move in the end. The ceiling of winning until the end is really difficult to deal with. .

In the end, Qin Ming reconciled with his family and embarked on a new journey. This guy who never grew up finally grew up a little before the end of this story.

——Yan Qi.

As a character who was also determined at the beginning, Yan Qi's performance went to the other extreme than that of the Yinlu Lord: he has always been very satisfying.

As a master, everything given to Ce was put to use, and as a strong man, everything he left behind was also effective. As our eldest father, he also achieved a very good record. Yan Qi's character is not that "traditional". It is difficult for this person to have a good "degree" every time he speaks, so every time he appears on the stage, I put a lot of effort into writing this guy well.

The young Yan Qi in the first volume of Volume 6 should be different from the familiar Yan Qi. I would be happy if I could feel the difference)

One of the meanings of the existence of the 6 volumes is to make up for the last stroke of Yan Qi, and his creation of unity eventually became the cornerstone of the new world.

Different from Qin Ming's growth, Yan Qi finally left freely and became a free fairy. The first half of his life cannot be said to be very happy, but after that he will definitely live a carefree life.

It’s great that there will be no free prisoners in the future.

——The King of Order and the King of Silence.

There isn't much written about King of Order, but he does a pretty good job. He is a character that is so traditional that it is almost a template, but he can also give people a sufficient sense of oppression when he appears on the stage. Among the psychopaths like the Eternal King, he may be the one who looks most like a "king". The fate of the Red Emperor's royal family is also the fate of the King of Order himself. The cold king who retired after a hearty battle also has a burning fighting spirit in his heart.

The King of Silence really deserves more interactive space at the front. Her role is as "scattered" as Qiluo's, and she is a character created by exploiting every opportunity. And a disaster star who only knows destruction is not easy to mobilize emotions, so he has the performance of being a girl after being injected with emotions in the end (laughs)

I have to say that when I wrote that chapter, I wrote very quickly. This kind of paranoid drama is more suitable for me than the fate of the world, which is about right and wrong.

——The King of Equality.

The last king, the last enemy, is not the first nor the seventh but the third.

I really enjoyed writing King Pingren, he perfectly fits the image of a "big villain" in my mind. He is bad, evil, shameless, and has double standards, but he also has his own pursuits and dreams. He has his own likes and dislikes towards human beings, but he never looks down upon or despises others. He has a good relationship with the protagonist and is the culprit of all the plot, but he doesn't deliberately disgust people. He has traps, scheming, mechanisms and pure power. If you overcome all these and defeat him upright, then victory should be yours.

He is a bad guy but also a good friend, so I like him very much.

The final battle of this book seems a bit anti-routine (suddenly breaking into reincarnation) and a bit too routine (in the end, everyone's voice becomes the power), with very two-dimensional rhetoric and conceptual refutation, but as the end of the entire story of superpowers, It's pretty good in my opinion. Thank you in every sense of the word, Mr. Lan.

·

The character review of the six volumes has been completed, and the plot layout is also something everyone has said many times. There is not much to talk about Che Zulu, so why not talk about the characters who accompany me in this book.

——Shigure Reiichi and Caldesia.

The couple's personal lines were all collected in 2 or 3 volumes, causing them to become symbols of daily life. If it were a normal work, 01 could join the protagonist group and continue the adventure of the second male lead, but the protagonist group of our story = A Ce and the girls, so 01 has no choice but to take a back seat...

Although he looked very satisfied, he became a happy little goldfish after defeating Wataru. I had already thought about how to use the cursed balance at the end, and he also tried his best for the final battle.

——Mo Yuankai and Orianna.

The eldest brother is also my favorite character. He and Orianna are a bright spot in the story. They are all very simple and bright good people, but they are not perfect people. It is a pity that due to the limitation of the final space, Big Brother was not able to exert the final effect in the final volume, but their appearance in the fifth volume also completed the plot of the hero's return, which is great.

——Qiluo.

Kirakira~

Qi Luo is actually a character created before the second volume was written. In the original original case, she would appear as a loser in love, and as a behind-the-scenes person, she would silently support everyone active on the stage outside...

However, I felt that writing her in this way was cruel, as she was a poor girl who secretly shed tears behind her back, so Qiluo joined the protagonist group and became a permanent character. As a result, Qiluo lost her home base and often made every effort to shape her. It wasn’t until Volume 6 that she finally had her own battle episode (the real-voice one doesn’t count). I feel that the girl’s shaping was completed only by the end of the battle. .

I will continue to be active on the stage in the future. It’s great to have a well-known idol girlfriend~

By the way, Maho was scheduled to be the main character in Volume 4, but the role was divided among the other girls. Maho-nee...I like her very much too...

It just so happened that he was given a role in the sixth volume as the seed of Huangxiang. Mr. Lan was very happy when he saw this part.

——Alandia.

White moonlight.

Alandia is Bai Yueguang's role. Writing it was equally stressful but very enjoyable. The interaction between her and Xiao Guice is one of the most enjoyable scenes I have written in the whole book. I love this one!

The emotional line between her and A Ce is one of the biggest driving forces of this book. After writing the last chapter of the 5 volumes, I really feel that I can finish the whole book. She is also a good teacher and a reliable combatant. Writing Volume 0 according to my personality will definitely be a great victory for her and Xiao Guice... So why did I set such a total annihilation ending? I want to strangle them both. Me years ago.

Alandia is a character who can easily appear in any situation. She plays a major role in fighting, and is a detective in deciphering. There are all kinds of laughs in daily dramas, and when combined with the adolescent turmoil of the kid A Ce, it is even more special to me. good. Her white matter was master c in the end, just like herself.

——Rei Shigure.

Fairy tale witch.

It's hard for me to say whether the girls in this game are better or worse - I like them all equally - but Zero was very comfortable to write. I don’t need to specifically conceive her plot, I just need to set up a scene to put her and Ace together, and the interaction between them will naturally start, and they will let the story go on by themselves.

She is very smart, has her own set of concepts, and has her own unique strength. She is not inferior or arrogant, and she works hard to live a down-to-earth life. Her personal line is completed in Volume 3, but her appearance after that never seems "superfluous". I've never tried to force 0's role into a role, I knew she would play a role in the situation.

The direction of 0 is the direction of this book. She has a terrible start (volume 1 is heartbreaking), but she gradually gets better after that. Regardless of personal preferences and just looking at it from the author's perspective, she is one of the characters I am most satisfied with in this book.

——Qin Qianbai.

Look, look, this is a helpless expression.

The most difficult character to write, bar none.

Xiaoqian... Xiaoqian...

It’s a heroine that I really stumbled upon to write, this girl was so tiring to write. Her initial setting was not outstanding, and the martial arts master with a paralyzed face was a label that could be called ordinary. Her main plot has twists and turns. Originally, Xiaoqian was a late-stage character who had to wait until the sixth volume to have a real home. Her power system is the Huitian Technique that was only developed midway, which makes Xiaoqian's upgrade more difficult to write compared to the Impermanence Technique.

What's more important is that she carries a whole main line. In many cases, she is more like a protagonist than Gongsun Ce and has more motivation to become stronger. When writing Xiao Qian, I was not writing a leading female character, but a heroine alongside A Ce, which was really beyond my capabilities. Therefore, compared with the harmonious and natural Ling, Xiao Qian often needs to write some more "forced" plots. This is because on the protagonist's side, I have not done a good job in her long-term planning.

But on the female lead side, this girl is reassuringly stable. Being able to have radio conversations and play animated cartoons with A Ce and being silly together, and sharing the same love of sex, they both contribute a lot of laughter and a sense of daily life. It is difficult to write about Xiaoqian as the protagonist, but Xiaoqian as the heroine is undoubtedly the core of the romantic comedy.

——Gongsun Ce.

So finally, let’s talk about Ace.

Ace is the most complex and awkward character I have ever written. Regardless of the two-dimensional protagonist or the protagonist of the online novel, he seems "out of tune" with the mainstream. He had a strong self-destructive tendency in the early stage. In the past chapter, he was a vicious but clever kid. After becoming a witch, he looked like a hateful harem protagonist. But when acting alone, he was strong enough to act as an independent strongman.

It’s good if one person can write one aspect well, but A Ce is a character with many aspects. I can say directly here that I will never write such a complicated guy in the future. He is the most arduous and tiring to write, and another terrible thing is that his emotions will directly affect me when I write. (So I was so happy after he channeled the spirit. I used to write about mental illness for a long time and I almost became depressed. Damn it.)

This book is the growth story of A Ce. At the beginning, he was mean, weird and even annoying. Now he may be considered a "reliable" guy. He still has various small problems with his otaku mentality. After all, growing up does not mean saying goodbye to his past self, and he has also overcome the challenges of the past and moved towards a new life.

In the final moment, the guy is finally complete. I am very happy to have finished writing A Ce’s story. I am very happy to be able to write this book.

·

Then, let’s talk about dreams and the future.

First, I'm going to take some time off. This book has drained all my reserves. Basically, a weak author cannot write a good story. I need time to collect materials, learn, and more importantly, adjust my state. After I started working, I gained weight again, and the work pressure was also high. New employment is a critical period, and writing is a hobby after all, because I don’t want to have deeds that affect the story due to the real situation. I have to take good care of my body and life before I can write a story that satisfies me.

So I will disappear for a period of time, maybe a few months or half a year, maybe not that long. But if conditions permit, I will still write the next book.

The style of the next book will be a more relaxed (really relaxed this time) adventure exploration story. Now that I’ve started writing stories, I’ve finally figured out what style suits me. I’m not good at writing stories about suffering, hatred, hatred, and the fate of the world. Instead, the adventurous love stories of young girls have won my heart. It's just a little more serious than the current Pokémon series, which is just right for me.

In addition, I am really not good at long-term projects. I can only manage a medium-length project at most. Therefore, the next book will be less of a story with hundreds of chapters. I want to intersperse light-hearted short stories with royal novels, allowing the characters to adventure in an interesting world in a way that does not put pressure on the reader.

The tone of this story will be light-hearted, but its background must be solid. I don't mean that I don't intend to touch on serious topics and ideological differences at all, but I want the entire story to be presented in a way that can be easily read, without being overwhelming. Like Cangdu, there is a strong sense of fragmentation.

In other words, I won’t let the foundation fall apart just because I’m writing a happy story, so don’t worry (laughs)

There may be fewer anime memes (I’m not as two-dimensional as I used to be), but his core remains the same: a relaxed, happy and royal adventure story with a handsome protagonist and cute girls, and it must have a happy ending in the end.

When my editing is complete and the next book is ready, I will publish a chapter in this book. If you are interested in reading it then, please support it.
