Chapter 63: Cultivation Method
(I was also very tangled when I was writing this chapter. After all, simple narrative is very boring, and there is no way to enjoy fighting. But there is no way. These backgrounds and settings need to be marked, otherwise I will write what so-and-so can do and so-and-so out of thin air. What is my cultivation level? Some readers may be confused about the reason. I may have some signs of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Haha, I won’t go into details. You guys, please continue reading. I will write more and more exciting articles in the future!)
The Shenlong Dao Fruit is not so easy to prove. After all, it is a supreme Dao Fruit, comparable to that of a saint. And it can only grow by absorbing merit, dragon energy, the power of faith and increasing the understanding of the Tao. Other cultivation methods have minimal effect on the improvement of the Tao.
Because Tao Fruit is a very mysterious thing, its existence is like the realm of mortal thought to the physical body. Conventional methods have no effect on Tao Fruit.
Eating well and drinking well does not necessarily mean that the state of mind is noble, and it will increase accordingly; similarly, the method by which practitioners absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth to improve their cultivation has a minimal effect on the improvement of Tao and Fruit.
Only treasures such as merit, dragon energy, the power of faith and some genius treasures with unique effects that can directly affect the spirit, thought, soul and even the true spirit are what Yunlong needs.
When Chaos first emerged, Taoist ancestor Hongjun once preached in Zixiao Palace. He once said that there are thousands of avenues, and all of them can be used to achieve enlightenment. However, in summary, there are three ways to achieve enlightenment and become a saint:
Make extremely huge contributions to heaven, earth and the Dao, gather immeasurable merits, obtain the recognition of heaven and attain enlightenment through merit and sanctification;
With great perseverance, great wisdom, great opportunities, and great magic power, one can eliminate the three thoughts of good, evil, and obsession, so that one's true spirit can be completely consistent with the way of heaven, and be recognized by the way of heaven, so that the soul can rest in the void and achieve the holy path. The method of killing three corpses to become a saint;
Gathering the magic power of countless calamities into oneself, and possessing a matching state of mind and cultivation, the two are combined into one, even if the heavenly law is destroyed, it cannot cause harm to it, and it is recognized by the heavenly law (there is nothing you can do), and you can prove it by achieving the holy path. The Tao becomes the Holy Dharma.
So far, among all the saints, only Taoist ancestor Hongjun became a saint by beheading three corpses. He then opened the Zixiao Palace to preach, taught all living beings in the world, gained immeasurable merit, and finally merged with the way of heaven and became the incarnation of the way of heaven. It can be said that he killed three corpses. The Three Corpses Enlightenment and the Merit Enlightenment are both integrated into one, so the achievement is higher, and he is the first person under the true Great Way;
The rest of Taishang Laojun, Yuanshi Tianzun, Tongtian Cult Master, Nuwa, Jieyin Taoist, and Zhunti Taoist are all people designated as saints by Hongjun, Taoist ancestor of Zixiao Palace. Sanqing has great magic power and contains a layer of Kai. The heavenly merits plus the merits of establishing a teaching resulted in the merits of becoming a saint. Later, he practiced the method of killing three corpses to attain enlightenment, but it is not yet complete;
Nuwa had a great opportunity to obtain the merit of creating a human being and became a saint through merit, but the method of enlightenment she later chose is unknown;
Zhunti and Jieying had great wisdom and perseverance, and created the Great Vision Enlightenment Method. However, the requirements for this method are very strict and the qualification requirements are extremely high, so there is no possibility of promotion; (the method is: using the Taoist mind as the By making a great wish to Heaven to achieve great merits upon completion, one obtains immeasurable merits given by Heaven in advance, and then fulfills one's great wishes. If one's subsequent actions violate Hongyuan's promise, then the merits will dissipate and the Taoist heart will be broken. Therefore, although the Great Wishes Enlightenment method is convenient, it can be said to be the most restrictive method of Enlightenment.) In addition, I became a saint through the merits of establishing a teaching, and later practiced the Nirvana Enlightenment Method and the Dream Enlightenment Method respectively. But it is not perfect yet, so it is not yet complete.
Therefore, strictly speaking, except for Daozu Hongjun, all the other saints became saints through merit, but they just adopted different methods. The path that Yunlong is taking now is somewhat similar to that of Hongyuan's enlightenment, but his great wish is just to find a new cultivation path - the Dragon's Way, which has a relatively small scope of influence, so the merits bestowed upon him by heaven and earth It is also relatively small; but there are gains and losses. In the future, he will be less restricted by this ambition and have a greater degree of freedom.
I think back then, Taoist priests Jingyin and Zhunti, in order to obtain enough merit for becoming a saint, made super ambitious aspirations, such as:
If I achieve supreme Bodhi and attain enlightenment, the Buddha land I live in will be endowed with immeasurable and inconceivable merits and majesty. There are no hells, hungry ghosts, beasts, or crawling insects. All sentient beings, as well as those in the Yanmaru Realm and the three evil realms, who will be born in my land in the future, will be transformed by my Dharma and will achieve Anuttarasamyaksambodhi, and will never fall into the evil realms again. If you get this wish, you will become a Buddha. If you don't have this wish, you won't achieve supreme enlightenment. (1. The wish that the country be free from evil destinies; 2. The wish not to fall into the evil destinies)
When I become a Buddha, all living beings in the worlds of the ten directions who are born in my land will have purple-ground true golden bodies and thirty-two kinds of majestic appearances. Upright and clean, all of the same kind. If the appearance is different and there is a preference for ugliness, one will not achieve enlightenment. (3. The golden wish to be aware of the body; 4. The wish to have thirty-two phases; 5. The wish to have no difference in the body)
When I become a Buddha, all sentient beings who are born in my country will know their destiny for countless kalpas and will do good and evil. All can see clearly, hear clearly, and know what is going, coming, and present in the ten directions. If you don't get what you want, you won't achieve enlightenment. (6. The wish of destiny; 7. The wish of heavenly eye; 8. The wish of heavenly ear)
When I become a Buddha, all sentient beings who are born in my country will have access to his mind. If one does not fully understand the thoughts of sentient beings in hundreds of thousands of Buddha lands, he will not achieve enlightenment. (9. He has the same wish)
When I become a Buddha, all sentient beings who are born in my country will attain supernatural powers and attain the perfection of freedom and perfection. In a moment of thought, one cannot exceed hundreds of thousands of Buddha lands in hundreds of millions of nayutas. He who travels around and makes offerings to the Buddhas will not achieve perfect enlightenment. (10. Divine Sufficient Wishes; 11. Practicing Vows to All Buddhas)······
There are forty-eight such grand wishes, covering almost all the wishes of all sentient beings in the world. The meaning of the grand wish issued by Western religions is to convert them all and believe in Buddhism.
Only with such a great ambition can one be rewarded by heaven with merits sufficient to become a saint. However, I am afraid that this ambition will never be realized; without him, other saints' sects will never give in. Otherwise, everyone will believe in your Buddhism, and what will happen to the other saints' orthodoxies?
Therefore, due to the limitations of their ambitions, Western sects had to find ways to increase the luck of the West. As a result, they had many conflicts with Eastern sects, which aroused the dissatisfaction of the Sanqing Dynasty. They were always rejected by the "Pangu Authentic Sect" until the Battle of the Gods. After the Qing Dynasty split, it managed to seize the fortune of the East and prospered.
Merit is very difficult to obtain, especially those activities that can obtain immeasurable merit, such as: creating humans, creating the six paths of reincarnation, repairing the sky, etc. Therefore, today's cultivators are honest and accumulate merit bit by bit. Even if you can only get ten merits from doing one thing, then doing ten thousand or one hundred thousand things is still very impressive.
Merits are very difficult to obtain in large quantities, because only those who have made outstanding contributions to heaven, earth, sentient beings, and the Dao will be granted corresponding merits by Heaven. Such good deeds generally belong to those who have high cultivation, great power, and profound Taoism. Scholars have done it, and the number of people participating will never be small. There are too many monks but too few meat, and it is easy to be contaminated by cause and effect, which is difficult to handle;
Dragon Qi can be increased by improving cultivation, stimulating the body, and stimulating the production speed of one's own Dragon Qi. However, the amount produced by an individual is ultimately limited and can only be accumulated slowly. But this is a general situation. Yunlong has extraordinary powers after all, and he has other ways to solve this problem.
I recommend my friend's work "Xiaohun", which is updated steadily and has many manuscripts saved. I believe: The current human civilization is not the only civilization on earth. The I Ching, Qigong, astrology, Yin Yang and Five Elements, Three Souls and Seven Souls... are the legacies left by ancient civilizations or foreign civilizations on earth!
Corpse dog, non-poisonous, swallowing thieves, smelly lungs, sparrow yin, removing filth, and hiding arrows are seven fellow practitioners; yin and yang and five elements, four images and eight combinations...! ps This book has a certain cultural heritage, and the language is both humorous and solemn. It is suitable for reading by friends aged 1 to 100 years old:). The plot behind it is weird and unique, so please be mentally prepared.
