The masterpieces handed down from ancient times in the Southern Song Dynasty were slowly opened with the help of the island woman and May. This is a scroll on silk, ink and color, with a horizontal length of about 76 cm and a vertical length of about 176 cm.
Avalokitesvara, also known as Guanyin, is one of the most familiar Buddhist figures to us. The Avalokitesvara in front of us is different from the common Avalokitesvara statues with one head and two hands. There are twenty-six Bodhisattva heads and one Buddha head on her head. She has a thousand hands, and there is an eye in the middle of each hand, so Known as Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva with Thousand Arms and Thousand Eyes, it is an important example of Avalokitesvara in Esoteric Buddhism.
This Avalokitesvara with Thousand Arms and Thousand Eyes stands on a lotus platform with thirty-two faces, each with three eyes and wearing a crown. The thirty-two faces are divided into five layers, with a Buddha face on top.
There are eighteen hands in front of the body, and there are 982 hands in the lotus petal-shaped backlight, a total of one thousand hands. There is a eye in the palm of each hand, which may form a seal, act as a law enforcement object, or appear as a Buddha, which is spectacular.
On the lotus petal-shaped backlight, Buddhas gather together, with Sakyamuni Buddha in the center and Buddhas from the ten directions on the left and right.
Directly below, there are four heavenly kings carrying lotus pedestals, and two Bodhisattvas stand on the left and right. On the left is Sunlight Bodhisattva and the Bodhisattva holding a sword in one hand, and on the right is Moonlight Bodhisattva and the Bodhisattva holding a diamond bell in one hand. At the bottom are the eight guardian gods, Tianlong, with four gods on the left and right.
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva wears the Buddha's crown on her head, has cyanotic hair hanging down her shoulders, and has a mustache above and below her lips. She still looks like a man. But the facial features are beautiful and already reveal feminine characteristics. The whole picture is full of beautiful colors, the decoration of the necklace and the Seven Treasures Lotus Platform are all painted very carefully, and the lines of the characters' clothes are soft and smooth. It is a very rare fine Buddhist painting.
Li Mo looked at it for a while, and then with a sweep of his strange pupils, the entire picture was illuminated by a light orange halo, which then turned into layers of halo, making the Thousand-Hands and Thousand-Eyed Avalokitesvara exude an even more mysterious color.
This is an authentic painting from the late Southern Song Dynasty. The only pity is that I don’t know which master’s hand it was.
Moreover, he seemed to have some impression of "Avalokitesvara with Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes" in his mind. He didn't see the original work somewhere, but saw the directory.
Li Mo remained calm and said with a hint of disdain: "Whether this painting is an authentic work from the Southern Song Dynasty has yet to be confirmed, but people have a different face, and I doubt you will come up with a fake to embarrass me. Tell me, this is How much is the painting worth?”
"Mr. Qin, we obtained this painting through special channels. The purchase price was US$15 million, but if it were put at auction, it would easily exceed US$20 million."
Regarding the price mentioned by the woman from this island country, Li Mo agreed. If he met a rich man who believed in Buddhism, it would not be impossible even if he offered him 30 million US dollars. Faith was priceless.
"Do you have other top-quality antiques in your hands? It doesn't matter whether you have money or not. I'm very interested in those antiques."
"Mr. Qin means that we can use antiques as bets?"
"As long as the antiques in your hands have that qualification."
The island woman saluted Li Mo, returned to the fat man and said a few words to him. The fat man named Jem stared at Li Mo in the cage with fierce eyes. He communicated quietly with another rich man for a while, and then nodded towards the island country woman.
The fat man brought two paintings over himself, and then another rich man also supported one. Seeing this scene, Li Mo felt that they should have a lot of good stuff, otherwise they wouldn't use it for gambling.
"Mr. Qin, please take a look at the second ink painting on paper "Lu Yu Cooking Tea" by Zhao Yuan, a Yuan Dynasty painter from China."
Li Mo looked carefully and saw that the distant mountains in this painting are rolling, the nearby mountains are towering, and the mountains and rivers are quiet. The layout is full of mountains and rivers, and the water is surrounded by zigzag shapes, creating a momentum that goes back and forth.
Near the wide water, there is a thatched house built near the water, with lush vegetation on all sides. A small path leads to the winding path and extends out of the picture, as if the place is hidden in the mountains and forests. There is a person in the pavilion, sitting on the couch with his knees propped up. He should be Lu Yu. A boy is sitting on one side, holding a stove and cooking tea.
The author inscribed himself with five characters, "Picture of Lu Yu Cooking Tea", and wrote a poem: Whose hut in the mountains is it? He sat there and chanted until the sun went down. The common people don't come, the birds disperse, and they call the children to fetch water and make new tea.
The poem with the inscription "Peeping Spots" in the middle is: Sleeping on the mountain fortress, thirsty and longing for thoughts, calling for children to cut tea to wash away the withered intestines. The soft dust falls and the dragon ball is green, and the living water turns the crab's eyes yellow. There is a soft rhyme of thunder in the ears, and the wind blows in the nose and the fragrance is smelled. A cup of water makes my eyes wide open, and I enjoy playing in Tiaoxi Yunshui Township.
In the upper right corner of the screen, there is an inscription written by Emperor Qianlong: Mr. Gu Bian is idle in his thatched cottage, while the schoolboys are cooking tea in the clouds. There is no floating smoke boat on the Qianxi River, and the living path of Hengbi is far away.
There are two seals of Zhao and Zhao Shanchang, and there are many vaguely identifiable collection seals from right to left, such as Zijing, Molin secret play, Xiang Zijing family collection, Qianlong Chenhan, Wuyizhai, Wancuihua and other collection seals.
When Li Mo saw the end, his eyes swept away. This "Picture of Lu Yu Cooking Tea" is not only an authentic work by the late Yuan Dynasty painter Zhao Yuan, but also an authentic work that has been passed down in an orderly manner. Even Emperor Qianlong even inscribed it with his own pen, which shows its historical value and Market value.
This damn fat man actually took out two famous masterpieces in his hand, and he didn't know where he bought them.
Li Mo thought to himself a few times, and suddenly his face turned extremely ugly. He finally remembered why he felt a little familiar with the masterpiece "Avalokitesvara with Thousand Hands and Thousand Eyes". Not only this one, but also the second "Lu Yu Cooking Tea" by Zhao Yuan of the Yuan Dynasty. He seemed to have seen it somewhere. The two famous paintings were handed down together. The appearance made the vague memories in his mind clear.
Both paintings once appeared on the list of the Wandao Palace Museum. Back then, he won a battle with the Wandao Museum. These two paintings were included in the list of antique cultural relics given there, and they were called by the people there. The treasure of the town hall.
But now those two famous paintings have appeared on the black market in the United States, in the hands of a rich American man.
Only then did Li Mo understand what the island woman meant before by "obtaining it through special channels". Could it be that there was a big thief at the Bay Island Museum, colluding with people outside?
Even such a masterpiece that has been handed down from generation to generation has been exiled to the United States. I can’t imagine if there are more national treasures that have been taken out by thieves in the dark.
These two paintings must be brought back, and the matter must be contacted immediately and confirmed by the country.
"Mr. Qin, what do you think of this painting?"
The expression on Li Mo's face was a bit strange, so the woman from the island country couldn't help but ask.
"I can't see through it."
Li Mo shook his head, not knowing clearly meant to tell the other party that he could not confirm whether it was really an authentic work by the Yuan Dynasty painter Zhao Yuan.
"Mr. Qin, don't worry. No one who comes here for gambling dares to come with a fake. The market price of this painting is 35 million US dollars. If there is no objection, let's continue to look at the third painting?"
The real market value of these two paintings is much higher than the price she quoted, which only shows that the price they paid when they obtained these two paintings through special channels was not as high as they imagined.
When those giant rats are found, they must be allowed to taste what peanuts taste like.
"You don't have to read the third one. Just use these three paintings and add 200 million US dollars as a bet. I will fight you with all my life to see if I am lucky or you are just unlucky."
"Mr. Qin, you absolutely must not do this."
Yuyue was so frightened that his face looked extremely ugly. He was crazy. He was so crazy. "Stick the head, Xingkong, take Mr. Qin and leave immediately."
Dashan did not dare to let Li Mo continue gambling. These people were all desperadoes. If the three of them fought with the intention of fighting to the death, then even if Li Mo was not in danger, he would be left with a lifelong disability if he was not careful.
The risk is too great and no one can afford it.
