Four people walked out from behind An Zhixian, carried the two people who were stunned and threw them into the pit.
Amid Feng Xiaoran's protest, An Zhixian and Ling Yi entered the "village" holding torches.
As we got closer, there were more and more torches, but there was not much noise from hundreds of people. One of the eight guards at the door smiled and cursed when he saw the two of them:
"You must be starving after standing here for a long time. There is meat tonight. Go and eat it. If it's later, it will be gone."
Another guard complained: "It's not satisfying to have meat but no wine. I have to get drunk when I get out."
An Zhixian Lingyi nodded with the two of them, held a torch and walked inside. Listening to the sound, he walked towards the largest house on the left.
Walking into the room, rows of long wooden tables were filled with people on both sides, devouring their meals. The room was almost filled with the sound of dishes and chopsticks.
An Zhixian Lingyi walked along the only path along the wall, his eyes quickly scanning the people in the room.
They are all men, mostly young people in their teens, the youngest is a child of eight or nine years old, and the oldest is no more than forty.
They were all wearing coarse cloth single clothes, their hair was messy, some people's clothes were torn, and dark red whip marks could be seen on their exposed backs.
The masked man standing next to several large pots saw An Zhixian and Ling Yi and opened one of the plates covering the pot:
"Come quickly, it's still hot. The boss asked me to save some for you two and take it back to the house to eat."
Ling Yi walked forward calmly, picked up the plate of meat and was about to go out, but was stopped by the man serving the rice:
"Hey, hey, you just want to eat meat? I didn't get any rice."
An Zhixian stepped forward to bring the meal and asked in a low voice: "Have you eaten, boss?"
The man pointed to the other two plates of food beside the pot and said, "The boss is taking a bath and hasn't eaten yet. These two plates are for the boss. I will bring them to him right away."
An Zhixian: "Let's go together, we just have something to talk to the boss about."
"Okay, I'll serve the boss some food."
An Zhixian: "I'll get it for you."
There was a man leading the way. An Zhixian was holding the food and Ling Yi looked at each other. Ling Yi immediately took two quick steps to block the man's sight.
An Zhixian looked around, took out the porcelain bottle in his arms, uncorked it, and poured the contents into the food.
Not far away, a wooden house that was obviously much more exquisite than the other houses appeared in front of them. Four guards were guarding the door of the wooden house. Ling Yi saw this and clutched his stomach and shouted in pain:
"Ouch, my stomach feels uncomfortable again. You'd better go take me there. I have to go to a hut."
Man: "Give them the food."
Ling Yi bent over and handed the food to the guard, turned around and covered his stomach and shouted:
"If I have to have a bowel movement today, I will be too painful and weak to walk. You can send me there."
The man said impatiently: "There are so many things to do, how much pain can a stomach ache have? Just leave the food and send it to him."
An Zhixian nodded, handed the food to the guard, and helped Ling Yi to leave.
After the wooden house was no longer in sight, Ling Yi straightened up and the two of them walked quickly around the village before heading towards the gate.
The guard at the gate saw this and asked, "You two eat so fast?"
Ling Yi: "We haven't eaten yet. The boss asked us to call those two back. We have something to ask. They are so hungry that they can't walk. We are waiting for you here. You can help me call them."
The leading guard: "Why are you so anxious and you have to ask now? Who will look after them when they come back?"
An Zhixian lowered his voice: "How did we know that the boss lost his temper and we didn't dare to ask, so you should ask."
